[Music] Lexus presents tennis on Sky Sports pan oh my goodness extraordinary atmosphere what a match I couldn't quite tell if you were crying or laughing at the end of that what on Earth is your reaction to that um yeah I haven't played a a bunch of tennis this year it's uh I just tried to keep fighting um yeah for love I thought I was out and um yeah yeah I felt a little sorry for myself and then was trying to get myself going and I didn't want to go out another slam you know with with not much fight and you know with a whimper after I I don't even know how long the match was but um 5 hours 35 done yeah I and I could see he was struggling a bit and um yeah and I played just I tried to just grab a game at a time my serve was obviously really really really bad like cuz of my body um yeah I've got a just got a bad headache now and just got to get rid of that well physically that must have been absolutely exhausting we know you haven't played much tennis we talked about it a couple of days ago you said you'd written this year off effectively physic say that horrible year um yeah I I knew that I hadn't and and I've put the work in but not enough because of just being a bit hurt and obviously you know coming out here I come out late as well and um I just think maybe I got a bit of look at the end with him hurting and uh and me get me feeling a bit you know you obviously feel a bit better when you're getting on top and I nearly blew it at the end but uh no I'm I'm I'm I'm really happy it was uh yeah it was a hell of a match and yeah I just want to want to go to bed person well I just give one more question then personal history obviously to 5 hours 35 this is also the longest match in US Open history fall and the crowd here as well were just everybody was trying to get into this match what difference did that make to you yeah it was amazing at you know at 42 I think it really started to get going it was uh they sort of sensed it and they I I don't know know how many British people are here but seemed like the whole place wanted me to win I don't think that's ever happened before uh but yeah it was um no it really helped cuz he he felt them and and then I actually played pretty good great last point and um and he was yeah yeah well congratulations absolutely extraordinary match looking forward to seeing you I'll let you go and lie down thanks so much
