Half PPR Mock Draft | My Favorite Picks! | 2024 Fantasy Football Advice

what's going on guys it's Nick here back with another video in today's mock draft Monday I figured we would take a look at basically my favorite pick so I'm going to take uh 10 Team league from the five pick so we're kind of right in the middle there and I'm basically every time we do like a a wrap around in these turn we go through a round I'm just going to talk about my three favorite picks that occurred and then of course you know the players I'm drafting are also some of my favorite picks so regular setup uh we don't do a lot of 10 team drafts so I figured we'd throw one of those in this week so 10 teams from the five pick half VPR two running two receiver actually a flex spot this week I remember to put one in no kicker defense you know tight end uh and six bench spot so we'll begin this draft update for the website as well uh for those of you who want to print out a cheat sheet and know a lot of you were drafting this week um I added a page for that so instead of actually printing off the rankings for just your generic standard half PPR full PPR uh you can print off an actual cheat sheet that has you know like a column here that's got you know uh overall then running back why just see all that stuffs you can cross it out during your draft okay so we're on the board uh we'll talk my favorite picks like after this first spot obviously everyone just went off the board is quite good mcaffrey lamb Bree Hall and beon a lot of people also ask what are my favorite picks during the draft if I can I'm probably taking the 101 just to get mcaffrey um if not and this is regardless of like your league size I think the five pick and the eight pick are also strong five pick you're getting a top five player and there's a little bit of drop off eight pick you're getting a top eight player and then there's a drop off so just kind of locking out like the um the last one right like Tyreek Hill is just the last of these top five players then you get in my opinion uh Jamar Chase Justin Jefferson and Alan R Brown at eight you're just guaranteeing one of those guys okay so after we go we take tyry kill we see AJ Brown Chase Jonathan Taylor Gibbs Jefferson Amor St Brown Anan Barkley Garrett Wilson and puka regardless of value in this specific draft I'm going to more talk about like in general amongst drafts on average my favorite picks in this range would be if you can just lock up one of those top eight do it we'll count that as like one player so again Jefferson amanar Brown Chase locking up one of them would be my favorite in those top eight after that I love Jonathan Taylor I think the touch-up side is immense I mean he could easily lead the league in touches um so fast-paced offense lead him in touches decent offense going to score points going to you know have a lot of winning games like it's just the touch upside is so crazy that in any format he's going to get a ton of touches um I really like aan upside this season I mean if he racks up 60 receptions to go along with you know double dig a touchdowns and obviously he's going to remain highly efficient on that offense like crazy crazy high upside and then I would say Garrett Wilson it's probably my favorite wide receiver and that like late first round range I think he has like Peak Devonte Adams upside with Rogers this season okay where my pick we'll pull up their generic cheat sheet here High drafted players so we have um I'll pull up the team over here we have Tyreek Hill I would like to leave this round with a running back um I can definitely take um Marvin Harrison Jr would be the top player I'm almost confident in I'll pull up the wide receiver rankings yeah Marvin Harrison Jr top wide receiver no tight end no quarterback we're not taking them this early so I could do double wide receiver it's just that when you get into round three wide receivers look good round four wide receivers look good and so it's like you kind of keep going through it it's like yeah the wide receiver probably is the best pick in almost every round but you can't take a wide receiver in every round you kind of have to lock up a running back at some point uh you guys know I love Derrick Henry this season I think if this were my like main League I'd probably just lock up Derrick Henry even if I had um let's see have 16th overall for Marvin Harrison Jr okay I do have 15th overall for Henry but even if that was flipped and that's one thing you know thinking about the rankings you can just take the top ranked player but you also should think about what you've done to that point right like it still be nice you know do the mock drafts you say oh well Marv is technically one spot over if he was he's not actually um but like strategy wise it might just make more sense to go with the running back so yes you can just draft Bas off rankings I would add in strategy personally okay so we take Derrick Henry who's one of my favorite picks in this range as well uh after us Marv cup Adams PCO London uh joshh Allen Kiren and Travis etan my favorite picks in this range Cooper cup I think he could have an absolutely dominant season he's been moving up a lot in drafts right now but on many platforms ESP ESPN you can get him well into the third round um beo I think has awesome upside if he can actually secure more of that third round roll keep the goal