Richard Tice: Patel ‘Opened Doors To Immigration’ | Labour ‘Don’t Have Courage' To Deal With Issue

we are delighted to be joined it's always like a bit of a buzz for me this he's turned into a bit of all the girls run around the office oh my God Richard Tyson is in the building Richard Ty Deputy leader of Reform UK and the MP for Boston and skegness a very good afternoon very good afternoon to you actually I mean let's talk about greni we will talk about greni because it is appalling and I was in the house just earlier when the Prime Minister gave a statement he made a and there are multiple multiple failures and negligence all over the place blaming each other it seems not of blaming each other by by the construction firms but I have to say uh and I'll get sort of shot down in flames saying this the truth is that the stay put advice by the fire brigade to the people in the building as opposed to use your common sense and get out of a building that's on fire I believe that almost all if not all of those 72 who sadly lost their lives would all be alive today if the advice had been get out the building it's very interesting this damning report just for people who are tuning in not only talks about successive governments I made the point to you back to 1991 dishonest firms but it slams the fire service for that you would not be you would not be criticized that comment is absolutely spot on it's been proven proven yeah and it's worse than that because there was a fire at a place called Lao house in 2009 where I think six people died and the coroner's inquest from that said that actually the stay put advis then given that the outside of the building was off was wrong and that the incident commanders should be retrained and guess what it appears they weren't retrained so gross negligence all over the place Sophia says JK not only have they not bothered to spend any money fixing other buildings with this cladding but 10 individuals at the top of the building material manufacturing firms have banked more than 300 million quid since this far in June 2017 that's the point isn't it these fat cats have made money using a product they lied about Martina Le from the times was just telling us they fixed testing for God's sake now if that isn't complete negligence and quite how a government allows that I mean I guess that comes under the home office again another fit for bleeding purpose they Terri they fixed the testing uh but also our building RS were were wrong I mean there was there was a catalog of failures at every single level and I'm afraid it's it's symptomatic of a a an incompetent tick boox culture that doesn't actually achieve what it's trying to achieve and here we are It's s years on they spent however many hundreds of Millions on this inquiry the police have barely in a sense started on what will be the prosecutions that'll go on for another 5 to 10 years costing heaven knows how much I mean you know it goes to the very core of whether or not we can do inquiries and prosecutions and I fear the truth is the way we're currently set up actually we just can't the whole thing needs reform Jeremy so H very good very clever uh so much to to talk about let's have a lucky dip I'm going to give you a b or c take a take a pick what are you going for what's a uh do you want to go a b or c let's go a a is pretty Patel ladies and gentlemen has just been voted out of the Tory leadership contest this is the first vote there were six of course Patel has been knocked out surprisingly Mel stride is still on his stride KY B knock Robert jri stride James cleverly and Tom tugan hat are left in the race to succeed Richie who by the way was called PM three times by starma this afternoon have you heard that I did hear that because I was bobbing up and down trying to catch the speaker's eye to ask the Prime Minister the current the actual prime minister as opposed to who starma thinks is the prime minister I was trying to catch the speaker's eye uh to talk about the uh the tragedy in the in in the channel yesterday but anyway the speaker ignored me but um yeah it's a bit odd isn't it starm seems he was very nervous in the chamber the the the actual prime minister starma he was very nervous first pmqs back and it was all is that cuz he screwed the British pensioners hasn't sorted out the migrant crisis or what both both of them is the truth let's talk about this leadership vote though um it seems to me that nobody gives a tell certainly about this Tory leadership if if we're being absolutely honest but Robert genrich there's 121 Tory MPS Robert genrich came top with 28 that's that's not more than really a quarter I mean this is wide open I mean I know you don't care but you think I don't care and I don't think most of the country cares but the reality is pretty Patel lost and has been dumped out of the competition because of she completely misread the room uh for someone who supposedly talks tough the truth is she actually in a sense governed left she didn't want to leave the European convention on human rights that actually a significant part of the Tory membership and voters do and she wouldn't apologize for the fact that she opened the the doors to mass immigration in 2020 21 and 22 no apology whatsoever on her watch so quite rightly she's been d out of the race Gary and Glasgow says guys in respect of the Tory leadership in my opinion it's a bit like shaking a cat litter from side to side you're still left with the same old box of crap which I think is a quite an interesting line I couldn't possibly comment no because you're now you see you can't comment because you're an MP now okay uh so the Tory leadership isn't uh most exciting um the thing about it was and and I know you're a reform MP but I I remember when this happened the election I remember thinking and saying on air you know what the Tores need to get their backsides into quicker than November because this labor government is going to be stealing a March nothing could be further from the truth and I'm quite prepared to say this right I I had a I had a gentleman yesterday um and Andy Williams who is a labor supporter was very very good he said the first five or six weeks were smooth he said the last four weeks have been a series of unmitigated own goals you've screwed pensioners you've sent your police out onto the streets quite rightly to do with the riots you've politicized that so that anybody who apparently complains about anything is far right whilst not showing the same strength when we look at rotheram and we look at what happened in leads um you can get a tener for giving your knife back a zombie knife the migrant situation is still haven't got a border control expert after nine weeks some people are still flowing into our country but it's worse than that and the question I wanted to ask the Prime Minister today ask me pretend I'm the prime