10 Date Night Restaurant's | Coeur d' Alene Idaho | Steak, Sushi, Italian, and much more!

Intro um you guys today we are back to talk about we have a new series that we're putting together called the restaurant Series yeah and very excited very exciting it's something that we've wanted to share we finally just pulled our stuff together and said let's go ahead and put the series together so this is part one of the restaurant series part one and we're starting it off we're kicking it off with date night date night yes foreign [Music] so we're gonna get into this but before we get into it as always like subscribe comment turn on your notifications because you don't want to miss any of you want more information about because again we have all the knowledge yes we've got it yes we're ready to share exactly so let's get into this we've got 10 recommendations for date night you're in your boo thing yes we're going out on the town here in the North Idaho area and more specifically the Coeur d'Alene area yeah um but let's kick it off with number one and these are in no particular order it's just this is the first recommendation yes and it's Beverly's Beverly's ( Coeur d'Alene Resort ) Beverly's we gotta go yes what's your favorite thing about Beverly's um I mean the view you really can't beat the view so Beverly's in a nutshell is kind of our Premiere like fine dining um restaurant so it's located in the Quarterlane Resort it's on the seventh floor um and I would say like 75 of that building is a window so the way they've kind of um constructed and laid out on the tables everything faces the window and it looks right out over the lake over the marina area it's situated kind of like on the corner of the of seventh of the seventh floor so you get like this different kind of um aerial view I guess of the lake that you wouldn't get on you know like at Dockside on like the dock level right um so just kind of in general the view is like it's stunning it's breathtaking you know when people come in from out of town even it's like where should we eat for like our nicer dinner and it's always Beverly's because you can't beat the view yeah and their food is delicious they've got a really good it's kind of steak and seafood mainly driven um they do like this gorgeous Seafood Tower with like crab legs and scallops and oysters and prawns right um they have they don't have a tartar they have a separate item in the menu yeah it's a Carpaccio you're close um it's better because it's not like minced yes yeah but um Beef Carpaccio is probably a number one recommendation that I because I'm a self-proclaimed foodie I was in the service industry for like 15 years um and so it's like I'm really excited about restaurant series because I love talking about food I love you know like Ambiance you know what I mean so um whenever anyone's like what should I get I have like a recommendation for every restaurant she's like how much time do you have I'm like what do you want to talk about because I used to joke that I should start an app that's like Sammy says like and like where to go and what to eat because I miss our restaurant series is Sammy says yeah I've got a good little palette yes but Carpaccio delicious their food is really good the wine selection the wine selection is amazing they have this huge wine cellar um Sam who's been at the at the restaurant for like 25 years is their main sommelier he's super knowledgeable really really cool guy he'll like hang out at your table and like just chat wine with you for a long time um super it's just their wine their list is um and pretty incredible and you can do like tours of The Wine Cellar in the day um if you are kind of like a wine person it's like a neat little extra event you can kind of do I guess yeah um they have like this cool it's called the um the owner's Suite yes essentially it's like this round table at the corner of the the restaurant I guess um but it's a private room so it's it seats about five comfortably anything more than five people gets pretty tight um but perfect for a date but yeah like I you know Luke's birthday I took him for dinner and we sat in owners and it was just like it's private again there's a door so it's like more intimate the view is insane it's so gorgeous um and you just kind of feel like you're in this separate little little Nook you have privacy yeah um so you know if you're trying to have like more conversation Asian less like atmosphere that's kind of a cool yeah little option and you can always request it it's not like a um a guaranteed um table that you can reserve but you can always when you make your reservations like hey we would love to sit in owners if it's available yeah so Insider tip exactly and to pre-funk for dinner they've got an attached Lakeview Lounge right and it is this kind of cool Swanky exactly what I was going to say dark um uh Lounge they've got tons I mean you can eat in there too yeah for date night you know go in there have a drink get ready for your dinner then we'll get taken to your table or your owner's lounge or the owner's room um but it's just a really cool restaurant yeah yeah perfect for date nights absolutely yes can't beat the view no definitely yes so next one on the list is radicchi's yeah and they're up in Hayden uh I had to get a cup a Hayden one in Radicci Italian Bistro there we are a little biased I think to downtown you and I yeah yeah if you could you couldn't tell um but radicis and Hayden is um they've been around for a few years but their food is so good so good and it's definitely like Italian leaning yeah absolutely they have I think a steak dish but