ninja and I'm here with that singing fool Will Ley what's happening will the chillest pitcher in baseball the artist formerly known as Aquaman sha manah threw a gam yesterday ninja he's uh he's been pretty solid for the Mets yesterday he had a double digit K game and just looked awesome and helped the Mets uh get a Big W ninja what was manah throwing yesterday to provide this gem for the team you know he's just dialed in right now he had 10 K and seven scoreless Innings with no walks and this is backto back games where Shawn maniah has given up no runs with 10ks or more only Tom Siver and Dwight gooded in New York Mets history have had back-to-back games with seven scoreless Innings and 10ks or more that's ridiculous so you have Tom sver Dwight Gooden and Shawn manah I feel like one of those three doesn't belong maybe manah has an awesome second act in him ninja I think he does like you know Shawn manah is quietly filthy I mean the dude every once in a while puts together gems his thing is repeatability and consistency but he can be spectacular and he doesn't throw particularly hard a lot of it has to do with his position on the Rubber and his arm angle he dominates with fast balls and sweepers yesterday and had this beautiful back door sweeper I love this you can see from a home plate view what a sweeper with 17 inches of break looks like you can see why you'd give up on this pitch and how it catches the zone and this is what he does so I did an overlay of a sinker and back door sweeper and you can see how that sweeper starts way outside that Sinker but yet ends up catching the plate and this is what happens hitters either give up on it or the movement just gets them because of that arm angle and the wicked break on his pitches he has a 45% whiff rate on his sweeper this year hitters are only hitting 147 against it the Mets blanked the card yesterday six to nothing he faced Andre Palante who had two k in four and two-thirds Innings giving up five runs and had this slider now to the rest of my whip around the league Logan Allen had two ks in five innings giv up two runs the big story of this game weren his pitches but the fact he took this comebacker
