Bissouma Responded In The BEST WAY POSSIBLE!

what's going on people we are to TV back here for another episode of the five takeaways where we're going to see five things that we can learn from the 4N dring of Everton on Saturday and the first one that we're going to speak about is Relentless older Bear yeah obviously Wilson Wilson um unbelievable I would say unbelievable but good really um opening 90 minutes for Wilson OD bear or 67 minutes or so um which he started the reason why it's called Relentless is because in that um minutes that he played for Spurs he had seven had six attempted dribbles completing two of them which is more than anyone else on the pitch and every time he got the ball was looking to drive at his fullback get at them ask questions of the Everton defense and that was really encouraging yes maybe he could have done better with final ball and his chance creation all that kind of stuff but he was definitely Relentless is the word I would use for his performance and if he can do that and improve his quality we got real player on our hands yeah offered us something different that most of our other Wingers haven't provided for us sheer presence on the left left hand side always there in terms of um you know being available being an extra man and just Relentless in terms of trying to take on his man trying to take on his man trying to take on his man I would like to see better end product from him but it's definitely a good start in the SP shot yeah apologies for the noise in the background guys um next up we're going to talk about setpiece variation yeah and in this one we obviously scored from um set pieces but we had a lot of different um attempts we had 12 corners on the day um a few free kick I think uh 20 um 12 free kicks as well was it free kicks 15 free kicks as well and there was a lot of different kind of variation I felt in how we were trying to attack the goal and hurt Everton's um backline obviously we did get the goal through Romero's header in the in the in the second half with the Madison uh Corner heading just outside the six-yard box but we were taking a lot of short Corners we were making different angles for crosses passing it to parro passing it to son son had an attempt from a short corner which is uh which got deflected and nearly um he nearly scored there was a few different kind of variations from free kicks as well and it was and really nice to see Tottenham trying different things and obviously it did pay off in the end um and I wonder if that's something we going to be see going forward Montgomery Chris Montgomery is being credited with sorry Nick Montgomery has been credited with adding a few different variations from set pieces and maybe we'll starting to see that yeah I'm sure it wasn't the goal for Chris Montgomery the coach Nick Montgomery yeah uh is exactly what I was about to say you know he's um they've come out and said you know he's been working on defensive and offensive set pieces and you know we didn't come under too much pressure from the defensive set pieces yesterday but you could definitely tell a difference from the offensive ones and that is definitely a credit to him and uh yeah I really like to to see the delivery from Madison on a consistent basis yesterday as well and I think for for too long we've just been trying this short Corner over and over again without much success so it was good to see finally some some success from set pieces yesterday uh next up we're going to be be talking about Dei with Madison yeah and this is something that we've been calling for um in preseason and start of the season in these kind of games we up up against a low block have that little bit of quality there extra quality that other Avenue to attack and that could really um pay off um in in in droves and I think it did in this on this occasion I was saw some SP fans for the season they always had the kind of belief it was going to be either Dei or Madison and you couldn't play them together in Midfield but the belief with Dei having quite good physicality and if we're dominating the ball you need the extra quality and we had them together they had six key passes between them four for Dei two for maderson on the day so they created an abundance of chances um both obviously both getting assists as well and I think it was just a um evidence that in these kind of games when teams are sitting back when we're going to have you know 70 plus% possession of the ball we're going to need the extra bit of quality on on the pitch to try and open up defenses and we had it in this game and it paid off yeah I think you know the people that were saying it's either going to be mad or Dei I think they have a case when we're playing you know the real top sides and when we're going to have to have our wits about us even more but when like you know like you say in games where we're going to be dominating possession where we're going to be having over 70% of the line share of The Possession as well I feel like we should be playing two attacking midfielders in there to really try and break those teams down we saw it so many times last season where we just struggled to break teams down on a consistent basis and I think we might have found our answer next up we're going to be talking about front foot Romero yeah and Romero had an exception game in this one obviously was on the score sheet um nearly got on the uh score sheet in the first half as well with a brilliant taken chance the control on his chest and a volley but he was really on the front foot in this one looking to attack Everton not just on the ball with his amazing passing ability some really beautiful passes over the top to James Madison who should have maybe done better with it on a couple of occasions with some beautiful um long passes from Romero some really good sprayed pass out to OD but he made six tackles on the day which is more than anyone else for Spurs as well which shows his font foot nature you know a lot of you know if you look at stats from center backs um throughout the league a lot of the time they'll be quite low because a lot of the time they they're protected from their midfielders and they're not the ones actually doing the tackling but when it comes to Romero he's one he's not protected by his mid he's not protected he's always on the front foot looking to Nick the ball looking to get involved in the tackles and the jewels and exactly what he did this one um that stat is on on itself shows how on the front foot he was and on the ball he was exceptional could have had more than a goal in the den could have had assist as well I think he's the best front foot Midfield uh defender in the league in terms of pure front foot Defender stepping out into Midfield being aggressive uh showing the ability on the ball as well and I think he dominated that game in every facet from a defensive standpoint and an offensive standpoint so I think we're really lucky to have a Defender like coutti Romero didn't show himself in the best light in terms of the uh defensive goal from defending standpoint when we did concede against Leicester but I think he responded in the most perfect way as a player that we going to speak to in a minute but Romero I mean I I can't wax lyrical about him enough because he's just he's just another level that ball playing ability like what Defender can can play balls over the top like he did like two to Madison absolutely pinpoint Inc we could be talking about a Creator midfielder doing some of stuff Romero did yesterday you know getting some of the passes and some of the attempts on goal touch to get in that volley as well it's just like everything he did yesterday was was so SK silky and perfection it's like a season Striker that that touch so the Finish may maybe not but not but the touch was um so brilliant for Romero and hopefully more performances like this and last but not least we're going to be talking about the best reply from bis yeah and it was obviously a difficult week for basuma a different couple of weeks I should say being suspended for the opening game of the season um having a lot of things called into question when it comes to his attitude and um his professionalism and also you know standing in the squad um and obviously he you know if it wasn't for Benton CO's concussion injury he might not even made the starting lineup but he got that little um open door because of the injury and decided him to Chuck him straight back in and show his trust in him and I thought he repaid his trust with a top performance obviously scored the opening goal with an unbelievable strike from the edge of the area which we haven't seen much from basuma since he's joined and I thought he applied himself brilliantly I thought he was top-notch on and off the ball it was like the basuma of old and if anel was looking for a response to bass's actions he might well have got it so let's hope he can continue in this vein this can be a turning point for him um but a really brilliant response to a lot of the troubles he's been having of late absolutely and I've been a big critic of Eve basuma over the past well quite a long time to be honest um I don't think he's been good enough whether it be attitude whether it be application on the pitch as well his form hasn't been anywhere near good enough since the first 10 games of the season but maybe this kind of situation is to kick up the ass he he needed because he's responded in the most perfect manner you saw he ran straight up to an po you saw he apologized to the fans as well in his celebration and he had the performance to match it as well so I think um the most perfect way to respond but as an says it's not about stopping here you need to keep going keep going keep going keep providing your worth and proving your Worth to the team and then maybe we'll have that six that we most desperately need because he's got all the qualities to do it it's just he hasn't shown on a consistent basis so hopefully he can kick on from here um so that is the most perfect response from bis that is your five takeaways let me know your thoughts in