yeah but primarily but primarily Italian leaning um dishes um but it's just so so delicious they have outdoor seating when the weather's nice um but it's got this kind of nice quiet little date night Ambiance lights yeah yeah exactly and so if you're in the Hayden area and you're looking for something kind of close to where you're at radicis would definitely be our recommendation for date night dinner and wine yeah they've got good wine lots of wine selection um uh they've got that kind of back area um that's like wine cellarish like craft beer unique type stuff that you can find so highly recommend radicis if you're in Hayden yeah yes coming back downtown surprise we've got Tony's on there so um Tony's Tony's On The Lake on the lake is um again honestly for a lake town we don't really have a ton of restaurants that are situated like on the water um I think it's hard in the winter but that's another conversation yeah um but Tony's again we're kind of sticking with the Italian theme for the moment um they do have obviously other like steak dishes and things but again primarily pastas I think they hand make all of their their pasta um their gnocchi is amazing yes um again really good wine list um the Somalia that was there for years who I think created the the wine list is very talented um and again the view they have this whole patio setting in the summertime where you can sit outside with like a string lights bigger too and they yeah they had kind of expanded on that um and the inside is really cool it's an older building um it fun fact it used to be a brothel I did not know that yes and in the basement there's bedroom stuff for the girls but yeah there it used to be an old brothel you have to pay extra for that I know that's dessert yes um but the the inside is pretty cool the back wall is a mirror so it feels a lot bigger than it is but it's always so very intimate I know I've like after a couple glasses of wine you're like where's my table no but it's kind of like it was really far back yeah it's kind of this like back you know bounce back with like the lighting and it just kind of makes it feel a little bit more spacious even though it is like a smaller space it's like still intimate and cozy but I don't know it's like an interesting illusion I've always liked that about Tony's I like kind of cool yeah um but it's neat you can dot you can boat up in the summer there's a dog like a day use dock um that you can you know park your boat walk up it is across the street um so you know as always liability be careful um look both ways when you're Crossing that street because it is almost on like a little bit of a turn yeah um but on Quarter Lane Lake Drive so it's not like people are going super fast but still as always be safe um but the view is still really cool the patio again is really nice um definitely all of these really restaurants that we're gonna talk about today definitely make reservations but especially with Tony's um because it isn't giant like it's a smaller limited yeah limited seating for sure um so always recommend getting reservations yes um but yeah yeah Tony's on the lake so the next one we're jumping into and this is kind of the final like Italian um recommendation is Angelo's and this little restaurant in Midtown is kind of Angelo's Restaurante like in a little corner almost like a strip mall looking building it's kind of hidden yeah if you weren't looking for it you would drive past yeah for years and never know that it existed right but people love Angelos their food's really good their food is delicious and they're even smaller I think they're kind of one of the smallest it's pretty small spots on this list so again reservations it's super like dimly lit the Ambiance is very date night special occasion like romantic um all like the the chef Angelo himself is is just widely renowned um for his menu items and just the deliciousness rich food like just so yummy so it's it's definitely like one that unless it's on your radar you probably aren't it's not top of mind like Beverly's will be yeah you know it's not as like in your face essentially yes yeah yeah but it's so cute it's kind of hidden and it feels kind of like a secret yeah but yeah delicious food again food and wine pairings are very big here in North Idaho so you will find um not probably not the most extensive wine collection like Beverly yeah um or radicchi but they're definitely they've got these pairings down to a tea so yeah quality over quantity for sure at Angelo's yeah yeah yes all right also kind of in Midtown um Satay I love Satay I love all of these honestly but again Satay Bistro that dark um everything's like pretty dark candle lit um they do a lot of like Tapas Styles um like small plate appease which is one of my favorite ways to dine because I want to eat everything yeah so I want like a bite of everything yes um so they do their appetizer menu is like unmatched they have really good appease um again great wine list they do they don't have their liquor license I don't they do they do now okay they used to not because they were doing full bars okay scratch that we got a full bar um you want to start with a little martini and go into wine excellent you can do it um also they're bread I it's the best just a moment we need moment of silence for their bread it's got this buttery garlicky Dill like Dill garlic like butter that they like hot right and then it's like this Loaf and they just soak this loaf of bread in this like drawn garlic butter Dill it's to the point where they'll be like oh do you want more bread and I have to like physically say to myself no because