minister so uh prime minister yes T the tragedy yesterday y means that as many people sadly have lost their lives in the two months under the new labor government as lost their lives in the first six months of this year how's your smash the gangs policy working given that it seems to lead to more deaths and when prime minister will you actually adopt the only kind and compassionate policy the reform UK policy of pick up and take back which you're legally entitled to do Under the 1982 un Convention of the law of sea and the 19 74 safety of Life at se I've read these boring treaties I know the exact Clauses but they haven't got the courage to do it that why have they not why have they not got the courage because they don't want to upset the French the truth is the French are breaking those very same treaties by aiding and abetting criminals and we're giving 500 million quid a year right we're giving them hundreds of millions of pounds and they're organizing a taxi service in breach of international law but because of course this government and the previous government they want to Cozy up to the leaders of the European Union as a Sometimes the best form of friendship is being a critical friend um Let me let me say something to you you're you're an esteemed politician now this is this is something that I have said and you're right migrants attempt Channel Crossing 24 hours after 12 are killed there doesn't seem to be an answer right there are people who will say we have the answer you pick up and take back it stops within three weeks I promise you pick up and take back it would just out of the water take them back where to France back to France back to Dunkirk back to CI guess what the Belgian authorities did that when some migrants wanted to take Boats off the Belgian Shores the Belgian authorities did that and guess what no dingies leave the Belgian Shores what I what I worry about about this country is we we we we seem to be governed increasingly by this sort of activist left that jump on the bandwagon of everything here's what I mean I go further I'd never be in reform and genuinely this is the truth there's two ways that I'd stop the boats right the first is I'd stop making this bloody country so soft and so attractive to people who haven't paid anything if I was a pensioner Richard Ty and my winter fuel payment had been curbed so the unions could get a 20% pay rise and people could come to this country and stay in a four heart star hotel I would be absolutely ring i' go why have I worked all my life for a country that's treating me as best as a third rate CI you see my inbox from constituents who are fuming about this very Point course and the other thing is whether it's pickup or take back I don't understand the theory that says and I'm starting on you now oh by the way we we're escaping a war torn country I'm not bringing me wife and kids I'll leave them behind they might get you know injured but there you go the if I was doing that the first country I got to i' go oh great but no we're going to come to Britain cuz we're a softish you know what I'm trying to say we are we need to we need to turn the boats back and we need to say let's look after our own people not seemingly every other person in the world and I've just uh I was just I was at a meeting earlier with a very senior Diplomat from Switzerland who said they process their applications for a is within listen to this everybody 72 hours 72 hours 72 hours is their target they're achieving most of it and they deport most of those who are rejected and they don't offer the same sort of level of benefits they keep it to the absolute bare minimum and guess what their illegal migration problem they've still got a bit of it but it's nothing compared to what we've got and they're right next to Italy where of course everybody's coming through from uh from the Mediterranean you never thought did you for the people there are people in this country who say that reform is is far right which I think is absolute rubbish but I am probably I mean I'm going to give you another one which I mean you're going to go oh my God even Niger wouldn't say this so here's the other thing I've never understood and this is on the day by the way I'd love your reaction to this s Tony Blair have you read this yes has admitted ladies and gentlemen the influx of migrants under his Premiership placed strain on our communities Tony Blair the man who opened our borders has said that here's what I don't get and I've never understood and I'd love a reform response to this so I get told there's millions of people claiming benefit many of whom quite rightly do are disabled mentally ill or whatever but I believe and I think I'm right in saying sadly for many it's become a career choice and there are millions who we are paying our taxes to pay to do nothing now let's be sympathetic and consider that these people do want to work it's difficult when you're out of work we want to incentivize them train them get them into work why don't we stop importing people who I'm told will only pick fruit and pull trolleys in hospitals and encourage the people who we paying to do buger all to get off their backsides get something on their CV and make them do that and close our borders why is that so alien to any do good Al it's a basic piece of common sense but you've got to make work pay and what both parties have done over the last 15 years and this government's going to do the same by freezing the starting point at which you pay income tax at about £125,000 then for too many people it doesn't pay to go to work because of the amount you can claim on benefits which of course are tax-free that's why our key policy of starting income tax at £20,000 all of a sudden those who do want to work but are trapped on that sort of question well at the end of the week what have I got net in my bank account or my pocket um all that changes the calculation and hundreds of thousands would get back to work very very quickly because as is generally in life money motivates money talks and you got to make work pay it's basic Common Sense do you think we're soft in this country I'm afraid that that are are the people who manage and govern the country are soft are weak and that has led us to where we are which is a terrible place and the truth is unless we create some serious economic growth then we are heading towards a serious financial crisis and I mean forget all this sort of 22 billion pound black hole no we're going back to that Andy Williams that was a political Choice yes but you know he said and he said I said I'm a labor supporter he said they talk 22 million cut the pensioners saved 11 and then spent 17 billion on giving their mates in the unions a pay rise and if you scraps Net Zero then right you would save tens of billions Energy prices would come down you wouldn't have to have winter fuel all
