this doesn't sound good Trent Williams apparently will not return to the 49ers until they adjust or redo his contract and this hold out could bleed into the regular season according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler uh who reports that Trent Williams is golfing at home and he has a lot of money and is not particularly eager uh to play for the 49ers unless he's playing as the highest paid left tackle in the NFL um um and knowing the 49ers they will drag this out as long as possible and make their minds up week eight and finally bring him back I don't really know what the ners are thinking but maybe they're thinking look it's like Trent Williams isn't particularly in football shape right now he misses a couple of games every year anyway why don't we um save some money keep finding him uh save a couple of game checks and then you know weeks five resign him or redo his deal isn't that what you expect I mean they're not actually going to let him retire cuz that's what he's threatening here that they know they can't win a playoff game or maybe even get to the playoffs without Trent Williams but maybe they think they can survive for a week or two or a month can they beat the Jets without Trent Williams I don't know but maybe they feel like having him week one is already out of the question all I know is that Trent Williams Christian mcaffrey similar players similar situations Christian mcaffry wanted a redone deal he wanted more guaranteed money he got it in two weeks in addition the head coach ended up going to his freaking wedding Trent Williams wants a re a new deal more guaranteed money not happening yet maybe he should get married again or something do do something have a bar mitzvah invite Kyle Shanahan see if he shows up once Kyle Shanahan showed up to Christian mcaffry wedding you knew something was I mean it's like yeah they're friends but also Christian's dad played for Kyle's Dad it's almost like they're in the same family Trent Williams I don't know that you're in the Shanahan family and you might have to keep golfing for a while hey come see me at shabbo [Music]
