Intro/This Season So Far on the latest episode of claim to fame The Season's first earworm emerges you better hold that tight to your chest man you keep that to your chest I'm Lizzy Frizzle this is the recap Corner let's talk about some TV season 3 episode 4 is called the rat packed at this point we're more than a third of the way through the season and in some ways this is my favorite one yet there's been Cutthroat gameplay and new strategies but I'm not rooting for anyone to win the first two seasons featured a lot of charming personalities and footage that showcased them moments of teamwork and brainstorming clearly defined alliances who actually like working together that stuff's mostly missing this time the double elimination also didn't help me get to know people since more of them were gone faster basically this season's editing and pacing are making it hard to invest in anyone enough to want them to win but it is easy to root against someone Adam Adam Ruins Everything with Miguel gone he's the group's new Target partly because no one knows who he's related to but mostly because no one likes him I'm bouncing I'm bouncing bouncing and even worse several contestants accuse Adam of being an information mooch Adam in the house he's just been riding on the train and collecting notes I have been sharing with Adam every single Theory and I cannot think of one single thing that Adam has done for me I must be a neppo baby because I expect everybody to give me everything what other the spoils you got for me the reason Adam needs everyone's help but can't offer his own is because even though he's competing to win $100,000 by solving pop culture puzzles Adam is pop clueless I got Dennis lirry for her I don't know who Dennis L is oh God what scarecrow do you know who Moon walks n are you the whz Michael Jackson he's called the whz when he didn't know who Desi arnes was earlier this season I thought it was understandable since the height of his Fame was about 60 years ago but now it just seems like Adam didn't prepare like at all when people compete on Jeopardy they practice using a buzzer and they memorize the names of a lot of rivers and operas they don't just show up and wing it also for a guy who's been wrong every time he thought he'd figured out someone celebrity relative Adam is quick to Discount other people's theories even when they have evidence Jackson no fives anywhere the only person who has DJ's clue is Danny nothing in the clues are point to MJ nothing in the clues are saying anything about him was telling the story I heard everybody's like I'm going to the hospital go Mr Jackson there's no possible way that he's that transparent nagging people for information so aggressively they want to eliminate you then insisting that whatever things they do tell you are wrong is one of those new strategies I mentioned earlier but unfortunately I don't think this one's working having had it with her unhelpful Ally Adam and to reiterate one more time he is unhelpful DJ could be Michael Jackson like everybody's saying or DJ could be related to Randy Jackson I'm looking at a Rams Horn and I see the microphone there's a judge gavl on there so I'm thinking more for Randy Jackson I always think a little differently and maybe that's the person and there all wrong I would consider him an actor Randy Jackson no he's a producer best known for being on TV Naomi pitches that Adam's clue should be pulled from the wine seller next regardless of who wins the challenge that way it can be shared with whoever's in the bottom two and the guesser can eliminate Adam for everyone's benefit maybe even Adams depending on how much hate he'd end up getting on social media the more episodes he's in but to pull off Naomi's plan Adam can't win the challenge which The Challenge won't be a problem because the challenge is about using pop culture knowledge and your pre-existing theories about people's relatives to figure out who's lying look me in the eyes and tell me you didn't leave me in that hotel in Germany when I was five I didn't leave you in a hotel no that was Joe you're a good kid I I know your mother I believe you got it do it why are you even bringing this up what's going on I'm working Kevin I'm setting up the next challenge today the players are going to grill their competitors with their most burning questions the interrogation challenge is back have you ever been in a position where you've been interrogated at I don't know if I'm putting that on TV so yes one at a time everyone answers a series of yes or no questions chosen by their castmates asked by this guy who I really hope gets cast on I think you should leave hey partner hey good to see you again good to see well well well well by monitoring body language heart rate internal temperature brain activity and more contestants individually decide which answers are truths and which are lies whoever gets the most right wins in addition to the usual immunity and clue the challenge winner also gets to analyze their castmates with help from Doug Lao a former CIA case officer and former judge on a different reality show called Spy Games don't roll your eyes don't don't see that's that's exactly what pisses me off Doug is also supposed to give tips during the challenge about how to tell if people are lying but he never does during the interrogations old ideas get repeated I don't believe his family relative is a wrestler my immediate goto is jelly roll Danny looks just like jelly roll I don't know that's what I saw and new connections are uncovered everyone thinks that dedri is one of the Jackson family people are saying the Scarecrow I love that I'm pretty sure it's for me though at first I thought that was a huge reveal I even turned to my boyfriend and said wow that was a huge reveal the interview is presented like HUD is throwing a wrench into an otherwise foregone conclusion but the clue while scarecrow doesn't matter because there's also a scarecrow on dedrick's wine seller clue and even if only one scarecrow is a Michael Jackson reference the cast won't need either to confirm dedrick's identity after his performance and his interrogation was your celebrity relative in the movie The Whiz which one is that who else was in the W the first one was with Diana Ross right yeah who who else was in that one had a big cat lion you had the Tin Man a yes or a [Music] no yeah he just asked which one and then you said yes if it sounds confusing it's because of is while some characters feel confident after getting questioned if there's still asking wrestling questions at this stage I'm golden they asked about a ballerina they asked about a firefighter like they have no idea who I am others realize for the