it doesn't get much better than what we've got for you right now so introducing first from Phoenix he's a Derby City one pocket Champion he's a US Open one pocket champion and in 2019 ladies and gentlemen his career was recognized with his induction into the one pocket Hall of Fame he's sponsored by Savage billiard gear aramith royalty Corp metro sports bar he's known as the freezer it's Scott Frost his opponent's from New Orleans he's the reigning and defending Derby City one pocket Champion he's also a US Open one-pocket Champion having done that twice sponsored by game tight clothing ladies and gentlemen it's T-Rex Tony Joan all right here we go race to three 62nd clock alternate break and we're going to send it up to the combox to Mark Wilson and the voice of acats Billy inard Don take it away Mark tremendous one pocket fir power on display next and today we are joined by my personal broadcast hero and Legend billian Cardona I'm Mark Wilson Billy is honor to have you here for such a dynamic match well I'm not under selling it that's the way it is well anyways I do appreciate that you know because at my age I had very little relevancy left but you make me feel really good and I appreciate that thank you so much and let's take a look who the the two competitors here Tony Shan and Scott Frost Scott Frost just turned 48 years old and his uh pool career kind of like is on the downswing a little bit at 48 he's but he's still playing upper echelon pool and don't don't get that wrong he's really going to be a a very very very strong competitor in in this match and I expect him to do either win it or be a closely closely contested match T-Rex has had some health issues he's won the lag but he's been in such so much high stakes combat over the last couple of years you know he's playing perhaps his best pool [Music] ever six ball kind of leaked down toward Scott's pocket didn't sell out I always get a kick out of watching Tony Lumber around around the table it's real slow and then all of a sudden Bo boom bunch of stuff happens from nothing the most calm guy in the world then right away Frost is try to make the determination if he can hit the 11 ball I don't think he can the 15 the ball in front between the Q ball and the 11 ball most likely precludes him from being able to strike the 11 he would like to but I don't think it's available he's taking another look I don't think it's it's there but of course at our vantage point you it's hard for us to determine that both players Uber aggressive and they know they can't lay back and just play Passive defense against the opponent cuz these guys make things happen from nowhere what a great shot yeah they're very ni executed and uh one of the things you really look for after the shot is executed like that is where did the Q ball end up cuz that's so important when we're playing one pocket controlling that white ball which he done did so nicely so he's negated the advantage of the break here on that opening shot now he would he would have had a three rail cushion around the table and then Fallen back at the six if it wasn't for the position of the 11 ball so that option now is no longer available he's in a he's in a predicament here Mark he's going for the one rail behind the six now he has hit this very accurately hitting the long rail then dropping under the Six B he I don't think he has the speed needed to get to where he wants to go and was completely willing to take a foul just in an effort to not lose the game now Frost would like to put him back somewhere in the same spot that he shot from but uh I don't know if he can that's what he's going to decide whether he can do that or not if he can I expect him to put him back somewhere in the same spot that Tony just shot from cuz Tony didn't like that spot might as well put him back there you know right you forced him into a foul yeah Scott's looking over there so Scott's going to kick three rails just take a foul I just try to get the Q ball in between the two and the five here that's excellent call Mark uhoh let's take let's take a look at the speed of the shot nicely done once again perfect okay now he does have a bank on the five he can draw the CU ball into the stack that'll give him some relief and maybe possibly not pocket the five and put it in a threatening position would be the ideal result that he would be looking for here well he really didn't get the position of the five that he wanted to but uh he's worked his way out of the Trap somewhat now Scott does have a bank on the five he finally came to rest in an ideal position for for Scott you know he's can he can do some damage here he's taking a look he doesn't want to make anything he just wants to bank the five over and he's taking a look at a possible combination in the stack markk just to open balls and if he can pin the Q ball maybe say to the four ball here yeah in that fashion it just opens a few things here that might uh be favorable on his next visit to the table now take a look at the that 12 ball that's the 8 10 and the 12 that may be on but the C Ball looks like it's frozen to the four ball which would then preclude him from hitting the eight into the 10 so therefore that option may not even be available if it is on and here we can say Scott did a tremendous job getting the Q ball there because it might have been on had he had a little now Tony had to take another foul that's how good Scott shot was well he's not going to win this battle of safety considering the position of the five that's a nice ball it's conveniently positioned for Scott to come off the five and put him right back to where he is now so therefore Tony isn't going to win this little battle he may win the war but not this battle this sc's going to two rail the five no he's just going to play the Q ball I was surprised to see him do that why wouldn't he put him back to where the Q ball was shot from I actually thought he might just take an intentional foul cuz Tony's on the first foul at that point and so Tony's going to be the first one forced to play uh some type of a defense to the wrong side of the pile is he looking to bank the five or is he looking to kick I don't think the Kick's available the closest to the pocket that the 11 ball is sitting in will stop him from having any thoughts about kicking had the 11 been further on off away from the pocket then he got have possibly kicked behind it but I don't think he can do that considering how close the 11 B is to the bucket and he's going to have he's going to need to do something that's effective here because he doesn't really have many options available to him and the option that he chooses he better make good with nice shot there wow Tony has a such an excellent Bank pool game and it shows up so many times when you're playing one pocket banking is really a a skill that you need to develop if you're going to play good one pocket and Tony Shan certainly has that skill now Tony knows he can buard off the 11 and send the six ball towards his pocket the problem is the Q ball getting up above the nine here which would happen quite easily if he had the pace on that so yeah exactly yeah he's not going to hit this with a lot of speed I don't believe he's he's addressing the table and looking to shoot that particular shot that you brought up he went back away there's a lot of things going through his mind right now this is not an easy shot to execute because the uh the possibility of losing the cute ball was so apparent here so this is going to be a very very difficult shot to get good results with W look what he did he really he he he's not going to really lik this but he's he's able to move a few balls away from the pocket and I really think it was one of these things it was the less of the evil you everything was going to be tough he might as well take a chance here to make something happen sometimes you rearrange the balls and you just don't sell out every time it works out good yeah that was an excellent analysis Mark in other words when you're in a tough spot like that shoot the shot that's going to give you the best chance of getting away with if you happen to get a little lucky right so therefore that's the shot to shoot it doesn't seem right but sometimes you got to you got to like it depend on a little luck to get out of A desperate situation right it's a risk reward nothing's 100% but what was my best option than certainly playing the freezer you've got the you've got to play offense whenever possible now this is the most important shot in this inning right here the one one coming up right now for frost he's opting to play Shape for the for the six who was a well fought out smart shot he knows what he's going to get with that shot had he done anything else he may have been throwing his money up in the air if you will right so Frost just scored the first ball of the match but it was all set up by his opening return from the break how good he did with that and got Tony in a bad spot he got a little kiss there you know and didn't really hit that shot exactly where where he