bachelorette recap 💍 fantasy suites (jenn's season)

hello everybody and welcome back to my vog today is the bachelor at blogcast so we of course are joined by ingred um today we are talking about the fantasy suite episode of The Bachelorette and then tomorrow we're gonna be talking about the menel all uh so we'll see how long this one goes uh it was a really good episode for me it got me back into the show after this L of boring um that the last couple episodes have been but excited to have two Bachelor nights in a row and sorry we did not prep at all for this one usually we're texting each other we do a little debrief kind of like clue each other into what we're going to talk about but ing's a cat mom now uh to little baby kittens literally has to feed and I had a busy work day so here we are yeah also like you're G to have to like refresh me with like some of the things because literally I was like feeding cats while I Fe feeding kittens while I was like watching this so I missed out on not really missed out I just didn't pay attention as much as I used to yeah but the important parts I paid attention to like these the madas yes so that was the best part well and it showed a little bit about Jonathan's character which I didn't love um which we'll get to um just all right reluctant he's like cheat day I'm like you're on TV get over it um and then my background I decided to go with I'm learning this as a terrible background because it's like disappearing uh if you haven't seen the movie He's Just Not That Into You um that's all I was thinking during Devon and Jen SCH dat is like she's just got that into you so I decided to go with this to really reflect how this episode felt for me so apologies it looks like there's like weird shadows for some reason my background's like fading in and out so everyone's just going to have to deal with it um so that I can make this point um okay let's get started again we're gonna be all over the place today I just have this feeling so first one-on-one date is with Devin he starts the date very hesitant because he has said I love you to Jen like a thousand times and she has not reciprocated that at all um and I thought it was really funny too because like his family pressured him to say I love you and not hold back feelings and all I was thinking those people and I'd be like God damn it Dad you're ruining my life again like not only did you leave me but also you told me to tell this woman I love her and she clearly doesn't love me back so let's start there he starts the day kind of feeling like I think I like her a lot more than she likes me what were you thinking during all of this like were you understanding where Devon was coming from or do you think he's projecting a little bit I think his insecurities are definitely like showing um I don't know maybe he hasn't seen the show he hasn't watched Bachelor Bachelorette but like no one really says it's like taboo to say I love you right on like that or like on the like when there's like three people left right like you typically don't say like if you're the Bachelor or the bachelor you typically don't say I love you until they're the one that you chose and they're the ones propos in um or you're proposing to if you're the Bachelor and like I remember like I forgot who was it JoJo that said like I love you to like no uh I think it was Peter was it Peter i s it was a girl no JoJo was one of the people oh wait it was Ben Higgins JoJo was on the receiving end of that ah okay okay yeah but yeah no like is like when that happened when he said I love to like multiple like people like it was like a big thing you know like you just it's just not expected for the show for them to say I love you so like I get it like it's not reciprocated but at the same time I'm like dude watch the show before you get on it because this is totally normal like she might be in love with you but like you know she won't say it like she knows she won't like it's not a good idea to say it at this time I would agree with you but let me rephrase I don't think he says I love you I think he says I'm falling in love with you and she won't even say that like and that's where didn't she say I'm falling didn't she say I'm falling fore though I don't think he said straight up I love you okay on the PS well we'll get into it more once we get on the DAT I think there are very clear things she says that like even if she did say I'm following redact that statement and make me go like oh God like if I heard that I'd be like can I just leave like but we oh yeah no um like it's most like her body language comparing to the other two guys are very different when it comes to but there's also something I feel like you're forgetting that she said that I'll bring up later that was very like run and I'm not even saying like Jen is toxic there's a problem with Jen but I'm like she's Just Not That Into You like just go with your instinct and I'll remind you of it in a second um okay because literally my mind is blank um so they go on a date and I'm kind of blanking on their date because it was just very what ever they go to the beach and they're just like hanging out like a helicopter again oh yeah they went in the helicopter which I'm like I thought you were afraid of heights this is your like at least third helicopter and that's not exaggerating multiple planes at this point like I guess they were on a lot of islands but still like just never driving in a car it feels like uh always taking a helicopter um so they're in the helicopter they're kind of kissing and cutesy and like being you know Devon and Jen and then they get on this speech and they kind of start having the serious talk and Devon expresses again like either I love you or I'm falling in love with you and this is where I think you're forgetting something he's just expressing all of his emotions and she's just staring at him like not giving any validation and for someone who needs validation and needs validation from everyone regardless of how important they are to her it was bizarre to me that she couldn't give him some validation of like like what you're saying like this is the process careful and he finally gets done talking and she goes I'm trying I'm really trying I remember I I remember hearing this and I'm skipping forward a little bit to Marcus's date but there's this episode of How I Met Your Mother if anyone's a fan like this is relevant no matter what where they talk about the concept of being on someone's hook so everyone's on someone's hook so Ted is in love with this girl who's on her ex-boyfriend's hook and like who will always kind of