Ep. 29 Mocs vs FSU | NFL Schedule Release | CFB Week 1 preview with Max Chadwick

I get a screen share we got the screen oh we oh wait got it came in yeah I I wonder I don't know if they needed like I was like is it third time so maybe all right welcome to chat it up me and Joseph Guthrie we'll get to interview the one and only Max Chadwick but live from Tallahasse Florida at the NCAA softballs regionals Greg leard baby how's it going down there in Tallahassee UTC mock ready to roll today happy Feelgood Friday everybody Greg lard you are you ready to win a championship my friend I'm ready to win just a game I want to win one game at a time I'm I'm a classic coach now I gotta like you know give the Old Coach beat one one game at a time we got to can't worry about the other ones until we win the first one but no man I'm so glad to be joining you guys good old Tallahasse Florida it's h it's good down here um you know the storms that blow through here last week have really caused some Havoc we were like back and forth between like two different hotels three different times we weren't sure if they were going to have rooms available for us here but we got it all situated they have a great setup here at the Marriott and um ready to go kick some seminal ass I'll tell you that we practiced on Joan Gaff field today yeah it was it was good man I'll tell you what that stadium that they have out out there the Florida State athletic facilities pretty fre I was gon to ask how is it down there well I've never been oh dude the football stadium I didn't get a chance to go in there but we drove by it as we're going on campus and obviously all there uh their athletic facilities are all right around each other and the football stadium I didn't even realize it was a football stadium the outside of it looks like a freaking just regular old building like it looks so nice so cool uh they have a nice you're good BB screwed me up where they goic I love it I appreciate it yeah look at Joseph the producer just running things and freaking me out this is why I've never been on this side of things before you gota warn me before you just throw me on the screen I'm like did I drop him again did I lose them I like talking to you guys I like seeing you guys but no it's all good I know I know well I mean shoot yeah it's some PTSD after the first stream we tried to jump into where you know you had to jump out and we had to create a new one but no it's the baseball stadium is really nice allegedly like they allegedly they lost like right field like the wall and the baseball stadium through the storms uh the softball field I don't think was affected by it the softball field is absolutely gorgeous Joan graph field like I mentioned it's a great spot they've got like covered cages with all turfed out covered bullpens they got a covered like indoor it's not an indoor but it's like um it's like a little infields turfed out area above the cages they've got a bunch of standing room only seats that looks like you're just like at like a beach bar or something like that just like all wooded out area where people can stand and watch the games and this is a team in Florida state that won a national championship in 2018 and they won a couple back in the 80s as well it's just going to be an honor and a p privilege boys to to play on this field and and go up against another team that has 40 plus wins much like the Chattanooga MOX seminal 43 and 14 we are 42 and it's gonna be fun it's us obviously Florida State the one versus the four with the four seed The Underdogs will take it Joseph I know you looked that that one's for you and uh then we've got UCF and Auburn as well competing in the regional they'll be on ESPNU before us and then we're on the ACC Network and ESPN plus so excited to get this thing going here today fellas later today at about 4:35 first pitch I cannot wait that's that's so awesome our boy's gonna be on the ACC Network and then ESPNU and then next week on ESPN ESPN 2 well I won't be on ESPN and then hold up Championship Championship love it um so how we looking down there what what are we talking about in our first opponent against Florida State know you got a little research done this week is we've done some previewing you and I have chitchat just a tiny bit but let the people know what we got to look forward to against Florida State well Florida State they are a heavy hitting team but before I get to the hitters let's talk a little bit about what they're throwing out in the circle I I don't know this to be fact but if I'm going off their numbers and this is really just this is always an interesting strategy whenever you watch these regionals because you have the one versus the four baseball it's probably a little bit more prevalent than it is with softball because softball as we talked about the pitchers they can go back toback days they can go back toback games even we saw saw uh P paa Gould our Ace uh starting out there she threw 177 pitches last last last weekend like we talked about on the last show on Monday uh she pitched back-to-back games and it was an incredible performance uh that's kind of the nature of softball but it's always interesting because it's like oh do we save like our best do we throw like our number two against this team who's number four like I hope that mean we kind of come off on assuming a little bit but you know when you have 40 plus wins it's hard to kind of come off a little unassuming so I would assume that they're going to throw Ashton Danley at us who seems to be their Ace she's got a little over three erra they have a couple of pitchers with mid3 erra so their staff I mean I get it I know they play in the ACC it's more daunting than than the Southern Conference and the opponents are better but they don't have anybody that's absolutely absolutely like sparkling er er wise who's got a bunch of strikeouts with throws a bunch of Heats like Montana FS back in 2022 for Alabama this Chad Mo team had to face and they had they didn't throw Montana Fouts at them first game and then Chattanooga kind of had him on the ropes a little bit then they brought man Montana Fouts in and you know that was kind of the rest was history but they don't have anybody on this team that I've seen that I've scouted that really goes out there and is going to blow you away with 70 plus M hour heat it's uh danley's kind of a you know more of a movement pitcher and it's kind of like paa G but but G gets more strikeouts than than Danley does she's a girl that is going to be predicated on moving the pitches kind of changing speeds trying to induce weak contact again she's got a little over a three er with 16 and five as a record um she's thrown three complete complete game she's got a couple of saves in there so she's come out of the bullpen and pitched pretty well so we assume that going to face her and our hitters are going to have to really be on their p's and q's because obviously the other team in Florida state has our scouting report and they're going to have you know what we do well what we don't do well and so our jobs as coaches is to propel prepare them hey look this is how opposing teams are working you this is what you need to look for and you know it's with specific girls like some girls struggle laying off a rise ball so there's a couple within our lineup that do that and we have to be better and more disciplined about not doing those things and not swinging at those pitches and if you can do that and say you know for example our number three hitter a lot of opposing teams have been working her away away away away you know you have to just at one point just kind of get on the plate and look for that and just be ready to let that ball travel a little bit and and try to hit it up the middle or to right field and and just kind of go with it and show them that you can hit that pitch otherwise they're going to continue to throw it there because it continues to get you out or at least induces weak contact now where the issue may be here and this is going to be a tall task for Paia G our our number one pitcher and she's going to be our in the circle for us is they've got one two three four five six seven eight batters that are hitting over 300 and their leading hitter uh Jani B beum is hitting 436 she's GNA be an absolute problem she's got 15 home runs she's smoked 11 doubles she's got 64 RBIs like she is somebody that you circle with red marker and say hey this is a girl I don't care whom else beats us but this is a girl who you cannot let beat you and normally you would sit there and be you know obviously very scared of a a hitter like this they have a couple of other girls um Michaela enfields uh she's hit 14 home runs you've got another girl in and Kaylee Harding who's hit 14 as well she's got 60 RBI like they've got some big hitters in this lineup but what gives me confidence going going into this is and again I get it it's ACC competition and it's you know it's you know potentially better players than the Southern Conference and and whatnot but we have faced some really good hitters within the Southern Conference you know average wise and things like that and by and large we've been able to to kind of hold them at Bay like we faced a girl I believe her name her last name was hedgcock from Mercer or somebody along those lines I think it was Mercer and she had like 17 home runs middle of the Season she was smoking the ball and didn't do anything against us Brooklyn Maxwell for UNCG last weekend in the tournament we faced them three times she really didn't hurt us at all she had like one hit against us in three games she was the Southern Conference player of the year or or player yeah Player of the Year position player of the year so you know I feel pretty good about our plan going into this game of how we want to work opposing batters and keeping them off balance and you know what paa G does really well as she moves the ball that her nickname is sort of the Spin Master so she's going to keep those opposing batters off balance and the one big X fact that you don't really know about until you get into the game is going to be how the Umpire Strike Zone's going to be that's going to be something in this game if you're watching it to kind of watch out for I think potentially for both of these pitchers that seem to like to move the ball a little bit and how the strike zone is and how consistent the home plate umpire is going to be and things like that too so there's a lot to go into it it's going to be a very difficult task obviously um for anybody coming out of a regional but we are one of the higher four seeds and I like like our chances really like this squad uh it just feels like we got something special here and and my motto this week has been crash the party let's crash the party love that beautiful hopefully the girls can uh can come through and uh knock out Florida State and then wake their way out of the regional and into a Super Regional and eventually now we got to go to Oklahoma after that that's that's going to be difficult oh yeah it's be all right it's G be all you take your shot yeah we do have some weather coming in down here uh rain potentially over the weekend so that's going to be a factor at some way shape or form whether it helps us or hurts us I don't know it's again it's sort of a war of attrition you know with baseball or softball there's no time limit time limit on this