THOUGH. THOSE DETAILS COMING UP. THANK YOU EMILY. LET'S GET UP TO EVANSTON NOW NATE ROGERS WITH THE STORM DAMAGE THERE. YEAH NATE. BIG TREES COMING DOWN THERE TONIGHT. ABSOLUTELY. SCOTT AND DON GOOD EVENING TO THE BOTH OF YOU. I GOT TO TELL YOU, IT TRULY IS A SIGHT HERE. I'M STANDING NOT EVEN TWO BLOCKS FROM NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, AND RAFAEL VARELA IS GOING TO PAN OUR CAMERA UP JUST SO YOU ALL CAN SEE THE SIZE OF THIS TREE, WHICH RIGHT NOW, GUYS, HAS SNAPPED IN HALF ONE PORTION OF A TREE FALLING INTO THE HOMEOWNER'S YARD, THE OTHER BLOCKING THE STREET HERE, PREVENTING RESIDENTS FROM THE ABILITY TO PASS THROUGH. NOW REALLY, THE HOMEOWNERS REALLY ARE LUCKY AS THE TREE DID NOT FALL ON THEIR HOUSE OR APPEAR TO DAMAGE ANY VEHICLES. WE'RE ALSO SEEING MORE TREES DOWN ON SHERIDAN AND CHURCH STREET. THE GOOD NEWS WE HAVEN'T HEARD OF ANY INJURIES AND A FEW OF THE NEIGHBORS WE SPOKE TO SAY THEIR POWER IS ON, SO NO DISRUPTION IN SERVICE. WE SPOKE TO A COUPLE OF FOLKS OFF CAMERA WHEN WE ARRIVED THAT SAID IT WAS A PRETTY WARM DAY AS WE ALL KNOW, BUT THEN THERE WAS A LOT OF RAIN AND FOLLOWING ALL OF THAT RAIN, THAT'S WHEN THEY JUST START HEARING SO MANY TREES SNAP AND FALL IN THE AREA AGAIN. WE WALKED ON MAYBE 3 OR 4 BLOCKS NEARBY AND WE'VE SEEN MULTIPLE TREES DOWN NEAR NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, AGAIN BLOCKING SIDE STREETS. NOW WE ARE SEEING MORE AND MORE NOW NEIGHBORS COME OUT OF THEIR HOMES TO TRY TO SURVEY THE DAMAGE. A COUPLE OF BLOCKS OVER, WE ALSO SAW A FIRE TRUCK, SOME EMS OFFICIALS OUT AND ABOUT AS WELL, SURVEYING THE DAMAGE. EVERYONE THAT WE SPOKE TO AGAIN, PEOPLE OUT WALKING THEIR DOGS, THE MAJORITY, EVERYONE THAT WE SPOKE TO SAID THEY HAVE NOT HAD ANY POWER OUTAGES. THERE WERE NO THERE WAS ONE GUY WHO A TREE DID FALL ON HIS CAR ON ALONG SHERIDAN ROAD THAT WE SAW. HE WAS TALKING TO POLICE, BUT HE WAS NOT INJURED IN ANY OF THIS. AGAIN, AUTHORITIES RIGHT NOW SURVEYING THE DAMAGE. AND AS WE'RE BACK OUT HERE LIVE, WE ARE SEEING STARTING TO SEE MORE NEIGHBORS COMING TO THE AREA AS WELL. BUT AGAIN, EVERYONE THAT WE SPOKE TO SAY THEY APPEAR TO BE OKAY. OF COURSE, WE'LL CONTINUE TO MONITOR