needed to and he end up selling out a nice bank for Shan could be a costly one as well once again Shany utilizing his banking skills quency as I mentioned before banking is such an important tool in your bag to have the banking skill which he has certainly developed that well yeah he he went deep in the bank poool tournament now he's deep here in the one pocket tournament but in the meantime these two guys met in the bang poool tournament and who do you think won the tournament oh won the match Frost won the match uh but don't get me wrong Frost is an excellent Bank pool player excellent and he beat Tony earlier in the tournament you'd have to be excellent to beat Tony you better believe it and you'd have to be excellent to beat Frost too and he's going to have the he's going to have the distance yes he does just getting there beautifully okay now this is kind of a a situation that he has to be careful with here and it looks like he's going to do something possibly with the R but I don't really see anything good that he can do he may up to shoot the 11 here it's a very good chance he may shoot the 11 because there doesn't seem to be anything good available going into the rack now he may want to go three cushions around here with the cuq ball but it looks like it's going to go long so he has to be concerned with that maybe he'll just draw it to the end rail after back in the 11 that's what he's did well he tried to do at least that's a nice shot he opened up a couple balls and what was really nice about the shot the balls that he opened up didn't end up where he could leave a return Bank toward Frost's hole so he hit it with the correct speed not to create that situation right he didn't even go for his hole with the bank he was going for dislodging a few balls and leave long for frost now Frost has to execute something good here cuz he's forced to because of the heady shot that the showan shot he didn't want to leave Frost return bank which he didn't and to ensure that from happening to at least to possibly ensure that he didn't hit it with the speed that would have produced that Tony's weighing his options here he'd like to send the 10 ball back into the stack but doesn't lay right for that so he may follow no he's going to jack up I thought he might follow one rail and come back into the 713 no he's going to go into into the stack with the Q ball he's going to send the 10 into the 11 12 here the Q ball will hit the 13 and stay somewhere in that area well he didn't op didn't opt to do that this was the shot that I thought he was going to play yeah he was just going to go follow and get the Q ball in the stack Yeah the more aggressive shot was the one that I described you know had he hit that shot well if it was the angle it was conducive to that particular option he would have shot that shot and if he would have done good with the shot he would have turned this this this the ball placement into a superior ball placement for himself now he has to grind here nothing do nothing special here just a little grind just move a ball down there by his pocket yeah he would love to to block the bank I don't know if he did to that shot would have been executed a bit better if the 13 would have blocked any Bank on the seven he just a tad bit too hard we are playing all ball fouls and just for clarity's sake I didn't mention it earlier but when the players each took a foul earlier that negated the foul and that's why we were at this count of zero rather than spotting balls up from previous fouls did I say that good you said that absolutely perfectly as you as you normally do well I just want to make sure everybody understood I know what I'm trying to say but you bring a whole bag of tools with you to broadcast yes I thank you I just want everybody understand why why don't they have a negative count here you got it done baby this is a very tough shot here it looks like he's going to send the CB back into the stack very softly here like this oh it was pretty heavy little okay got got a you know didn't get a real good kiss off that four ball with the 14 and he's walking away from the table thinking he's hard luck that happened he is somewhat a little bit hard luck that it did end up way the way it did because it it should have ended up a lot better and he was a little ill- fated there watch the Q ball oh wow see all sickness isn't death you understand that yeah yeah yeah no but uh well that was the way Tony had to play it he knew that he made a little bit of a mistake by leaving the table that with leaving Tony a shot Tony unfortunately scratched off the kiss now Scott is is at the table and and the demand is there for him to execute because this is a big big situation for him in this match right here this momentum shift and it's psychologically damaging just like that maybe body blows in boxing might be you know when when you kind of had Tony had the best of it and then all of a sudden it turned around and then you put the squeeze on there and the way the balls are positioned this is a winning shot coming up right here he knows it let's see if he can deal with it this is very very difficult to deal with at times now I have to make a mention that Scott has tried to rebuild his swing somewhat and get rid of some of the loop in his swing and I was watching there his queue remained very flat through that ball which lends itself to even greater consistency than what the great player Scott Frost already possessed and that's an excellent shot I don't know if he's going to go behind the four he did but he does have the four I do believe I believe he the four will pass the 12 I'm not certain from our vantage point it's difficult for us to make that deter the overhead camera deceives you so but sometimes it'll look like it won't and then the player shoots it right in so might be playing the 12 yeah he's playing the 12 oh he's playing the 12 nicely struck wow nicely struck and and I can definitely see less up and down motion than Scott Frost stroke right here which is it's going to make him Ultra tough because it's going to minimize an unforced error too and if you're correct with your assessment there he certainly is uh building his confidence knowing that the adjustment that he's make is paying off when you make an adjustment in your game and your stroke and you're getting good results that's such a big confidence booster well it would be great to see Scott get back to his best one pocket days and looks like he's it's coming well I don't know if he can get back to his best one pocket days I me you're being he's only 48 I mean come on you play great well into your but but greater when I was 30 that's what were nineball Billy or Pittsburgh Billy or mustache Billy well that was 50 years ago one pocket wasn't the game of choice back then as it is now you know there are so many more one-pocket players today there's more one pocket players than nineball players I would think you know I'm talking about players that understand how to play pool you know that one pocket is a game that everyone wants to learn now and there are so many excellent players and there's so many more excellent players today because of the ball striking skill of all the players that have joined into the one pocket phase or I should say um yeah you're right yeah it's never been more prolific you go pool rooms there's multiple tables of one pocket used to be an aberration if you saw one table of one pocket going on and back in the 70s and 80 80s there weren't very many one pocket players in the few that were played great one pocket were were assessed as great players but because they always played players that didn't understand the game which made them appear great yeah maybe more great than they were and I do apologize for a few to a few few people when I say that but they're gone Ronnie Allen PE people like that who who say they may have been the best to go to of all time well I don't know about all that if he would have been in this era he would have just been another player but uh to his credit he was a guy that wasn't going to settle for a second he would have been better because he would have had a level of competition he would have had to rise up to and and those great players would have ex true that's true too that's true anybody that thinks that Nick farer wouldn't be a great player today is another thing coming he's not going to be happy to be second absolutely not Nick Varner Nick Varner is just a fantastic allaround player I don't know I if I had to put him on a scale of American players I would put him in the top four or three for sure for sure agreed that's ever oh any American player ever Nick barner's gonna be there he's another a bad kiss golly that's very ill fad there because not only did he get did he get a kiss the scratch but he pocketed the ball he was going after which was a very low percentage shot with perfect speed so yeah yeah and he got a little heavier kiss he probably wouldn't have scratch but he just got that perfect kiss you know not to decrease the speed of the OB of the Q ball and