like go back to him he has a girl who's in love with him who is on like his hook so like she'll do anything for him and like embarrass herself and whatever and I was just like Devin or yeah Devin is on Jen's hook like he is just there to be there and the reason I say that is because like well Jen is on Marcus's hook and Devin is on Jen's hook I might be messing this all up but if you watch later in the episode pay attention I was so surprised I caught this Marcus says to Jen he's talking about how he's not necessarily there yet with her and he goes I'm trying I'm trying and says the exact same thing and so I'm like I was wondering if these like dates are in order like if Marcus's actually happened first and deon's happened after that because she uses the same exact phrase Marcus tells her I'm trying which we'll get to that and then she or you know before that says to I'm trying like I'm trying to get there and so I'm like that to me say it to her I'm like that is so bad that is so bad I don't know if that's a weird coincidence but that's terrible if like she's just using the same phrase and it was already bad enough because how awful to hear that when you tell someone I love you no I didn't catch that literally I was like just listening to like I wasn't I wasn't listening to Jen honestly like I was just listening to guys and what they have to say that like explains a lot more to why you know when um Devon was like talking to Jesse this this one line that he said like broke me because I was just like oh [ __ ] I was like I feel so bad for this guy he was like um he's he's saying like he doesn't feel like he's the one he feels more like the one of and I was like depressing we've and like remember like that one that one episode when the ex came in and um I told you I was like I kind of really admired Devon for saying that he would leave because like he's been through this before he knows how it feels to just be like kind of you know to have someone who's still like hung up on like an ex that also kind of like comes back like that same not saying that he's the different Devon then like that similar like idea and I said starting to come back like this episode because it's like he's mature enough to like kind of know like what triggers him right and he's mature enough to kind of know like what is right for him like what like what to look out for like what are the red flags but I feel like he's just so like in love with Jen that like he doesn't want to believe it yeah and it's like I yeah I feel bad for the guy well and I just like I will say I have a little bit of doubt about Devon's intentions but it's like a very small percentage of Me Part of me like I don't necessarily think people are in Love on this show but imagine like having no access to other human being having no cell phone you can't call your family like you have no interaction with the outside world you can't watch TV you can't be in tune so like I do think even if people aren't in love for the long term like they do fall in love for the short term like even if it dissipates after then a part of me is like Devon seems so pragmatic and I don't think he's like doing this maliciously but I'm like does he kind of understand how this show works even though he's never really watched it he's like this is where I'm supposed to be like I definitely do think he has feelings for her but that little bit of skepticism sneaks in and then I said this last week and I want to reiterate it because when me and Matt were watching I said this again I go didn't I say last week Devon has never dated someone like Jen and Jen has never dated someone like Devon I go and it's abundantly obvious she's never dated the average looking not super cut up like not the hottest guy in the room like personality over looks guy and like I don't say that as if like Devon is just not a catch I'm just saying like when you as much as I hate Samm if you compare a one to one ratio of Samm to Devon and you pull all the women in the world Samm is winning period on story like going by looks and I think it's just making it more more glaringly obvious like and again I'll get into some commentary about I Jen and Jonathan um but I think it's glaringly obvious she's never dated like the good personality guy because I think she's very Baseline very basic it's why Jonathan's the funny one and like why she got along with so much like I don't think it's about she kept saying like and this was such [ __ ] like I just you know don't know a good thing when it's in front of me I'm like just say the truth you just aren't compatible with this guy you just don't like him as much like Jonathan or Marcus and that's okay stop making up these stories of like I don't know how to love a good guy Jonathan's good guy like so is Marcus from what we know on the show obviously we know some background information it's just like that's not what it is you're just not into them and you just don't want to say that you want to make this whole story line of like I'm the hurt traumatized and I don't know how to love the right people which is just such a [ __ ] lying to me it's so easy for her to show her love to Jonathan and Marcus that like why was it so difficult with Devon and like you know she says she's trying but she is definitely you know you could see her trying for the other guys just not with him and I don't think it's about like them not being compatible it's just more of like because they are like compatible if she actually just like opens her eyes like they are compatible she's just not attracted to him there we go that's a better way to put it yeah she's not attracted to him and that's fine he's not her type like it's kind of like what Jeremy's mom said about Jeremy and her like described your type in an interview and Jeremy's not that type so like what's going on here um yeah so I just think like I feel really bad for Devon but I also just want to be like okay now you wake up and maybe just leave which we have the episode tonight to answer that um but I'm just like just just go go like she she you're going to go home like and I thought Deon was a front runner but now that it's so narrowed down and you're kind of seeing more what Jen's looking for like it's clear it's not Devon in my opinion and maybe I'm wrong but it to me if it does end up being Devon I think it's going to be a forced situation her trying to do the quote unquote like right thing a good thing um with Devon though like his he's not as confident as I thought he was um like he is s like very insecure yeah like from what I'm saying because it's like the one thing like you said that