otherwise I won't eat any food it's so good like we go there for the bread sometimes yeah yes amazing it's called some of some people I know call it crack yeah very highly more bread yes yes but Satay also has like seafood some steaks yeah um some pasta dishes yeah I was like a little bit of everything it's probably I would say kind of similar to Tony's in a way um but yeah and they've got the basement yeah I was just gonna say that they have this little wine room with like this cool little narrow spiral staircase like almost right when you walk in um but then this little private um like table essentially it's like a little Cellar yeah I'm just one table down there which is kind of cool for like bigger um or like a celebration dinner uh you could probably see like 12. yeah yeah ish 10 to 12 10 to 12. so it's not like um like an event space by any means but it's just this kind of occasion exactly like intimate um it just it feels kind of cool you're like down there yeah exactly um so yeah we've done a couple a couple events down there and it's pretty fun yes yeah yes so next on the list is again one of those like really off the beaten path things so candle in the Candle In The Woods woods I have heard about you Ben yes I've heard about candle in the woods for forever since they were in Hayden they're actually an Athol so this is going to be the farthest one but it is well worth the travel absolutely and any weight um they only serve a certain amount of people at a time so you know you've you're gonna max out we've had a party there before um and it's like 10 course meal yeah I was gonna say I don't even feel like it's you can categorize it as a restaurant like this is a dining experience yes absolutely the chef is like insane yes like so talented he kind of reminds me of Gordon Ramsay yeah like all of the dishes are very eclectic and like interesting and he uses a lot of like dry ice and smoke and Infused yep what not there's one with like a salt yes the salt pad or whatever yeah yep it's amazing it's everything and it's in it because it's so many courses you've got a wine pairing for each um and then they come in some of the smaller smaller serving sizes so that you can get through that many but it is definitely an experience yeah so um you can go in a group but for date night you can absolutely you know you have to call ahead obviously make sure that they have enough room for two people um but or four people if you're double dating or something like that but um it's definitely a special special experience and while you're there waiting between courses you can go out to like the patio outside where there's a fire pit they've got kind of a game room upstairs with pool and darts and stuff like that because obviously between courses they're preparing something completely different for them right well and then they're not just like putting course after course after course in front of you you kind of get a little bit of time in between it you know a handful of courses to like digest and like get ready for round three you know what I mean um and it's kind of cool because it's almost like family style CD and it's like these longer tables yeah so you're not you know you get to kind of experience that with other I don't know I enjoy stuff like that being able to like talk to other people especially at an experience like that where there is so much to talk about because it's like it's really it's a really special place absolutely it's it's pretty it's pretty freaking amazing yeah so highly recommend putting that on your at least a date night bucket list I mean it is definitely um the priciest yes um place that we've curated here um but again like definitely worth it they do a limo service too yeah um that you can like reserve because again if you're having 10 courses and it's wine paired and then there's like a cocktail and like while you're waiting it's definitely like a decent amount of alcohol and you're kind of out there right so if you really want to like emerge yourself fully in this experience and like do the pairings you know obviously the food is like amazing with without the wine but if you really want to like go all in I would suggest looking into like the the limo that they do because it I mean again it is out there it's not like right in town for like cab wise so someone will probably have to drive unless you want to drop the money on the Uber but um it's just the whole thing is super cool yes and the owners are like there with you the whole time it's like explaining everything yeah so then they talk about the wine they talk about the food they talk about the preparation it's almost like a like a class in some sort where you just like it's just really cool it's a very unique dining experience I think everyone should do at least once yes for sure so you got the next one oh we do okay I talked a lot during that oh you're good I had told you guys I love food I've been very excited the foremost expert um so we're going back into Midtown um we've got the Midtown Bluebird um so I actually have two restaurants The Bluebird A Midtown Eatery the one we'll talk about next is um the same like Restaurant Group um ottomanville Joe um besos are um they've kind of have a little a little hold in Midtown they've got um they've got a little coffee shop um but they're look I think they're looking for a new location for that yeah but long story short they are really amazing amazing restaurant tours and you know again growing up here and being in the service industry I've never worked for them personally because I like their restaurant so much that I try not to like work where I