ended up scratching that was really a bad break there and that's that risk reward Tony knows if he scores that or get gets it close he can turn this game around and so it wasn't a a poor decision it was just a misfortune that he knew that shot carried some of the misfortune but it also had a huge reward and it's such an injustice because you know when something that happens to you and you strike the ball just about perfectly you're walking into your chair saying what am I do I have to do I just made a great great shot and I got a a horrible rooll you know and that's hard to take sometimes but I think he can brush it off let's take a look see what happen is going forward okay Frosty's just going to stick the CU on the stack move something over by his pocket I don't think he has a shot you know whenever you're playing one pocket you want to make the QQ ball your priority here you're probably not running out from here so just what can you do to get the yeah just like this pamed up you know he sacrificed developing being a better position to control the qqo which I believe is correct but some some of you people out there that are watching this saying why didn't he put the 11 in front of the pocket or at least closer to the pocket because had he done that he would have lost control of the Q ball when we would have probably allowed Tony to escaped what have a little bit of a trap that he's somewhat in now okay there some confusion the referee is out here guess he's oh he's telling them how many fouls he's on because he he's bringing them back from the for the from the sequence of what happened the last two or three Innings now he's off of the second foul so there four that that's now a moood point Frost back to the table he'll probably come off the uh the six ball here especially since the one six are kind of like dead lined up so he's going to eliminate that possibility right now and probably uh try to develop a little stronger position for himself he would like the Q ball to end up around that middle diamond on the side rail or closer to the right Diamond closest to the side pocket that's where he went would let the Q ball to end up so that's where the speed that he's going to hit this shot with terrific shot now there are two balls that are surrounding Frost's park at the eight ball and the 11 ball whenever you have uh multiple balls you know surrounding your pocket it's there's that urgency for a for a good execution and defense here because you really have to do something good right now not now right now he knows it he knows he's he's up against it right now he's got to come up with something really good Mark he's looking for the six and to the eight maybe draw back a little bit take that take the 11 ball po option away maybe the three yeah no the three the three's got him the six oh wait a second it was his best chance to oh that might have Tangled no he's open no open you know nobody plays more one pocket than Tony showan nobody it might be maybe if you just dedicate your life to it you could play as much daily but nobody plays more and he won this tournament last year and he ended up kicking a couple balls that were a diamond and a half away and long rail to his pocket and I ask him about it because it was dangerous he goes I just didn't think I was going to get a better shot and he just hit it so pure and so good the thing is he he understands the development he understands what's in store for him in the future yeah okay sometimes you you you may see a player shoot with you may consider a halfhazard shot but they need that shot like he tried to explain he wasn't going to get anything better to change the course of what the where the game was going and it wasn't but it was all by design it was very controlled it was remarkable I don't see other players shoot this the shot that he shot and I asked him about it after the match when he won he he said I just feel that shot I I have a good feel for it and he hits it good so exactly and if you can hone your skills to shoot those type of shots shots that don't really come up that often yeah if you can hone your skills to shoot those shots when they do appear they're going to mostly appear in Desperate situations and you have the ability to turn it around providing that you can execute that difficult shot and if you practice that like he does then when they do show you can you can reap the benefits okay Frost broke serve uh and one now he broke the left-hander's pocket got a double kiss and Tony will bank at the 10 ball despite the fact that they will come with a penalty if he misses he want to go into the a well he said I'm going to go ahead and and things aren't really working out for him you going know when whenever you have the Harden understanding to shoot a shot like that because you you envision the results somewhat and you hit it just about perfectly and you don't get the results that you most likely could have it's what a heady play there he was combination Bank take care of the QQ ball was the priority yeah yeah exactly things aren't working out for showan right now you know po gods are not really treating them good but you know how that is he fought so hard you know you if he persists with that it's this could to be a hotly contested match yeah and and Shan understands that and he does have the patience because of that he knows that things will turn around because they normally always do and it doesn't matter who's at the table it just that's just the way things are and if you get discouraged because things aren't working for you then you're only cheating yourself for the future things that may happen you're interested Diamond these are these little decisions and executions that turn the whole rack around one way or the other right noce what he did with the three ball you know he hit it with a good speed he got good results with the c ball and the three ball the three Ball's out in the open now I don't know if it passes the 12 you know and it may seem like uh you know something that you may not consider but you know keep your balls open Don't cluster them up make sure that when you come W walk away from the table if given the opportunity your potential is much bigger the other thing he did there was not just settle it on the end rail but he tried to protect the two he did that little extra on a safety he didn't just play a passive safety it was kind of still an aggressive safety for something that was minimum Mo motion and it's a great observation the two is a key ball to protect their cuz had he been able to see tro and had he been able to see the two there wouldn't have been a choice there wouldn't have been all this indecision now he has to work and he's not really working right to where he's benefiting from it he's benefiting from it by getting out of the inning but he's not Ben benefiting by with the position of the balls well if he can see the two he starts clearing stuff from Scott side you know right away and he forces maybe an up table game or Force the Scott to to relinquish that strong position that's going to be developed and anytime you have T Shan have to play a passive safety like he did to get to the you've did a great job you don't see that happen often no now Frosty recognizes that the 15 and 11 do not go so he can maybe go at the four here not in his pocket maybe just a disrupt some clutter and get the Q ball down table now he would like to move both the 11 and the 15 here let's see if he could he has that in mind see move both of them he clearing out that side nice nice control with the Q ball putting behind the five really taking away a lot of options had he not put him behind the five now Tony once again steps to the table you know with limited options oh I think he's going to go on the five just cuz he's in a bad spot here he could I don't think he wants to I think and he's great at these type shots where it's Do or Die well I don't think it's die but let's he stays away from if he has to stay away from the one here which he's done quite nicely he got himself a shot on the six very controlled now Scott was a little ill- fated there because had he opened up a couple balls that were you know yeah tough balls to defend against then Shan may have not been able to shoot that shot not taking anything away from Shan he made a real nice shot played great position he's on his way to win game number two here and you see in spite of where the balls were positioned this happened to Shan in game one a couple times where he played that nice long soft one and it scratched off the object ball and then here Scott played a nice shot and but that's what happens when you play high power one players absolutely you don't have to do much wrong they make their own openings and Tony has the best ball speed oh he certainly I was going to bring that up before you mentioned it you know but you hit you beat me to it for a big man now you don't have to be sorry I appreciate you a lot for a big man you would think that he didn't wouldn't have that finesse and that nice ball speed but he controls that cuq