line roll love him um then I would say probably London would be my favorite I like Josh Allen but Josh Allen does go a little bit early um it's fine to take him in round three but I would say between Lon and Josh Allen there but I would say Drake Lon I think that up that uh offense is a lot of upside okay our team Derrik Henry Ty Kel lovely the cheat cheat so we can see exactly who is available to us um I don't think I'll go you can go quarterback you can go Ted end here I don't think that I will um I would love you know a top five or top seven tight end we don't need to be first though I can just really take the best value there um and in 10 Team league is slight more valuable uh going after T end quarterback because you want to build slightly stronger team because everyone's going to have a slightly better team um basically what I'm looking at here Jacobs is definitely consideration for us um I don't think it's a cliff but I think there's a drop off into this kind of like James Cook uh you know white walker uh mix and range so getting Jacobs here would be a pretty strong value being able to pair him with Derrick Henry um l EV debbo Nico jayen auk metf so it's like I said before I mean even like Devonte Smith neighbors and we're definitely going to get one of them excuse me we're definitely to get one of them in like the next round so there's no reason for us to like take one here take another one in the next round have our three look back at running back and it stinks I feel like the move is probably just what I've talked about before try to leave the top three rounds of two running backs unless you took one in round one I would say then it's like okay if you got you know CMC Bree beon you can afford to be a little bit less aggressive because they're so locked in as we get into round two round three running backs there are still problems with all of them um so I think taking Jacobs here makes a lot of sense we'll still get one of these wide receivers we love in the next round and we'll have a very very strong start to the draft and then maybe we can look at tight end maybe looking quarterback seeing what's available after that just like a a very safe build for us here so let us go to running back and let's take Josh Jacobs there okay after us Mixon white auk Pitman leaport cook uh olve momes Ken Walker and Kelsey among that I would say my favorite here um I mean I I at least in this draft definitely ove was a significant Val but I think I like olve a good amount clearly the top wide receiver on that that team we're hoping that this pre- snap motion helps them out it's not looking like an amazing offense but um just so clearly a top wide receiver and such a good wide receiver that he can rack up a 27 28% Target sh like he could be really dominant this season so really like olve um really like Ken Walker um maybe slightly less in full PPR but I don't know I mean he might have the most interception he's ever had this season he's a very good player very explosive player and they seem to really really like him especially over shanet so really like Kenneth Walker um and then I would say Mahomes I mean Mahomes is just so locked in he could break the passing record this season like he's so locked in for for passing yards passing touchdowns very very safe pick there okay Pichi and this is kind of why we didn't go with receivers well I mean I'm not going to lie to you I might have just taken Nico Collins he's still there at the next pick yeah niik Collins would have been the one I would have drafted he's still there so I'll take Nico with this pick and to be honest with you I think another one maybe there in the next round so I don't know if we'll go Tian quarterback at that spot Jaylen Herz is still available um let me pull up the I don't have quarterback specific rankings up cuz typically um I I kind of know like exactly what I have for the rankings but I'm curious on overall I don't usually grab um one of these like first two quarterbacks usually I'm looking more in that like more mid-range for quarterback is just a slightly better value but also Herz is not usually available at this spot so I have Herz right now at 33 and we're at 36 okay so it's not crazy value um but the consideration here is Jaylen herdz definitely not running back or I take one of these wide receivers and basically lock up two of them I don't know if I can pass on Nico though I have Nico at 25 yeah I I don't know if I can pass on that we'll probably still end up with a really strong quarterback Val let's go to their overall see what they have quarterback they have it a little bit further down I think I still get a really strong quarterback let's take Nico I know we're not going to get hurt in the next round but I think that's still a good pick there all right take Nico again team Tyreek Nico wide receiver Derrick Henry Josh Jacobs at running back after us Lamar and Herz go off the board we actually well Scott hers in the fifth round uh Kamar Stevenson go and then at wide receiver Debo DJ Moore Mike Evans and metf I would say Jaylen Herz was a very strong pick there Debo is a great pick there and um I would say Mike Evans like Mike Evans just consistently going to get you a thousand yards and like 10 touchdowns probably going to happen again this season also possess his weak winning upside where he has that upside like Tyreek Hill like we want