want to be all the time if that makes sense yeah um but I've had a lot of friends that have worked under them and they're very um they're good to work for they treat their stuff really well loyalty there's a lot of loyalty they treat their stuff well they're closed two days a week permanently so that your staff kind of gets that guaranteed break break right and because they are so busy it's like it's necessary it is so Midtown Bluebird is again kind of a smaller facility um but again kind of got that dark romantic Vibe candle lit essentially for the the dinner service they have a small patio in the summer I think there's about four tables out there um but the inside is really kind of like the date night Vibe yes um you know smaller tables it's a little bit more intimate again their wine menu is amazing the gal that worked there for a long time who was actually the same sommelier that was at Tony's for a long time and they just opened up their own which we will talk about stylists on the difference yeah I am like one of their biggest like cheerleaders they're so talented um Chris's Krista we love you watch our videos I'm just kidding um but their wine list is amazing again they kind of do like seafood um I don't want to say comfort food but they just it kind of is a little company Fried Chicken Fried Chicken yes but it's like it's like high-end yeah absolutely yes um they're like they're brussels sprouts are so good veggie appetizers yes and it's like unique dishes too like they have like a grilled octopus which I love octopus um grilled octopus they usually do some sort of like scallop appetizer that's like prepared differently via the season um and again their food is just like well thought out I was the Halibut so good food I'm getting really hungry I know we're gonna we're gonna have to get I mean this is literally yeah we are in Midtown surprise so um so that's Midtown Bluebird cool so Syringa another restaurant again we were saying by the same people as Syringa yes so you wanna bow down yes siringa I think especially maybe not in everyone else's book but I know in my book in Sammy's book Syringa is like the gold standard of like just yummy food Vibe yes it's a great date spot yeah I mean it's great every day but I mean I'm there a lot I love it yeah yeah for sure they they have they started out in a little like really small restaurant uh just south of us and now they've moved up north into a bigger facility just because they needed to um but you just like couldn't every single night yeah and they specialize in sushi and other Japanese style Foods yeah um they've got a huge wine list beers yes sake their sake list is like also very again well put together my dad's a sake guy and it's like he's like this is the best selection Center oh yeah they have and they range they have anywhere from like very high-end sake to like hot sake which is like 10 bucks for a whole crop right so it's like you don't have to be a sucky connoisseur to enjoy yes and their food is just amazing it's not just sushi rolls and New Jersey and raw fish you know I mean they've got all sorts of appetizers the braised green beans oh my gosh are my favorite um they've got all sorts of like cook dishes too so if you're not into raw fish or you're pregnant yeah or whatever there are so many noodle dishes and beef and chicken dishes fried rice vegetable boxes tempura Curry yeah all sorts of stuff yeah they have um a Chilean sea bass on their menu that served with like this gorgeous like vegetable Ratatouille yeah and we actually get that quite a bit as an appetizer and like start with that and like just share it and then have like your sushi rolls because I'm like again I want to eat everything everything on them so I'm like start with the sea bass and then we can do you know your sushi you know some sashimi but they're Fri their fish is fresh I know it's like kind of interesting being in Idaho like obviously it's like a landlocked state from the ocean um but we're four hours from Seattle or 45 minutes we're really not that far yes from the coast yeah and so the fish is always really fresh there is literally nothing worse than like getting Sushi and you're like absolutely not you can just tell that it's like this is kind of old it's like almost like the texture is not right yeah but their fish is fresh their staff again is they don't have a high turnover for the most part they've had people working there for years you know it's like we go so often that we you know everything I know everyone that works there every week when we come in they're like oh or you want green beans to start what are we starting like they know what we order and it's like that kind of like that cheers Vibe where it's like where everyone knows your name and it's just like I love it I love them so much and definitely the best sushi yeah hands down for sure so so um we're Vine & Olive almost to the end of our list we've got two more here um the second to last recommendation is in Riverstone and it's called Vine and Olive and um the woman who started Vine and Olive also has an extensive wine background and um restaurant background and so she's got a couple of restaurants around town but Vine and Olive is a great date night option they've got a really simple menu but everything is really delicious and again this is another spot that's big big on the wine pairings red wine white wine Bubbles and one thing too that in terms of Vine and Olive I've done this a couple of times but it would be so great as a date night activity but Naomi bouts who is the owner she's essentially a sommelier I know she's got a couple other certifications