UCF Football 2024 Predictions

Intro what's up sports fans this is the Lucas Ross Sports channel we continue here at my 2024 predictions for the upcoming 2024 college football season the UCF kns are up next UCF coming off a pretty solid season last year going 6 and S overall in 2023 in their first year of course in the Big 12 so they did make it to a ball game and in fact they were the only newcomer last year out of all the group of five teams that came to the Big 12 actually to make it to a b game uh Houston BYU and Cincinnati all had disappointing year uh disappointing Seasons so UCF coming off a solid season my thoughts on this team for 2024 I think UCF has a chance to be pretty decent they do have a schedule that really sets up nicely for them uh this could be like a Darkhorse contender in the Big 12 this season and you look at the roster they don't have the most talented roster in the country but they do have some talented players on their roster offensively they do have a transfer quarterback coming in KJ Jefferson that played at Arkansas so he does have a lot of experience he can also run the football as well so we'll see how good he is on this offensive system here for UCF but I think the defense is going to be the strength here of this UCF team so we'll see how good this team is going to be here in 2024 but like I said it's the schedule that I think it really sets up well for them to have a pretty good season again Schedule here is that schedule here for UCF and again they were six and seven last year in 2023 so let's go get game by game now and give you a record prediction here for UCF for 2024 they have a couple of easy non-conference games to start off the year they got one on Thursday night against New Hampshire and then they play Sam Houston here on September 7th should be two easy wins here to start out the year here for the nth so I think they dominate those two games they start off with wins against New Hampshire here on a Thursday night on August 29th and then they beat Sam Houston here the next week here on September 7th so I got UCF starting out 2-0 going into conference play they do open up Big 12 play here on the road on September the 14th at TCU I think TCU is going to be a lot better this year they had a very disappointing season last year and you look at both of these rosters I think they're both pretty even rosters uh UCF might have a slight advantage in like talented players but TCU is a very consistent team in the Big 12 and I think both of these teams are going to be very consistent I do expect them expect both of these teams uh to be right there around 6 7 wins this year in the Big 12 and in fact they could be both Darkhorse contenders in the Big 12 as well I think this is a pretty even matchup I think TCU though playing at home home foot Advantage is going to be the difference in this one again it's really just that even of a matchup here it's back and forth I'm going to go with TCU though here to get the win so I got UCF losing their first game here in the Big 12 and also their first game here of the Season uh that puts their record now here at 2 and one they get a byee here before playing Colorado at home here on September 28th the this one's going to be a really good one you look at Colorado obviously on the offensive side of the football they're going to try to make this game a shootout they're going to try to score a lot of points here on this UCF defense I think ucf's going to try to run the football in this game and really slow down that Colorado offense and keep him off the field for as long as possible and really pressure shadir Sanders at quarterback and I think they're going to put a lot a lot of pressure here on this Colorado receivers as well so I think ucf's going to really try to run the football I think that's going to really work out for them and also they get a bye-week before playing this game have enough time to study that Colorado offense and I think their strategy works I think they run the football a lot in this game and they really make Colorado really struggle on the defensive side of the football so I'm going to go with UCF here to get the win and that puts ucf's record now at 3 and one next they play Florida here on the road in the non-conference on October 5th very tough place to play having to go on the road to play at the swamp I know a lot of people saying or Florida is Florida not going to be really good this year well I don't think Florida is going to be bad I know it's because of their schedule I think Florida is a very talented team yes their schedule is very tough but I do expect this Florida team to be at least competitive in the SEC but again Florida you know that's a very tough place to play on the road here uh you know I they I do expect a very competitive game though otherwise I think UCF is going to be very competitive I think Gus maslon the way he played in the SEC at fora he'll have his team ready but I think it won't be um I think it will be a game though that's going to be close like I said I think Florida definitely clearly is the better team here so with that being said I think Florida also playing at home uh the crowd will be fired up and a turnover probably changes the difference I'm going to go with the Gators here to get the win so I got UCF losing their second game of the season on the road here at Florida that puts their record now at 3 and2 going back into Big 12 Play they'll play Cincinnati here at home on October 12th not really that high on Cincinnati don't think they're going to be really good this year so I think UCF wins this one fairly easily I think they're offense might struggle a little bit and then the defense might struggle a little bit as well so I got UCF getting their