thing so it's who can best deal with the elements and I think a lot of this will come down to hey let's not beat ourselves if we can play our best softball game we have a chance to hang with and not only hang with but beat Florida State as well so you know I really like our girls there's a lot of um there's a lot of seniors and and and juniors in this lineup that that have a lot of experience and girls that have played in big moments before and they've really prepared well for this moment so I'm excited to see what they have in this moment and I'm going to be there to support them do what whatever I can to try to help but it's up to them at this point and um man I can't I'm just excited to get going I can't wait to play tonight that would be awesome dude uh speaking of playing T not looks like your New York Knicks are going to be playing ton not to potentially knock off the Indiana Pacers I did H after OG went down you and I you said at the best you're like without OG I don't know how this happens but them Nova boys the Nova Nicks have carried you through and inside MSG it was I hate to say it was kind of awesome to watch brunson's that dog and they diced them up the you hate to say it I hate to say it because I I wasn't like I was like ah this could be I've seen the can't believe this team's gonna make it I can't I guess I'll say it for you and for me I was like I can't believe team's gonna make it to the Eastern Conference Finals like this is kind of a joke but it looks like it's going to be by far the best matchup and especially after OG went down I was like dog this team like we're losing everybody you're you got Brunson and a bunch of bros but now in per is reeling my friend how you feeling right now going into Indiana well you mentioned the Nova Knicks I don't want you to forget about my man Isaiah hartenstein as well product of Houston and um that man was an absolute Terror there is not many times in which you see within a basketball game a man has more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds and this was not even by a close margin 12 offensive rebounds in game what was that game five uh to five defensive rebounds 17 rebounds overall I mean that dude is balling and look I know Brunson took 35 shots to get 44 points I get it he takes a lot of shots but at the same time when Dante dienzo is not shooting the ball well Josh Hart he'll get to the basket he'll do you know he'll put up his shots that I like the um the insertion there of miles McBride just kind of trying something different there and and inserting him into the starting lineup you know whatever it can't hurt give it a shot couple smaller guards Four Guys under six4 I know I know hey it ended up working I mean this team just is predicated off of grit and energy and toughness and and all that stuff that you want all those other adjectives that you want to throw out there and I feel I feel like this game the Knicks are not going to win game six but they'll come back and they'll win game seven Madison Square Garden and that'll send us into the Eastern Conference Finals to win one game against the Boston Celtics so you know it's been a fun ride they're going to make it through at this point I'm I'm feeling more confident about it I don't know exactly where OG is but when this team can outrebound the Pacers the way that they can and get extra chances if they're going to be able to do this they'll win the series if the Pacers can sort of I guess even out that situation in terms of the rebounds and and limit the Knick's Second Chance points like because that's the only way the Knicks are going to win this series if they can continue to get those offensive rebounds and get those Second Chance points like that that is their key and their recipe for success is getting those extra possessions and Isaiah hartenstein they've talked about on the broadcast from in game five of this man's earned himself a pretty nice sizable contract he's probably earned some himself some money because he was not the starting center coming into the season it was Mitch Rob and then Mitch Rob goes down for most of the year then he gets an opportunity and he shines and he's gritty and he's tough and he's you know sort of that New York character and and he's not afraid to stand up to anybody and you know he's not going to go out there and he doesn't need to score 20 points a night but he'll just do the Dirty Work get those offensive rebounds and keep it pushing you know he also is a good willing passer he's not joic but he's a good willing passer he's like a bootleg joic to you know to a certain degree sometimes where he can distribute the basketball he'll rebound and he can get those little Lefty push shots up every once in a while as well so really like this this makeup of of this team they're not going to get past the Celtics if they make it past the Pacers here but I think they'll win this in seven I don't think they'll win tonight I think the Pacers will find a way to to to fight back but the Knicks should win this series they are in my eyes the better team yeah even after all the injury just still feels like they're the better team and they'll be a better match up for Boston um just don't think Indiana can defend like them but that's fun one and I'm gonna be honest everybody we're not staying up late enough to do the the Timberwolves and Nuggets I wish we could we're not doing it so go find a great pod to listen to on that one sorry about that folks uh but what we did stay up for last night was the NFL schedule release how did you feel and what was your favorite one that you've seen so far oh dude I'm gonna be honest with you I uh I haven't really wa watched through all of them I've been really entrenched with the softball and everything like that so I haven't really gone through and watched all the schedule releases but obviously the Titans going back to Broadway and grabbing the red hot red stallion girl uh to do the schedule release it wasn't as funny as it was last year I thought last year's was funnier but when you get an opportunity to have her on there and uh go back to Broadway to do that I love the recall and the other one that I did see that I liked was the and I didn't get a chance to watch the entire thing I I had it on Instagram and then something happened I had to you know close the phone down and then went back to it and I couldn't find it but um I need to look this up is the Sims was it a Sims one the Chargers did Los Angeles Chargers yeah yeah right yeah yeah was Chargers it was the Chargers you losing okay yeah that one was pretty funny I saw no I got you guys okay audio is just okay gotcha we good yeah you're good you're good go yeah I think it's just a little delayed here you know with the hotel internet and yeah the hotel internet and all that it it is kind of is what it is but I got to go back and I got to re watch oh crap we're probably gonna you GNA make it you good Fuster that bad boy oh no we lost him uh yeah there's there's probably a couple he needs to go back and rewatch yeah you should definitely go back and watch the Falcons one uh I I wasn't crazy about the Dolphins one because it was just kind of like they're like the fastest schedule from the fastest team and it just zoomed up the screen I was like was like I get what you're going for but miss they missed that was that was put together last minute yeah that was a that was a guys we got to get something out everybody else is making this a thing so the the Titans had a layup I will say that Titans had a layup on that one yeah just had to go back uh we're getting the computer just died on Greg o so this is this is getting late here buddy it's getting late Greg we're old we're pushing the bet I'm already 15 minutes past my bedtime exactly we're it's too late so what when we're getting back to Greg but um I do want to talk Titans real quick go ahead I put on the Facebooks today yeah I absolutely love that we get to be the first the first game in the Caleb Williams experience the first team in the Caleb Williams experiment experience I'm GNA go experience experience experience I don't think it's an experiment I think he's goingon to be really good but I'm glad we're getting this bastard early because man is he GNA be good he I think so yeah I he set up for he set up for greatness not set up for great he set up to be pretty dang good early greatness is a strong word I shouldn't say greatness he gonna get delt on week one now I'll say that he's going to get DED on by Will Lis that's right I I want to I agree with you I do that I think Caleb has the potential for greatness I just don't I don't think we're going to see it under Matt abber no that's where my that's where my hesitations lie as far as jumping on the Caleb train because I mean at this point the Bears have no excuse if this doesn't like if this doesn't work and they get rid of Eber flu I personally I think they should go after the Lions OC his name has left me I I I was I was under the assumption that he was a shoe in for a head coaching job last year and he was like no I'm coming back and they're like oh sweet we're so the lions are going to stay the Lions we're going to do this thing um that's who I would go with because I just I don't have any faith that Matt EO is gonna is gonna sew this thing together I think you'll see moments from Caleb this year and you'll be like oh man you know this team could be could be good but I just don't have I just don't have the faith in e loose to kind of button it all up together and it be like yeah this is what this is what so I think it's a huge I think it's a huge opportunity for the Titans to take advantage and and get a win versus Caleb early uh and then that second game lurking man Aaron rers yeah the also yeah that's another part is you get Rogers you get love you get you get Tua and that whole company you get uh AR-15 yeah man and you get then you get Josh Allen then you get now the highest paid Detroit line of all time and Jared gof you get Drake May then you get Justin Herbert so yeah you have basically you have the top you you the Titans play this year yeah they play the top three guys draft in the NFL draft yep you get all three of them could you get the commanders later on in the year you do you have basically the two big young studs from last year who became what really do feel like top I'm just going to be on the safe side I think they probably hire top 10 quarterbacks in strad and love with Packers and T and Texans then you play like I said you play Allen you play uh would you slot Herbert in the top two not right now I can't say it right now but then you get but you get like namesake so I'm going to put Herbert in there for namesake only like you're getting Herbert you're getting Rogers off an Achilles but Hey listen all this Wasa and whatever else is helping him out there he's G be just fine but there's so many good quarterbacks because plus you got burrow plus you got maybe you might have burrow you might it's week 15 it's super late so yeah is burrow gonna still is burrow I mean and I don't I don't mean to say it and I don't mean to be that guy I don't want it to happen I think the League's better when Joey B's playing but is he going to be available in I mean he's had one season where he's made it the entire year and they made the Super Bowl yep that was it every other season he's had some kind of injury cut him short so the