Auburn will kick off to get us underway fair catch called for and me first down this offense On The Run it's Sanders they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one so no room to run there and you wonder after that loss on first down where they turn now yeah and that's why it's so important for the defense to win these first downs right you want to create negative plays to make this offense so much more predictable quick pass on the jet motion still on his the 35 got a lot of Running Room running inside the 20 and he takes it all the way they couldn't stop him touchdown game cop you want to talk about a great way to start the game and set the tone early it's so nice to have a quarterback just get himself into the game get himself established you make a couple throws you lead your offense down the field you score right off the bat could not have been a better start for that QB coming out with it it's Scott he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic that they get him on the ground at the 20 the offense set for a first down play Corners are going to bail [Applause] wide out in motion quarterback flips it ahead quickly to the receiver the defense wouldn't let him loose and even though it's in completion they lost yardage Auburn lines up quickly s s back to throw it's Thorne he's right on Target and they pick up just a few on that completion and you see so smart wide receivers so many smart tight ends nowadays that they know where the holes in those zones are and they work with their quarterback and they find them and they sit down in them and make big plays it's tough to sit back in zone against such smart players nowadays and he goes through his hands oh he had an explosive play right there for the taking but couldn't reel it in Auburn's going to have to send out the punt team they'll have to punt for the first time this afternoon he only needs a sliver of daylight he was hoping for a little more Running Room but they're able to get him down at the 45 South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey David they love to do what they did last time and put this one in the end zone you ain't lying they did a great job the offense was clicking everything went well Palmer they executed and got the touchdown and they really were in a nice rhym as well love to see that here on the next drive too just keep doing what you're doing everything seems to be working and you seem to have this defense on their Here and Now on second down for this offense quarterback making adjustments with his receivers he's looking for an open man on second down that's caught it's Sanders crosses the 30 he's got away and he almost ran away from everybody on that one a huge pick up on that play I know it's early in the game but defensively after that play you know you have to tackle the catch when this guy gets the ball in his hands he is so dangerous after the fact so it's okay for him to make catches just got to get him to the ground quickly makes the catch and he's brought down going to work on second down in the red zone is still some ground to cover to pick up that first down out of the gun the running back has it he bullies his way all the way down to the 5 yd line and a nice job by the running back finding space getting downhill making the good run great job finishing with his BS the terrain gets rough this deep in the Red Zone third down they can pick up the first without scoring swings it out to the flat and he'll be marked down but he's got enough to move the chains time winding down in the quarter as they come to the line off play action on first down can't make the grab as he was looking for his man right at the goal line well it's an early down on the one yd line so I think everybody's expecting run they go play action to see if they can catch the defense off guard but they do a good job in the back end with coverage Incomplete Back to throw it's sers that's a five and the pass is incomplete and we've wrapped up one quarter of the they'll try to open this quarter by sticking it in the end zone here turning to the running game here on Third and goal and will Cru into the end zone touchdown game Cs and I love the physicality of this offense it's third and goal it's money time I've got to be more physical than you and that's exactly what this offense just did put the ball on the ground and put it in the end zone and the extra point is good lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown [Applause] drive and he hauls it in and everybody's on the edge of their seats pulled down at the 18 and the decision to bring it out of the end zone was not a good one and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense now we'll get a chance to see if they can answer that last score trailing by 14 Jessie yeah and at this point in the game I feel like offensively you should go back to what's been working for you in this game don't be afraid to dial up plays that you've already had success with running it and throwing it it's okay to repeat plays down 14 at this point and I would also say Palmer kind of understanding that my defense is not playing great so I know offensively I got to put some good possessions together make something happen on this side of the football this offense just has to find a way to find a rhythm here they're playing at home and they want this crowd to stay involved and be an asset in the game but they need to start making plays they can't keep throwing incompletions this early using the back as a receiver on the screen and the defense able to drag him down but not before they'll recycle that down marker there's got to be a sense of urgency for this offense right now they're trailing they're