Plucky upstart that beat Rogers and Lambo to knock them out of the playoffs to making the playoffs and making it to year and now maybe a Super Bowl team for them to win the way they did and I'll go to the Old Line guy first here I I saw you on the Twitter uh you were fired up about dirty it felt like a secret I shouldn't tell anybody I madean 45 yards uh Montgomery had in overtime alone yeah I me you want to talk about imposing your will a tie game goes to overtime something you this is an even matchup there wasn't nothing even and I heard 49ers or uh Rams Fans talking about hey we should have got the ball back hey after that to you you shouldn't get the ball back that was the moralizer look at the way they ran this right down the throat and they finish it off right behind s to win the game and the now the luxury of the options that they have on offense you've got gibes and Montgomery in the back field Williams yesterday J J looked like the guy we heard about sometimes Camp chatter is not real yeah there it is oh my gosh his his nipples almost popped out the button right there the the thing that I love about what we saw from Detroit work was they're still themselves they're unapologetically the team that Dan Campbell has spilt when it got ugly when it was time to get overtime they felt like they had worn the Rams down and they didn't turn right they said we're going to turn around we're going to hand this football off and you have to stop us it's demoralizing to know what a team is going to do especially when it's the run and not be able to stop it you got punched in the tip of your nose and them tears stop them they just kept coming that's what happened man I've been in these situations and it was devastating that I was going to have to sit next to this man after watching the de cuz you know how that goes in the locker room yeah here's the problem though right when you think about the Rams from from their standpoint you got to figure that out bro y'all know this what goes on in the Monday meeting oh they coming again whoever you play next they F to test this exact thing Detroit lived in the bane of Dan Campbell that's what they want to do they want to blood people if you go back to week one last year they ran it well against the Kansas City Chiefs and was able to get a win as well but the bottom line is this man for the Rams who I think is still going to be there in the end the Rams played well give give Stafford all World they lose n and it sounds like he'll be out for a while Adam will have an update on that they lose offensive lineman and you're trying to you're trying to block big 97 that was kind of hard to do but this Lions team that has now not a burden like pressure is a privilege they have the weight of expectations on their shoulders and they they showed you who they were there crazy enough to be really good yeah would not surprise me one bit they are definitely that all right more to come as we are looking forward to England Patriots this was a team that many had penciled in as perhaps the worst in the National Football League this season and who knows what will happen from here but I know this much they went into Cincinnati on Sunday they limited possessions by running it they ran it well they gained 170 on the ground the lens that many will look at this game through is what's wrong with Cincinnati it's another slow start to the year I get it but the Pats didn't turn it over they ran it and they get a victory that many did not see coming salute to them a game ball from Robert Craft and a big hug when it's done how about the Texans a rematch of the final regular season game from a year ago and the new guys both showed up and showed out Joe Mixon and Stefan dicks both scored I think that's significant ni Collins did not but when the Texans needed a first down late in the game that dot right there from CJ St who did he look for Collins he was targeted more and made more grabs than anybody else with the Texans just say that's a heck of a throw and catch and that speaks to the kind of uh kind of connection that those two have that should not be underestimated I just want to say that I'm happy for Sam darn okay Samu when you get drafted that high and play that position and you go to New York and it doesn't work out and then there are other stops and it doesn't work out you tend to be cast aside and people just side that you can't do it well Minnesota gave him an opportunity and Shout to my friend KY BR from uh NFL Network who said uh that week one is uh is a liar well I don't know if Minnesota's the truth but I know what I saw out of the Vikings in week one and darnold he completes his first 12 passes maybe the Giants are bad doesn't seem like it reach their uniforms weren't very good but Minnesota and Sam Dar get the victory I'm happy for him I hope that the good fortune continues speaking of uh a guy that played well at the quarterback position Baker Mayfield not a lot of chatter about the team that won that Division and won a playoff game last year sorry kelse this team has weapons they got Evans and they got Godwin and they've got a versatile backfield and Baker Mayfield had four touchdown passes on a day when quarterback play around the National Football League was not great in fact the numbers are pretty staggering there are only 33 touchdown passes in week one today couple of years ago they had the mid-60s were on track for the fewest touchdown passes in week one since 2006 more than half the starters on Sunday had fewer than 200 passing yards I don't know necessarily what's going on I'm going to ask Troy aand about it a little bit later and fellas I would ask you about one of the performances that was all Sunday that was particularly poor and that's deshun Watson in Cleveland and and swag you told me and I don't have to be afraid that you'll say the dude can't do it you're not prepared to say he can't do it yet but what are you seeing also not seeing from him yeah I'm about a cou I'm about a couple weeks out from from seeing if he can do it listen there was a lot of things that were not working in Deshawn Watson favor and as guys that cover football we have to be honest about those two the the tackles were out but the interior pressure was the issue he had to deal with a lot of that obviously he had some bad throws but if you look at Cleveland and the plan like we talked about on the other side with Dallas trying to neutralize miles Garrett they let michah Parsons have his way against this offensive line Deshawn Watson didn't look great and the brunt of all of it is going to fall on the quarterback the quarterback on the other side understands that very well but when you look at a Cleveland team that invested this much in a quarterback and now you're four years into that and you haven't produced anything that's a res resembling success outside of when Joe Flaco played for you there's a lot of questions that's about to start creeping into that building you referenced Flo it's it's difficult not to think back to the last regular season game that team played on that field it was against the Jets it was a game Joe flacko quarterback they won it they hung 37 on the Jets and they made the playoffs DeShaun Watson gets booed off the field at half time I get Dallas can make you look bad I get all that not that bad uh yeah I don't know I don't know if week one's a liar or not but I just I don't know what's the truth about what's going to get this man back to the form he enjoyed four years I I don't know if he can get back to that form right that that's why you give him the contract that you did that's why you guarantee him 230 million which at the time was the most we'd ever SE because we watched him on a bad football team be the second best quarterback in this entire league behind Patrick Mahomes and yesterday was a tough day and he was under duress but at some point you have to show me a glimpse of what you used to be you have to make a throw that makes me feel like okay that's that 2020 stuff you have to get outside the pocket create something in a second play opportunity that says you've gone above and beyond the X's and O's we haven't seen that from deshun Watson and I'm with Marcus I'm not ready to say that he can't do it what I do know is I saw a team very similar to this do it with a guy that was trying out for Inside the NFL in August last year yeah and so with that if I'm sitting in that locker room I'm not one of those guys that likes to talk about his old girlfriend but that doesn't mean that some people don't miss their old girlfriend yeah he he looks uncomfortable it looks like the timing is off it looks like the system is something that he's still trying to figure out and in Houston he played so well and he was duress in Houston too yes he found ways to make plays so I don't really understand why that's happening but it it you know the quarterback more than anything is so uh prisoner to the people around you to the system to the plays call I think that it just doesn't look like it's clicking right now I don't know what stansky and Cleveland needs to do to get it going I know I got the Browns defense on my fantasy team so I'm very upset coach Schwarz I like the transition we work so hard in Cleveland to finally have hope and uh they'll get back on