ball so wonderfully and when he's at the table running balls and if few people out there notice that I'm sure a lot of you do this is no accident I mean this guy here could flat out play well this could easily be the final match I mean there's not two more prolific one pocket players than Shan and frost nice Speed game ball nice speed that pocket just suck that up you know he's going to have a problem getting it out of there before we get to it uh you cannot scratch and jump the qall off the table you know this rule or maybe you don't no I don't okay that's a loss of game yeah Scott gu keep the ball if you try to skip the Q ball off the table take a foul put two balls on the spot that's no more H well like I thought that he was going to have a problem getting out there but that that new rule change that you just brought up uh I don't really totally agree with that uh you know because there's nothing he's not doing anything illegal we're doing that by jumping off the table you know it's a foul like it's always been it's never it's never really hurt or hampered the game in in the past why would they to eliminate it I think maybe because it looks shabby for proliferating the sport that uh uh you intentionally and perhaps somebody gets injured I don't know I don't know I don't know I'm just saying that is the rule I'm not so what are they going to do next take the intentional foul away no no I'm just okay well you know I disagree with that but there is some Merit to what he's what he's done you know I was just informed by Pat Fleming that Greg didn't want anyone getting hurtt when they jump the table you know and I can understand that and uh so I'll accept that yeah yeah not that it makes a difference whether I accept it or not that's the rule right we don't have a choice it's not going to be a debate yeah Billy will filibuster Greg solving right now all right a bad scratch off the break goes to show you that uh if Tony Shan can scratch on break all of us can you know I mean it just happens sometimes so and that's true like there are players that break well and there are players that don't break well Tony Shan's a player that breaks well so if he can scratch off the break a player that breaks well right where does it leave me a player that doesn't break well well I if I we have some time I would tell you but we don't have that much time that leaves me behind the eightball another rule too is if you pocket a ball on the break we just start the rack over yeah well that's not a new rule that's been around for several years no I'm just mentioning it cuz some people don't play that way so if it comes up you'll understand what happened looking down here in the crowd I see Betsy Sunol wearing her Michigan colors she worked for the University of Michigan a lot of years spent a lot of time and damn proud of it yeah oh yeah her her car and she calls it Bo for Bo sham Beckler wears the same colors just so you know okay oh yeah and a fan would be proud to wear those colors now after winning the national play great absolutely and but they're going to lose their coach he's going to San Diego NFL but that's another story nicely shot and executed he does see the six but uh so Scott really won the that Q ball tucked up on the 13 didn't quite get it and now Tony will be able to escape pretty freely here maybe even inflict some damage now he has an option to go two ways he the other way yeah but he end up with no shot had he gone the other way position the Q ball behind the 11 ball let me get an overhead yeah can we grab the had position the QQ ball here and put this ball into the stack opening up multiple balls position the Q ball behind the uh the 11 it would have been a much better result but he he decided that to pocket a ball perhaps he may end up with a shot but the way the he positioned the Q ball he sort of like limited himself with the return shots now ball will be spotting after this cuz Tony owed one it has to go long I I like what he's doing here I think that's this is much better go to the side end ra side rail here that's a much much better shot and he was able to pocket a ball I don't think he realized that that ball was pocketable because he would have went for it before making that adjustment of of shots you know his shot shots I think it was one of those things where maybe gets kissed twice and you don't know uh you know like to rearrange the angle slightly and it's not it's unlikely but partly brought on by being elevated oh he might too much stroke there a little too much stroke and make to make matters worse he's going to be shooting over a ball he would like to shoot the uh the eight or or the the five if he would like to shoot the five but he's over the ball so that certainly isn't going to be advisable but but then again he may still shoot the five but I doubt it because he he's going to strike that ball not very accurately because of of the Cubo being so close to the 14 he doesn't want to see him leave him the six now if he Scott and see the six then he then he show him that didn't do his job he wants to make sure when Scott goes to the table he can't shoot the six that's the big ball that can put him back in trouble show hand that is he kindly in motion with the Q ball he moved the Q ball an inch got Scott still in trouble here you know what Scott could do he could Bank the seven outside and float down behind the 11 or the 15 on the end oh yeah the 15 if that's you know he could do that but if he's afraid of the Cubo contacting the six with that shot that's different now he going across table utilizing the seven and one for interfering balls precluding showan for shooting for his pocket our good friend Danny dberto always say he's doubled him up or triped him up and that's a powerful one pocket tool yeah in a shot that often becomes uh unnoticed you know uh but the experienced players which course we have nothing but experienced players but for you guys out there that don't have that much experience you know if we could grab the overhead because I think this is what Tony's thinking about here is here here send this this way and it's pretty protected with the QQ ball it can filter into the stack and you alluded to his great kicking skills with longdistance kicking and that certainly is both with the distance and the um the the contact on the on the ball you're kicking at at such a long distance you'd have to hit it so accurately it's it's sort of bit a little bit of a stretch to even think about something like that but yeah but he's HED his skills to do those thing kind of things so it wouldn't be certainly out of character to see him do that right but maybe someone else who would be but not Tony but good call there by way he didn't he didn't need it there and but it was something he definitely looked at right but which was a good call you know we made that shot apparent to those that didn't understand that shot the imagination and creativity and then the capacity to support that with good Firepower with these guys that's what you don't see a lot of guys can think them up they can't execute you know yeah yeah these two super dangerous yeah and and you and in order to execute those types of shots you have to familiarize yourself with those type of shots and that takes time and dedication so right there you go right couple words that are so important to anyone's game this is looking like it's going to be a downt game we don't see that many of them but it's starting to shape up that way and when you have those downt games and you start eating up that clock you know and there are restrictions and there are new uh uh rules put into effect you know right for that type of a situation maybe a little bit later in in this game if it comes to that Mark will explain them to you well the first checkpoint will be at the two-hour Mark then when there's four balls behind the head strring at the end of an inning a ball is brought back down to the spot no uh more than four balls more than four balls I'm sorry yeah and if there were five balls they they they spot one if there are six balls behind the head strring they spot two and they they spot the ones that are closest to the Head rail to uh to choose the balls that are being spotted and then there's another rule at the end of three hour going into the third hour and uh let's not get into that right now just yeah yeah these two are pretty fast players so hopefully we don't have to encounter that but it could happen point being there is a provision in the rules so should we have a long match there's ways to speed it up and you have to have rules to Speed Up play because you have 400 some entries and you have to get it in there where there's a lot of time constraints here you have to get the matches played because of of the amount of players in the field and it's not an easy task to do that you have to have come up with some pretty creative rules in order to uh to expedite the the play once again nice play there purposely kicking into the rail after he hit the object ball to play the 12 on his side you don't see guys