9/10 We have some issues in Springfield Ohio

there's a story out of Springfield Ohio regarding the influx of oh maybe as many as 16,000 Haitian immigrants apparently legal and some of the story is obviously true as you'll hear in a moment some of it might not be uh JD Vance has been tweeting about uh the the possibility that pets are not safe because immigrants might be stealing them to eat or Dine on and that's a little tough to to nail down although based on the testimony of a woman you're about to hear I nothing surprises me anymore uh the woman is a we don't really name her but we're going to hear her and see her is that correct yeah I I believe that her name is in that piece that you have in front of well it's a story about Ohio residents uh in a small town Springfield Ohio or Lisa Hayes is her name Lisa Hayes are uh upset over the Havoc caused by a massive influx of Haitians uh residents in Ohio are fuming about the cultural clash between the locals and Haitian migrants at City Council meetings demanding the city take action thousands of Haitians and we tried to find out why Springfield I can't find out why Springfield thousands of Haitians have arrived in Springfield since the covid pandemic and residents have been pointing to an uptick that's fog hornal you got a fog horn I've been pointing to an uptick in crime Mayhem car crashes due to the massive influx of new residents in a town of 58,000 people according to City officials as many as 20,000 Haitians have arrived arrived I see what's going on in the street and I see you guys sitting up there and comfy chairs and Suits talking to the city council I really challenge you guys to get out here and do something said Anthony Harris 28 these Haitians are running into trash cans they're running into buildings they're flipping cars in the middle of the street and I don't know how like yall can be comfortable with this and then we get to resident Lisa Hayes she's 64 and she's recounting an incident for the Springfield City Council where migrants were bullying her at a supermarket they blocked her cart and refuse to let her pass through the aisle and then she goes on to describe some more activity around her house and I'm done with what I'm seeing it is so unsafe in my neighborhood anymore I have the homeless that were trying to camp out and I have I have made concessions with them and I try to help them the best I can to keep them I'm trying to squat on my property but it is so unsafe I have men that cannot speak English in my front yard screaming at me throwing mattresses in my front yard throwing trash in my front yard and I can't I look at me I weigh 95 pounds I couldn't defend myself if I had to my husband is elderly and last night after living in this home for 45 years he said Noel guess what it's time to pack up and move he said can't do this anymore he said it's killing both of us mentally I don't understand what you expect of us as Citizens I mean I understand they're here under temporary protected status and you're protecting them and I understand that our city services are overwhelmed and underst staffed but who's protecting us if we're protecting them who's protecting me I want out of this town I am sorry please give me a reason to stay thank you thank you my God that's powerful now that is and I think the reason why it's powerful is it's it's Springfield Ohio but you could cite that in a number of cities across this country right now and what are we s what what would the conventional news gatherers have us think we're we're all exaggerating if we point something like that out it's all hyperbole if we point something like that out there's a woman and her husband Liv in that house for 45 years they deserve uh an American Finish to their life they deserve to be able to be in their home and be safe and peaceful and it the the behavior of some of our new arrivals is uh extraordinarily poor uh seizing almost instantly on an entitlement mentality and it's just a shame that there's there's two elderly residents of Springfield Ohio who feel that they're being driven out of their house and JD Vance is on this and that's that's the second part of the story uh he agrees that there is chaos and he uh he's on a video of himself and this is from the Independent in the UK and they're they would be predisposed to be opposed to to Vance and Trump uh and they say he posted a video video of himself in which he pedal the rumor that immigrants were causing chaos pedal the rumor see choose your words carefully I think from the woman who testified it's not a rumor but see he's he's pedling the rumor wow W and and he's sharing a baseless claim according according to the independent the UK and appeared to be attacking Democratic uh people the post has been viewed two and a half million times Vance debunked claim now the claim is that the Haitians uh that the immigrants were stealing pets and perhaps dining on them uh the police department does does not confirm that they they say that we haven't had any reports of that but but Vance uh went ahead with that aspect of the story and and the then the traditional uh conventional news gatherers are taking great joy in pointing out that his claim has been debunked including rabbits not rabbits well maybe rabbits too but ducks in the park have been seized for uh dinner and uh we we we get we get people debunking these these claims who who are these people is it news outlets