Can Jim Harbaugh SAVE The Chargers? | 2024 NFL Preview

alright moving on to the Los Angeles Chargers  now this one wasn't even a sale of two seasons   this one was a shit show from the beginning and  everyone knew it was gonna be a shit show from the   beginning because for whatever reason they decided  yeah we may have just blown one of the greatest   playoff leads ever but let's bring Brandon  Stanley back anyways why not only to end up with a   absolutely horrid record of 5 and 2 and it took  losing by 1,000 points to the Oakland Raiders on   Thursday Night Football damn near killing all  Michaels in front of all of us so finally get   Brannis Daley off the team out goes Brannis Daley  in comes Jim Harbaugh my spirit animal the head   coach coming over to take over this team and I'm  so curious to see what this office looks like but   before we get there is it more likely to you that  they make the Super Bowl or they miss the playoffs   all together well for me I can't say any other way  you're gonna miss the playoffs miss the wildcards   miss all star game miss it all damn all all of  it just all downhill for the fall all downhill   for the Chargers all right tell me why well who  they have often pretty fair place to start to give   additional context for that the Chargers either  released or traded the top three targets for   Justin Herbert last year Keenan Allen Austin Egler  and Jared Everett are all gone every single one of   them leaving a receiving core of Quinn Johnson  their disappointing first round pick last year   Joshua Palmer and rookie lad Mcconkey making up  that top three so when he says who do they have   on offense that is a very legitimate question  asked the who the hell is Justin Herbert going   to throw the ball to because I I I I can't seem  to figure this one out unless they know something   about Quentin Johnson that we don't maybe Labma  cocky is gonna be the greatest rookie receiver   we've ever seen or Joshua Palmer is secretly  Devonte Adams and we just don't know like I   I just don't I don't know where it's at I'm not  gonna I'm not gonna roll with you on today they   gonna miss all the things including the playoff  game but I do have them missing a playoffs a lot   of people have them as like a oh maybe this is  the year they still want from the Chiefs maybe   they can get 10 wins they're over under eight and  a/2 maybe they can get the 11 bang the over no no   no no no no I like Jim Hardballs much the next  guy love them even I even like Greg Roman the   offense coordinator he's my caveman superhero as  a coach and it's like even with the receivers we   might not have to worry about receivers if it's  one thing Greg Rome is gonna do is run the goddamn   football this man loves running the football  so the point that every year that Greg Roman   has been an offensive coordinate this is dating  back to 2011 he has been top four in rushing   yards for his team every single season with the  exception of that first year in 2011 that was the   Alex Smith rehabilitation year so that they had to  let him throw that that a lot to figure out with   Alex Smith there's a chance that Justin Herbert  ends up becoming the greatest version of what we   thought Jared Goff used to be what people still  believe rock pretty is for some reason just the   game manager quarterback hey bro keep handing  his ball off don't even look down field don't   worry about it we're gonna run 40 times a game  and if we need you to make some throws you'll   make some throws later maybe that's a possibility  you do you do realize they don't have estimates   that's an athlete back there no more they lead in  Russia they don't they got a my man they got the   Gus bust Gus Edwards who Ravens fans adore and  are actually pretty upset that they lost who had   13 touchdowns last year funny enough for y'all  that um so for y'all that acts last year while   Lamar's touchdown totals were low it's cause Gus  Edwards suck all the goal on touchdowns that's why   all his touchdowns like under 10 yards they got  him the constantly injured JK Dobbins and their   third string running back is Kimani Vidal who  never heard of that guy nice little 5 8 running   back that is that is a fair question of y'all  don't have a No. 1 back y'all don't have Frank   Gore or even sub supplement that Justin Herbert's  not a running quarterback nobody's Lamar Jackson   but like Justin Herbert's not a runner and that's  before he got plants art fasciitis so where are   these Russian yards coming from I don't see Gus  Edwards leading the league in rushing not I can't   see that either and you're also not gonna tell  me that JK Dobbins who has been hurt essentially   every single year since he's been drafted into  league God bless him I wish him the best but it's   just difficult for me to believe that that's gonna  be your bell cow back every single down coming   into the season it's just hard for me it's hard  for me to see and then on the defense they lost   Kenneth Murray and Michael Davis so the defense  is basically rookies it's a lot of young guys on   a defense but I gotta add some concepts to that  though so they were in cap hell coming into this   season like negative 34.5 in cap space coming  into this offseason they at 20 million now and   have 53 million in dead cap so as much shit as  we just gave the Broncos a couple seconds ago   they're not doing too hot themselves so they also  have a lot of ground to make up on that on that   point so I think eventually Jim Harbaugh and crew  are gonna turn this team around eventually at some   point this ain't the year though y'all we got we  might have to wait a year or two I'm leaning more   towards the two towards the two hey the more time  I have to make fun of Justin Herbert stands the   better because they're so goddamn sensitive and  they make it so easy is there anything else about   the charges I need to cover before we get out of  here I just got that got the easiest schedule the   second easiest schedule and they're gonna lose  the most yeah damn all the points that all the   points that we just need so oh my Lord this is yes  second easiest schedule I'm trying to they're over   under eight and a/2 that has to be a hard ball  pick because there's no way even even if you're   the biggest Justin Herbert fan in the world  there's no way you can look at that receiving   core and be like yep nine wins like nah dog nah  I don't see it alright so Monday February 10th,   2025 the headline of the Los Angeles Charger  season is blank where do we go from here that's   it like you got slapped in the face by a brick  don't know where it came from hey you just gotta   hope the ground doesn't fall too far and Jim  Harbaugh didn't leave all his coaching skills   in Michigan but if there is disappointing  as we both think they're going to be I think   the narrative is gonna switch on hot ball very  quickly and it's gonna be the shitty I've stayed   in school question Mark type headline I'm gonna  think that's a little too early give them a like   we said give them a year to look at this roster  they cop right now it's gonna take a minute but   that's what the that's what the headlines are  gonna be and it is what it is at that point