move two balls down table like that that productively like Tony Shan and I'm glad you brought that up because it's it's those subtle things that player does when he's at the table that go unnoticed and now since you brought it up a lot of people out there that are watching this match can say yeah I didn't see that you know right you got a good point there Mr Mark well I always think about it because you want to maximize your each inning and uh both these players do it they would and it's subtle you think well you just bumped it over there no that was by Design you bumped it over there why was it subtle right you know why scottt banking at the two trying to follow down what's he doing here I don't think it work I mean I don't I think he can make the bank okay but I don't think he can get the Q ball safe here unless he Clips off one of those balls with inside spin which is what he did nice effort now if he played that looked like a little halfhazard if he played that then you can see the you know the Merit behind it but uh I don't know if he played it no he did because he had the inside spin on the QQ ball he was playing off the secondary object ball and he was disappointed that he now sold out a potential cross Corner bank here to ton it's still all all was still a fairly risky shot nicely struck but not good enough very controlled yeah and he got it right down there where it's a threat and he knew that cute ball was going to end up around that area of the table don't get me wrong and the four and the nine he didn't want to bump those so he did a good job knowing he could get through that Gap speed just a little Top Spin to hold the Q ball down here it was very for fortunate Scott that is to be able to see that ball CU Tony positioned that ball in an ideal position had he been able to position the QQ ball right closer to the five and took away that option that Scott just shot he would had Scott in a lot of trouble so that's why s Scott was a little fortunate now he's looking to bank to 10 here nice speed the Q ball will then go into the five off the inside rail good call Billy what a nice hit that was too nice speed of the object ball yeah look at Tony leaves his man in constant check he's got a ball right by his pocket every shot when he's done now if he can't see the bottom rail give him the ball but if he can see the bottom rail he doesn't need to give him the ball give him the ball even though it was a distance away from the pocket sometimes you're better off just giving up the ball because if you hit it poorly and end up getting a kiss on that ball you may lose the entire game so it's a much better choice just to give him the ball if you're in that type of a situation back in the days of Cliff Joiner I always marveled at how from obuse Banks somehow it' be hanging in his pocket every time you know nobody did it better than Cliff getting that ball in his pocket C's one of those players that you have to remember because of how well he played the game all assets of the game he was a great ball Runner great Banker uh excellent shot maker you know had a lot of ability at the table and whenever he played everyone swarmed around the table to watch him play that's how good of a player Cliff joner was well these two are one pocket Hall of Famers that we're watching right now so there you go absolutely it's still in their Prime it's not like they're old guys that used to play I don't know if I agreed with that shot because of the distance that he missed that that shot by if whenever you miss a shot by that type of a distance I don't understand what you were thinking in other words there were certainly better options maybe to do something better than what he did you know and that's one of the reasons right there why I say that okay yeah because if you allow him put the qall in the center of the table giving him options after missing a shot by two diamonds yeah there's something wrong with that you know and I don't want to you know critique his game that that way but I didn't like what he did that time I like a lot of the things he does don't get me wrong that particular inning I didn't like nicely struck wow yeah and he got a bank out of it he's got to be careful here with the qqo here I know I know he wants to do some more damage after backing the for but I don't think he should look at it like that you know how would you feel about U sending the Q ball into the 715 and knock him on your side too rather than go low go high yeah yes like this yeah that's good okay that's good he knew that he wasn't going to sell out a shot right you know in the fashion that he shot that shot because he knew exactly where the Cub or pretty much where the Cubo was going to go off the departing that side rail and he increased the accuracy of the shot too by the way yeah on [Music] the it's not laying exactly right but say the Q ball was down just a little bit then he can play the 15 off the 11 send the 15 his way and put the 11 on the spot sometimes get two balls up there but it's not laying right for that right now's got to be careful with the Q ball here I thought he was crossing it and going cross table behind the two and that's why I thought you would be careful with the qall I thought that option was available I really couldn't and the the careful with the CU ball allowed him to get the QQ ball where it's at so it missed the bank but he was not taking any chances Jeremy and I were talking about yesterday about how sometimes you have to protect the Q ball so much that you have to intentionally attempt to miss the exact hit on the shot to make sure the Q Ball's good and then if you miss you sometimes accidentally make the shot but if you hit a good you see what I'm saying you have to air to that side it was so true and for those of you people out there that don't know the score we haven't really mentioned the score of the game is the score of the game is three balls for sh and two for frost it's always good to know the score of the game Mak play a lot more interesting it's a what one game a piece in the set 3-2 showan right now huh really good shot there really a pretty risky shot but he thought the reward would be uh rewarding enough to choose that shot now Shan has a shot on the eight and he also can take away the I think he'll get a double kiss here intentional kiss here this is a scary one here okay yeah intentional kiss he know exactly what would happen when he shot that shot going into the kiss and what he envisioned happening exactly is what happened Che and the double hit stopped the Q ball sent the object ball away from the pocket back into five is not the shot here I don't know he's dressing the table like that's what he wants to do I think there are a lot better options than that and know was it's a stretch for him to back to five here I think he just threatened it then he realized oh no I can lose with this no he's back looking at it I I'm with you Billy I don't like it yeah back in the five is a stretch here and if he ends up going for the bank on the five and ends up selling out he's going to certainly regret it what a great shot but boy he just don't understand that because if you don't hit that shot well not only do you not pocket the ball but you give your opponent showan a shot on a ball and a position on the ball you just missed well I mean he could draw back here and play the eight and then then get down too I mean it was he had a lot of options coming forward if he misses that ball yeah I didn't totally agree with that shot so uh well but he pocketed the ball so that certainly uh makes that a mood point he would like to drop behind a one to one nine here look at that nice hit wow we got some serious Firepower going on here now he can back cut the 12 let me get an overhead here oh okay let's get an overhead now he can back cut the 12 Q ball draw here and come over here for position on these two balls here that's a game winner there he's opting to shoot to nine he struck that ball reasonably well but overcut it but it got kind of fortunate not to give up a shot on the eight Tony does have a bank on the nine it's not an easy bank cuz The Nine's prettyy close to that side Rail and it looks like it's going to come short or get a kiss so we could to be careful see it's going to come short see cuz he wanted to stay away from the kiss see that shot you know creates a possibility of a kiss quite often you want to stay away from the kiss now he's given a bank back and I agree with you it was he tried to stay away from the but he hits that so good so often not always making it but he makes a better pass at of that that but it doesn't turn out this way cuz this Q ball didn't get down table and this bank is about 89 90 Oh I thought it was a much better higher percentage than that didn't you I thought it was like a hanger Bank almost well evidently we were I was wrong yeah well he overcut it and think once again trying to avoid the double kiss yeah a lot of times people feel that oh he's got a decent Bank like I did and that he hit it so poorly but he treding to avoid