Jayden Daniels is Doing EXACTLY What The NFL Feared.. | Washington Commanders

all right man I'm just going to go ahead and jump right into it obviously the preseason has started we've got to see two weeks of it now and I'd love to watch Jaden Daniels and what he's been able to do in these past two weeks because he's really played really good football and I love how Cliff kingsberry is calling the offense now obviously it's just the preseason so the offense isn't fully opened up but from what we've seen it looks like he's going to try to get Jaden Daniels to get the ball out of his hands fast and he's also going to use jayen Daniels legs and some pretty creative ways that is exactly how you put a guy like Jaden Daniels in a great position to succeed and it's going to make him pretty dangerous in the NFL I think so I wanted to jump into his first two games and see what he was able to do well so without further Ado let's go ahead and jump right into it first play here it's currently empty I love this from Jayden Daniels all the all the commanders are running is verticals with this guy on like a deepest Crosser so it's vertical here go route go route and then seam here and Jaden danels is really just looking if it's zone or man and then he's taking his best matchup depending on what they're in now what you're going to see happen right here is at the snap of the ball this safety is going to drift back to the middle of the field jayen Daniels is going to see that in his peripheral vision and when he sees this safety drift he's going to keep his eyes to this side of the field to keep him in the middle or to keep him a little bit to the left so he allows his receiver on the outside out here to run the go so we can throw that over there without safety help watch him do it right here he's going to see that safety start drifting snaps the ball boom immediately this safety drifting back and he sees this safety flat footing here and that means he has one-on-one coverage over here if he can just keep this safety out of the way that's exactly what he does he takes his drop hitches ball and you can't put this ball any more perfect right on the money right over the shoulder in the Bread Basket huge huge chunk watch his footwork right here he threw this ball great in college throughout his entire career and he's already shown it off in the NFL has a little bit of pressure Fades away and still is able to put a perfect ball for a huge huge gain amazing job watch the pressure he gets off the right side right here he's going to get it he's going to fill it but he's still going to be able to throw that football fading away and it's going to be right in the Bread Basket can't do it much better than that right there next play here the commanders are going to love running this all year long because it's going to be free yardage every time all they're running is Zone Reed out of pistol so it's right here if Jaden Daniel if this end right here squeezes down jayen Daniels pulls it if he stays up field which that's what he should do he gives it but what you're going to see happen right here is that end is a little bit stupid and he squeezes watch him squeeze if going to squeeze on the running back you're going to give Jaden Daniels a lot of open field to run and this is a walk-in touchdown and I think we're going to see a lot of this because of how good jayen Daniels is with his legs touchdown watch how easy the read is right here he squeez down EXT squeezes down extremely hard it's an easy pull Jaden Daniels go run touchdown commanders next play here this is an amazing amazing job by Jaden Daniels the Dolphins have guys walked up into both a gaps they're trying to give a pressure look and they're actually going to end up sending it after the snap but Jaden danels does not panic he has a stop up here to this receiver it's currently like third and two so you got to get to the sticks if you want this first down and watch what Jaden Daniels does here he sees the pressure come in doesn't panic is releasing the football right now you can see the football his back in his hand about to release it and look at the receiver he's still fighting through contact trying to turn around to get back to Jaden Daniels if Jaden Daniels Waits any longer on this this ball gets picked off but because he throws it with so much anticipation it's there right when the guy turned around the guy makes a great catch and the commanders are able to move the chains watch it from this angle right here watch him stand in there confidently get the ball out quick ball right on the dude's chest first down commanders that's really high level stuff next play here really similar we're getting a little play action and then we're going to have Terry mclen come out and run a stop as well it's tight coverage so you're going to have to throw it with great anticipation and jayen Daniels is able to do it once again he puts it on his outside shoulder away from the DB watch the throw right here boom hitch ball the ball is already out of his hands it is on its way to Terry mclen and Terry mclen has not even got out of his break yet I mean this is high level stuff for a rookie quarterback Annie puts it on his outside shoulder to keep it away from this DB