you faced like a little bit more you were a bit skeptical with him um and I can like see that with um there's this line that he said um he wants to be number one he wants to be like the first one and I'm just like what is this for you because it's kind of like you know she's the hot girl like and you said like she's NE he's never been with someone like her like you to heal your insecurities you want to win the you want to be number one for the hot girl and like right you know you your competition are these two like very fit yeah beautiful men and it's like it's like he keeps comparing himself to them and I'm like if you just saw if he just watched back like on like this entire you know like these episodes so far and like you know what we saw in him and like seeing him as a front runner like I wish like he could see that I wish he could see that it wasn't because of his looks that we put him as a front runner for Jen it was because like his personality matched Jen but it's like he he still feels like he's a fat kid inside yeah and it's like I mean those things are just going to like stay with you longer but it's like if you try he's I feel like he's overcompensating yeah I agree for you know for all of that but feel bad for the guy I really hope they don't get engaged because yeah he is the safe bet he like just from like what her brother told was was there her brother that was like talking to her at the preview was like you've always been with emotionally unavailable men and it's like I don't want her to choose Devon because she doesn't want to she wants to break that tradition of her being with emotionally unavailable men right and I don't want him to be you know just a tester because that's what it seems like this point I agree yeah like I yeah I don't know and maybe it's just like with age I'm realizing more and more things about like these kind of ideas around dating and like being in love but I'm like it's actually not that complicated it should not be that complicated if you love someone or if you don't now if you can't you know if you're trying to make something work that doesn't work that's complicated and I think everyone has experience with like trying to do that but like it's just not that complicated and if you have to try like it's either not the right person or not the right time because I do believe sometimes it's just not the right time but like recognizing that moment of like I shouldn't have to be trying to be attracted to this person or love this person and if I'm trying this hard like they're just not it um so yeah and then the last thing um they have a really like meaningful talk which we all kind of like covered because they just really reiterated what they talked about on the beach um and then they have the fantasy suite which like I'm not trying to be approved do whatever you want like good for you go get it girl or dude whoever's in the fantasy suite but I just thought like this is how I feel about it is obviously there have been other bachelorettes and bachelors in the past who have taken people to Fantasy Suites but they're at least selling it to us that they're kind of into this person and like they truly are like you know I'm torn between these three or four people where like it just felt so obvious to me that Jen isn't gonna pick Devon like it's and again I could be wrong I haven't seen tonight's episode I'm watching that in 45 minutes but like it he could be the one but to me I'm like I don't think you figure out someone's the one by like having an overnight and I get that you don't necessarily have to have sex like it could just to stay up and talk but they all woke up shirtless so they're trying to imply something happened um which again we don't know but I just thought that was kind of weird her quote about like Pete Davidson was like oh he's so much better and I was just like she was like giggling about it and I was like I'm kind of gross out right now well and like again I guess like it dep depends on your approach because like Hannah Brown for example who I think is like the perfect example for the girl who wants to take it seriously but also was like I'm gonna have fun that need your approach for the whole season and Hannah Brown like again at least made it appear that her top four like wow this is anyone's game out of these top four like you really didn't know who she was gonna pick so like her sleep and she admitted sleeping with them so I'm not making assumptions her sleeping with these four guys made sense for her storyline you're like get it girl love that for you we're like J I'm like you just told him you're trying to love him and then you're like let's go to the fantasy site and I have a similar perspective about Marcus and her which we'll get to judging Marcus um because again I think like sex is a piece of it but I'm like that's not going to fix all of it like even if you guys have the best sex and he's better than Pete Davidson in every way like you're telling me that's going to get you to the place you need to get to like you clearly aren't attracted to him when your clothes are on so I don't know how much would be with them off and that's not going to last forever when you're like old like you know right but um no like there's just something about Jen just like because you know like with Bachelor and Bachelor sometimes they don't take people to the FY that's happen too and I'm like I really didn't expect her to take all of them especially with the conversation she's had with Marcus yeah I just didn't expect her to even bring him there like yeah well and sometimes it's explicitly stated like I would like to take this time but not for what you're assuming like so that we can talk without cameras and I think I would have appreciated that more but it literally was like as if neither of those conversations had happened and then you know we got the sh of all them waking up without a shirt on and I'm like I don't know there's just no substance there Jen is a lot more boring than I thought again I'm over like the Jen hate train like I'm past all that but I'm just still like what are you doing girl like if this was my friend if this was you on show I'd be like oh my God okay ingred we're gonna talk when you get home which by the way ing's other friend that was not me this was a part of my plan eventually did nominate ingred for the bachelorette so we'll see if all like 20 to 40 of you who tune in every week our top video I think my first one had like 90ish views and then one of our top ones it might have been the Sheep date had 100 so if the 20 regular viewers and then like the 60 potential others