the kiss sometimes you try to avoid it to a degree that you don't need to and end up put overcutting it like he did this might be a rolling Bank try to get the Q ball down there behind the 22 don't know if it's lays right for that let's see he's playing the Q ball yeah that's why the bank didn't even threaten the pocket he was just playing the Q ball over there and trying to get the ball down on his side I don't know if the nine precludes Pony from contacting the one here it looks like it may you know if he can't see the one he's going to have to come off the nine then drop to the end rail off the side rail and now the double kiss is not near the impediment or looks like he might be kicking watch the Q ball watch the QQ ball watch the eight ball oh but he's glad didn't make the 11 there yeah I I I kind of liked other options as the as opposed to the one that he ended up shooting you know that and you can see he got results good decent results but he certainly didn't play it that way right you know clearly not which is an indication that possibly other things could have went wrong with that shot like knocking in the 11 something you know I mean it was a very very ill advised shot because of the uh the demand for good execution because of that shot uh was a very difficult shot to force yourself to shoot h smart play just get a ball over on your side and pin him up here yeah that another subtle shot that was executed by one of the players out there Scot that is that created some some good things for for the player like that they opened up the ball like Mark said he protected the ball that he opened up now Shan got to be careful what he does now he's going to shoot the eight here I think he should go off the rail and hit the hit the nine maybe now he's not even shooting that I think Shan should come off the 11 now the 11's been a thorn in his side I think he should loosen up that 11 get that 11 out of there now it's not really a ball that's uh it it's really hurting him a little bit I kind of like getting rid of it let's take a look see now Fri can Bank the one with ease you know because the 11's not going to be a problem and a can't go you he's definitely got a shot on the one or the four I kind of like the one I think it's an easier hit this one here you can really take dead aim at the pocket and not favoring any side of the object ball well he's favored he favored that side of the object ball I didn't think he needed to do that if he get the 12 tangled up where he can't get right at the one he it was the heck of a good shot it looks like he may have I don't think Tony can shoot straight at the one ball well well he's down looking he's looking to see if he can even kick it the one ball I think no he can't do that either yeah no he can't he's hemmed up pretty good yes he is can he follow through the nine and follow the QQ ball behind the one boy yeah he can you know what I mean I mean maybe that angle may be available for him to follow he's wow he's going to try to mass a kick or softly jump kick oh my know he had his hands full there right and I think really you know what you said about taking the 11 away because that really hurt him on that shot yeah he couldn't go down his side of the table because 11 was led to nothing otherwise he could have trickled the ball down there by by his pocket yeah I kind of like that option that he had I thought that it was it was a good time for him to move it the 11 ball that is you know that would open up Avenues going forward later in the rack good speed there Nice Shot Frosty Frost uh leads in this game five balls to three playing for three one is really available with the four he's trying to look at what he can do after the four yeah have the nine one there he just draw back and kick the eight over by his side near his pocket I don't think it was there maybe it was yeah he hit it with the speed to assure himself pocketing the four nice can play well he doesn't have to kick at the eight he can play just one rail I think sure like to get it by his pocket yeah he'll probably go into the seven here well he went to went the inside how did he hit it how he h perfect shot pretty good pretty yeah but that's what he wanted was by his pocket Force Tony's next move yeah well Frost now has six balls to show his three three got to be careful here just knock the eight over leave them short on the side rail there you go clog up some balls take away those straight back Banks that's what you're doing there not getting much moving from the Q ball because you didn't need much moving now he's going to he now he's looking at the 11 now not the time to look at it I guess he hat to do the 11 now cuz his balls are kind of hemmed up and you give Frosty a chance to get something on by his pocket you don't want to pocket the 11 now CU you don't want to play ball for ball right now you know when you're when You Face a three ball deficit this late in the game you don't want to play ball for ball with balls tied up and that's a scratch that's a scratch oh boy yeah that's a scratch not only is it a scratch he's given him a shot and now this angle carries position for the seven believe it or not you know he's got to pocket the one with a little outside engl go two cushions behind the seven it's there if he can execute it kind of jumped up there a little bit Billy yeah Tony's been staying down pretty good but he got a little flinchy on that one he's not happy with himself you but Vos Ross is you know he's has a lot to say about how Tony's been playing because he's been putting Tony tough spots right you know you can make this but also if he could he could stick the Q ball on the nine pin it to the seven and just Bank the nine by his pocket well he could Bank nine by pocket and maybe go into the two a h shot he he played rail first because that gave him a better better opportunity to bank the seven considering how the ball was going to come off the one ball with the rail first option I think he got to hit this with some speed there you go no that's not the speed I was talking about that's better but he also Bard the two let say that hangs up now the two's on the spot you see what I'm saying so it was a pretty heady shot Scott's one of the most experienced one pocket players on the tour today at age 48 he certainly has played a lot of one pocket and played it extremely well it goes all the way back to his Junior High days when Don McCoy took his lunch money daily for play one pocket that's how far back that goes but for all you people out there that are playing your Mentor you you're going to reap the benefits of that in years to to come they just like Scott has done I know okay that's a such a Scott had $6 hour a day that Don ends up with D's a heck of a guy too L some Phoenix now yeah heck of a player at one time oh yeah absolutely you know played everything good he was a grinder oh my tried to back cut and overcut it look it got it tangled up down there shot what a shot you're not kidding oh wow and don't be afraid of shots like that but most importantly for iiz yourself with those type of shots to give you the ability and the courage to shoot them there Frosty got a double kiss nipped it back into the stack here oh look at that shot got a lot out of that he's going the Q ball yeah he's going to his bag of shots that most people don't have in their bag you are so right you know once again the 11 ball haunts him I don't know he if the if if the Corner yeah I don't believe I believe the Corner's got him here from from the 11 ball then he see oh he's got he need speed up need speed he didn't get speed he needs speed he needed speed there he was had to make sure that he protected the two that's why he didn't have the speed that he wanted to have because had he shot it harder he may have lost control of the Q ball Frost but of course if the eight ball comes down may have blocked that like he double them up or something you right right so after we take a look at the possibilities of that sh ni ex after we take a look at the possibilities of that shot it was best to hit it with the speed needed to get it there because you always had that extra possibility of the of the eight doubling him up on the two yes so I it felt like he hit the one before plenty of power got it down there okay and it felt like he was trying to avoid a foul and maybe let up a little bit there even though the he just hit it good look at this nice flat Stroke by Scott uh tangibly improved on his stroke mechanics since I've last SE him okay this a real big game for frost but of course a much bigger game for showan because if he doesn't win this game you know it's going to be tied up going to the hill two games a piece but why I say it's a much much it's a big game for frost is because I believe he's going to be breaking in this game is that correct yes yeah okay and he knows that if he doesn't win on his break right and it goes to hill hill he's facing a hillhill game Match Game right facing the break the break is and Tony is a excellent ball breaker yes despite the fact at the table