Michigan gets BRUTALLY HONEST Truth on Sherrone Moore's First Season

what's up college football addicts today we are talking about our defending national champs today we're breaking down Michigan's schedule and I'm giving you the Insight on how you should bet your money in our um preview which is presented by bet us now migan has a tough road to Ho as number one they are going to get everyone's very best shot not that they would normally get that but also this year because they are the defending national champions and people will certainly want to take their very best shot at the title Champs that's not the only reason though Michigan lost a ton to the NFL draft and lost their quarterback which is most important to the pros can they rebound can they find a way to overcome the odds and get back to the college football playoff they start out with a couple of games that they should win and a couple of games that are going to be a lot tougher in their first four let's take a look at the schedule Fresno State's probably a pretty easy win you got to like Michigan at home there a tuneup game before they welcome in Texas the biggest game of week two in my opinion this is probably where game day will be unless they kind of avoid it because of the big noon kickoff for Fox but I think this one's going to be massive and a game that everyone is going to want to see um you know Tex is going to the SEC and then having to play on the road Ro at Michigan in the same year I don't know that that was ever thought of as a possibility when this schedule was was made but uh a big one for Michigan and I think this one's interesting if you've watched our Texas breakdown you already kind of know what's gone on here and how I've picked it but if you haven't I maybe I'll tease just a little bit I think Michigan's going to be told that they have no chance in this game this is Texas is a win everybody's super excited about Texas going in and competing for the SEC in year one and everyone's forgetting about Michigan it's Ohio State and it's Oregon's conference now and and I we don't think that Michigan's going to be able to hold it up and I think that's going to fester and I think that's going to be in their ears and in their minds for a very long time and I think it's going to be an advantage for Michigan I think they're going to be able to play the underdog card even though they're still a very very good team a top 10 team in the country they've recruited like it they they're going to coach like it are there any kind of you know extr things or external things that could come in an impact with investigations or the NCAA I don't know pending any of that I think that Michigan beats Texas they in the big house to start the year and Texas takes a loss before they ever even get to SEC play this is a huge win for shiron Moore this is a huge win for the program and it kind of solidifies like hey yeah last year wasn't just some flash in the pan we're we're back right and we're going to continue to be really good now this is not going to be an easy win and I'm probably going out on a little bit of a ledge telling you that Michigan's going to win against Texas in week two but I truly do think that they can get it done and I think once you get to to that game you're going to see why Michigan's still really good in the trenches Texas still good in the trenches as well but just not on the same level as Michigan in my opinion especially on the offensive line I think Texas was a little inconsistent last year certainly played well against an Alabama team that wasn't very good at the beginning of the year and then they played well at the end when they played Oklahoma State but they had some losses that would have been or some games that would have been losses had they already been in the SEC or been playing better competition and so Texas I need to see more from you before I pick you but I like Michigan win this and then I like him to win the next game too of course Arkansas State I don't think that that's a a super tough one I think that's one they kind of blow through and and get a lot of backups some some work USC at home this is a big one Southern Cal coming to the conference and I I really need I said I need to see it from Texas I need to see it from Southern Cal a new addition to the Big 10 I don't think they're going to be physical enough um certainly starting out I think they've got a lot of Playmakers they got a lot of talent this game being early in the year could help them but having to go up to Michigan is a big deal I don't think USC can get this game done and now if they are just guns blazing and guns firing and can score like crazy on Michigan then maybe they can get it done but USC you know the way that Michigan shut down um Washington's offense last year and and really limited them I I think that you're going to see kind of a mirror image here and I don't think USC's offense as good as Washington's was maybe Michigan's lost some pieces and their defense isn't quite the same but I think Michigan gets the win here then I think they've got a couple more wins in store we we've got them starting out 4-0 but Minnesota I think that's a win for Michigan at Washington I think that's kind of a program maybe going to the West Coast could be a little bit tricky but that's a program that certainly certainly um is has been decimated by a coach leing in the portal and everything else and and I think that they'll be back soon enough but I don't think Washington's going to be nearly as good I think they go on the road beat Washington go on the road beat Illinois and then I think they you know in a rivalry match up they get the win against Michigan State as well you know you you look at that and you say wow you're really predicting them to start 80 yes I am now they've got a tough stretch up coming but I think they start the season at 8-0 really really tough stretch up coming here before I go into what that looks like for the Wolverines Let me Give a Little be a blizzard in Michigan but if the weather is bad that's not something that I think impacts Oregon very much I also think that when you look at the talent and you look at the quarterback position especially Oregon's got a pretty big Advantage here and I've picked Oregon to do very well if you watch the Oregon preview you already know how I'm picking this one but I think this is where Michigan gets their first loss of the Year this is probably a top five matchup if Michigan's eight and0 or even if they're seven and one this is going to be certainly a top 10 matchup but there's a chance this could be a top five matchup with Oregon getting the win a really good win for their resume but not a detrimental loss to Michigan by any means Michigan gets right back up again and wins their next two games against both Indiana and Northwestern getting both those games at home I I think you know you I think you even have a buy sandwiched in between there and that's a big deal you get those two wins you get to your 10- win season your 10 and one and you've got everything to play for in that Ohio State game and Michigan many times has played spoiler in that Ohio State game and Ohio State's many times played spoiler for Michigan when when they had a lot going on and I think you're going to have two 10 and one teams playing each other in the game the biggest game of the year both teams having lost to Oregon so Oregon having the the the conference title game invitation the you know the spot in the title game locked up uh and the winner here goes to get a rematch with Oregon Michigan at Ohio State both teams 10 and one what more could you want it all seems to come down to this game and it does one more time I think Michigan has a great chance in this game I'm certainly not going to tell you I think Ohio State blows him out or anything like that but I just don't know if they have enough talent to keep up with Ohio State I I think Ohio state has better weapons I think they have the edge in the quarterback battle I think the game being at home is a little bit of an advantage for Ohio State as well this one is going to be close but I like Ohio State to get the win and that drops Michigan down to 10- two the good news for Michigan those two losses against top five teams and you won some big games as well you beat Texas you beat some other teams that were good and ranked so maybe 10 and two is enough to sneak or backo your way into the playoffs not a guarantee but certainly think that Michigan with their cache the way that the committee is going to want to put teams with big followings and teams with uh you know a lot of swagger on and in the playoff is going to be a big deal you think about who else might be highly ranked in the Big 10 when we get there well I don't necessarily know how many teams would be 10- two with two top five losses in the Big 10 and so if you think about it the SEC is probably going to get four or five teams in the ACC is going to get one or two the Big 12 probably just W the group of five1 and then you've got the big 10 you fill out the rest of that with the big 10 based on who the ACC Champion is how the big 12 Works itself out how many SEC teams are highly ranked will all matter in Michigan potentially sneaking into the playoffs now they just win one of those games I was telling you about they can control their own destiny and I think 11- one gets them in especially if they go to the conference Championship whether they win or lose that they'll be in I think at 11-1 or 11-2 or 12-1 obviously they'd have the auto bid but 10 and two is more of a question right now I'd have them sneaking in I think at 10- two with two top five losses they can keep those games close and respectable which I think they will they'll sneak into the playoffs but not a guarantee Mich fans I know what your expectations are I know that 10 and two is not good enough but I'd love to hear your thoughts down in the comments don't rip me a new one