second win here in the Big 12 that puts their record now here at 4-2 next they play Iowa State here on the road on October 19th another very tough game here on the road for UCF you know Iowa State I think is going to be pretty good this year I think this is also a Darkhorse contender in the Big 12 a lot of production coming back here for Iowa State and that think that's the reason why they're going to be really good and they're a well coach team as well they have plenty of Playmakers on their roster as well but this is a pretty even matchup I do expect UCF to compete in this game but Iowa State playing at home that's probably going to be the difference here HomeField Advantage will be the difference I'm going to go with the Cyclones here to get the win so I Results got Iowa State getting the win there and giving UCF their third loss here of the season so that puts their record now here at 4 and three next they play BYU here at home on October 26 I know a lot of people are saying that BYU is not going to be really good this year I don't think think BYU is going to be terrible I maybe maybe they're not going to be a really good team this season uh just based off of where they were from last year they could be a young team as well but I kind of don't expect a pretty easy game here for UCF especially after a loss and a beat down to Iowa state from last week maybe they start off slow but I got UCF winning otherwise because they're playing at home so that's ucf's fifth win here of the Season that puts their record now here at 5 and3 next they play Arizona here at home on November 2nd and on a team that has a new head coach this year they're not going to be the same team as they were from last year but they're definitely still a top 25 team in my opinion and definitely a dark horse contender in the Big 12 they might be the best like you know newcomer maybe like not the best newcomer coming in over from the Pack 12 and everything but Arizona's going to have a pretty good offense they do have a good amount of production coming back on the offense this year the defense is obviously a concern I think it will be a very competitive game it really can go either way but with that being said home fit Advantage might be the difference here and a lot of these games are just really hard to predict in the Big 12 again you know home fit Advantage might be the difference and all these predictions uh when it comes to the Big 12 this year so I got UCF winning that game that's two lens in a row that puts their record now here at 6 and three then they go on the road to face Arizona State here on November 9th uh this is a very tough place to play on the road at Arizona State I think the sundevils are going to be a little bit better this year but I think UCF definitely is a more talented team than Arizona state is I know they have to go out west and everything the travel issue might be a you know big factor here for UCF but again I just think the knights are a well coached team I think ghost maon will have his team ready in this one I think KJ Jefferson I do trust him to make a lot lot more plays than Arizona state does I don't think Arizona State's going to be bad but like I said ucfa definitely a more talented team they get the win here on the road at Arizona State so that puts their record now here at 7 and3 and then they get their second bye here before playing on the road at West Virginia here on November 23rd West Virginia is going to be a pretty good team this year a lot of experience coming back for them on the offensive side of the football so I think the offense might be very explosive this year for the Mountaineers the defense obviously could be pretty solid as well this game's on the road I think it's a very winnable game here for UCF but again I think home fit Advantage might be the difference here and I think West Virginia is a slightly better team than UCF maybe not a more well coached team but I think West Virginia gets the win here it's a close game I'm going to go with West Virginia here to get the win so that's four that's the fourth loss here in um on the season here for UCF that puts their record now here at 7 and4 going into the final game of the season they'll play Utah here at home on November 29th this game of course will be on a Friday uh Utah with a lot of experience coming back they do have Cam rising of course coming back at quarterback as well and I've already done my prediction for this game I did say UCF would pull off an upset in this one I'm still going to go with with the upset here I think UCF uh you know after the loss to West Virginia they were probably not focused on the West Virginia game from last week and they're probably focused on this Utah game and also it's a Friday night game we've seen a lot of upsets in the past in these Friday night games and I think that's what's going to happen here so I think UCF gets a big upset here in this one and they pull off the Shockers so I got them beating Utah here on November 29th and I got UCF finishing 8 and4 here for 2024 so a better record than last year do expect this UCF team to be right there among dark horse contenders in the Big 12 again this schedule is not that horrible they got Colorado at home they got Arizona at home they got Utah those are probably their three biggest games at home and then you got really tough row games against TCU Iowa State and West Virginia again all games are pretty winnable in the Big 12 and that Florida game I think it's also a very winnable game so this team probably can go 9 and3 maybe s and5 if they were able to lose probably the Arizona State if they got up said in that game but I'm going to go with 8 and four here I think 8 and4 is my prediction here for UCF so again that's my