players who are capable of like 150 multiple scores they can just win you the week on their own because everyone has a low floor uh especially wide receiv SE possession and really running back Poss as well really all possessions have a lower floor than people like to admit even though the studs okay so po cheat cheat one more starred player and that is Jaylen wad Jaylen W 30th he is a top ranked wide receiver um but like still Devon Smith's a great pick here Le neighbors is a great pick here um I would say there's somewhat of a drop off after that let's pull up our actual team here okay Andrews McBride still on the board uh let's pull up the specific rankings there so I said uh 30th overall for Jaylen Wadd great pick I mean having oh okay though we already have Hill so that would make me a little bit hesitant taking Wadd and Hill you can do it it's fine um kind of hurts you in the weeks that they run for five or six touchdowns which is like a unique thing to Miami um I have Mark Andrew at 44 we're at 45 so he's a very strong pick at the spot um if I were make 10 team rankings my guess is he would go up to like if I pulled up the custom rankings what you can do my guess is he would go up a few spots UM quarterback not a better value so I would say Mark Andrews or we go with wide receiver but yeah if I didn't have Tyreek Hill I would probably go with Jaylen waddle the fact that I have Hill I think I just rather grab the positional Advantage it's just a little bit stronger play um in leagues that are a little bit smaller um grab that positional Advantage at tight end okay so we'll do that after we go Richardson off the board AR McBride goes at running back a lot of running backs go so Montgomery jonan Williams James Connor Aaron Jones air white and we got three wide receivers waddle Stefan Diggs and devont Smith so we're here in the sixth round um tight end we don't even need to consider I can just exit out of those rankings um poop the cheat cheat I don't think we'll go with wide receiver I mean stoud Kyler burrow Dak love Daniels those that makes out the top seven that I would definitely want one of them but we kind of missed out on I mean there's a relatively clear top end for quarterback I would throw Richardson out of that clear top end I would say like the clear top four are Herz alen Mahomes Lamar I think that's just very obvious missing out on them you kind of have a tier of AR and Stroud um then a little bit of drop off into like Kyler and then a drop again into like that burrow love D Daniels range so you could go with stoud here but I mean I at 59 we're at 56 fine but Malik neighbors is a way better pick at this spot and the fact that we missed out on um wad the last time I just think neighbors is just like so obvious for us to take here I have neighbors 31st overall and if if we're for 56 like that's just such an amazing value relatively easy to take that one I didn't talk about my favorite picks at that last spot so we'll talk about my six favorite picks that happened after the Mark Andrews pick um I would say warming up to Javon Williams but he wouldn't be in my favorite there I'd say Anthony Richardson um dvon Smith and Jaylen W would have been my favorites on that first one and then after we just took Malik neighbors um my favorite picks that went there are Dalton Kade uh Chris Godwin and I would say Terry muren uh other picks that were good um Kyler Keenan Allen were good picks um and the running backs really fine none of them stand out but Swift Nai and Pard also went off the board okay um we're at seven we'll pull up our team starting lineup's done so starting lineup well actually besides quarterback we need quarterback still um but starting lineup right now is missing quarterback and then Derrick Henry Josh Jacobs Tyreek Hill Nico Collins Mark Andrews and Malik neighbors love it love that that starting unit um definitely considering stout here though so we considered Stout at the last pick uh we said it was a few picks worse of value but I mean again I I said there was kind of a drop off after this so Stout definitely an option running back no one's standing out right now there's good picks definitely that I might want my next pick but no one stands out right now um totally fine with moster but moster Brian Robinson single Terry um Warren's getting that fine um seems like he's going be healthy start the year but Spears um Jonathan Brooks Chase Brown Drome forward I'm definitely going to want one of those players I just mentioned but there's enough of them where I can definitely get one of the next pick um Cooper te Pickin Dell rice flowers um Ridley Deonte you know that range as well I'm thinking we go stoud then we see what's most likely between running back and wide receiver to be still there among the players I just clicked at the next round and we try and get one of each so we get stoud one of the running backs I just said one of the wide receivers we just said that would be a very strong start to this draft so let's take CJ Stroud and then okay it looks like it's more likely that a running back will be there at the next pick so I'll take the top wide receiver and then I'll tell you the favorite pick still top wide receiver is going to be flowers just ahead of Pickins it's very very close between those two I would be fine taking Pickin here though if we don't think auk's going to be traded to the