Florida Football 2024 Predictions

what's up sports fans this is the Lucas Ross Sports channel we continue here at my 2024 predictions for the upcoming 2024 college football season the Forida Gators are up next Florida coming off a very disappointing year last year in 2023 missed out on the bowl game going 5- seven overall and it really wasn't just about the record it was more about the schedule from last year Forida had a very tough schedule last season so now looking ahead to 2024 Florida once again has a very tough schedule this year you look at the offensive side of the football though uh this is going to be a very talented Florida team and it's really just about the schedule it's not really just about their roster I think they're going to be really good I mean they're going to be a really good team not a terrible team it's just more about their schedule but grem Merz is back at quarterback so hopefully he does have a very consistent year this year and then defensively I think they'll have some question marks on the defensive side of the football but other than that this should be a really good forward a team but again looking at the schedule here for 2024 again this is one of the toughest schedules here in the country and definitely one of the toughest schedules in all the power four teams so again Florida was 5- seven last year in 2023 so let's go game by game now and give you a record prediction here for the Florida Gators for 2024 and of course the first game of the season is at home against Miami here on August 31st of course I've already done my Miami prediction video from Monday and I did choose a course Florida to win this game I think it's a lowc scoring type game here between both of these teams and it's going to be a really competitive game it's going to be a dog fight we saw this game will be scheduled at 3:30 Eastern time uh if Florida can get a big win like this to start out the year maybe Florida does have a chance to probably have a good year the rest of the way I know the schedule gets tougher once they get into the uh you know mid of you know mid part of October and everything but this Miami team I think is going to be really good this year they might be the more talented team here but I think Florida you know playing at home it will be the difference here this is a tough one to call I've been kind of back and forth on this game as well when I did my Miami prediction and everything so I think Florida does beat Miami here in a low-scoring type game so I think fla starts out 1 and0 and then they take care of business against Sanford so I got Forida starting out 2-0 and then they open up SEC play here against Texas A&M here on September 14th I also did my Texas A&M video from this past Tuesday and I did choose a course Florida to win this game I think both of these teams are are not pretty even I think Texas ain't in might be with a more talented team and definitely the more experienced roster and everything but playing at home that really does favor Ford in this one so with that being said I said it was going to be a low-scoring type game uh between these two teams so with that being said you know playing at home 50-50 uh close game here I'm going to go with Florida here to knock off Texas A&M so I think Florida wins three games in a row to start here in the month of September and also if you're counting that Miami game there in the month of August so I got Florida Starting Out 3 and 0 and then they go all on the road for the first time to play Mississippi State here on September 21st this will be the first true tough road test here for the Florida Gators uh Mississippi state is a team is a team that I'm not really that high on this year it's a complete rebuild down there and also they lost a lot of players from last year either from the transfer portal maybe due to graduation and maybe some of them going to the NFL and I just don't think Mississippi state's going to be all that good but you know this game is on the road so you never know what can happen uh maybe it's close maybe it goes into the third quarter but maybe Florida probably finds a way to pull away in the fourth quarter I think Florida might be the more better team here let's be honest I think Florida has a more experienced roster than Mississippi state does so that being said I think Florida does get a sneaky win here on the road here at Mississippi State again it's probably a close game it's probably a game that can go into the third quarter but maybe by the fourth quarter uh Florida does pull away late so I got Florida winning that game here on the road at Mississippi State so that puts their record now at 4 and0 and then they play UCF here their other non-conference game on October the 5th they will play this one at home UCF is going to be a really good team they're one of the most consistent teams right now uh maybe out of you know some of other teams in the Big 12 this year Florida does get this game at home if there was if this game was on the road I would definitely choose UCF here to pull off a huge upset but you know Florida is playing at home in this one maybe this game is close in the first half but maybe second half Florida does pull away and plus they're playing at home in this one so I think Florida does beat UCF here and plus they get a byee before playing that game which I think it's a really weird spot for a bye you rather have it here before you play your rivalry game against Tennessee here on the road which is the next game here right here on October 12th as fora goes into this one at 5- and0 this is where the schu schedule gets tougher here it goes all the way from October 12th all the way to the end of the season you got Tennessee here on the road though obviously this a Revenge game here for Tennessee from last year for to beat this Tennessee team last year at the swamp this time they will play Tennessee and Knoxville at nean Stadium very tough place to play I've already done my Tennessee video I I do see this game being really close though I mean I think it's going to be probably potentially a top 25 matchup if Florida was you know probably Undefeated by this point but you know Tennessee is playing at home it's a 50-50 game close game though I'm going to go with the volunteers though because they're playing at home in this one and I also think Tennessee gets revenge on Forida from last year so that's Florida's first loss of the Season that puts their record now here at 5- one and then after that it's a home game against Kentucky here on October 19 this is a Revenge game here for the Gators from last year obviously the game was not really close last year Kentucky dominated uh this Series has been close these days you know Florida used to dominate this series and I also forgot to mention that Tennessee game they used to dominate