quarterback battle is stacked the League's kind of getting stacked in quarterbacks it's unbelievable because me we don't even know what AR15 look we don't even know what Richardson's gonna look like can I be a hater no I was I'm still pretty a big hater on him I I I think so what in between um before setting up for the show I was scrolling Twitter and somebody who's college football NS actually tweeted out and they were like so what's a player that you were wrong about and I'm I'm waiting to reserve mine because I don't think Anthony Richardson's gonna be all that because I don't think he was all that at Florida and I don't know if that was Napier I don't know if that was Billy Napier or if that was Anthony Richardson but I'm just I'm very reserved on Anthony leaning more towards he's not going to be that dude yeah well with Richardson 2 here's what here's kind of my thought too I I think he's going to be so athletic and so fun per like Justin Fields but when you watch his actual passing game I don't think it's gonna be wonderful he's not gonna have the he's not GNA be able to fit in the Tight Windows yeah the athleticism is going to almost overtake the actual talent and I don't know if you're going to get a lot of touchdowns you'll get a lot of rushing touchdowns you saw that his first games he played you're gonna get a rushing touchdown you're gonna get a passing touchdown what feels like every game for him so you're going to get a lot of this hypee from extra stats but I just don't know I mean he's not a very accurate quarterback and that wide receiving crew is fine up there I think they're pretty pretty decent wide receiver crew not great I think I think they're a little a little slept on nothing crazy but I mean I think they're just a little because I think Josh DS is turning out to be much better than we thought he was going to be well for some of you lza didn't think he was going to be good listen Josh watching Josh at North Carolina I was like oh man this guy's good I did not expect him to and I don't know I guess I should have knowing what his brother is as well I guess it runs in the family his parents were athletes so it's like it makes sense that this guyy is balling but I did not expect him to be near what he is for the Colts now and they got that Michael Pitman Jr and now they picked up ad Mitchell so they've got a full well-rounded receiving cord around AR-15 they signed Jonathan Taylor so they're solid at running back solid o line I mean they have every reason they should be completely serviceable on off offense but can AR stay healthy that's true if the health is a big part of it but also with him I don't think it's this year he will have gosh Josh Allen like ruined it for everybody because it's like well give him a couple years yeah and maybe it is maybe he is that like it could be the exact same formula I just don't think it's GNA be great this year yeah no I no I I I can see that is it speaking of Josh Allen is it coming for Josh it is his injury CU he it hasn't happened it is and this team this team without Diggs you're going to have to do a lot more yeah I don't think Keon Coleman's going to be as plug andplay no as they think I think he'll be good I don't think he'll be as I don't think he'll replace dicks I think he'll be a solid weapon but I still think they'll be lacking in terms of like a a true deep threat yeah he's gonna Coleman's going to get volume yeah so the stats will be there but I'm with you it's it it won't be the same Stephon digs it well we we just got done talking about the Titans schedule um we will be playing one another on September 22nd at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard time I don't know if I'll be able to go to that one but I'll will try my best buddy you got something big happening around that time uh yes yes we uh we are with child of course so I don't know if this old girl dad is gonna be able to make it the potential is there yeah there we go he's got the girl hat the girl dad hat on that's right baby hat game strong today for all of us yeah everybody with a hat dude yeah so this Nike hat my life I am I'm excited to have the Titans I'm excited to go to na Nashville this year to see the the P the Packers play the Titans in week three I have never been to Nissan Stadium to see a Titans game so this will be something that'll be interesting something that will be new I saw the vs play Purdue there in the Music City Bowl a couple years back uh but I'm looking forward to hopefully I mean unless you're having your child at that point and and I want to be there for the birth of your child with y'all to celebrate and whatnot if if little uh the girl is on her way then maybe we delay that trip or that trip just doesn't happen but you know we'll see what happens and Packers Titans week three I couldn't be more excited I don't know if you guys saw the schedule release from the Packers I thought it was the stupidest thing I've ever seen I didn't get it whatsoever it was bad it was very bad uh they threw big cat in there which that was interesting but it kind of sucked yeah because he's a big Bears fan but it was ter terrible I you never bring peanut butter to jelly fight though that's that's what I found out oh gosh that was tough to watch man that's bad uh real quick on that I mean you are one of the hot teams that's definitely going to get picked Super Bowl how you feeling I know it's schedule release you already knew the teams but how you feeling so far on what it looks like in the future if you've gotten to look at it too much I love it man we've got a bunch of Prime Time games people were sort of nervous about what exactly the Packers would look like with Jordan love taking over and you know we had that what like that eight game stretch where he had 18 touchdowns to just one interception and not too many guys have done that their NFL career so pretty big for Jordan love I mean we opened right out the gate with the Eagles in prime time that's going to be huge on September 6 obviously we go to Nashville that's going to be fun we got to go to Los Angeles Rams that's never easy to go across country uh but then there's a stretch there at the end towards the end of the season I believe it's weeks 13 through 16 where we've got four straight Prime Time games it starts with the dolphins on Thanksgiving night at uh 820 against the Dolphins now we got two prime time Roe games against the Lions and then the Seahawks and then come back for Monday night football against the Saints I'm excited about it I I think this is a really good young team and I think there's a lot of reason for this team to not only be considered I I know the Lions they just paid Jared Goff a whole lot of money um they should be the favorites going into this season for the NFC North I don't care what the Lions did last year going to the NFC Championship get this that this that the other thing Jordan love is a more Dynamic quarterback then Jared gof the weapons are young the weapons are still sort of unproven I'm really excited to see what happens with Josh Jacobs and how he's Incorporated within this offense it's going to be a battle there at top of the division between the Packers and the bear or excuse me the Packers and the Lions the Packers and the Bears yeah right Packers and the Lions all year long again this schedule is what it is we'll see how the Eagles kind of rebound off to their weird year last year the Rams are always going to be tough I'm not really scared of Kyler Murray and the Cardinals coming to Lambo field the Texans going to be tough I'm glad we have them in at Lambo don't mind going to Jacksonville and playing the Jags nothing wrong with that got the 49ers at home that'll be great don't have to go out to Santa Clara and the big Levi jean out there in in San Francisco and then obviously like we talked about a little bit with the dolphins there on Thanksgiving again you have them at Lambo field in November so I feel good about that one I think the schedule works out pretty nicely and I think there's going to be a lot of people and there's going to be a lot of eyes on the Green Bay Packers this year and for good reason they've got a good squad and I really like Halle their their defensive coordinator ready to see what this defense can do just kind of unleash different things and just kind of get a new vision in there after Joe Barry was just pretty mediocre the last couple of season so good young defense Jordan love is continuing the ball I'm excited to see how these young wide receivers kind of take that next step as well within this offense Matt laflor and I've had some people kind of like talk to me since they know I'm big a big Packers Fan about Matt laflor and I don't know if he's really the you know the best coach and do you think he's that you know that guy and can he be the the coach of the Packers through success and after what I saw last year I truly believe it because when it was with a Aon roders it was hey this is Matt's offense but Aaron and him are gonna kind of come together and put their own separate stamps on it and they'll kind of like do a little remix version of what the offense should look like but once Jordan love was entrenched within this offense he's a year under his belt now fully of the starter he's had a lot of success and you saw it towards the end of the season last year getting to the divisional round and almost upsetting the 49ers probably should have if andrees Carlson could have hit a field goal but that's neither here nor there I promise you I'm over it and uh I'm really excited to see where where this offense goes under Matt laflor and again a lot of young weapons Josh Jacobs I miss Aaron Jones I hate that he went to the Vikings but uh yeah it it's it's going to be really good I'm I'm pumped to see what this Packers team can do and again I little bit so I'm happy you guys actually like it or you making fun of me a little bit I am a I I am a full-on proponent of the long hair like as a I do I'm doing the long hair short side shorts back I'm trying to do that and see how that looks um all right I appreciate that first of all the lacrosse thing is pretty funny too because uh my U my second cousin actually John trone shout out John uh he was an All-American uh Fogo at lyola uh way back and yeah he's really really good and it's funny because the year after he left the year after he graduated they won the National Championship so he's really uh he was really pissed about that that he didn't get to win the national title at Loyola but uh yeah I got kind of Lacrosse background my my dad I never played lacrosse but my dad was the high school goalie uh for lacrosse and his nickname was swiss cheese because he was terrible um so maybe the worst nickname you can get as a goalie swiss cheese um but yeah so yeah I got a little across my family I never personally played it um i' I've thrown around with the stick before but I never personally played uh organized lacrosse uh but yeah it's pretty funny that you mentioned that though what an in thanks man I I I came up with it about 14 minutes ago I was like I want to give Max something he deserves the man has had a really good moment again Max from PFF and we were just talking about this this is a big Flex for the NFL it is NFL schedule week this is for the marketing department so shout out to all the marketing departments that we had out there in the NFL