that return sometimes nominate ingred maybe we so just putting that out there no I was cracking up because I asked uh it was my friend Jasmine that like um nominated me and I asked she asked me about my occupation and I was like well my job title is kind of long because like it was pretty long um but I was like you know what it'll be funny if you put fan girl on there no she should have been more specific can put um Bachelor Bachelor at podcast co-host I feel like that would have made you stand out like let's check it out and then be like wow it's a really small podcast too that could be and again I've in a podcast it's what we're calling a blogcast because we don't know how to do podcasts um so yeah if if you're listening and you want to see ingred on The Bachelorette go ahead and submit first you want to see me date Grant exactly she was for Marcus but very excited about Grant so Grant was like always been my top three that's true well and too you've you kind of shifted as the season went on and got more excited about Grant the Marcus too so like it shifted like how some of my alliances have but all right let's get back to the episode um okay so um overnights over I will say this this is commentary for all three dates I thought it was hysterical that like Jen had to do the Walk of Shame like they made her leave the hotel room yeah have we I feel like we've maybe seen that with the bachelor but like specifically for Marcus's especially because of how that conversation went she's like wearing a robe and slippers and starts walking home in the middle of Hawaii in the middle of like a forest me and Matt were like why are they like filming her walk of shame it's so and Marcus is like high above her like bye now like he's fully control that relationship same with Devin too just seeing him on the balcony that like Marcus's was more like yeah I got her right where I want was like I don't know what's gonna happen like pathetically watching um okay let's get let's get okay yeah back to we haven't talked about Jonathan yeah just so we can like skip to Marcus's date um let me just say this I kind of hinted at this last week I think Jonathan's on game I'm gonna call it right here okay Jonathan is winning it's Jonathan period you seem upset about that yeah I know because I I didn't want him with her why no I just feel like he's too good for her I felt like that um but maybe because they just don't like Jen okay that that date that they did have though that was a good date that was probably the most natural I've seen both of them like together that was a good date um I don't know I just probably just I'm so biased I just don't like Jen Pro that's probably why and I'm like he's a good guy and like you know I I saw how she was with the other guys and I'm like I don't want her to be like in decisive about him too like when she gets like scared you know because I feel like with Devon I feel like she was just scared that's why she didn't want to pursue anything more too and like I mean her issues with Marcus that's like a bit different but like I don't I don't want him to get hurt see I like feel like I have not gotten to the level of like the anger I was at with Jen with these men but I'm a little bit over all of them if I'm being honest like I don't necessar care about them either so like for Jonathan to me the reason they're ideal is they're just two hot dummies that think they're the funny they're not they're just hot and kind of have a sense of humor and like those are the people that belong together and like so yeah looking at them in a picture they belong together hearing their conversations they belong together knowing the depth of their emotional intelligence they belong with each other and like it's okay to just be hot and like have this much of a personality and have this much of a sense of like what's going on in the rest of the world and like just be surface level and that's why I think as long as they understand each other exactly they're going to go to the gym together they're going to like have kids and like you know do like 5Ks on Thanksgiving they're gonna like have this picture perfect life with these like mini traumas that they carry just so they have like some kind of chip on their shoulder and like good good for you guys you're metad for each other like you like how she's kind of proving with Deon could be with someone I think and maybe this is just really me overstepping and saying my opinion like none of you could be with anyone with any real emotional baggage and that's fine be happy be happy and love being hot and love being with each other is how I feel the two of them at this point though between the three of them um she definitely has a lot more um of like a she's a lot more compatible with Jonathan um with the other two it's literally just like you know it's so one-sided for like on her end and also on the guy's end it's very one-sided but with jonan it's just like they both just kind of just like they like each other at the same amount um there it is right like with um Devon Devon likes her so or loves her so much more than she can ever give him with Marcus she is like obsessed with him and he cannot give that to her and Jonathan's just like right in the middle right they're in the same perfectly in the middle um yeah no I actually really like their date like I the malasadas like the minute she said chocolate hopia I was just like girl you have taste in malasadas um but you know like it just looked they just looked really good together I agree phys I also say anytime she's around Jonathan it's clear how vain she is and not in a bad way I'm super Vain and like looks are important I get that but if you remember from the hometowns Jonathan's mom clearly says like I really love that Jen didn't bring up his looks every time we've seen him she's brought up his looks and like at the beginning of the stage she's like and again I was thinking the same thing she's like he looks good you look good today I'm like a big part of this attraction again I think it's genuine so I don't think that like she's doing anything wrong is that physical attraction to him I she doesn't compliment any of the men even Sam M like she compliments his appearance every single time she sees him um and I'm just like it's so obvious and sorry let's pause for one second just because I need to turn a light on okay are we I want to see what I want to meet him because I want to see what he looks like in person I feel like he's so much hotter in person like not that he's feel like he's so much hot person he's such a good-looking guy I think he'd be a great Bachelor