against Tennessee in the series but now it seems like Tennessee has caught up to Florida and then you look at Kentucky it seems like they caught up up to Florida here as well remember Florida had a 30 uh you know plus year uh winning streak against this Kentucky team and ever since that win Kentucky has definitely been on fla's number but you know fla is playing Kentucky here at home this year I think Kentucky could be a sneaky good team in the but you know playing at home that definitely does favor Ford in this one I think this is a 5050 game it probably will be a low-scoring type game it can definitely go either way but I'm going to go with Florida here just because they're playing at home and I also think they get a bounce back back win over uh you know Kentucky here after the loss to Tennessee plus I think Florida comes out really fired up for this one and really tries to get revenge on Kentucky from last year and that's what I'm going to go with here I think the Gators do you know beat the Wildcats here and get revenge on last year's game so I I got Florida now improving to six And1 they get their second bye here before the big game against Georgia here in Jacksonville on November 2nd and again this is where the schedule gets really tougher here from Florida uh right here the month of November all the way to the end of the season you got Georgia here to start out the month of November and I've already done my Georgia video a long time ago and I did predict Georgia to win this one fairly easily uh maybe this is this is a game that probably could be close in the first half but maybe Georgia probably pulls away in the second half however in that Georgia video I did say I don't really see this one being a close game at all I just don't think Florida is on Georgia's Talent level like they used to be so I think Georgia is going to be too dangerous a lot of experience coming back on both sides of the football Georgia's going to have a really uh dangerous offense and the defense is going to be even more dangerous as well so I got Georgia meeting Florida here I think they give Florida their second loss here of the season and then it gets more tougher here for Florida right after that Georgia game they go on the road to play Texas here on November 9th uh this is a game that I don't really seem being close at all uh it's a very tough place to play here at Austin Texas and Texas is going to be once again a very talented team just like Georgia Texas and Georgia are very talented teams I don't really see Forida going on the road and beating Texas here it just won't happen I think Texas beats fora here fairly easily and I think that's two straight losses there for Florida so that puts their record now here at 6 and three but then they're back at home to play LSU here on November 16th another tough game here for Florida but the good news is they get this game at home the Tigers I think are going to probably take a step back from where they were especially on the offensive side of the football but defensively they're going to have a really good defensive uh you know line and everything and also a defense overall but you look at this fora team you know they're playing at home in this one and this is obviously a rivalry game anything can happen and it's also in the month of November one of those upset alert type games and plus a Revenge game here for Florida they come out really fired up for this one and plus I've already done my LSU video and I did choose Florida to win this game so I'm going to go with Florida here to pull off an upset again that's a game that really can go either way again LSU not going to be the same team as they were from last year if Jayden Daniels was still there at quarterback I would definitely go with the Tigers but I'm going to go with Florida here to get the win so I got Florida now and proven to S and three and then after that they'll play Old Miss here at home on November 23rd this is going to be a very talented Old Miss team and definitely a lot more better on the defensive side of the football and plus they're going to have very explosive offense they got Jackson dart back at quarterback I think this is going to be a really tough one here for Florida uh even though it's at home I I think they can make this a really close game though it probably goes into the fourth quarter but I don't think it will be enough to pull off the upset I think Old Miss is definitely the more talented team uh just like Texas and Georgia uh Florida not on those level of the two teams there but I think they're definitely on Old Miss's level but just the talent of Old Miss and the high-powered offense I don't think it's going to be enough to stop this Old Miss offense so with that being said I think Florida does lose a close one here at home against Old Miss here on November 23rd so I got oldis giving Forida their fourth loss here of the season and then the final game of course is on the road here at Florida State on November 30th of course the Rivalry game that anything can happen here in this one it was a very competitive game last year you know fora was definitely the better team last season but you know Florida State pulled away late in the fourth quarter so it was a really low-scoring type game last year this year I think it's going to be even another more competitive game here in this one I think it definitely can go either way you know Florida State of course has the home fit Advantage but it wouldn't really shock me if Florida probably pull off a huge win here on the road at Florida State but I don't think it will be enough HomeField Advantage might favor the difference again it's a rivalry game anything can happen and it's obviously a tough one to call so with that being said I'm going to go with Florida State here to knock off Florida in their last game here of the regular season so I got Florida predicting to go 7 and5 here for 2024 I know this is one of the toughest schedules in the country but you know you look at this schedule there's a lot of very winnable games you got Old Miss at home which I think is a very winnable game you got LSU I'm going with the upset there you got Kentucky at home I'm going with the uh win there for Florida and then you got Texas A&M I mean that Miami game is going to be really tough to begin this season so if they win that game maybe Florida has a good year for the rest of the way but if they don't win that game uh Florida probably doesn't make it to a bowl game they probably go five and seven uh maybe they can go 6- six but I don't see them going 8 and four or 9 and3 but 7-5 is my prediction here for Florida I know that sounds crazy but again with this tough schedule I think Florida does go to a bowl game somehow and pull off some big wins here on this schedule so I got fora going s and5 that is