working really hard to set this up my Titans go back to back doing a great job I I really believe the the red stallions girl worked hard again yep um so speaking on that Max what was your favorite intro that you saw o good one um I think the Chargers always do an excellent job with their videos and they did another one this year I think they had like a Sims uh thing which was really funny um and they put Harrison bucker in the kitchen and I don't know if you guys have seen the Harrison buter video that has been circulating recently uh where which is just not great um I would say that but uh it's pretty funny they kind of spun it on him and put him in the kitchen instead of other people he wants to be put in the kitchen um so that that was very funny I was actually amazed that they got that done in time considering the video came out the day before the schedule releases so they must have been up at all hours making that uh last second um they put that they did a teror Swift and Travis Kel getting on a private jet leaving their house that was really funny ter has always been uh one of their only negatives is that she uses a private jet more than anyone else pretty much um so yeah they there's a lot of Jabs being uh you know being poked at other teams and other players I thought was it's always a really really funny thing for the social media teams to do um yeah there's a lot of really good ones this year I that's that's one of the only things I look forward to in schedule release day uh is is all the creative uh videos and all the amazing social media teams in the NFL really getting to flex their muscles a little bit and uh and show us some uh great content got those social media interns working overtime man yeah I I work at social media I know some of those it's it's brutal out there sometimes so I I feel for them honestly ESP of the Chargers ones making that Harrison bucker thing is like like I said like that turnaround for that was was incredibly fast so they they must have been up until like 4 am making that honestly well speaking of schedule reveal videos personally you know my favorite was the Falcons the NFL Street the omage NFL Street yes as a huge as a huge game as a huge video game guy I absolutely loved it to come back you know you get you catch all this heat for what you did with Michael penx and then you just drop this absolute Gem of a schedule release video I think it saved some PA you did you definitely did because the Atlanta Falcons really need this right now yeah yeah big change good job marketing department oh yeah one they broke through the broke through the brick wall for the Saints and it said the ANS and Kurt Cousins with the chain I was like oh this is just this is just nice like play into the culture the whole thing it was beautiful but to to move on a little bit into the schedule uh we have some Christmas games on Netflix we have two matchups the Chiefs at the Steelers and the Ravens at the Texans so max I wanted to get your thoughts if you had to pick one of these and I feel like I know the answer here but if you had to pick one of these games to go to where you think you're gonna go oh actually I'm GNA I'm gonna go different with you I'm gonna take the one you don't think I'm taking Cu uh I may be biased here as a lifelong Steelers fan but I would take Chiefs at Steelers um I've been to only one Pittsburgh game My Life uh was my 13th birthday very very fun trip my dad and I took uh Unfortunately they lost on a last second uh touchdown from Joe Flaco to I want to say Tory Smith caught it um with like six seconds left it was brutal it crushed my heart as a 13-year old but um it was a lot of fun though Pittsburgh is a really really fun city so obviously Ravens Texans is a much better game uh than than Chief Steelers but I would pick in terms of which one I would want to go to I'd probably rather have the chief Steelers and RAV Texas okay okay that I would be honest I didn't see that com really okay well I I'll say this I think the Steelers are going to be a little a little bit more fun what I know about art and it'll little Su something you're G to be creative you're going to get frustrated as hell but you're G to get creative so that that'll be a fun one I mean yeah the Ravens Texans is going to be in a dome weather's not going to be affecting it and you're getting to see two CJ St highlight factories in their own respect two MVP candidates yeah absolutely that could be a conference Championship Game honestly the Ravens TX I wouldn't be surprised by that at all 100% oh yeah yeah I can see that there I mean right now you cannot tell me the Texans everybody's going to the betting lines just being like here take I want take my money uh I will say this Netflix has done a great job with these few Live Events they've done I'm interested to see about this like this could change some landscape for them if this hits yeah it will and that's I think we're getting more towards that as we've seen in recent years with Amazon Prime video getting more and more games obviously Thursday night football is on Prime now um You Got peacock getting exclusive games we had a playoff game most just exclusively on peacock which is wild I mean it's absolutely insane that a NFL playoff game would be exclusively on a streaming service now you got Netflix getting both Christmas games I mean I wouldn't be surprised if you start getting Hulu some uh some live games as well or some other streaming platforms like Apple TV I don't know um it really they're just following the money at this point and unfortunately for the consumer um it means you have to Shell out a lot of money to watch all these games because you have to pay for Netflix you got to pay separately for uh Amazon Prime you gotta pay separately uh for for everything really right now and for cable obviously um I did hear they're trying to package um some streaming services together in the near future which is basically in my opinion just cable again which is pretty funny uh but uh yeah it's just it's forun for the consumer and the fact that if you don't have these already and you want to watch your team you're going to have to pay more money to watch your team um but at the same time the NFL is just going to follow the money at all times as we've known forever uh and these streaming companies have so much money nowadays that it makes sense for them to try to get into the live sports uh realm 100% and two with Netflix I was I was like man they they might crush it but the peacock game was was a tough draw I think for a lot of people think the peacock one was going bad but man I'll be interested seed now on for if like Netflix picks it up because you know NBC's probably going to steal the NBA and the te Wars begin it's sad for NBA on TNT crew yeah dude I hope they I hope they maintain that crew man I that if they if they take away the Inside the NBA crew I think President Biden might have to step in honestly because that is a crime against the American people if you take away Shaq Chuck Ernie and and Kenny from uh from America they are they're electric man they're the most electric pregame halftime show postgame show that it is absolute electricity whenever they're on the air together you cannot take those guys away from America uh without them retiring that's the only way I would accept is if one of them retires they're not doing that right now so uh yeah if they take that away because of this I mean if if NBC gets the rights to the NBA the first thing they should do is is hire those four and I'm sure those four will be very open to it because obviously they're not doing anything now TNT doesn't have any games um so yeah that is the first thing that needs to have I don't care where it is it doesn't have to be on TNT it could be on NBC just as long as those four are doing the the you know Studio show together that's all I care about yeah bring everybody over with them yeah it'd be the same as if you like got rid of the game day or big noon kickoff or it would feel so weird crew or something it just be like this something something's not even more so I think I think Inside the NBA probably that crew even more so than game day or anything else I I think that is probably more devastating to America than like they they have moments to get like game day can get on my nerves sometimes like you know but uh Inside the NBA it's like dude if you just laughing along the whole time you feel like you're you know just in a in a bar with them just having a great time like I I think they're the best crew by far in terms of Studio shows uh nowadays in sports uh so if you if you willingly cut that uh cut them out I'd be I'd be pretty devastated I think most of America would be too yeah fact I I agree the the the clip compilations of of uh Charles Barkley saying something the Sha just like covering his face big old woman in San Antonio yeah big wom in San Antonio always well before we before we move on into the international games um speaking of Chiefs and Steelers who's the starting quarterback at that point in time uh I probably say Patrick Mahomes uh will probably be the CH probably the chief stared quarterback uh no I know what you're saying the Steelers I would say man I want Justin Fields I do I think he brings more of a rushing element that could be really really intriguing in in an Arthur Smith offense um I think it's going to be Russell Wilson to start the year uh now fortunately for the steer they paid they they're paying them nothing really they're paying Russell basically nothing Denver is paying them way more than uh this Pittsburgh actually is which is pretty funny I think he's making like 38 million next year and 37 of it's coming from Denver I think or something like that it's insane uh it's nuts but uh Justin Fields obviously they trade like a six round pick to get him too they're not really paying him much either uh it's going to be Russell Wilson to start the year I don't think Justin f will be used too much now they've been talking about him in the kick return game which is I think hilarious um but that they definitely couldn't can't do that but uh I hope longterm Justin Fields is the answer I don't think Russell Wilson is um I think it it will be Russell Wilson I want it to be Justin Fields And if Russell Wilson doesn't play well enough they're gonna move on to Justin Fields pretty quickly because you have a very very very capable backup in fact maybe one of the best backups in the league if not the best uh so hopefully uh they'll have a quick trigger to Justin Fields if it's not working out with Russell Wilson but but I do think it'll be Russell Wilson I think they've already announced it too that Russell Wilson is the starting quarterback for uh for right now for the for to to open the season he'll be yeah on the okay I was I was thinking they would give him a few games but I thought I figured if I had to if I had to bet money I think Justin Fields would be the guy by the end of the season I hope so I I I think I hopefully I think Russell Wilson is kind of like a stop Gap right now I'm hoping Fields is the long-term answer they're not going to be bad enough I think almost as long as Mike tomas's head coach like they're not going to ever be bad enough to get one of these top quarterback prospects they'll always be picking 15 to 20 unless they move up drastically to get one of them they'll never be bad enough because Mike