going to be kicking off to open the second half so they need points they need to go Tempo maybe that last first down gets them a little bit of confidence and that will be incomplete man that would have been a big hitter if they could have done it but second down coming really nice job by the defense understand that QB starts to roll out to his right I got to continue to play The Deep pass down the field I can't just run up and try to go tackle him nice coverage down the field was led to the incompletion they want to just keep throwing it looking left and that pass intercepted he'll try to take it back touchdown South Carolina and this defense coming up with points of their own what an interception return look I know it's only the second quarter but we're starting to see a pretty significant Gap develop between these two teams right now no doubt when your defense is scoring your offense is scoring good things happening for your ball Club this defense on point reading their Scouting Report making big plays they're about to kick it away and the defense probably can't wait to get back out there after the pick six bringing it [Applause] back smashes through the tackle oh oh hell no oh hell no who the [ __ ] is this [ __ ] one little mistake in your kick coverage unit against this dude and you are in a world of trouble and they were barely able to keep him from scoring and here's the chance to cut into that lead before halime first and goal they'll try to get it in with the Run he's dropped behind the line first line [Applause] H looking to throw it's Thor those two failed to like got to give the defense a lot of credit man because they've come into this hostile environment they've quieted the crowd down with some of the plays they're making they've got a nice lead right here and they're making it hard for this quarterback to go to work was has to throw for it on Third and goal snags it yeah it to the house touchdown tiger man nice job getting the passing game going this is big man going into half and listen I know you're trailing but building some moment maybe this second half we can keep airing the football out cutting into this deficit and who knows what the heck will happen and the point after is good about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown 3 from inside his own 15 let's see how far he can get nice return there and he'll be dragged down at the [Applause] 34 and the South Carolina offense is back on the field this has been exactly the way you draw things up David the offense has really been moving the football and it's been great execution they've done exactly what they've wanted to do build the lead now Palmer is a different animal now you got to protect you can tell they were paying attention in practice this week in the film room because they have gone out everybody right now on the same page after picking up a couple at second and eight [Applause] he's looking to throw finds his man it's haror little hit drout ni get the ball out of his hands quickly wide receiver quarterback nice job being on the same page nice completion nice catch come to the line at the 42 facing a third and short they'll try to get the first through the air can't make the connection on third down thanks to that tough hardos pass defense and now it's Fourth Down third and short like that on your own side of the field you're just looking for a quick hitter you're trying to get the ball out of your hand quickly but the timing completely off there for the offense and the ball fall this offense is completely confident in their ability to get one yard they'll go for it on fourth down they stop him of the marker and they'll turn it over on down and this offense choose to be aggressive listen once you start getting to Midfield you see most offenses be aggressive and they took their chance and they failed now early in the game a chance to create momentum to swing back to the other side of the football field [Applause] looking to throw it's Thorne makes the grab on the left didn't pick up for just a few well the defense playing Zone coverage there they're taking away all the QB's primary options down the field so he has to check it down to the drag running underneath on second down wants to throw pulls it in it's Hunter across the 25 he's got moved he's R out of bounds but not before turning in a big pick up and moving the sticks for a first down a new set of downs after the completion going up top on first down he'll take a shot throw to the end zone picked off and the Freshman just showed those great ball skills and snatched it right out of the air this is obviously not a great start for this quarterback here two interceptions already in this game he's got to do a much better job with his decision Mak quick touch pass to the receiver shakes off the tackle makes the tackle at the 30 after he picked up 10 quick timeout call by the offense after the play Carolina time dwindling away as they try to put points on the board right before the half he'll come out throwing on first down going downfield for the big play makes the grab inside the 30 touchdown game toop and once he got loose it was all over when these offenses get in Rhythm they're hard to stop already up early got a short field take advantage of it too get another touchdown this offense is doing whatever they want to do and having a lot of success and the extra point is true and the lead balloons to 21 so here comes the kickoff after the touchdown and the last thing you need right before the half is to give up a big return he'll bring it out it's Jackson you're not getting him on the ground still on his feet and the returner is stopped just enough time for one final play of the [Applause] half