who's extremely tight on Terry and that allows for it to be a completion if he doesn't put that on the outside and he doesn't throw the anticipation that ball is either broken up or it's picked off watch it from this angle right here you're going to see him take his three-step drop after the play action hitch ball on time with great anticipation and great ball placement I mean just beautiful stuff next play here I mean the same thing again if they're not going to stop it keep running it you just got to stop up top one-on-one this is obviously man coverage look at how the corner is looking down Terry mclen Jaden Daniels knows that he knows Terry mclen is going to win one-on one and Terry does a great job here getting a ton of Separation on a stop Jaden Daniels the ball's already out right as he's getting out of his break and when you throw the anticipation like this it allows your guys to get yardage after the catch because they have time to see what's in front of them and have time to make people Miss makes that guy Miss and then goes and turns it into a ton of yardage now it wasn't just because he got it out early though look where the ball placement is once again right here look where he puts his football he takes him to the outside away from the DB DBS are taught to trigger inside when a receiver is catching the ball so if they're taught to trigger inside we want to throw the ball to the outside so they can turn out and that works out perfectly for the commanders right here I mean on third down once again you get a big ch for a first down can't beat it next play here all we got is a little spot concept so up top we have hitch here Johan Dawson's coming across hitch here and then this receiver just has an out and Jaden DS is reading it one to the out two to three if he picks this top side if he picks the bottom side it's literally just hitch with a flat he's going to pick the top side though to the three receiver side and you can kind of tell this corner is giving a lot of Leverage so unless this linebacker shoots out there underneath the out you're going to have that out route immediately Jaden Daniels knows that and you're going to see him right here that linebacker is just drifting back more than he is out so he knows all he has to do is put this football out here he has a ton of Leverage on this corner get the ball out quick and quick game and get yourself five yards to make it a third and manageable this is all Cliff kingsburry wants he wants jayen Daniels getting the ball out of his hands fast he doesn't want him holding on to it too long and jayen Daniels is doing a great job of doing that which has led to a really good operated offense next play here second and four we're getting the Zone read action again so the running back is coming across here Jaden Daniels if he wants to pull it is running out here he's just reading this guy right here squeeze you pull stays out give give give but watch what the end does right here I've said it multiple times if you're playing Jaden Daniels you probably don't want to squeeze because this can happen right here he runs so fluidly and he's so fast and quick in the open field he's going to make you miss and he's going to be able to get a lot of yardage that's exactly what he does right here gets almost 10 yards on a simple read option watch it right here e pull he squeezes extremely hard and allows Jaden Daniel to go get some yards it's going to be super dangerous in the regular season it's going to be really hard to stop first down next play here this is just a great play call by the Washington commanders I absolutely love this we have a seam right here by the tight end then we have a dig behind it and all Jane danels is doing is giving a play fake here and the running back's coming out on a flat he's literally just reading it one to two to three what I love about this is you're going to pull this tackle over here to make it look like it's a run play and jayen danels is really going to get into that play fake to try to get these backers to step up so you can throw this seam or so you can throw the Dig coming behind it you're going to see it opens up pretty easy right here because of this good play fake so you get the guard pulling not the tackle the guard I meant he's pulling to come get this end this guy's squeezing down to block here and they're just in normal pass protection they just made it look like a run and that gets these linebacker stepping up really really hard and you're going to see it right here middle of the field wide open and because they're in cover two and those linebackers stepped up Jaden D puts it on him and they're able to move the chains once again and get a first down watch it right here it's really really simple get those linebackers to step up throw it right over their head step up ball great stuff maybe put it on him a little bit better but we we'll take the completion first down so overall Jaden D has looked really really good in his first two preseason games I absolutely love what I'm seeing right now and even though a lot of people hated on him coming into this season I really do think he has a chance to prove a lot of those guys wrong with which could make this Commander team a lot better than you think