if he doesn't end up with um Jen I think I he would be great on Paradise like hot humble down to earth easy simple guy he would be such a they're gonna fight over him yeah if him and J don't end up together he needs to be on Paradise period also did you know I told I told you this he's 511 yes yeah we were watching that Instagram post where he's like I'm a medium King I'm just on this season with like NBA players because Devin's like 62 Marcus is over six feet like so like Marcus is probably Marcus is probably like what like 59 510 which is not I know yeah I thinker thaner um I think Sam M was taller he's like yeah everyone's just like signing up for the NBA or something on this season like I'm not that short I just look like it next to these Spencer is really I literally thought he was like 5' seven 5'8 wait pause sorry this is really not pause the Vlog cast pause this train of thought so remember how I thought that Spencer was the creator of my cat photo of Charles that I showed you guys yes I went to Spencer's Instagram I don't follow him and I was looking for something and one of his most recent reels it is his company that I bought the photo from I'm like how weird so I just had this wait so he drew that I don't I think he's just the owner I think he has artist I don't know if he started as like he was the one drawing it but it's his company for sure so I was like oh my God he probably seen a we don't know this he's probably seen a picture of Charles of my cat yeah yeah so I'm like two degrees away from SP just putting it out there I have his company's artwork in my home um oh gosh I can't wait to watch Mel all yeah yeah and just so everyone I told ingred because we're having to film two nights in a row I like watching The Bachelorette live and it's on 8:00 my time in California so I'm like we got to be done by 7:55 today and we're on a good pace so I feel good about um okay so they do the food truck um and Jonathan's like oh I'm gonna have to cheat on my diet I told you he says he doesn't like sweets I'm like I don't trust a person that just says they don't like sweets period that's questionable but then she just like keeps getting him sweets and I did love that energy that would a th% be me uh and then they go to this waterfall uh and this is the second waterfall she goes to she goes to the waterfall Devon uh but she has a much steamier hotter make out with Jonathan at the waterfall um and that's that's kind of the first part of the date I don't know am I missing anything was there anything of substance said other than their diets and it's just so easy with them he doesn't have to make these big Declarations of they look like they were like an actual couple yeah yeah there like a couple I would find if I go to Hawaii yeah yeah um and then what did you say they look good like it wasn't as awkward as like you know when they had their first one and one like the first one one was definitely really awkward like they were trying so hard to make jokes and be but like but like with Jen like on that day it kind of gave me it kind of made me forget about Jeremy a little bit like it made me forget her um relationship with Jeremy because it was he was similar with Jonathan like how she was with Jeremy well that does make me a little that I agree that does make me a little fearful for tonight though um and I haven't seen any spoilers I've been avoiding them like the plague because obviously the central time zone in East Coast sees it before me so sometimes I get spoiled for even when I'm watching it live in California um but it makes me nervous for Jonathan that it seems to be going as well as Jeremy's because we thought there was something wrong with Jeremy until there was until she you know let him go and completely didn't give a [ __ ] that he was leaving she was just like okay bye that was fun see you I cried more about if she fumbles this one I really do not think she'll have an engagement or I I don't if she yeah if she's not with Jonathan I don't think she's engaged at this time I agree she may have been proposed to they may probably have gotten engaged and got like you know she wore the ring and everything but right now like real time I don't think she's engaged I just feel like my opinions flipped so much throughout this show because again I don't know what's genuine to her and so like I agree like if it's not Jonathan then who is it at this point because that's the only one that's glaringly obvious to me that like you said the feelings are equal um and again you shouldn't have to try to love somebody or try to get someone to love you regardless of if there's a time frame put on it um I have something to say about Jen but I'll say it when we talk about our date with Marcus because it's just something that's just it's just shows like I I have friends that are similar to this I myself was like this so you know I can like pinpoint and like see like oh she's still not ready um but we'll talk about more when we get to okay so then they do their like dinner date and again I don't think anything stood out they went to the fantasy suites I do have one piece of commentary that's not that important but again I think it shows the level of care for Devon versus the others um Devon's Hotel was like a HED sweet it sucked like and again I would be happy with that if someone was paying for it for me but I'm like what is this like just because it's big doesn't mean it's plush it was like the most basic Hyatt Hotel like just in the middle of the city in Hawaii and then like Marcus is in the middle of the jungle in a beautiful Treehouse that's beautifully decorated and then Jonathan also had this beautiful Modern Hotel suite I was like wow you're telling us without telling us you don't give a [ __ ] about Devon he had to stay at like the chain hotel and these two are like staying at the boutique like are you kidding me maybe that's why he started feeling like insecure and was like was like oh she's not gonna pick me because he's probably like why the [ __ ] am I here did someone just get like did someone use their like rewards points their card to like to like book me because she wasn't going to pick me anyways FaceTime Jonathan it was like let me see your place like I'm sure an iPad and he's like oh for sure bro and he's like really that's where you're s he's like yeah it's sick isn't it and then he called Marcus he's like let me see your he's like what the why am I staying at the Best West did you know me and M both like I turned to him I was like was Devon's Hotel just like a total piece of [ __ ] compared to Marcus's and Jonathan's or am I crazy he's