Steelers and we think Pickins is going to be by far their most targeted player there's so much upside in a guy that could have a 28% Target like that's kind of what you're looking for in general mid rounds is like can I identify players who can just explode can just be by far the best player on their team you know they can be hyper focusing on every week they're getting eight nine targets uh picking his targets would come deep down field but he's going to work a little bit more short area this season as well like he is by a mile like van Jefferson are number two you know Calvin Austin like it makes sense they're going after Brandon Yu because they need another player like to actually be a good team but if they don't get him if he resigns with the 49ers my goodness I mean the upside there significant with flowers the upside is only so high like he's a very very safe pick very strong pick how much resing could he have and also I have Mark Andrews I'd prefer Mark Andrews to have the really good season so I actually think I'd go with Pickins at this pick we take Pickins I think one of these running backs will be there so we do that and then and then Jonathan Brooks is there amazing okay so this is a beautiful start to this draft um again I'll pull up the draft board and we'll talk about uh these picks here I wish you they could allow you to like move this top part out I don't need all this space up here cuz now you guys can't see the bottom part but the team so far and then I'll talk about the players I liked Tyreek Hill actually I can pull up the side here you can still see it over there okay so you don't need to see the whole board um so we took Stroud Pickins and Jonathan Brooks in these last few so the team I'll do I can't do that either okay the team is Stroud Henry Jacobs Tyreek Hill Nico Mark Andrews neighbors and the bench Pickins and Jonathan Brooks we have four wide receivers we have three running backs head and quarterback we feel good about this St okay after the I guess it would be the Stroud pick I think it was the last time I didn't mention yeah okay so after shoud on nine my nine favorite picks um Jordan love love Jordan love this season very safe pick we know the production is going to be there maybe doesn't have top three upside but you know definitely top five upside I mean did last season his situations way better this year Rashid rice going to rack up a ton of receptions for Kansas City great upside there tank Dell love him uh Chase Brown uh could be the 1A in Cincy um honestly flowers at that spot uh even I took Pickins but flowers at that spot was still a great value as well um Kelvin Ridley you know could be the number one on um yeah top five passing offense for volume not efficiency we'll see with Will Levis um I love Deon single ter could be a feature back even if it's on giant still a feature back this late Deontay Johnson R up with ton interceptions Tai J Spears goes to pick before me um he could be the 1A in Tennessee but it's looking like PA's going to start the season as 1A I took Jonathan Brooks who I love um after that uh Christian Watson I love his upside this season um going to be tough if you've got like Jaden Reed Christian Watson TOS Wicks like who's it going to be this week you never really know you got to kind of start probably all of them but you don't know who who's going to go off um Hollywood once he gets healthy he's going to have a ton of upside in Kansas City uh and then drum four I would say like I mean I would have love to go drone for this pick um we don't know when chub's going to come back but it's going to miss some time then he's going to be slow to start and it's like Ford's going to be the guy to start the season they're going to be a good offense they're going to score touchdowns they're going to use him a receiving game like where he's going right now is a great great great value okay so we're even uh we have our quarterback we have our tight end we're not going to take another one we've got four bench spots and a defense left we're probably just going to split running back and receiver we're not like overpowering either one we're just going to kind of alternate or if we took two we'll take two uh after that I will say I'm probably more confident in my ability to get late round wide receivers that I am running back but kind of look at it right now and it's like there's not really late round guys I mean Worthy is an exceptional pick adun um Jameson Williams Keon Coleman uh Hopkins I don't want to click Sutton but Sutton um Sutton Addison Brian Thomas Jr lad Meyers dos Palmer a little bit of tier behind but I mean worthy right now is a sweet value worthy and the dunesday are exceptional picks this late we'll find running back I just don't think you can possibly pass on on the value of of those two so we'll just pull up that we'll just take worth I mean that's incredible incredible value he's someone will love putting in the flex spot and then if a d is still going to be there yeah we we'll grab running back after that we'll grab worthy and the dunes are making our team we'll go over here um mlin is a great pick uh shanet can be like a kind of a handcuff pick if if not for us but for someone else really uh but it's still great grabbing other people's handcuffs um and I'll go over all these picks in a second but I think I think the best play here is grab mlin grab I