dropping back it's Thorne pressure coming can't find a receiver and down goes the quarterback a sack to punctuate this first half and the Gamecock will kick it away to crank up the second [Applause] half he'll bring it out it's Jackson slips through the line he's got an alley and there he goes he'll take it to the house touchdown tiger what a way to seize momentum here you start the second half you take the first kick back to the house great blocking and an awesome job in the open field making people miss and showing you the speed on that return wow and with the extra point they Trail by two touchdowns 2814 those opportunities those returns like that can be such game changers and everyone was right on point and he took it to the house fielded In The End Zone it's Russell he's brought down at the 16 would have been much better off to take the Touchback South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey that last Drive really productive David wound up with a touchdown they'll try to do it again yeah so I don't expect this offense to change too much Reese they had a great Drive they got the touchdown everything working I would expect him to keep pushing this ball down snatches it on the right oh look out no one there to stop him except the fell in the strip through the peny flag this one might be coming back damn you're not going to let my sh Rock oh man line getting set on second down dropping back it's sers they're bringing heat and he tries to get away but he cannot he's taken down he'll lose a couple keep bringing the heat like that you can fall in line with the likes of Derek Brown or Nick Fairley man I still remember that Nick Fairley season where he put the the defense on his back cam didn't took care of the offense but he ruled the defense making big plays getting in the back field getting after quarterbacks almost intercepted and what a momentum swing that could have been but they still force a fourth down the Gamecock decide to P it [Applause] away and they'll get him on the ground as the offense comes out to start the next Drive alurn will take over first now here comes that Auburn offense onto the field [Applause] again little touch pass to the receiver makes one man miss let's see what they've got on second [Applause] down he's looking to throw right down the middle tight end getting vertical and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play the Tigers are in the hurry up nice Patience by the quarterback here working against Zone coverage he was allowing his receiver an opportunity to find that open space in the defense before pulling the trigger what a Nifty run there to pick up the first down first down physicality wins football games being able to run the football and create balance and right here just chews up another first down gives you another chance to maybe continue to run the football and I feel like this guy too is just an explosive play waiting to happen his vision his quickness and he's got a burst if you give this guy just a crease he's going to hit it and right now he's doing some damage on this [Applause] [Applause] defense now from inside the Red Zone getting some heat and that's just a flat misfire not even close to his receiver operating in the Red Zone here on second [Applause] down they'll run it from the gun they'll give him a couple that leaves him with third and eight man that D tackle is a freaked athlete did you see him come out of his stance and beat the offensive lineman getting to the running back catlike quickness to throw it's Thorne trying to get to him they'll throw it to the back on the screen and brought down looks as if that's how we'll end the third coach has no choice here the offense has to stay on the field down multiple possessions this late fourth down attempt coming he'll try to throw and pick up the first down and they got him a sack eyes to try to convert on fourth down and now you start to feel desperate because down by multiple scores the clock running out you know two and a half plus minutes left on the clock I got to do everything great now I have no margin for error my defense on this next possession I have to get a three and out I have to force a turnover I have to do out on the right pass to 30 pass to 10 and the defense couldn't Coral him he took it all the way touchdown game CS it's another good decision by the quarterback you've got to be impressed here on that one he finds his tight end but all game long whether it's receivers or running backs or tight ends wherever the best one-on-one matchup has been he's been able to take advantage of it and that's why they've been able to score so many [Applause] points and the extra point splits the upright and they're up a full three touchdowns a 21o cushion in the fourth the kickoff team out there and ready to go and he takes this from inside the five and they'll bring him down to get the offense started on the next drive and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense at Fourth Down gamble didn't pay off on the last drive and it led to giving up a scoring Drive David yeah and everybody wants to go for it on fourth down everybody wants that but your defense sometimes has to bail out your decision making we decided to go for it we didn't get it the defense Jesse didn't come up big and prove me right yeah not complimentary football no doubt but look this offense has been in these situations before so you got to come back out here take the field it's a fresh set of downs brand new Drive let's go out next CU put some points on the board offense took a little bit too much time at the line there the offense lining up for a first down play back to pass it's Thorne feeling some heat hit hard as