police police the police I'm asking question not trying to start a fight the police say they haven't had any residence of sto uh uh reports of stolen pets but what cannot be denied uh is the idea that the city is facing some serious problems as a result of this influx of visitors and we we get the news gatherers are absolutely defending the visitors and if if the if the UK independent takes great joy in debunking Vance's claims that pets are being eaten uh well they might because the cops have no reports of that they're they're also absolutely denying what you heard Miss Hayes say they're denying that there's a problem I believe her well I watched it I looked at her I have no reason not to believe I'll tell you a good place to go I went to the Springfield BL sun which actually looks like it might still be a fairly good siiz newspaper yeah they have several stories dealing with this including the state attorney general uh saying you know something needs to be done because of the uh The Strain it's putting on Social Services right and cover other aspects of it also I have that clip John if if you guys would like to this is the uh this was a couple of months ago but this is the mayor and city manager of Springfield Ohio I apologize I don't have their names in front of me but they appeared on Fox News talking about their town will collapse and fail due to the Haitian migrant influx that all of their City resources are being overwhelmed mayor of Springfield Ohio and Brian heck is the city manager and they both join me now uh good morning to you both mayor Rue tell us what's going on in Springfield well what we've seen is just such a quick increase of our population over the last five years you know like you said up to 15 to 20,000 immigrants have come across uh and into our community uh this has overwhelmed our safety services and caused Great concern for our community Brian you're the city manager tell us more and how it how this influx is impacting the city yeah certainly uh thank you for having us on this morning you know when we see a 25% increase over a three-year period we're a community we do not have the capacity to to sustain that and it's taxing our infrastructure it's taxing Public Safety it's taxing our schools it's taxing health care and as JD Vance uh spoke on it's taxing our housing we had a housing shortage well before uh this immigration crisis that's uh impacted our community um and this has just made it a hundred times worse and so uh it's setting communities like Springfield up to fail and uh we do not have the capacity to sustain it and uh without additional federal assistance or support um again communities like Springfield will fail what would the point be to let a community like Springfield fail well who who specifically is letting it fail I think that the open border policy is proving to have extraordinarily troubling results but you could put it on it it's Ohio right you could put it on the state of Ohio yeah but I'm afraid I'm afraid if this continues why wouldn't it be every state oh without a doubt well that's kind of what I said about the woman that we heard from earlier you know you could change the LA the the state of Ohio you could you could replace it with anything right now the the shame here is that Vance opted to go with the dogs and cats thing when the real story is the failure of this city I mean he could have easily left that out you know but I know what he was doing it was it's Sensational it's grabbing headlines it's caus you know but making people pay attention K let me let me ask you rob Ru by the way is the name of the Springfield Ohio mayor that we heard from do you put it on the city because the city and the state first of all but like Joe said it's overall it's the policy that's I guess that's what I was getting at because he's begging for help right now he's saying hey we can't this isn't sustainable yeah if the governor if the governor had any balls um he'd fix this whoever the Govern Governor is maybe it's a she I don't know I'll look it up right now but it's it's not the United States of America to see a couple leave their home of 45 years because they can't take the pressure of what's happening in their yard yeah that's not the United States of America right Mike dwine is the governor of Ohio in fact we've always been distinguished as a country for you know the the the owning property and being the fa in control of your own fate and destiny and here it's it's in flux it's in give me the formula again graduate from high school graduate from high school don't have a baby until you get married don't have a baby until you get married and you'll statistically avoid poverty got it uh what I do wrong you're not experiencing poverty that might have been the truth in your day Joe but things are a little different now no it's a recent statistic it's not yeah oh you're crazy yeah I'm not buying it sorry but you know I appreciate your effort okay here's let me ask a question to the the country feels destabilized yes and and why are we okay this is I'm not putting the tin foil hat on but what I'm just trying to ask is when there's audio and video and photos circulating of of the very things happening I don't need NBC news to tell me that it's not you get what I'm saying which part I don't which part is happening that the the pets part because there's audio also of the guy in that same city council meeting any but here's my