tomman is like the nine and eight machine man I mean he's getting winning seasons every single time with a terrible roster it feels like so um I'm hoping Fields can be the long-term answer I still think he's got something to prove um so hopefully he can be the guy I think I I feel better at Fields Long Term but I think Wilson will be the shortterm play for the Steelers right now with yeah with Fields he's definitely a an investment because you pay like you said you're paying nothing for the guy oh Wilson I kind of feel bad for him at this point like this is this is a just a this has past a bit but I I hope Tomlin is the guy for him I really do between art and Tom you got some good big personalities be like hey dude just just shut up like like just quit Dancing On This Plane like you know Shawn pton was probably a little too much like Sean's like the like the grumpy old grandpa that's had a few whiskies and like hey you you got really should hit you you know one of those type of grandpas I think these guys will be a good fatherly figures to be like hey Russ right you're so awkward but you got to stop man you're good you're good at this quarterback thing when you want to be let's do it the receiving cord is going to get a little bit better hopefully in the next year or so so I know losing de Deontay was was tough but you know you guys still got you guys Draft wide receivers like George pickings they got Roman Wilson in the second or third round I forgot which round they took him in they got Roman in there um they got other guys that they've drafted in the past that really haven't proven much yet um yeah George pickings and Russell Wilson's personality me me together G be interesting uh it's gonna be a dynamic D that's gonna be that's that's gonna be pretty interesting see I don't know if if that's gonna work out that might explode pretty quickly but uh yeah again they they definitely got worse this off season in a lot of positions but they did improve at quarterback which is the most important one um so yeah it's G be interesting what they could do with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields next year International schedule yep where you want to go with that buddy I know you had a question Sal Paulo Brazil Packers and the Eagles that's actually a really good game Brazil I feel like Brazil Brazil got the best draw out of these yeah that's Friday night game too Friday night game we got Jets and the Vikings in London Jags and the bears in London and the Jags staying and playing the Pats in London also they interested in at that point in the season Jags and Pats I'm assuming Drake May's GNA stay the guy all season for New England yeah versus Trevor Lawrence I think it should be at that point I don't know exactly what week that is but jacobe Bret I pretty sure Brett's G be the opening day starter um it sounded like Mayo was not very happy with May at OTAs like he was kind of like yeah he's got a long way to go which I mean I don't really I don't know what they yeah I so I I don't know how much I believe that like I'm I'm a huge Drake May guy I thought he should have be the number two overall pick honestly um but they're in a bad's that's a bad situation in New England right now so don't even hate sitting May for a year or not I mean a whole year but like sitting May for a while just because how bad the situation is you don't want to ruin his development unfortunately uh Jobe pret just be the sacrificial lamb they throw out there and just you know take his lumps out there but uh yeah I think uh yeah Drake may I think it's gonna be interesting I think he he could be um he could be a starter for them at that point of the Season though for sure yeah I I actually don't I don't hate the idea of of not necessarily letting May sit for the entire year but kind of keeping him on the back burner kind of keep his confidence up don't throw him to the wolves in the first couple of games and then like you know maybe if you're down you you get a good draft pick for next year and get him a weapon or get assess some other need that you that you might have and then roll Drake May out there and be like hey he's a little more polished let's you know you're the guy now let's let's roll maybe you get something for jacobe next year I who knows but we going to talk about we going to talk about Germany kind of getting the short end of the stick here John's Panthers that's a draw that's a that's D it's got to be somebody in Munich that's just waiting because he's like I I've not watched live football in years transplant I got some job at Volkswagen I need a football in my life and he's like I'll go watch Giants Panthers yeah that's a brutal get that's a brutal get for Germany honestly um yeah I think it's that's pretty tough to get those two teams right now and they're they're probably to of the five or six worst teams in the league next year so did the JS get hard knocks too they got offseason offseason okay so we'll build we'll build up some Rapport for the Germans out there let's build a rapport let's get them going exactly yeah they got uh yeah the they're doing a new thing which I think is really cool they're doing offseason Hard Knocks which just basically following the Giants throughout the offseason you know free agency the draft all that which I think is really cool and honestly that might be even cooler than the regular Hard Knocks they got right now um but yeah they're F they haven't announced the regular Hard Knocks but the offseason Hard Knock will be the Giants okay so we we can build some raor on the back end people will be really cheering for the assistant GMS the scouts yeah big fans here yeah maybe have a little pocket of Daniel Jones fans and dear God I hope they don't roll out those Century uniforms the same time they go to Germany that was that was that was insane that was insane yeah is is is a tough look um let's see let's cover the uh the kickoff game so we got a AFC Championship rematch Ravens and the Chiefs Xavier worthy make makes his debut as a chief still can't believe the bills let them have him are we expecting a different result do you have any early leans anybody your favoring do you you think the Ravens can lock this up this time if they choose to run the ball yeah honest that's the key right um I I think yeah I kind of like I I think Baltimore might be able to upset them like Detroit did in the opening game uh this past year too I think Baltimore with Derrick Henry there now I they're going to have to run the ball more than they did last year obviously and then title game at least I think that's and I could not believe the game plan for that as title game I mean uh you're trying to go throw for throw with Patrick Mahomes when you have the best rushing attack in the league and Kansas City had a great defense overall but they had legit like one of the five worst run defenses last year and I don't know why they wouldn't try to take advantage of that um it seems like it seemed like the after the Chiefs scored the first touchdowns like they almost like were like oh God we're in catchup mode now dude still have like 45 minutes to to figure this out like you're fine like um so so yeah I think uh hopefully they'll do it more this year with Derrick Henry as their running back and obviously Lamar Jackson still a quarterback the best rushan quarterback of all time um so and a and a rebuild offensive line too uh I like I like Baltimore I think Baltimore could uh could could upset the Chiefs and I think Chiefs with that brand new receiving Court Rashid rice might not even be playing in that game um I think it could take some time for them to jail overall uh so yeah I'll take the Baltimore as a kind of an upset pick over the Chiefs right now yeah I like it I like it too I mean they're gonna they're going to figure some things out over the offseason and I will say I'm missing Derrick Henry already yep uh it's going to be a different look for us in the Titans universe but it's okay it's okay go up there and do your thing on awful Baltimore Taj Spears baby Taj Spears and Tony I love I do love Taj Spears but yeah you are a fan of Taj huh I like okay well I'm a college football guy so um I he I mean I didn't pay too much attention to the titans this year unfortunately how did he play well in this rookie year or it was okay I mean like it's just rookie stuff and I I thought at times he looked better than Derek you know just just doesn't especially with a bad offensive line yeah that's fair I I liked I lik Tai a lot at two lane um I thought he's a really really talented player at two lane so it's be interesting how we could do as I never really thought he'd be a full-time number one NFL back though so it's be interesting how he does in that role this year um but yeah I I did like him a lot t l and yeah I gotta watch him war of his rookie tape but um yeah I thought I always I liked him a lot I always thought of him as more of a complimentary back than an actual number one back uh so we'll see how he does this year but uh yeah I did like him a lot coming out of college though yeah he'll be a split guy this year with Tony he'll be a split guy true yeah forg that Tony PA too you're right and it'll be it'll be weird because like I was looking at it from Callahan's perspective in in Cincinnati and I was like he you know mixon's not the same as either one of these guys and you know he had samj and he had a couple other different guys it's like ah none of these guys fit these Taj or Tony molds so it'll be fun to watch how he utilizes this and it is the time of the year we get to watch big guys push sleds and be amazed so JC L them thank you for that I'm sorry I think I Jinx you guys by the way when I came on last time right you sure did I've been thinking about you every day been thinking about you every day max because I was like don't don't give me nightmares and you did it and you did it wants us to get an offensive weapon in the first round well we got an offensive weapon he just plays offensive tack uh which I was like that is the most Jim Harbaugh quote of all time I think but uh yeah that one uh that's maybe a that's an extremely Jim Harbaugh pick there was a lot of rumors that uh before the draft they were gonna take JC leam over Joe Al um I'm happy that didn't happen I'm not happy for your perspective obviously but um I'm happy Joe Al is ot1 but uh yeah that yeah I right when I right when they picked him I actually thought about you guys like oh damn I really screw those guys over by saying oh he'll he'll be there at seven he'll be there at seven oh yeah I'm sorry man I'm really sorry that no don't worry I'm already bound into the hype I watched him push a sled that Callahan made so I'm in already dude right per birtha baby big birth which is which blows my mind like 380 pounds just doesn't make any sense no yeah that can't be good for your back either honestly I think uh that's probably an old school way that bill uh Bill is doing it and just like okay I don't know if that's really safe for players but it obviously it would work for uh make sure the Browns of the Cowboys and actually I think they released it today yesterday that Greg olon is taking a$7 million cut yikes for Brady dude uh funny you say that my dad was in balmore yesterday for uh convention whatever he texted me's like oh I just saw Greg wison leave at my hotel and get in the limo and I was like dude