he released the ball on that first down pass and it never had a chance another hit on the quarterback all day long this defense has been able to pin their ears back and get after this guy and because of that he's never gotten into a rhythm throwing the football and that's why they find themselves trailing here late in the fourth [Applause] quarter an unforced error there they don't get the snap off in time that is a completely avoidable penalty the quarterback just went into brain lock and lost track of the play clock this off has a second down play he's looking to throw he lets one fly deep it's complete a huge pickup and they'll do more than move the chains they'll move that thing more than 30 ydd down the field before he's finally stop and Jesse there's a huge mountain to climb here but you might as well start with a chunk play well you got to start somewhere Reese it's been tough going for this offense all game long they find themselves in a hole but I love the aggressive RVE nature keep taking shots keep trying to claw your way back into this one throws to the wide out finds him man on the left man they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up and the best thing about this the offense can't worry about the scoreboard just keep trying to make plays like that Jesse I know a lot of people in the stadium probably feel like this game is over maybe it's been over for a while or e but don't tell that to this quarterback and his teammates they're still out there scrapping and clawing going for six and it's caught touchdown Tigers nice job by the offense going down the field putting points on the board but you're still down a couple possessions still need some good things to happen you need your kicker to go over there get warmed up we need an onside we need to score some points we need a lot of things to go right to win this football game [Applause] and the extra point is good but they still Trail 3521 quick work on that scoring drive just four plays and they close the deal with the seven Y for the score lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drive from inside his own 15 trying to follow his blockers gets it all the way out to the 33 before he stopped [Music] and the South Carolina offense is back on the field they're in command of this game now let's see if they tried to rub a little salt in the wound or happy with getting the W yeah and listen this this makes the postgame handshake fun sometimes if you do choose to rub a little Sala and keep chucking and keep scoring I'm here for it Jesse like your job is to score points it's my job to stop it keep the foot to the accelerator keep trying to play ball I agree a th% that's like Steve sprayer back in the day when I was playing for the Gator you go for him OPP to throw the ball so when you get in the game late you're not handing it off we were beating Central Michigan by 80 something points he was still letting us throw the football it's the defense's job to stop it after not getting a thing done on first down it's second and long from the 24 and they'll him to the ground after a short gain I never know if it's grammatically correct to say a team is being out physical you hear it a lot in football though that's happening in this game they are just not getting the push they need all game long up front to have any success when they decide to run on Third and long hoping to throw beyond the sticks that pass not close as he got thr trying to deliver it and it'll bring up fourth down he'll try to throw and pick up the first down trying to burn this defensive back and that ball is hauled in inside the 35 and he'll take it in they couldn't get him on the ground touchdown South Carolina salt inter wound right late in the fourth quarter you can run the football run this game out no sir I'm going to continue to pad my stats find my receiver out wide and give me another touchdown he'll try to tack on one more point and the extra point splits the upright and there're up a full three touchdowns a 21 Point cushion in the fourth they're lining up to boot it away [Applause] the returner will field it and try to do some business they drag him down at the 22 he gambled for the big return out of the end zone and came up a little short now here comes that Auburn offense onto the field again it has been a rather forgettable day that's finally coming to a close David yeah it's been an awful day I mean just not not function well on offense defense giving up a lot of reel in on the left side and he's brought down after a huge completion this offensive line does such a good job communicating and the pass protection you can see guys passing Defenders off to one another and that's why the quarterback had so much time to complete that throw deep down field [Applause] off the play fake on first down to throw fires to the right got his Man Down field they'll use the timeout 6 seconds left on the clock one more play to pad the stats defense impress coverage [Applause] [Applause] looks as if they didn't get it off in time it'll be a delay of game there's a difference between being methodical and thorough and slow they were slow and they got the flag and after this play the cake will be B [Applause] to the air it's Thorne now sliding to his left got the back over the middle crisp execution in the passing game and they've got it down to the three we sensed a great deal of confidence almost a smugness from this coaching staff and these guys on the field it's as if they knew they were going to win yeah playing with a bit of a chip on their shoulder and I think they really felt like they had a real good game plan offensively and defensively coming into this one David there was some matchups on
