Doug plays today's Wordle Puzzle Game for 09/07/2024

well everyone it is Saturday September the 7th 2024 I'm Doug it's time once again to play some wle our very good friend Jennifer Menard 8573 writes in hi Doug I watch every morning from Houston Texas oh cool thank you by you City try Bayou is a starting word oh I like it I don't know if we've started with Bayou before that one does not ring a bell so I am more than excited to give this spin for perhaps the first time on the show so let's get it going uh let's see what we get with Bayou okay we get a letter O out of position I'll take it as a starting point uh and we uh rule we've evaluated three of the classic files so we like that as well um okay where do I want to go from here how about uh you know I have it we'll use a classic uh simple word with lots of good letters uh how about store s t o r e uh that'll leave only the i unevaluated in the classic fows get um St and R in the mix could be the answer you never know uh so let's find out is the answer to today's puzzle the word store no it's not but now look at that O R and E have all joined the party all out of position to boot um boy you know the first thing when I look at this here's what jumps out at me and I don't have a word yet but I look at o blank eer like cover cover just immediately came to me cover but I imagine there's probably a few other things there's hover there could be I was going say boxer but we tested the be byou so that's not it um cover and hover that just immediate I guess lover right so there's OV that just seems to jump off the page at me mover lover mover cover hover a lot of OV I so I guess we have to evaluate OV R here um I think cover was the first thing that came out of my mouth so let's give that a go and see if we're at least on the right track could be the answer a nice little nice little quick three guess solve maybe ah is the answer to today's puzzle the word cover no it's not it's not OV uh and not only that we now have the breaking news that the O is absolutely in the first position via process of elimination so we have o blank blank erer uh it cannot be otter because we tested the T in store but it could be offer it could be offer it could be owner it could be older oh boy offer owner older all distinct sets of letters to boot H wow that's that's tricky now we have three guesses left if those are the only three possibilities we can go down the line I get that uh either owner or older is what I would be inclined to look at next because there's two different oh it could be order too that's right oh goodness gracious it could be older or order and I say that because that those are both with the letter D so I feel like I guess what I have to try on the fourth guest then is the word older because that also covers order um yeah boy I see a lot of possibilities here so this is a little nerve-wracking but we could get lucky that's always a possibility here uh I would love to see the letter d light up um and if it doesn't we've ruled out two of the possibilities so that's not too bad either is the answer to today's puzzle the word older no it's not but neither the L or the d light up either um so obviously order is ruled out so now we're at owner and offer but I'm feeling like I'm potentially missing something else here right um I don't think there's another R in here at this point I don't believe that that's going to be it so we have offer and owner um but again I feel like I'm nervous that I'm not seeing something um there's no double O guaranteed for sure I don't see any world where there's another letter e so it's definitely one or one repeating or two consonants um there's no other double letter that works here so offer and owner I can't see anything else else I just don't see anything else which means I have to go with my instinct here I have to trust my instinct I think owner makes sense next because you just think that maybe there was a combination with a W or an N that you missed and if it's not owner we we really hope that is offers but let's nonetheless Let's cross that when we get to it cross that bridge if we get to it is the answer to Is puzzle the word owner yes it is wow for like the third time this week uh a lot of nervousness around the solve there that one that one again I'm assuming I wasn't missing any possibilities there but uh if it had to go down to offer I mean you know that you're just constantly second guessing yourself but nonetheless we got there Jennifer thank you so much uh that was a fantastic starting word it set us off on a most unique Journey uh folks I hope you do consider getting us your starting words as well uh tomorrow is Sunday and we are going to open with the word Brown uh so hopefully you will join us and we'll have a great time thanks for watching I'll see you tomorrow for some more Wordle