you should went up to him be like oh Greg limo really at this at this time you really want to be but no no Greg Greg's the man dude Greg's the man I I I am devastated for Greg honestly I think he is an unbelievable color commentator and he's kind of getting screwed by working in the company where the the goat is and obviously Tom Brady will never be a number two color commentator or number two in anything honestly so um makes sense that they're going with Brady as the top guy but it does suck for a guy like Greg Olsson who truly was spectacular as a color commentator last year um and would be a number one guy for basically any other network he should be the number one guy uh but yeah it's it's a it's a hefty pay cut for him and it's uh it sucks he's not gonna be the top guy for Fox anymore because he really does deserve to be a number one guy for a network he was so good oh dude he was fantastic I I was thinking he would get picked up almost like when when the Brady news came out I was like oh and in a week we'll see Greg signed with so and so to do whatever yeah just never I don't know I hold out hope that it will at some point happen for Greg Olson I think he's too good to just to St yeah I think he's under contract right now so he probably can't get out of it but once he once he's a free agent I'm sure someone maybe freaking Netflix or whoever might pick him up as uh the number one I to say that that would be because there there's going to be somebody in this package deal that they're about to do with all streaming services which right now I was thinking back when you said that it cost they said it's if you're going to watch every NFL game it cost you 890 something dollars this year dude so crazy anyway so yeah there's gonna be one of those packages Amazon like picks up a couple extra games or something along those lines that's where Greg will go yeah probably I I I could see I mean I'm not the biggest Tony Romo fan right now but uh I can see him being a candidate for any spot honestly I mean I'm not because I'm not CU have inside info here because he's my the CEO of literally my company but whenever Chris Collinsworth decides to retire too I'm I'm sure NBC would be looking at someone like R Olson too you gotta let us know as soon as you get that inside we we need we need that like little he's still kicking man he he did the first round NFL we didn't think Chris would be on the PFF draft show this year and he he was like no I'm doing it no I'm there and I was like hell yeah Chris he like he was out there uh I love it dude Chris Collins nobody in the industry Works harder than him and I'm only saying that because I want to get a significant pay raise but uh of course you do no no Chris Chris is actually he's he's the absolute man the few conversations I've had with him have been nothing but amazing so um yeah no literally nobody works harder than him though it's amazing how many hours that guy puts in hell yeah well I know it's May and it's really early and there's only a few you there's only a few of us sickos out here who really want to talk college football in May but I am one of them and I feel like you're probably also one of them too so let's uh absolutely we have some details about the opening week of college football and I wanted to hit a couple of games here so at noon we have at noon on the opening weekend that Saturday we have Clemson versus Georgia in Atlanta a few years ago this was a crime time night game does this because for me this I have and I have some strong thoughts about Clemson and especially after some comments that Davos Sweeney has made oh dude dude what the I mean what I it's almost Insanity at this point what we're talking it's like delusion has to be it it's like I understand you you've built your culture like you were at Clemson y'all didn't have immediate success y'all didn't you didn't do what Bama did you didn't come in with Sabin have a bad year and then immediately rip off like Deo fought for his spot at Clemson AB earned it and so I respect the Clemson Way and the way he wants to do things but man I mean does them slotting this game at noon has to does that say something to Clemson about you like what they think they're going to be this year um I don't think so I I think it's I think it's the Chick-fil-A uh kickoff game which is usually always a no game I'm pretty sure um so that Mak I think that's why it sucks it is a no game because it probably would be the number one game of the day there are it's a pretty awesome week one I will say so there were there were other games that that you know fit the bill but uh yeah I don't think it was anything to do with with the teams I think it was just the way uh the games are constructed honestly and and I think like I said it's Chick-fil-A kickoff game which I'm pretty sure is always the noon game in Atlanta and the Mercedes Ben's uh Dome so um yeah I think uh I think that's why it happened so but yeah it's going to be interesting what Clemson going be this year for sure okay well time slotting aside I I did see I did see your Tweet today about dabo's comments where Dabo basically come out and said a majority of transfer players aren't good enough to play at Clemson and I I had my own thoughts about this and I I rattled off some receivers that I thought would have been youon Coleman wasn't good enough you're telling me Isaiah bond this year wasn't good enough to crack that going Evan Stewart wasn't good enough love it last year wasn't good enough like you're telling me this this list of receivers were were not good enough to play at CL who y'all been who y'all had the past two years at receiver that were just going to keep them off the field and not only that um quarterback wise k kick has not been cutting it for them I don't think and I we'll see what he can do in his junior year but uh I even tweet it out I was like all right you don't think players are good enough to play Clemson that transfers uh of the Heisman Trophy winners since 2017 so at seven players Baker Mayfield transfer Kyler Murray transfer Joe burrow transfer Devonte Smith and Bryce young did not transfer Caleb Williams transfer Jaden Daniels transfer transfer we've had only two heisen winners the last seven have not been transfers so and pretty insane uh be saying stuff like that and also I saw the quote from a couple days ago they said uh that oh no we are bringing technically we are bringing in transfers you know our entire roster is transfers actually because if you think about it they're transferring in from high school dude this is just what you do ridiculous we're talking he it makes no sense to me man why you would not utilize this tool it's if you want to win in college football today you need to be utilizing nil and you got to be utilizing transfer portal if you're not utilizing one or both of them you're screwed honestly you're screwed um and I know CL I know he's very against nil as well um it just it makes no sense for a top tier program like Clemson because if they were offering Keon Coleman if they were offering all these top transfers they're damn sure going to be one of the top schools for a lot of those transfer guys because they say oh damn Clemson National Championship winners two of them uh DAV Sween op like they would get top transfers it's not like they wouldn't be getting these top guys they're just refusing to do it and dab was stuck in his ways and he wants to build through high school and I try to compare to the NFL and be like listen imagine if an NFL team was like no we're just gonna draft players We're Not Gonna sign free agents we're just gonna draft players see they're going to be they would be terrible they'd be one of the worst teams in the league because they sometimes these guys just don't work out and really getting recruits is like getting draft picks it's like all right hopefully this guy translates well transfer portal is like is literally like free agency we like I know this guy is a good college football player I know for a fact because I saw at another school um and the same thing in the NFL I like I know this guy's a good NFL player because he played well for another team so it just it makes no damn sense for me that they're not utilizing the portal and that's the big reason why they're a top 15 top 20 team when they used to be every single year a top five National Championship Contender team they're not that anymore and unless they start changing their ways and start utilizing the transfer portter more or utilizing N More they will not be that I mean look at Florida State dude Florida State last year um two years ago they were terrible like last year their entire team was made up with transfers and the damn near made the college football playoff and probably deserved to be in the college football playoff honestly after going 13 and0 so it could really turn around a team pretty quickly and Clemson's just refusing to use it which makes no sense in my opinion I agree yeah and and Florida State literally went into Death Valley and beat Clemson yeah with literally all transfers like Jordan Travis was a transfer Trey Benson was a transfer Johnny Wilson was a transfer Jem Bell was a transfer Keon Coleman was Keon Coleman was transfer Jared vers was a transfer fentral Cypress was a transfer um literally every every star player you could think of for Florida State last year they transferred in basically so it's yeah it's pure Insanity to be thinking that this this this thing it would not be valuable to you it's like dude you Caleb DS you tell me kale DS wouldn't be starting on Clemson next year the quinshon Judkins like dude it's just it's insane to me to be saying that some of these guys are not good enough to play at Clemson it's like dude I mean if you're going eight and four I'm sure you can use a lot of these guys right now and and this is a program that should be competing for national titles and they're just not because of uh of dabo's refusal to get with the times in a lot of ways he's still an unbelievable coach I'm not taking that away from him he's a two-time national champion for a reason uh I just I get really ticked off with this uh all trans portal stock it's like dude if you're not utilizing it the game is gonna pass you by I'm sorry to tell you man yeah that's gonna come up on you quick 100% yeah quick and those boosters and stuff from like Hey we're willing to pay yeah and they are they they have the money it's not like a money issue like it's just like it's just refusing to use it which is just like that just it makes no s some schools obviously will struggle because they don't have the money to be competing with other schools for these top Guys Clemson has does not have that problem it's just they're they're very old school and you know they're trying to nil means Jesus's name image likeness you know it's just like Dabo like dude if you're a recruiter or a player it's just like dude it's tough and again he's an unbelievable head coach and I actually do like him uh as a person sometimes too but I just dude some of the stuff he's been saying and the way the way he's been running his program recently it's just it doesn't fit the current day age of college football and as we've seen college football is changing rapidly and if you're not changing with it you're screwed and I think Clemson unfortunately is not changing with college football right now which is why I think