Arendsee Altmark - Lindow Gudelacksee Brandenburg - unsere Reise durch Deutschland!

We are on the way to a meeting north of Berlin, but want to make a stopover at Lake Arendsee. This is in the Altmark, in the north of Saxony-Anhalt. I would like to talk about both in this video. Welcome to it. Our friends Lisa and Horst are there. They drive in front of us. We will now go to Arendsee first. We will stay there for two nights and then move on. Towards Berlin, north of Berlin. There is a lake there and we will drive to a campsite there. We chose Arendsee because it fits well as a stop on our tour. And on the other hand, you can easily cycle around the lake here. And there are some geocaches here too. We are now on the way to the Arendsee campsite. There is another campsite here, but we chose this one. We immediately reached the campsite or the access road here. The place is in a pine forest. You can see that so far. Now we have to see what it looks like there and whether we can even get a place there. It's June 18th and it's a Tuesday. Somehow it was clear to us from the start that it would be difficult to get onto the site with our vehicles because there are so many trees. And then things usually get tight. But we didn't want to throw in the towel straight away, so we asked reception what options we had to visit the place. But then we were told that we would probably have difficulty with our vehicles and gave us a tip. A little further there would be a square, a parking lot, a similar parking space. We could stand there. That's what we ended up doing. Yes, this is what it looks like here, this is the entrance to this parking lot. Everything looks a bit messy here. But we finally stood there and then we noticed that there was a parking meter at the entrance and there were also big signs saying that you have to pay here. This place costs €15 in 24 hours without everything. There is no drainage or supply here, nor is there electricity here. But there are several signs indicating how much the space here costs, depending on the time. And of course if you don't pay, that means if you violate it, you'll get a fine of €40. Here at the parking machine you can read everything about how it works here. The vehicle's license plate is scanned upon entry and also upon exit. And if you haven't paid, you'll get the corresponding penalty. You can see small buildings right next door. I think that's also part of the campsite. That was our or his luck. Horst had no more fresh water and so we spoke to someone there and a resident of a little house here. He was so nice and then gave us and Horst fresh water. So Horst has filled his tank and can then stand here again. From this parking lot to the lake it is maybe 200 meters, maybe a little more. I don't know exactly, but you can get to the lake pretty quickly. A view from above into the yellow hatched field. There is the parking lot and you can go straight over there, if you go on the left side, you will see the lake. The campsite is located directly on the lake. The Arendsee has a water area of around five square kilometers, at its deepest point it is 50 meters deep and the average depth is 29 meters. The whole region is quite flat here. It is also suitable for cycling and that is what we did here in this case. We then head towards the lake and then a cycle path almost always leads along the lake. On our bike tour we passed a fisherman. There are fish sandwiches to eat here. You can also buy smoked fish here. We did that. Among other things, we bought eel and also smoked trout. Cycling around Lake Arendsee is about ten kilometers. But you can't just ride a bike, you can also swim here. The Arendsee has good water quality. Back to the pitch or parking lot. The place is quite quiet here, even at night. You don't hear anything. You didn't see any other campers here either. Or we didn't see any other campers here, but in principle we felt reasonably comfortable here. Today there is gourmet bratwurst from the grill and Horst is making fried potatoes. But only a small amount. Nothing special. Nothing special either. With bacon. Yes, but a bit too much fat I think. They swim. We'll need a lot of schnapps for digestion afterwards . For a place like this, where we are now, we have to pay €15. And what do we have here? Not. Just because of geocaching. The healthy. Don't put the sausage on the ground, please. The European Football Championship is going on at this time and so we watched a bit of football and then ended the evening comfortably. The next morning we continued. We then started together and our next destination is Lindow. This is in Brandenburg, north of Berlin. There is also a lake there and there is a campsite called Weißer Sand. It has around 4,500 inhabitants, so it is a small town and is not far from the lake. The lake is called Gudelacksee. To get to the campsite we have to drive through town. That's no problem. Later the road becomes a little narrower. So for very large mobiles it becomes a little more difficult there. And then? One of our group organized this meeting here. There are ten of us in total and we have all known each other for more than ten years. We have now reached the campsite. We can see the building there on the right. The information and reception is located there. Then the sanitary building registration comes back in. The reception is now unmanned at lunchtime, but we know where we have to go. Our friends have organized everything here and so now we drive into this driveway and then across the parking lot and then the actual campsite comes back in. Since we naturally like to stand together as a group, we now have a meadow and park here and have divided the area. And here we have to arrange ourselves a bit so that everyone finds their place. It's a campsite. The price is accordingly. You pay 35 to 40 euros per night, depending on where you are. The place is right on the lake. So you also have the opportunity to go swimming. You can see it here too. Then you can also rent boats here or even come with a boat. Of course, there are also all the water sports options here for those who come here with children. There is such a small beach here, so there are also swimming opportunities for children. You can also park your motorhome with smaller motorhomes directly on the lake. Of course you can also come here with a caravan or tent. This is the sanitary building. During our stay it was always clean and tidy. On the other side of the sanitary building, on the access road there is the drainage and supply. Here you will find a lid in the ground. You can open it and empty your water or tank here. When our group is complete, we will set up a tent together. We bought this tent a few years ago. We like to use that. It could rain sometimes, right? Even when the sun is shining very strongly, it is pleasant to sit somewhat sheltered. The tent is 4 by 8 meters, so we have space for everyone in there and, first and foremost, our meeting here is a get-together with the exchange of past trips and previous trips. But we also have a small program. So one day we go to the restaurant to eat, then one day we have a barbecue and then we also visit a sight. Can you tell me that? Our meetings took place not only in Germany, but also in other countries. In the Czech Republic, Croatia, Switzerland and other countries. The first meeting, if I remember correctly, took place in 2008. A draft beer with tap facility is always organized, a freshly tapped beer always tastes good. The next day. We have planned a trip to Rheinsberg. It's only 18 kilometers away from there. We want to use the bus and then drive together to Rheinsberg. We use a public bus. So everyone can go back whenever they want. The town of Rheinsberg is a small town with 8,000 inhabitants, known, among other things, for Rheinsberg Castle. You can also visit the castle and there are also guided tours of the castle and we took part in them. The culture makes you hungry and so after the tour we headed towards the lake. The whole area belongs to the Mecklenburg Lake District and so there is a lot of water everywhere. And where there is water, there is also fish. And so there is a stand. Here you can buy smoked fish or a fish sandwich. We decided on a fish sandwich. Then we went through the city again before taking the bus back to the parking space or campsite. Now a note about the campsite. You can rent a caravan here or you can rent a holiday apartment. You can also rent boats, rent motorboats, rent stand up paddles here. So a lot is offered here. We also had a nice end to the last evening. Thanks to the two who organized it here. These are Carola and Herbert. And in the middle we see the space operator. Also to him: Many thanks for his efforts. The individual departure was on Sunday. Some stayed, others continued on like us. Things continue for us here in Germany. We will go to a few more places in Germany. Of course I will report on this in the next videos. I would like to say thank you again for watching and bye bye until next time.