yes that too okay here we go game number four Frost gets a unfortunate kiss and scratches much like Tony shohan did well that end ball comes out a little bit and when that QQ ball slides off that rack that that end ball comes out at times it kisses that Q ball sliding off the rack just enough to send it into the pocket and I think what happens there I think the balls aren't really racked tightly if there's any gaps that create that type of a situation you you know you need to look for the certain gaps in the rack that may create that situation how do you figure that out well you keep racking balls with little small gaps to find out mhm how the balls break based off of how where the Gap is yeah and make sure that make sure there aren't no gaps when you rack the balls because they have the the advantage to Rack their own balls here right so if if if they get a kiss like that you know it's on you he's going is he going thought yeah I thought he was going to go off the two and open up some balls and put them behind the the three but no he's this is eliminating the two or the three look at that aggressive shot yeah I don't think he's going to like the result but the idea was pretty aggressive yeah it wasn't it's not all that bad even though the Q Ball's position where it shouldn't be you can back cut the two but it leads to nothing so it's one of those shots where you can actually make things worse pocketing the two he may uh he may shoot the two here he may shoot the two he's going to go into the no obviously he has a much safer shot with the three and it's still rewarding but he may shoot the two he it's he's now looked at it for the the second time I think he hates that he's moving the 11 on Tony's side and or else he has to go High Velocity he shoots two he's going with a with a follow here he's playing the 11 yeah he's going to go behind the 113 here to see if he can create something I don't think he'll be able to not create anything great going behind the 113 because of how he has to hit the 11 it's not going to really open up anything you know he wants to just put him behind a 113 that's the speed is he's going to forget about everything else just hit it with good speed put him behind there that's decent that's decent speed especially if he cut off you know I think he's cut off a lot of lot of options here for for Shan he's going to have to like grind his way out of this oh that's not good didn't mean to he I know what he was trying to do but that wasn't it now we're that negates Scott's foul from earlier so now there'll just be a zero total and it's not really good good for your confidence either when you do something like that because that was a relatively simple shot to execute he totally lost focus with that particular double poke in there see now he's in a tough spot now cuz they can't do that again because leaveing the bank on the 11 excuse me leav excuse me he leaves him the 10 there let he hits it harder that's what she what he's done I didn't think he initially could do that the more I looked at it I saw that was available nothing on that side I don't believe no I don't like this what did he take a foul yeah I think so now what he can do here he can shoot the 13 into the 10 and stop his ball there he can also kick the 13 off the one too now that's an excellent hit that's an excellent hit know I don't know now keep in mind that one billiard now the 13 and one you see those two balls there's a possible billiard in Tony's pocket if Scott leaves that CU up table you know as a as a desperation shot right but it really doesn't carrying much potential good control there yeah it certainly was now was now Scott side is looking really good you Tony's uh Tony's looking at a real difficult situation it may not appear that it is at this point but it seems like the development that's taking place isn't very really doesn't bode well for Johan right no he's got nothing open on his side he's got got a B heavy now Scot can go up table now that build is no longer available he's got to protect the 11 ball hit it a little too hard little too hard I don't know what's available but he wanted to make sure he protected the 11 that one ball is a real important ball for Tony to defend against he doesn't want to leave him a cross Corner Bank on the one so whatever option he chooses to shoot he has to make sure he's got to be very mindful of protecting that that cross Corner Bank on the one that's not easy to do let's see what he does here oh I tell you what he did a he did a great job there he did he put the 13 in his side he protected it he didn't leave him Bank on the one he got a lot done with that shot Mark he sure did yeah that's one of the better shots that he shot in quite some time you know and you know he's made a lot of little Nifty little safeties but that shot there I like that that was that was pretty cool oh that was great man come on these guys yeah they're coming off the top shelf with some of these shots here you know that negated the great shot that Tony made with another great shot is he going to kick at this the answer is yes no Phil Scott I should say a little ill faded there because he left him that nice kick with it looked like a pretty dead kick combination you've got some turns of events going on here you got to be careful he plays the one off the 11 ball he's got to be careful controlling that Q ball don't return Bank he's going to draw on that five that's what he's got to do good call Billy he got on the five and now it didn't hang up in the jaw so now kicking at it is not that easy it's easy it's it's easy cuz he's got a enough of a gap there to kick between the one and the rail okay softly okay get he can get away with this a high percentage of the time I I look for him to walk away from the table in decent shape considering what he's looking at I'm just saying if he doesn't make the one Tony is so trying to make the one well he's going to get the worst of make better Tony's he'll he'll draw back he'll Bank the 13 he's just a wizard and all that stuff you know what I kind of like favor your option of pocketing the one because of the future development right that may take place you know and you're 100% correct and I'm going to have to give you a big big plus there I've been studying I've been studying tweet you know what Billy and Grady were my all-time favorite I still listen to them and laugh guys it was like a married couple how damn dumb are you Billy Miss Grady he brought a different color and flavor to the whole thing oh he was such a character I mean come on he was one of a kind he was a legend that is going to live on and on and on and on you know it's uh that's the way some things are and okay that's what Tony does just gets ball threading down by his pocket okay now what do you do here with you're going to eliminate the 14 but how do you do it do you do it with a high high high ball with some speed and hope you don't double kiss I mean he should be able to but the Q ball probably come over here towards Scott's pocket a little bit I don't think you can hold it right there that's what I'm talking about you see if this exactly what you said watch the kiss because you know you got to hit it thi thly full in the face and quite often when you hit the object ball at that distance full in the face you end up getting that kiss so what they do they make that little adjustment in their mind and they try to stay away from that kiss and it's over adjusted and they sellout Tony went aggressive to get position and landed heavy into the five which hurt him so now does he Cent it or smooth draw back I think you know the aggressive these guys are you got C it you got to Cent it because now you got four ball and why do you have to sense it not only because it gives you a fourth ball because of how the balls are positioned on the table now balls are hard to get so therefore big leads are much more difficult to surmount yeah great Point you're not going to win the game even if you do draw back but you can miss that ball and that really hampers your effort to win the game so you a ball in this position here with the ball's positioned the way there are it's big it's big and then don't take that for granted because every B po Tony Pockets going forward makes his lead a lot lot bigger yeah it'd be different the balls were in play than you can you know you can think things out differently but right now it's quite uh quite obvious what what your objective should be and you see how soft he went that too he wants to keep that Tangled mess over there as much as possible right and he's real good at manipulating those balls his way later on he doesn't have to do it on that shot and he doesn't want to free up Scott get a ball in the spot or something for Scott and that's what experienced players do well not only they are they good with ex with the execution but they're good with the development of it yeah Tony's absolutely a wizard at using junk down the table and kind of getting you pinned up and getting balls down table by his side now Scott's facing this four to