they're falling behind a little bit behind the elite teams cable they're still one of the top ACC teams but they're falling behind the elite teams whereas like I said with with DeShaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence and all those great teams like they were competing for national titles now I just I don't see them as a national title Contender anymore no not even sniffing it they're they're like a I think at best right now they're probably a fringe playoff team yeah a 12 seed 11 seed 10 seed and I think it'd be different if if people were trying to be like hey Clemson you need to fill your roster but they're still recruiting they're not recruiting the same way they were with Desa and Trevor but they're still recruiting well enough to where it's like hey you just plug a couple of pieces fill a couple oh absolutely you no they tent to do what Florida state did you don't no they they have serious Talent the problem is that they just like some guys just don't hit and and that's fine like that's that's what happens in high school recruiting like some guys just don't hit like Kate kmck he was the number one quarterback coming out of high school I would argue he hasn't hit yet and of course you'll have another year to prove that if he can or not but uh yeah there some guys just don't do well and I think wide receiver has been a huge issue for them recently they used to be like wide receiver youu and they've really fallen off recently if you can get a Keon col in there or get like an Evan Stewart in there or another top receiver in that portal man that would fix it almost immediately man look at Florida State what they've did their receiving core which is building it through the transfer portal so yeah just it really is like you said it serves to plug your holes whereas you know drafting in the NFL and high school recruits are meant to be the foundation of your team but then free agency is meant to plug your holes and so was the transfer portal and they they're just not doing that right now so that's why they're falling behind right now they're they're relying on high school kids to hit their ceiling which is a dangerous proposition when you can just get guaranteed good players in the portal yeah yeah speaking of the portal though there's another team down in Florida couple teams love the transfer portal love a little money that's Miami and Florida that's our 330 game that's our you know no longer CBS game but uh it's brutal dude bral CBS is gone man I saw the uh I saw what was it SEC on Fox was it the on ESPN logo yeah I was this or ABC yes and I was like this is wrong this is so wrong but uh it doesn't feel right at all man yeah uh so between Chris Ball and Napier who kind of needs that win more uh the answer is Billy Napier because they both need it desperately I think they're both on scorching hot seats heading into 2024 but the answer is Billy Napier because if he doesn't win this game I don't know how many more other games he's going to be able to win because if you look at that Florida schedule it is maybe the hardest schedule I've ever seen in college football it is brutal dude it is Florida got screwed they so I put out my my weight to early top 25 they play six of my top 20 teams and I think about Florida it's like okay what is the minimum amount of games that you know nap needs to win in order to keep his job I probably say like seven or eight right it's like how the hell he's gonna win seven or eight games against that schedule I mean it's absolutely insane um I think honestly if he goes five if he goes six and six against that schedule Florida fans should be very happy that should be like all right that's good for us we got to a bll game great you know because I mean you look at that schedule last five games of the Season at Georgia at Texas against LSU against Old Miss and then at Florida State that's closing out the season that is brutal dude like I don't know what the heck they were thinking putting I mean they got screwed by the the SEC scheduling but uh and then you got Miami listen six six top 20 teams are playing that's not even counting Texas ATM and Miami either so they play legit like eight brutal brutal games and Kentucky even could be an interesting team this year as well that's nine UCF is a dangerous dangerous team this year loaded up in the portal man they did D that running game nasty oh my God their running back room looks insane they got RJ Harve KJ Jefferson at quarterback RJ Harvey who's a top 10 running back in the country in my opinion they got Penny Boon coming in from Louisville uh and also to basically from Toledo he never really played it at Louisville but uh he's also an unbelievable running back too he got a three-headed monster in that ground game um so I think UCF can be dangerous as well well so yeah man they got uh that's legit 10 games like you that I think Florida can lose like I think worst case scenario is a two- 10 football team next year and that's that's they still have to beat at Mississippi state in order to do that uh to go 10- two or excuse me two and 10 um so they play s the only gimme is sford that's the only game they have the rest of the schedule is like no they could lose every other game and that's not I'm not even trying to say Florida's a bad team like they have talent on that team it's just they're like a good team and they play six to eight like Elite teams basically so it's just like I don't know it's just I so to answer your question I do think it's a bigger game for Florida because if they don't win that game it's almost like okay I don't know what other games you're gon be able to win so yeah I think it's probably that's why I would say it's a bigger game for billion AP here in Florida I agree and and like if Miami loses they can still go on and win the ACC right that that's much more doable than like if Florida loses to Miami it's like buddy your chances of winning the SEC if you looked this bad against Miami ER I think I honestly think just a bll game should be the goal for them I don't even think they should even think about SEC Championship like I just think a bll game is like if they make a if they go six and six that'd actually be a really successful year for Florida and that's again nothing to do with how bad they are because I think they're average to above average the problem is they just play a ridiculously hard schedule next year so that's why I'm a little worried about the Gators yeah I'm with you there's gonna be six teams on their schedule that will be in a projection of the playoffs that's GNA be crazy to think about something else was that outside of those six teams I know you mentioned Texas A&M I mean last year they're number two in the 247 team Talent composite I mean I know some of those players have transferred out and left but that I mean A&M's got a roster oh dude they absolutely as like a top five team but they just hired Mike Elco so they've got talent they've got dudes they've got serious dude and Mike ELO he always makes his team punch above their weight class and the problem with Jimbo fer era at Texas A&M was they got all this talent and they didn't like play up to that Talent level so now get all getting a coach who knows how to coach players up and you're giving him a lot of talent of course you mentioned they lost a lot of players in the portal for sure they lost Evan Stewart um they lost some other guys on the defensive line as well but you still got Conor Wegman at quarterback who looked unbelievable in the four games he played last year a former five star recruit a quarterback as well he could he's a dark horse qb1 for next year's draft honestly like a dark horse pick if you really want one he looked great in the four games now granted those four games were Miss mainly against Bad competition but he still looked really good and then he suffered a season ending foot injury but I'm excited to see what he can do and then they got this uh kid Nick Gorton from uh Purdue an edge Defender I think he's the second best Edge defender in the country so it's they also brought in a really talented player in the portal as well and Nick scorton so um I think A&M's gonna be a really interesting team next year yeah they lost a lot of talent for sure but uh with Wegman at quarterback Mike ELO at head coach scorton leading that defense I mean I think they could have a really interesting team next year and they could surprise some people who uh who do you think who do you think he's behind second best Edge Defender uh Jam Pierce Jr that's right right that's right baby ball I just want to make sure I want keep that that in there yeah it's Pierce it's still Pierce uh Pierce is the guy um he could be the number one overall pick like I said and uh yeah man he's gonna be uh I I can't wait to see him next year man I I hope he puts on a little bit of weight and I hope he uh develops some pass rushing moves because then he'd be unblockable uh but otherwise it's dude it's so scary like he was a top three pass rusher in the country last year and maybe even like the second best behind Liu latu latu though wins off his Advanced pass rushing moves like he is NFL ready I don't think there's much more he can do to get better Pierce there's everything to do he can get better like he is like winning exclusively off athleticism and he's beating SEC tackles like routinely just doing that which is a negative in that okay he's he's got to develop a lot but also like dude it's terrifying you think about it's like dude if he can develop what what is he going to look like when he has pass rushing moves right now he's just trying to blow by tackles and get through and go through them um I am if he develops some moves man and gets a little bit stronger in the Run game I mean he could very easily be the number one overall pick because of how freaky of an athlete he is yeah that's the scary part of it is the raw talent is unquestionable I mean he's still winning he's still winning like you're talking about adding just one one really good move and a couple just you got a bad tackle moves like you can just beat him with something use a little more hands here bro but you know he'll be all right he uh you we have a metric that can track how fast a player is and and they change of Direction ability and all that um and I was looking at the top 15 fastest players last year like their top speed and he was the only one uh besides like he was the only basically lineman uh that was in that top 15 he uh and that pick six against Iowa in the bowl game he hit a top speed of I believe 23 miles per hour which is absolutely ridiculous stuff for a 240 pound man um that is like that is like some top speed that you see from like wide receivers basically and not and some receivers can't even hit that top speed so he is as freaky as freaky gets man and I think uh like I said he is a really good bet because in in a weaker quarterback class next year I think he's a really really good bet to be uh the first pick of the NFL draft like say if the Carolina Panthers who just trade away Brian Burns they Trad away their freaky Athletic Edge Defender that's like a home run pick for them F get the number one pick again just because like yeah that that's the guy that just plug into a defense pretty quickly okay real quick I I want to ask before Joseph gets in here do you have like do you know you can tell me if you don't know like