BACK IN THE NEW YORK AREA, IT WAS A VERY PLEASANT WEEKEND. 83 DEGREES WAS OUR EYE YESTERDAY. WE MADE IT TO 85 TODAY. THAT WE HAVE A WARMING TREND AS WE GET INTO THE FINAL FULL WEEK OF METEOROLOGICAL SUMMER. 86 TOMORROW, 87 TUESDAY, UP TO 92 ON WEDNESDAY. THAT IS 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL FOR THE FINAL WEEK OF AUGUST. ELSEWHERE AROUND THE AREA, MOST AREAS WERE IN THE 80s TODAY. 86 BELMAR, 80s ACROSS MUCH OF LONG ISLAND AS WELL. HERE IS THE PLAN FOR TOMORROW. WE WILL START OFF WITH DRY CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION. IN THE AFTERNOON, WE CANNOT RULE OUT A COUPLE OF THUNDERSTORMS. ONE OR TWO COULD BE STRONG TO SEVERE WITH SOME STRONG, DAMAGING WINDS AND MAYBE SOME HAIL. THE PRIMARY CONCERN FOR THAT IS GOING TO BE ON THE FAR EAST SIDE OF LONG ISLAND AND UP INTO CONNECTICUT. WE WILL TALK ABOUT THAT COMING UP IN THE STORM THREAT FOR TOMORROW . WE HAVE A MARGINAL THREAT IN THE NEW YORK CITY AREA. YOU CAN SEE THE HIGHER THREAT IN CONNECTICUT OVER TOWARDS RHODE ISLAND. THAT IS WHERE THE CONCERN IS IN TERMS THE HAIL OR THE WIND. LET'S BREAK THIS DOWN HOUR BY HOUR. THIS IS 7:00 A.M. TOMORROW. NOTICE MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES ACROSS THE TRI-STATE REGION. AS WE ADVANCED THE CLOCK INTO THE AFTERNOON, WE ARE STILL MOSTLY DRY AT NOON WE COULD HAVE A COUPLE OF SHOWERS COME THROUGH THE AREA AT 2:00, 3:00 P.M. CLOSER TO RHODE ISLAND, THAT IS WHERE WE ANTICIPATE THE BETTER CHANCE FOR SEVERE WEATHER. TOMORROW EVENING, A FEW THUNDERSTORMS COULD ROLL THROUGH THE AREA. THE LIKELIHOOD OF SEVERE WEATHER IS LOW, NOT ZERO. AS THE SUN SETS TOMORROW EVENING, THE STORM CHANCE WILL GO AWAY. TUESDAY LOOKS TO BE DRY, SUNNY, AND UP INTO THE UPPER 80s . GOING INTO WEDNESDAY, THAT IS PROBABLY GOING TO BE OUR BEST CHANCE FOR RAIN THIS WEEK , A 40%, MAYBE 50% CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS AROUND THE AREA. WE DON'T WANT TO SEE ANY KIND OF HEAVY RAIN THREAT CONSIDERING WITH FOLKS IN CONNECTICUT ARE STILL CLEANING UP FROM FROM LAST WEEKEND. THERE IS THAT MARGINAL THREAT ON WEDNESDAY FOR A FEW THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING ENOUGH RAIN TO CAUSE A FLOODING THREAT. FIRST ALERT SEVEN-DAY FORECAST, 86 TOMORROW WITH A 30% CHANCE FOR AN AFTERNOON OR EVENING THUNDERSTORM. TUESDAY IS SUNNY AND MUGGY, I TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO UPPER 80s. THE WARMEST DAY OF THE WEEK WILL BE WEDNESDAY, 92 DEGREES, JESSICA, BEFORE DROP DOWN TO 80 OR SO AS A COLD FRONT COMES IN THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK.