but Naomi teaches a private class they've got this room yeah where all the wine club members boxes are and there's a big long table in there and she will personally give you a crash course in different types of lines or Bubbles and she goes through the process and how it's made and the regions that they're from and what they get paired with and you do a wine tasting with Naomi with food it's a really great like intimate activity and so Vine and Olive you know definitely ranks high in in one of the places that we visit a lot and and support a lot but the food is delicious yeah the other thing I would say about it is it's like eclectic it's not like here's a burger and fries no it's like beet salads and like um you know which I delicious I love it oh my gosh who would have thought that snails but they're like soaked in garlic butter and it's amazing and they get the crunchy little toast to put them on yeah gosh but yeah their menu is again it's like oh it's not like a meat and potatoes um place like if you don't have and it's not like Cheesecake Factory where there's like 15 pages of stuff it's like one page and they they pretty much stick to the same menu like for a season like they don't change their menu very often um they'll you know they'll do specials obviously but um you kind of know what you're getting for that time and then they'll do like a fall menu revamp essentially um but their menu is kind of cool too on the on like The Far Side they'll have like little pairings like if you're getting this this is the wine that you should order with it kind of a thing just like on their menu which is which is cool and Naomi's happy to visit your table yeah and she's there all the time yes she is there I there are very few restaurant folks in town who work harder than Naomi oh yeah only other ones literally yeah but um but she will happily visit your table and give you recommendations she has some very very unique stuff too that she carries and sources and she's more than she's about as happy to talk to you about wine as we are about real estate yes there you go and restaurants and restaurants yes yes okay last on our list last but certainly Wolf Lodge Steakhouse not least um is Wolf Lodge Wolf Lodge is a steakhouse do you like steaks I love steak in my opinion I mean this is a this is a debate that locals have who has the better stake in town there's like Beverly's Wolf Lodge and sometimes people throw in like Texas Roadhouse yeah I mean I mean it's not bad it's a it's it's a great value for sure but personally I'm a big Wolf Lodge girl um it's kind of so it's out on the East end of town there's nothing around it but this random Steakhouse on the side of the freeway and you again reservations yeah definitely but it's been this this building's been like patched together over the years and it's dark and there's like all this like wood shingle on the inside and rock you're in like a little cabin yes it feels like a cabin they're like roomed off it's like you'll have like four tables over here and then you kind of like go down the hallway and then there's like another little cluster of tables so it's almost this like Maze of cabins that you put together it's cool and the servers all wear cowboy hats and like big muscles yeah so big like Western cabin Ranch Vibe at this place and again the menu is really simple there's Seafood on the menu but lots of meat items my favorite personally is the rib eye oh my God oh it's so good and so Wolf Lodge um doesn't like broil their steaks they don't cook them you know sear them in an oven yeah they cook them on an open flame and I've heard I have not confirmed this but I would say it's true and I've actually let me let me take that back I have seen the bucket because I've sat next to the grill they've got a bucket of bacon grease and they coat the top of the meat when before they flip it with this grease and it creates this Char on the meat that is like that can't be replicated and I've tried it trust me at home yeah and it it just never tastes the same the seasoning on the grill yeah the bacon grease they use the Open Flame there's literally no better prepared cut of meat in North Idaho in my opinion yeah people will challenge me on that but I will take this to the Grave yeah stand your ground and also with Wolf Lodge they've got a full bar there they do have some wine it's not like the most the fanciest most uh unique wine pairings it's definitely really about the meat and um like I said they've got some seafood they've got some fish they've got you know Rocky Mountain Oysters it's an appetizer which if you've never had those highly recommend them try it out gotta do it at least once yeah um but uh yeah the food is just amazing and I love Wolf Lodge as a date night um I think most guys will absolutely take a well-cooked steak and there's stuff on the menu for the girls filets are smaller yeah um you know not too much to eat they've got the fish and the crab legs and stuff like that the lobster um and then they've got a ton of sides it's always like you know almost like beans like the Buckaroo the Buckaroo beans salad baked potato it's just it's it's good it's good good you know party North Idaho yeah yeah for sure so um those are our recommendations for date night I think the one thing that's big on all of these recommendations is just the menu items the quality of food lots of wine pairings and experiences and ambiances here places yeah it's not bright and busy and crazy um there's just something really unique and when you go to these places on a date night it'll be something that you a memory hold on to yeah for forever