like I was thinking that and like Matt doesn't have an eye for these things either so I would have been pissed oh yeah I I feel like that was the that was the tip of the iceberg for yeah that would been my final straw once I saw the other guy's room I hope Devon's rewatching it and like what the hell is this room it sucks that's not what I remembered on your FaceTime yeah not what I saw that looks so much bigger yeah literally oh my God so Jonathan's state is fine and perfect and they're all cuddled up in bed and again they seem very natural um it was cute when they like got their coffee or oh no okay this was another thing I observed that's not important I have never seen a bachelorette drink so much champagne during the fantasy suites they were all drinking champagne the night before and I believe I know it happened down at least two out of her three dates it happened on Marcus and Jonathan's they were drinking champagne in the morning and they didn't even try and hide it by like doing a mimosa they're just like we're just going to drink champagne straight yeah just champagne like poping bottles all day and night long on these dates which again not saying I would do the same but like I just feel like it's not in line with the bachelor Bachelorette like I don't know it doesn't I don't think it's in line with her personality too like you know like do you remember Caitlyn Caitlyn yeah yeah like I would expect her to be the one that's like I'm drinking all day all night because that's like her she has like a party girl Persona and like Jen yeah she kind of gives like fun party girl whatever but like at the same time kind of not like you're like a be party girl yeah I don't know weird because I was like I don't think we've seen this before and again I don't care necessarily but like I remember uh and I know you didn't last watch last season but Joey and I always forget who he ended up picking but they're together now like they were making breakfast and drinking coffee like and it was just weird to me that on multiple of her overnights the next morning they popped a bottle of champagne so I'm like maybe she does just drink champagne in the morning maybe that's her thing I don't know um maybe they were celebrating because they just had sex maybe maybe they're just really excited well and then like Devin she's like yeah still feel the same way better than Pete Davidson but I never NE necessarily like Pete Davidson anyway yeah I have I have something to ask you though like this is like the one thing that always runs to my mind and it it's not in particular to like you know a contestant or whatever but I just want to know how it goes just production wise how it goes when they start filming the day after like do they just walk in and they're just like oh you're in bed let me start filming you or do they like yo knock knock knock we're here we're gonna film you you have take it off like a th% that's what I think okay I have a dirty question to ask that's in the same line I don't know if this is pushing the boundaries if we're going to get in trouble with YouTube but like agreement of like for STD reasons but then also like pregnancy reasons and like the uh I didn't think about pregnancy I thought about studs right away yeah but like the show they don't want to like mess that up like I wonder if they have to sign something that's like we will wear condoms like spermicide condoms and like I will be on birth control they probably put her in birth control honestly yeah or they ask at least like are you on control we highly suggest you get on birth control and then it's probably the same thing for the men like here are condoms wear them please that's what that's so funny because like this show has been going on for so long and we haven't had a right pregnancy right I'm telling you they have to sign something that they're going to use birth control like the man's going to use birth control the woman is I don't know why I have a feeling they probably don't even let them have sex or was just like nope you can't do it um but you can pretend so it's like a fake overnight like do you think they like make out in the room and then they're like hey it's 11 o'clock we've been outside the door it's time to sleep in your separate rooms and we'll put you back together at 5:00 am it might be a fake oh no I don't think it's a fake overnight I think they do have to like actually like um stay together and like talk because they that's the only time they can talk without cameras but I have a feeling they have like um like a why would it's not really an NDA but it's more of like a contract like if you get pregnant we're not liable and you can't say anything or you get an abortion like that sort of thing like you know you can't air out all this drama you can't air this out because it's gonna look bad for the show um so they probably was like either bribed them with money or scared them with money it's like you can't do yeah and because production are typically evil but like I would just think the easier thing would be like hey you can only be The Bachelorette if you're on birth control hey you can only be the bachelor if you use like if you are using uh condom so yeah that just came to mind I'm like could you imagine that season and the followup but like The Bachelor would never let that be the reputation of the show no they won't they they like to make it seem like if you have sex you can't get pregnant yeah exactly well and it's all still like a mystery it's a fantasy suite and it's alluded to but no one brown was really the first one to be like we had sex in a wind meal and we didn't have sex one time I had sex four times in a windmill and for some reason they let that slide which I loved it icon yeah why like Hannah's like Persona though was like she's not the typical Bachelorette yeah like that was her character that she had to like play well and I feel like they kind of had to deal with it because they picked that personality and like you can't filter everything she says so they kind of just like ran with that as the concept versus like trying to get her to say what they wanted her to say and it worked because it came off really authentic um but yeah anyway okay let's move on to Marcus's date I got like 12 more minutes before I am watching the tell all and we have to or the men tell all so we have to get to this why don't I let you start with your thoughts on Marcus and then I'll jump in how did we feel about Marcus's date I the one thing I will say their dates were cool I don't think we need to talk about it I'm so jealous about the Man Ray thing I almost did that