point I don't need NBC News to to verify something you know what I'm saying no I don't I don't what do you mean explain yourself well because I don't if if I'm seeing you you don't need NBC news to tell you everything's fine exactly okay I get that that's what the conventional news G and that's what's happening though because being we're being gas here but Kenny made a good point Vance goes for the pet thing right away and that becomes Sensational Etc the police who I will choose to believe in this case say it ain't happening why not go for what the real problem is and Jo the woman the woman did go to the real problem exactly so why isn't the Press covering that well they are backing her up and doing the footwork and finding out the truth instead of because they act as agents of the mystery and it's much easier and more welcome for them to condemn JD Vance than it is to assess and act upon This Woman's real problem that that's hard for me to take um because traditional journalism would dictate go out there get your hands dirty get the real story report it win an award Advance your career report the real news Okay 1968 calling Kenny I know I know turn it around can we go back please I'm gonna talk to you after the show I'm gonna no that that's not happening just look at let's forget Springfield come back back to Minneapolis look at the way important stories in Minneapolis are just not even covered oh today the big story I think it was Minneapolis having a vice president in your neighborhood is neat a vice president oh yeah C it's neat it's fun no one although National columnists are starting to get on the walls Mark Stein has written a piece about the food for he's only a year or two late but in his defense he would have had no reason to really worry about what the governor of Minnesota was up to two years ago but he's uh he's on to it now and he writes that that walls is being promoted as America's dad and boy we'd all love a dad who let us relieve him of 250 million greenbacks and then he said this is a story about a charity called feeding our future who helped themselves to a quarter of a billion it was all under Wall's watch it was all under the walls appointment for the Department of Education Heather Mueller it was all walls and he's never had to say a word about it because you know what we're experiencing Joy well I'm I'm drifting let's stay on T track we don't have to go to Springfield there are constant reports of the people of Minneapolis who have had to put up with homeless encroaching their backyard that's that's exactly where I was going when I was thinking of Minneapolis I was thinking of Powder Horn park or all those homeless camps between Franklin and Lake Street that keep popping up uh the the homeless Camp over in St Paul where they're always wandering off on the 35e let me see if I can connect the dots uh and then somebody stop me when I make a mistake the dots would be the homeless are essentially some miserable Souls who are s suffering from drug addiction because of too much plentiful fentanyl in the country and too much plentiful fentanyl is in the country because of an open border am I wrong or right oh you're right just we just keep slipping Joe uh this morning we had a A guy rolling around on the shoulder of southbound 35W South of Lake Street then getting up in Shadow Boxing and dancing around then falling down and rolling around um you know obviously under the influence and Trooper came along and hauled him to the hospital under leftist leadership this country will continue to to decline I I couldn't be more confident of a statement under leftist leadership particularly the closer you get to the country's tallest buildings we're missing that aspect of discipline we're missing that aspect of moral and ethical integrity and were siding with the people who are presumed to be oppressed in many cases they're not at all and Traditional Values of the United States of America are being thrown out the window including an elderly couple who lived in their have been living in their home in Springfield Ohio for 45 years and are now being driven out by the behavior of people on their lawn that's that's that's the end of the country if you can't have that Center hold it's the end it's the end of the country I did find Joe you asked how and why they're there yeah I did find a story that addresses that uh Springfield had a population of 880,000 in 1960 but then things started to go to hell people started leaving businesses closed then uh the city tried to uh make better work jobs there uh work jobs better work things there uh a major Japanese Auto Parts opened up a manufacturing plant 2017 in 2020 Springfield lured Food Service firms logistic companies and microchip makers creating an estimated 8,000 new jobs and optimism for the future Haans who heard that the Springfield area boasted well paying Blue Collar jobs moved there in force they had Social Security numbers and work permits thanks to a federal program that offered them temporary protection in the United States some had been living for years in places like Florida where there's a thriving Community ended up moving to the Ohio area uh the businesses all at that point flourished uh but of course the social services etc etc the whole there's just too many people they couldn't deal with all the people coming in well I do this Rook look up on a map for me I want to know where Springfield is