one uh deficit here it's going to be a little extra aggressive here cuz that's just or four to minus one I should say cuz that's the type of a player he is and I don't find Falon in his way of thinking because he certainly can back up his aggressiveness if given the opportunity oh boy oh boy don't go in the drink Tony wow he kind of bludgeoned that shot then the three ball clatter into the Q Ball kicked it clear across the pocket almost into the pocket now Scott walked to the table in discussing that why didn't he scratch look you know I don't think he should burden himself with that type of uh stuff you know why dwell on things that just the nature of of of of what we do there's a lot of negative energy it's right exactly but that's just his that's just his life and and going back probably a product of his environment maybe had a a disadvantaged home life you know or something but I'm just saying he's generally negative you I was blessed I'm generally positive but but he is a know sometimes there are players John Mao fed off a negative energy and played fantastic most people don't he's looking for sympathy then Mark you know he's looking for sympathy that he should have scratched I'm losing four month this goes on every day that you play is yeah well he's always looking for it well he likes he likes drama you know I mean I tell you right now and I've known him I like him since he's a kid ain't nothing wrong with coming off to seven softly leave the eight where it is you're facing the deficit you don't want you don't want to put ball in worse position just just softly roll on the seven there let him do something okay yeah not bad oh he left the open eight oh I'm sorry terrible a little I like the idea but it just didn't work out but he's left them options here are you kidding me all right no it's no good yeah come on that's what I'm saying he's going to get extra aggressive here facing this minus one to four ball deficit well this now Tony's going to roll the eight in get down on the seven rolled the three in isn't he oh the three I'm sorry that's okay you know I mean you don't I know I know that you're facing a minus one to four deficit but you don't want to give this guy shots to give him some confidence and put him in stroke too okay that's has a lot to do with the with the hill hill game by the way you know you want to you want to go into a hill hill game you with the with the much conf idence as your opponent and right now if you go into a hill hill game Scott's going to not have the confidence that Tony has because of you know what transpired he's just let that just open up they've creeped in like that he hits that shot so nice with that nice Pace like that yeah you always got to make your opponent earn it earn it earn it that was what Nick Varner that's that's one of the things that he did so well he Nick never gave anything away it didn't matter what the score was he never gave anything he could be facing a seven to one deficit he would still play careful and tight and never give up anything and he won so many games so many tournaments because of that mindset you know and I have a video of him playing Hopkins and then the you know the break and the exchange and Nick goes down 70 immediately and then two hours later after multiple scratches Nick won that game I'm going to I'm going to go off the topic a little bit here there's a lady in attendance down there her name is joeanne jansco okay oh wow cool she's she's sitting down there maybe later on we can put the camera on her yeah because she was part of of the of of the biggest tournament in pool and that was not only with the the showb bar in in in Johnston City yeah and I'm certainly sure everybody has heard of Johnston City that was the greatest tournament of our time and it's the reason the Derby City Classic exists and this is a remake of the John St John to get her on camera show everybody uh is is she wearing black yeah she's right over there in the in the wheelchair oh in okay my bad okay yeah so maybe maybe later on in this match which I'm I'm sure unless the Scott wins this game it doesn't appear that's going to happen maybe we can take a good look at her and the and she was really a gorgeous woman not that she still is at her age yeah but it seems like she's come AC upon some some health issues Miss Joanne jansco wonderful person that's cool that she comes down here enjoys this yeah without in her blood the jansco brothers yeah you know yeah I missed out she in the wheelchair uh kind of out in the corner away from us she's on the other side of the Arena where you enter the tournament area here she's on a black sweater a black top I should say as a gentleman sitting sitting in the chair next to her in an elevated chair has on the same black sweater with the something on uh on the on on the front of the sweater look at Tony so smooth well here we go two two and now will be a good time to put her on the camera let's go the camera will take a a look not let's put the camera on the other end of the table not on showan if you could and then there oh to the left to the left to the left it's where you enter the tournament it'll be to the right of Kenny as he's standing at the table there they are there they are now that's Joanne jansco right there and she was the uh the sister or the I think the daughter yeah she was the daughter of of the famous uh dance PA Paul and she was I believe she was the sister of Paul and George I'm not I'm totally correct on that but anyways there she is and uh this is wonderful to see her because it brings back memories Tony laid down a good one here in this final game yeah and he's got a lot of confidence now because he went into this final final rack with confidence Scott gave him things that he shouldn't have to build on that confidence and to lessen his confidence quite a bit that's the way I look at it and that's why it's so important to make your opponent earn everything he gets because you know that he's going to that in his mind all the time I'm not going to get anything from this guy I'm going to have to earn it and that's wearing that's wearing on but also might have led the white Scot tried a couple aggressive things too knowing he's going to have to earn it so this is kind of a predicament a little bit tough to even take a foul here yeah he looks like he's doing something he wants to play the three off the one but you got to do a good job with the QQ ball for sure I don't know maybe you should take an intentional that's why I'm saying it's even hard to do that it's and maybe an intentional would be the the choice here but where do you take it right where do you take your intentional he's looking down there doubling you up no I don't think that's available I think the five sneaks past 13 oh okay I do believe well that's why he checked anyway he's in a pickle which he smiling that mean that means I don't like it at all it's called whistling by the graveyard is he kicking the seven his way no trying to B the seven or oh that got ugly that got real ugly all of a sudden I'll tell you the shot I would have shot yeah if you can get an overhead I'll tell you grab the overhead real quick he I would have I would have kicked one two three and try to kick right into here uhhuh that's what I would have shot that shot you know that would have been a better better shot than what he shot well of course considering the results obviously and so he he's going to be fortunate to make an appearance back at the table T he might just draw this and play both balls I was wondering if rather than fool was trying to preserve one he's going to shoot the combination there wow he's going to open up the balls nice here which he didn't okay he's playing for five no he's playing for four excuse me and there they are the six the 69 I believe will be the choice the 69 and I think after the nine he play for the 12 he's going for the 12 first when it comes to run the balls we're going we're not going to worry about his selections on that he he gets out smooth a lot of times yeah but uh anyway he did fall a little bit awkward here like maybe okay making up his mind oh he's looking at the nine no six he's looking the six what's he doing with the Q ball that now that even was now he's looking for two here yeah playing for one Scott recogniz it a great out and that was all stem from that great break well you know I mean Scott was really a playing great pool I don't I don't I don't agree with he what he did the last two racks especially later on in in the rack that preceded this and that shot that he shot there was uh I don't know what to say but going into that rack or last couple racks he was playing great had a two to one advantage and he certainly earned it but then then things started un unfold hey it's a great match and the other the opponent puts a ton of heat on you you know this well two of the greatest of all time this has been world class pool brought to you by acats the worldwide leader in biller programming that is our time for this time so long [Music] [Laughter] he e e e e e e