when I was in Kawaii and it just was one of the things that we like scheduled something else and now maybe want to do it more well first of all my biggest I on guy is if they can't swim and I absolutely love that he can swim but I don't wanna I don't want to think about all the biases or like the biased um things I have in my head about him so I'm just gonna skip over that but I did think he was really attractive on the date um I only have like one thought okay big thought about their relationship um I think the reason why um Marcus has stayed this [Music] long even like after hometowns where he clearly just wasn't vocalizing to her how much he's actually in like he's into her like he like it's not showing that he's really into her compared to like Jeremy you know and Jeremy was one that still like left my I really think um what's her name Jen sorry loves the Chase and loves chasing after people she knows she can't be with and it's very apparent when she picked Sam um as her first impression Rose yeah it's apparent with how she treats um Devon as someone who's like there's no chasing Devon anymore there's no chase and Deon where it's like he's giving it all to her and she's like I'm kind of not interested you know yeah and it's like with Jonathan there is a bit of trace and pullback like she doesn't like it's not as um I don't want to say clingy but it's not as like uh loud as like Devon's like attraction to her so there's still still some mystery in there yeah there's like that back and forth whereas with Marcus I feel like Marcus is the number one in her like head right now because it's like he's unavailable this is what I'm comfortable with and her brother or relative said that to her like you go after all these emotionally unavailable men when will you choose someone that's actually going to pick you and I really that's why I really don't think she's ready yet to be the I really don't think she should have been the bach R this season I mean it kind of it gave us like you know a good show I guess it got boring four episodes yeah it was a good show for first four because like you know that was funny but like now when it's getting serious it's like girl you need to kind of fix yourself first and know what you want and you know actually like give the good guys a chance not because you have to because but because you know that you're worth that you know that you're worth someone that's actually going to care for you and right now if she does go with the safest Choice it's not because she wants to it's not because she thinks that she deserves it it's because she's like this is the best this is decision I should make and you shouldn't make a decision just because you're expected to you know like you should make a decision because you know that's what's good for you and you know that's what you want right now she doesn't want it she doesn't why is Marcus still here why did Sam M stay for that long because she loves chasing after these guys and that gives her the thrill and I'm like oh it makes me upset because if I really was her friend I would be like like you know like I would not allow any of my friends to go through that um but yeah that was like my biggest thinging that I thought about them it just surprised me that she allowed she wanted to take into fantasy fantasy suweet after he said all that like it pisses it pissed me off yeah and I just like again what are you gonna resolve because again we've seen them have like to the same point as Devon like we've seen you have the same conversation two times just on this date so what more like again again let's assume they're not having sex what more can be said you only have as much of a relationship as the show has allowed you to so it's not like you can add so much more even if you stay up all night for that you know 10 hours and just talk like that's not going to be the thing that changes someone's Mind One Way or Another and I will say Marcus obviously there are things that have been said outside of the show that still haven't been proven true or false but that's like ingred said always in the back of our heads but there were two things on this episode that actually gave me the ick regard of the things that have been said about him behind scenes and I think it shows like a bigger part of how he might be as a boyfriend and this might be me being like picky picky but I just I always say I'm a very observant person and I look at everything I catch every look I catch what word someone chooses to use like I pay attention to the details when people are presenting themselves and um that I'm trying which we already talked about I was like you don't need to try that hard but one that was like smaller that I was like I I don't like this uh guy and what you just said so they're kissing on the boat on the way to the manor thing and they're kissing and Jen pulls away and he's like you always have to wear that stuff and starts rubbing his lips like talking about her like lip gloss and she was like oh well it's still look pretty for you or something like something cute and he was like H just so it ends up on me and then she's like well maybe you can wear lipstick too he's like I'm already wearing it and I was like that's like such a like micro like Hy stupid rude thing to say like this woman is so in love with you and making out with you and excited to see you and for and again it's teeny tiny I'm not saying she should have blown off the handles or made a big thing but like it's just the little things like that and that's the only thing I've caught so far but I'm like if he said like he said it confidently and like she responded like it wasn't a surprise so I'm like does he say little shitty things like this all the time and like we've just now seen it and like why did they choose to keep that in like why didn't they just take that out why did producers keep that in yeah no like I'm really glad you said that because I thought I was the only one who kind of like thought that was like a [ __ ] boy move because like when I saw that the first thing that did pop in my head I was like oh he's one of those guys literally yeah like you know those guys that like you meet like at a bar and you can just like tell that you know they're just so used to like girls like throwing themselves at him and like they're just so overconfident that it comes off as like you're such a douche you're such a [ __ ] boy I don't trust you that was the first time that um yeah I saw Marcus and this is not just because of his allegations right because I really tried really hard to you know get that out of my head and just like judge