don't think we want to handcuff anyone um there's no clear handcuff for Henry okay he's gone but you could technically handcuff Jacobs with marshan L I don't even know if that's cre a handcuff um Brooks okay we could do if chuba was there he's not that probably would have been a sharp thing to do where did chuba actually go chuba went that pick so chuba and sharet would have been good picks Force tonight there um and maybe I should have gone chuba and then hope that mlin was there our next pick but if you want to do that and you're like scared of how long Brooks's going to be out for well chuba is going to be a close to feature back before Brooks can return so grab chuba when Brooks returns you have you have Brooks and it's like you just have feature back on the team that's going to heavly utilize the running back position so that was probably honestly the pick to make last round but I really like mcclaflin this season uh we'll just take the upside of um Jaylen Wright he's a great pick if moster or hn gets injured he's already the running back too um he's a super fast running back as well uh it's a highly efficient offense just makes sense to grab him and then I have a lot of people ask um they're like oh Nick Seahawks and um Bengals are not high in your defense rankings I take into account early season but like those are not good defenses it's just that they play New England like we just we're going to be streaming the defense against New England every single uh week the Bengals open with New England and I believe they're home versus New England and then the um Seahawks open with home versus the Broncos and then they get New England in week 2 so it's whichever one of those you prefer I honestly don't know what my answer is I feel like my gut says I don't like believe in the Seahawks defense a ton but if we're going to lock up two weeks of good value cuz I also think we're probably going to be streaming against the Broncos and maybe they surprise me maybe bonck is better than I think um but I think it's a it's a quality stream if you can get a quality stream in week one and then a great stream in week two maybe that's a little bit better than taking the Bengals because I think the Bengals play a decent team in week two and having to figure out the next week and maybe if you have a ton of Ben spots you take both of them U maybe teams won't pay attention and won't grab um the Seahawks after that but also you think we're going to be streaming the waiver wire so there's going to be great waiver wire pickups after this first week I don't really want to use one of these claims or any Fab on defense to start the season so I think my lean is take the Seahawks you got two maybe they're not like the top defense in week one but they'll be up there in weeks one and two so it seems a good value to me and no one's going to take them like they're 24th here no one's taking the Seahawks defense in your draft so it's a very easy click but again they're ranked lower because they're not actually good defenses and we're not going to want them all season but for those of you who watch the mo draft Mondays and stuff you just know U mayble make a note somewhere those are the two we're probably going after so take them there and that will be the final to our draft actually surprisingly it was a pretty good grade um I mean it was a good draft but good great force here I'm never on these experts that like the team which is weird because I drafted the team okay so here's the Team final Squad is CJ shroud Derrik Henry Josh Jacobs Tyreek Hill niik Collins Mark Andrews Mal neighbors Seahawks defense and then we've got Pickins uh Jonathan Brooks Xavier worthy adun mlin right I love it um and it's also something I don't mention a ton you want to have a good mixture of these young players and these PR are going to perform right away we know sh's going to be good Henry Jacobs Hill Nico Andrews we're not worried about having slow starts because they're young players neighbors maybe but honestly he's probably going to be 30% Target Shar open this season so not too worried book at the bench Brooks slow start worthy maybe maybe a slow start we don't kind of know because he has that boost from the um Hollywood injury but maybe a slow start adun potentially a slower start than London season mlin kind of figuring out that role we don't know 100% J right definitely a slower start so it's like my bench has these young players will start slow but I don't need them right away so that's what you kind of want to shift your focus on I talked about it in like a video very long time ago of like do you target youth you target established players to start the draft you target established players in my opinion to end the draft you target youth players who're going to Peak later in the season because we start off good then all of a sudden our bench is playing a lot better and then we're rocking rolling so that is the end of this one uh tomorrow com to live stream 6:30 Eastern any ton of views on that for you too but it's not worth it uh no rewire video no trade video don't do trades before week one like just just see how week one goes but will bu low after that so there'll be those two videos before week one um it'll be a little bit lighter week before week one because it's week one we don't need trade we don't need waiver wire we don't need draft content if we're not