miles per hour as a thinking bro like what is a what's 23 miles an hour like in a 40 time oh god dude I do you know I mean I know no I'm not it's a I'm trying to think of like what that translate too um dude I'd be surprised if he if he doesn't go in the four fours honestly I think he'd probably be a 4-4 guy and obiously he could even prove me wrong and go 43s I that's I think that's really high projection for any Edge Defender obviously so I think four fours is a little bit safer but even like dude if you're running the four FS you're a freak like if you run the four fours you're like you're like holy you know that's insane so um yeah I think I'd say like the the four fours would probably be my projection for James Pierce Jr for what he would run it depends on how much weight he puts on too but uh yeah he's uh he is he's a freak is unbelievable that guy can do out there crazy well it's uh we just make sure we kind of don't go long let's kind of let's kind of move quickly through these last two games I have highlighted so we talked about Texas A&M uh they take on Notre Dame as the uh the night cap game for that Saturday uh who do you think a win sets up that what what what program is set up more for Success this year with a win um I would say Texas A&M could use that more because I think Notre Dame is being thought about as like a top 10 team so I think a Texas M can beat them and be like oh wow A&M is really legit this year so um I think I think it's probably bigger for them but uh man I love Notre Dame's team this year man I I think they are they got an unbelievable defense they're gonna have a top three defense in the country in my opinion next year they have unreal talent coming back at defense and you got Xavier Watts at safety he won the defensive player of the year Ben Morrison at corner who's a top two Corner in the country uh you got Jack Kaiser at linebacker who's unbelievable you got the second best D tackle duo in the country as well and Howard cross and Riley Mills uh RJ Obin transfers in from duke who's also really really talented um at Edge Defender um that defense be unreal they lose a lot of offensive pieces for sure but he brought in Riley Leonard quarterback who I like um so yeah it'll be interesting it's funny enough that Riley Leonard is going against his former head coach and Mike Elco at two different schools now too elco's now the coach at A&M and R Leonard's the quarterback at Notre Dame when they both were at Duke last year uh but uh yeah I think I think Notre is a better team uh but I think to answer your question I think that would be a bigger game for A&M to kind of establish hey we're here because I don't think a lot of people think about A&M as a top 20 team right now if they beat Notre Dame a lot of people like wow they're actually okay they might be a legit SEC Contender this year agreed and and I think also that both of those teams are probably Fringe playoff teams and Notre Dames probably has a better chance of making the playoff at like nine and three maybe Texas A&M does depending on yeah who they lose to probably yeah yeah Notre Dame I think Notre Dame's a good bet for a play like A&M would need to win some games like the Notre Dame game over to get into the playoff probably they probably won't be able to sneak in if they have three or four losses yeah and the last game of the weekend we got s we got LSU versus USC Vegas baby oh in Vegas man what do you think this what do you think a win for either one of these teams says um I think for I think it just shows more I'm really excited to see this two quarterbacks out there nus Meyer and LSU a lot of people are super high on and even Miller Moss at USC to Miller Moss people are crazy high in him too so I'm excited to see those two out there I'm excited to see what this new look USC defense can do honestly I I think with Dan they had a A+ higher and Danon Lyn as their defensive coordinator getting him from UCLA who had one of the best defenses in college football last year um so getting him at USC is a huge get for for the Trojans um and LLC needs to prove that they can play defense too I mean those are two teams that uh it's actually crazy how similar they are uh they had two unbelievable offenses why were they lost three games for and why USC lost five games because their defenses were freaking terrible um so I'm excited to see if any of them if either of them can uh can improve um I'm excited to see LC's brand new look receiving core as well CJ Daniels is a guy I'm really excited to watch out there from transfer from Liberty um El's got a great old line as well yeah it's gonna be interesting game I think uh what it says I think for for both is just you know Canen they play defense now what defense actually shows up or will it be an absolute shootout um like it would have been last year if those played each other so um I'm excited to see uh how they look you know replacing the top two picks in the draft you know Caleb Williams is gone Jaden Daniels is gone How does Miller Lamas and and Garrett NM look replacing them so um yeah I think I think it just says a lot about the the next era of those two programs agreed and and I was high I was kind of high on Garrett nesme seeing him a little I think he's good in the SEC Championship game when they we're back you know they should have done like a I I thought the idea of a Heisman cover of every Heisman winner since the game stopped coming out would been sick like that would have been really really cool great idea um I think Nick Sabin on the cover could have been cool I I doubt Nick sa would agree to do that he'd probably like Bill Bel uh in Madden where bel's the only coach in Madden that wouldn't agree to have his likeness in there so you have a random guy Ro the Patriot Sil was that was hilarious um he probably would do the same thing be like I'm not I don't want to be to cover video game what are you guys talking about um but I the highest's cover I the the player selection was a little interesting um I wouldn't those weren't the three players would have gone with personally but uh the deluxe edition cover is sick I will give him that um and I just I don't know I wish they kind of leaned into the whole this is the first game in 10 years whereas this this cover we got right now is like okay it's as if like we've always had this video game like that's why I don't know it felt a little bit weird to me but agree and and we had actually on one of the first few episodes we did they uh we they just tweeted out some of the news and we were like talking about covers and I was like dude I would love to see like a lost era cover because sto out it stopped coming out the first year of the 14 playoff and then it's coming back out the year after the 14 playoff so like I would have loved to have seen them take a picture of each National Championship winner and make this like that too a a bouquet spot and each person it just covers and it's just the Lost era because we didn't have the 14 playoff in that game right ever and that yeah either that either I like that idea too I didn't think about that either do like a player from every year holding up the national championship trophy 100% or or the Heisman idea dude the Heisman Edition would have been perfect that that should have been like the deluxe edition like that should have been like okay I would have shelled out everything for that um again the cover is cool and it looked cool I just the fact that we're not even leaning into like like they should be doing everything to like be leading into no we're back like this is this is the first time in 10 years we're back like it it just doesn't feel like that right it just feels like a regular video game but um yeah I'm still I'm still extremely hyped for I the cover I like the cover don't I still love the cover I just I would have made some changes for sure if I was in charge of it there were some few there was a few things they could have done a little bit better but I like it I'm with you I love I like it I do like it I don't hate it at all I just 600 bucks a piece then they gotta be on it yeah no I know II yeah some players I I think Travis Hunter should have been on it so I think they got that right because he he is the face of college football um oi Gordon should have been on I think olly Gordon is the best player in college football probably uh and then maybe Carson Beck would be my other guy I don't know eers is dangerous man eers is dangerous because you put Quinns on the cover and he plays Michigan week two and if he if he craps the bet against Michigan there gonna be some Arch Manning chance coming in from Austin Texas and all of a sudden all of a sudden your cover athlete is on the bench uh and getting Spencer Rattler so that's like that's I don't think it's gonna happen don't get me wrong I think he was a very very talented player but the second he throws an incompletion arch chance are be you know raining down on him so it's GNA be uh that that was a a little risky it's like a Payton Hills cover a little bit it's like oh you could look back on and be like oh wow um so yeah I don't know Carson Beck I think is a safer option I also think Carson Beck is the best quarterback in the country too so that I would have done that with him too but I don't know I don't hate it um but it's just it's interesting it's interesting and I'm with I'm with you there about specifically Quinn I think his leash with sarkeesian is very long but I think with the fan base like you said he throws two incompletions his first interception Arch Arch dude Michigan 2 week two Michigan's defense like dud and is they're coming again they uh it's it's a lot on Quinn shoulders they got in some really good transfers but you lose worthy you lose ad an i Mitchell you lose Jordan Winnington you lose to Tavon Sanders you lose Jonathan Brooks uh you lose almost all the weapons on that team so it's gonna be it's gonna be a lot on his shoulders next year um and like I said if he he starts screwing up a little now he does show up in the big games the Quinn eers experience is basically having unbelievable game against Alabama and the very next week you know crap the bet against Wyoming um but uh yeah yeah I mean after that spring game with Arch Manning looking as good as he did it's going to be some people are going to be begging to see Arch Manning so uh I'm ex I'm going to be very intrigued to see that I I don't think it's out of the realm possibility that we have a Spencer Rattler Caleb William situation where it's like uh the guy takes over halfway through the year I I don't think that's completely out of the round possibility I don't think it's likely but I I I don't think it's completely out of round possibility either yeah no like you mentioned one pick and it could be done so yeah dude I'm telling you they're going to be For Better or For Worse for poor feel bad for Quinn because it's going to be it's going to be a lot to to handle for him next year with uh with Arch Manning going into his sophomore year and looking as good as he did in the spring game too it's gonna be uh especially if Texas kills a team and Arch Arch comes in as a in mop-up Duty and and looks unbelievable it's gonna be like dude it's gonna be I don't know it's a little dangerous it's a little dangerous putting quins on the cover is all I'm saying it is risk it for the biscuit Baby Max We Appreciate You Again big