him for like how he is on the show tring to talk about him as the character as we explained last week we watch last week it's not that we're negating and saying if those things happened it's okay but we're just trying to make sure that we can just talk about this show as how they present themselves on the show because then it gets too complicated if we're bringing another thing so we're primarily just to clarify talking about Marcus's character on the show um but again if you want to hear more about some of the allegations in his personal life off the show look it up and you can redit they have it Twitter yeah um but yeah I was trying really hard to like not think about that but when he said that I was just like it kind of started to make sense and I was like oh yeah I was like you really are a [ __ ] boy aren't you like you are just H like it makes me think like how great of an actor he probably is um how manipul he actually can be and like it's sad to think that maybe he's used his story to advantage to get with to use and and use that to get with like a lot of people and I don't know if he's actually genuine with Jen because it's like he will say how much he's changed like she's kind of like opened his eyes in the commentary when he's interviewed about it but he's not strong enough to actually say it to her face like you don't you notice like what he says in the commentary is not exactly what he's saying like to her said that because yes a th% yeah like tell her why are you telling these producers why can't you tell her you know um like it just it doesn't match up it really doesn't match up and I'm like boy yeah I think he's starting to like I think I said this last week or maybe I was just talking to friends like I was like he's either the best actor or these things didn't happen because and again I I don't necessarily care if he's guilty and I don't say that what I mean is like I'm not invested in this person so if he's guilty he's guilty and he's fully judged for that and if he's not he's not but so all this to say like I was like he must be a great actor but I'm just not seeing that and like whatever and so now that like I saw this little Glimpse like I can just kind of make a stereotype and maybe that's wrong of me and then I'm like he has been on Instagram a lot like we follow him like is this just an opportunity like everyone else like and if he ends up with Jen cool and if not then he created this amazing opportunity for himself so yeah that's like was such a small thing I picked up on but like showed a lot of character to me because it just gives off the vibe of the guy who like wants their girlfriend to be hyper M or hyper feminine and like have their nails done have their makeup done have their hair done but then complains about like a woman doing feminine things like oh you stupid girls like it gave very much that um so yeah not much to say about Marcus they go to the fantasy suite we already talked about that and then Jen does the Walk of Shame goodbye and then the episode ends which we'll just leave it at this since we're kind of on the time crunch and also like it's it was really just a tease for tonight Devin talks to Jesse about how he's feeling about the whole situation with Jen so I am excited to watch the Mel all to see that unfold I'm kind of hoping he goes home because one of the things I was disappointed with mentel all I'm like Devon's not going to be there to get into the beef with everyone I want to see Devon there so I'm hoping he gets sent home if not for all the other reasons to like actually confront some of these guys listen hakee though hakee was fighting on the on those previews and I was like go go fight um did you see a glimpse of Thomas I want to bring this up because it's just so funny he's like a little boy he's like well I make more money than you oh yeah well talk about it yeah and we'll see tonight but I thought Thomas was saying that Sam n said that to him but I could be wrong no he was saying that to um uh I think he was saying it he was saying it to Sam n he's like I make more I thought he was I thought he was saying that Sam n said to him I make more but again we'll see tonight but yeah I'm excited and I'm excited I don't want to get too much into it but the comp confrontation between Sam and Jen because again not a Sam M fan can't stand this man if I met him on the street I would hate him but again I just feel likee feel like she didn't make him the villain at the right moment is now trying to be like on the right side of history of this and like she says something like and maybe he says something totally shitty but she's like you know I feel bad for any woman that's with you I'm like you were in love with this man up until he left like stop it you're on the wrong side of History realized he was the villain too late he does suck he should be called out but it doesn't feel right that he's being called out by her who was under his spell up until literally the last minute and was literally begging him to love her until he left and then he just left so I was just like let the boys do the work and just don't even talk to Sam M you're gonna ruin it for all of us like Samm was a dumb person but he wasn't as bad of a guy as she kind of made him out to be in that preview like he didn't do anything really bad to a point where he's like disrespecting women he's just a very physical man and he misread you he thought that you were also the same and he just doesn't know words so it's like I don't think he's like a really bad guy I he's just dumb yeah he's just dumb and like we are all for you hating this man a th% but you were to the party too late you still like wanted him to love you up until the second he left so you don't get to join this side now and act like you were this empowered woman in this relationship so that's just my take but maybe he says something totally terrible to her that like makes her like warns her to say that hopefully that's what the situation is in terms of like actually I don't hope he says something terrible to her but I'm just saying like that would at least make me be I kind of hope he says something terrible her I would at least if she said if he said something terrible and then that was her response like I I'd be like go Jen go Jen but if she just tries to pretend like she was on our side whole time about CM I'm gonna be like poser poser you're gonna date a guy just like him if you don't end up engaged on this show like this isn't the last I'm you're dating like stop it so yeah I can't wait you have two minutes by the way all of our questions will be answered I gotta go
