like Jeremiah trod Jr got to be starting they've got to be starting uh this year and maybe it'll be you know four or five weeks in the season but I think a guy like Jeremiah trer is on a path to start see it's not going to happen maybe on Def the defensive side of theall we will but not on the offensive side of the ball and by all accounts I'm okay with it did the offense sounds like they are playing so well right now that I think we're fine I think we'll be fine I I you know I get very worried when you have a new offensive coordinator a new system and then you have to travel week one and in that way and I also think going into this game if you look at it I think there are some battles that are done I I just think there are some battles that are done I think the the battle at on the offensive line at Ray guard is over I I don't see how beckton is not going to be your starting Right Guard to start week one so I think that battle is kind of over I think if there was any battle um at the second tight end position which I don't know if there really was uh calcatera has won that and he's already hurt again um then if you look at you know cornerback it looks I mean Isaiah Rogers is starting every day as a starter on the outside it's clearly his position so I think I think you have these positions that are already locked up now you have Zack Bon who starts every day or every day of practice he's starting with uh Devin white um if he plays his as bad as he played last game I don't see how they could keep him there I really think at one point Jeremiah troter Jr is going to get a chance to play to start and when he goes out there he hasn't given up the spot I truly truly believe that you know I I can't wait to see Jeremiah trer Jr he he had a great joint practice yesterday he he jumped the route had a great interception uh the the thing about troter Jr is this you you can tell he he belongs he belongs in the NFL he he's he's ahead he's well taught well schooled well uh smart kid uh I love that his linebacker coach says he never makes the same mistake twice I think that's very very important all right and then you know if if you look besides him uh preseason game and he said that he took a lot of mental reps he took a lot of mental reps at what was going on in slot and what was going on at safety this is key this is huge if they go ahead and put Cooper dein at safety behind now when I say this let me clarify cuz I people think I'm I'm saying you put Dee in and he starts right away over re blanket ship I'm not calling for him to start over Reed blanket ship I'm calling for him to start behind read blanket ship hell you could even put him you could even say all right well Bradberry is a second safety or avonte MX is a second safety uh you know and and dein's thei third that's fine let him work his way up but he needs reps of safety cuz I think that's still the quickest way for dein to get on the field if he could play both in the slot and at at at safety cuz Q is Q is taking it man quinon Mitchell is your slot corner right now there's no way the Eagles are not going to play him they want him on the field they they they put him in the slot to figure a way to get him on the field and by all counts he's been good he started as a second team slot corner and it took him about a week and a half to move up over Avante itics in the he's I I need to see more of them than than last week you know I thought the first time watching the Baltimore game I don't know why I thought he did so good but I did I was like oh yeah John WIS good but when I went back and watch it I was like yeah he you know first couple plays on the first drive I think he made a good catch but after that not really anything and and it wasn't like he played bad but he just didn't get any opportunities because flick it picket W was dumping everything off I want to see Johnny Wilson between the 20s I know what he could do in the Red Zone I know he get high point a ball and go up and get it but can he get open between the 20s can he get separation that's what I want to see from him that's a key component for me with him because if he cannot play if he's not ready I do think the eagles need to consider going out and getting another wide receiver I really like Briton kovi but you it's hard to convince me that he's big enough to take a full season of of a beating uh and taking those hits that's what worries me he he's he could be as good as Cole Beasley in my opinion he just it's just the amount of hits and wear and tear on his body that you worry about so he's going to be interesting to watch so those rookies to me uh this is going to be a game really about them and watching what they do the other guys that aren't rookies you know you know of course we want to see more I need to see more Nolan Smith I I want to see what he could do I was shocked that Vic fangio said what he said about Nolan Smith he he kind of poo pooed po poo poo whatever the hell you call it he he on noan Smith performance I'm just going to keep it real he was like he wasn't impressed and he was like yeah yeah you know was a third string second half yeah you know it was like whatever he didn't it wasn't a big deal he it he didn't seem that impressed by noan Smith I thought Nolan Smith came out in the second half and did what you needed him to do you know he made like three plays in a row one of them was a sack and uh I want to see more from Nolan Smith if noan Smith could go out and have another good game because I consider it a good game last game yeah it was against third stringers but he's on the field if he didn't do anything against the third stringers we would be saying he stinks so at least he showed up but I want to see more from Nolan Smith I want to see more from niobe um I think it's very very important we've got issues on the defensive side of the ball and I still think we've got issues at that edge rusher position so can Nolan Smith step up can we see Bryce Huff step up I'm I I my whole take on Bryce Huff is you know some people were like ah this is bad this is bad I'm not so so much that low with Bryce Huff I'm just more I don't know I'm hands off I don't know I'm I'm just in the middle I have no no opinion either way I just hope that he's he's good and I hope that he plays good so it's going to be another interesting game tomorrow and uh we got an interesting game tomorrow then we're going to have that that week three preseason game to me that's going to be all about Cooper Dee and whether he plays or not um but I think tomorrow is another chance for these rookies especially Jeremiah tro J uh to go out and solidify himself if trer Jr goes on has a big game uh then I'm sorry I got to find a way to get him on the
