all right time now for the favorite part of the day the weather meteorologist Vanessa Murdoch is here now with our first alert forecast it is so nice outside is it going to stay that way yes it will for the most part tomorrow it's going to get a little more warm a little bit more humid but still I think a spectacular wrap to the weekend we truly can't complain considering so much has uh been quite unpleasant that we've been through right a week ago so let's go ahead and break it down if you don't like the mention of higher Heat and humidity maybe this will help you cool down the countdown to fall 8 days away to meteorological start to Fall by the way 29 days until astronomical start to fall that happens on September the 22nd the autumnal equinox as we look live outside right now it is Picture Perfect out there sky is clear temperatures will be cool and crisp tonight and then we begin our warming Trend tomorrow or rather continue the warming Trend humidity will build as well and then we do have a few rain ances to discuss through the work week now as regard to temperature 1 and 1 12° below average for the month so far but we're going to change that moving forward because by Wednesday your high temperature will be at 90° here's the climb between now and then it was 83 today tomorrow we're up to 85 Monday 86 Tuesday 87 all the while humidity levels really start to spike tomorrow it's still comfortable but we are starting to flirt with sticky I'll say Monday Tuesday Wednesday it's officially humid out there with the most intense levels of moisture in the atmosphere on Wednesday and that's also when our high temperature spikes to 90 it will feel like 95 on Wednesday with a chance for storms chance for storms Monday as well then tomorrow just a 10% chance of a shower best bet will be north and west of the city but certainly they could reach down into the city itself but 10% nothing to change your plans for tonight skies are mostly clear as temperatures fall into the 60s in and around the cities the 50s for areas outside of the city especially up the mountains it will be down to the mid-50s then tomorrow we're going to start off with mostly sunny skies by afternoon it's partly sunny for us and here you see that slim chance for a stray shower maybe a thunderstorm Monday we're going to start to notice a better bet for showers and storms more clouds and play early Monday then by Monday afternoon about a 40% chance of showers and storms sparking tonight no worries about that 68 will be the low in the city down to 60 in Woodburry 64 in ice up 62 in Trenton and 55 in monacello tomorrow another beautiful day overall again a little bit warmer maybe a little more sticky and a slim chance for a shower it's a high of 85 in the Park 83 for Bridgeport tomorrow 80 in the Hamptons 86 in Toms River and 84 tomorrow in Andover if you're going to hit the beach moderate risk of rip currents on those south facing beaches something to note to Upper 70s there now the highs down Jersey Shore will be in the upper 70s to low 80s and it's a low risk of rip current some great news there wave heights 1 to 2 feet and we're looking at open ocean temperatur still in the low to mid 7s another thing I'd like to highlight happening tomorrow is our popup Newsroom the Brighton Jubilee will be happening from Sunday tomorrow from 10: until 6:00 p.m. and what's happening there from Brighton Beach Avenue between 12th and 13th you can meet some of your local news personalities so that is happening tomorrow 82 degrees Skies will be pretty bright with more clouds later on it is the bright and Jubilee popup Newsroom all right let's check out your extended forecast now Monday 86° better chance for showers and storms in the afternoon and evening for Tuesday is 87 again more humid but the threat for storms is minimized Tuesday Wednesday 90° feels more like 95 storms are very likely through the afternoon and evening and then Thursday and Friday we're going to bring down the temperatures we're going to bring down the humidity levels just enough to make it feel more comfortable and we're keeping the forecast dry before Saturday when that chance for showers returns in the 80s I haven't seen that in a while it's like '90s or like storms it's like great weather yeah so this past week Beyond the flooding rain of su into the storms you know the rest of the week was truly phenomenal yes and now we're starting to see summer creep back in because at moment it felt like full on fall this week yeah yeah it it totally did even especially in the evening when you like that wake up and you need a little sweater in the morning pretty good yes yes all right thank you