first time that they're totally screwed I wonder if Naomi relative was ever in the brat pack was your celebrity relative in pretty and pink somebody in that room has an inkling of who I am I'm just hoping that they have the wrong member does your celebrity relative have red hair guys are thinking Carr up I don't see it Adam's feeling screwed too not because everyone knows his relative but because he doesn't know anyone else's I don't even know who is in PR [ __ ] these question question are Naomi is being asked it seems like they are very pointed and directed and I have no clue what anybody's talking about if Adam knew anything about pop culture or even just what an actor is I would consider him an actor Randy Jackson he could be the front runner because the cast isn't any closer to his identity than they were on night one we are certain that Adam is related to an actor is your celebrity relative in the movie The Inter internship yes he said yes he said yeah he said yes later Adam asks Naomi to share her answers with him is your celebrity relative famous for country [Music] music no she refuses but at least he finds someone to blame other than himself when he lands in the bottom two at the end of the interrogations Naomi put me there she had the opportunity to saved me and she didn't help not cool also if Naomi thinks Hud's mom is rocker Sheree Curry then why' she say he was lying about his relative being a country singer I'm asking the editors in the bottom tube with Adam is his ally HUD Shane wins the challenge but loses his Netflix standup special ever been interrogated before Shane yeah all my exes and why did all those exes feel the need to interrogate you I'm a man of manipulation after his win Shane sits down for his one-on-one with c I Doug but once again when the world needed him most he vanished is there any of your colleagues that you would really like to know something [Music] about we never go back to their conversation that's all we see at the Adam Ruins Everything Again Mansion to secure his position as the least liked person there Adam gets to work fighting with Danny about dedrick's wine seller clue have I not told you enough you told me a lot showed me nothing want no I'll never forget this so then don't he doesn't have to give me anything but he definitely doesn't have to give me attitude threatening dedri and Danny shared me your clue and I got you okay what I'm supposed to cry and tossing out more bad Randy Jackson theories that's a d it's a d so that's Randy elsewhere HUD finally does something hi my name's HUD I'm going door to door and campaigning that no one votes for HUD although So Adam becoming the guesser is already set in stone thanks to his personality so in another way HUD stayed doing nothing just like Adam accuses Naomi of doing it's not my fault you were in the bottom two I didn't put you there there's things you could do but you're just choosing not to but when HUD decides that Naomi is plotting Adam's demise too enthusiastically he does something for real if he doesn't have anybody we can get him out natural selection let nature take its course flipping Naomi I thought we were going to ride this out together she doesn't have much allegiancy kind of upsetting me go straight for Naomi what do you have for Naomi I got nothing I got something before in the Wine Cellar wine seller Shane picks McKenzie's clue instead of Adam's because he thinks Adam is about to be eliminated just like every other clue pulled this season Shane figures out the first half but not the second so you got 6'6 country star who looks like a champion one now I have no idea what that is gorilla house Ice Cube who cares what happened during the graphic making process that turned the monkey face into this Shane leaves the seller confident in who McKenzie's relative is and it seems like he's right did you one yeah I did did you decipher it yes I did it was the 6 fo6 I'm going to play it cool but as soon as I can take Shane out I am I don't understand the second half of McKenzie's clue either but the only tall country singer I know is Blake Shelton is that anything at the guess off Adam Guess-Off/Outro is the guesser he targets Naomi shocking the cast but not the audience thanks to the magic of editing Naomi may think that her clue was dead once graci Lou got eliminated but uh sorry to say got it right here I didn't get to see Naomi graci L told me a little bit of it it was a broad tea in the backpack so broad te yeah she kind of does look like luckily I have no reason to believe that HUD knows who I am at this point and even if he did I don't think he's going to tell Adam um mly rall I don't know who that person is mly rall she was in the brat pack I'm really hoping he's going to be the guesser because he's obviously going to go home which is fantastic but no one could predict that to make his guess Adam would need to read Molly ringwald's name off his wrist like he's Leonard Shelby I believe your claim to fame is Molly Ringwald I don't know who Molly Ringwald is I'm Molly Ringwald and Naomi Burns is my cousin anyway sorry Naomi I hope you had a great time Naomi was a good player never would have thought super Shifty and F but it could be hard to survive if your wine seller clue gets pulled too soon or if both members of The Alliance you got into to betray you in the same episode that said it seems like Hud's clue might have left with Naomi but that's what I thought about her clue a few weeks ago at least now that she's out Naomi can call Gracie Lou and say how crazy it was that they were cast together because she clearly wants to talk about it mine was the redhead question cuz I thought it was Molly Ringwald you kind of look like her I do yeah dude that's awesome your lips and like your eyes like you can get a lot like Molly Ringold I really do when be cool if I was Bly rainold because there's all those John CER Clues down there as she leaves Naomi tells most of the cast that she's glad to have met them to the rest she says I feel like I want to stab two men in their feet with pencils that aren't very sharp having already ruined one former allies game Adam ends the episode by taking down the other though this time it's unintentional I wouldn't have got that far if it wasn't from a guy so big uh big shout out to HUD damn Adam went up there and put my name out there on blast HUD you're Savage dog she had my clue she had your back so hard can HUD do enough damage control to go back to not doing anything now that someone's finally guessed a relative correctly will more follow is dedri related to Randy Jackson Randy Jackson's a producer so you have the headphones up there and there's a little drum kit right in the middle of it
