against Collingwood is is like it's bare minimum it's it's it's bare minimum 100% so after that game he has basically said I'm proud of you achieving a service level achievement right so when you it it just seems too vague well every team puts is in the contest the ball is a contest 5050 contest so they'll have and and I would hope it be the case they'd have a metric on okay contest pressure we we were like a brutal turnover team scoring really well from our defensive half hurting team on transition as well and and our stoppage game just went went away I say went away a little bit but it's kind of like when you have a focus on something else and really good at something else natur something else is going to drop off naturally something else will that's just maths and Science and we were kind of happy about it doesn't matter cuz we're playing well the performances were we were finding another another to thatat way to win but and we happy about that of course but when you need the stoppage game to come in if there's a game ST where it needs to be we had it against Port Adela the game was ebing and flying ebing and flying and flying and then that last quarter we went bang with our stoppages and we slaughtered them from from goals from square and go and we we annihilated them in that part so a good coach and a good manager will have you prepared for every scenario right so and and up until the uh where was it up until the July game um up until the Richmond game I said I go from what I'm looking at in this patch we look like we're prepared for all scenarios we're prepared to be able to absorb if we need to play back if there's a game state where because you're going to have games where opposition may just get on top of you for a period and we have to absorb right but then what are you doing during that game State when you're playing out of your defensive half for a prolonged period of time what are you doing to get out of there right are you sending bodies up or are you continually sitting back how do you get out of that shell right and that takes courage when you're sitting back to play that ball y to play that risky handle to play that risk it takes courage it also takes Personnel so then I look at the mid block when we're playing in the middle of the ground right and we've been siphoned up through the middle on a lot of occasions right but on the weekend in that second quarter and even the first quarter we tried to move that ball to dangerous areas just defensively we're lost yeah yeah we're all over the shop all over the shop right and that's connection and communication 100% look at Kemper mcgu for that passage of play no talk and Jacob weering confirmed it at his press conference he said there was a lack of communication on the want to play right in football and in sport right the only way you can play a sustainable Championship winning mold in the modern day is you have to play a front half game you cannot play we were us together right and it's the first time we've had to deal with a slump after being second at this time of the year this is the first time we've all had to deal with it right and I actually think everybody has been very calm and level-headed about it and I actually think that's going to hold us in good stead right because everyone's lost it everyone's it right everyone everyone's lost it this we every disgrace it was and it was right it was horrible on the weekend but no one has said he's got to go she's got to go they've got to go so that's what I for for me that's what's keeping the right the other thing I'll say and I came up with the optimistic Viewpoint because I think you need to be balanced in everything you say right you can be one way or the other and people are inclined to sometimes be a bit more pessimistic and negative and sometimes people are in the middle and sometimes people are just the ever forever Optimist of course so we haven't heard the optimistic Viewpoint properly I would say over this period of time right so say for argument sake we win our next two games I'm just saying for argument sake right say for argument sake we win our next two games and we sneak into the eight yep we' have won more games than last year yep yeah cuz there's an extra round would have won more gam no no no still playing playing arounds no no no same same thing same back at last year injuries sore bodies and poor management has definitely been part of the derailment this season there's no doubt that that has that has to be a factor no but it has to be the players Prime difference makers Charlie ding uh Walsh sad they've all been restricted to a point right the other thing I'll say too is that um a positive wind loss Ledger that has to be some sort of that has to be some sort of tick um and if you look at where we have come from since Voss was at the club we have made steady Improvement right so when he came in in 2021 the end of 2021 we were 13th we got up to 9th then we got up to last year say three and a half because we say 3 and a half right 3.5 and now at the moment we're down in ninth yeah and say we went our last two we eth but we' have won one more game than the previous year so where does that sit so you tell us like you're riding yeah no I just I don't it's get a gaug on it is hard to get a gauge on do you understand what so that's the optimistic Viewpoint right so so when you look and you're looking at it in number form so you're looking at it as far as like numbers and that and and I suppose it's it's a numbers game if you had have said right if you had have said you know oh we're going to win one more game than than than last season or two more games in last season you probably say oh it's it's probably top four yeah you see are they getting burges I'm not even blaming allj because players come in how were they taught when Young when they came into the club what were their standards when they came in how did they evolve their bodies all there some injuries that he had no right contact injuries you can't really deal with so so this is just me being the forever Optimist right and kurat as he says kurat this is around to you and say if I tell you that we're second on the ladder with six points clear with some of those injuries and playing good football and now we're fighting for the eight then what would you say probably what we're saying now and this is what I mean so you can turn it around any way you like to make it suit your argument and go yeah we won more yeah but it's not that we won one more game so all so I'll ask this right say the year ends right say say regardless of what happen say we win our last two games we make the eight yes right or we don't win our last two we win one and we missed the eight by a percentage or we missed the eight by a bit right are you sticking the course with everything no you can't stick the course with everything you have to there you have to change so I'm saying do you stick the course with the core the core I'm saying your principles your foundation your values your but they always have to stay that that has to remain so what you change Personnel in order to adhere to what believe is the right thing so my fear and I I pray the club doesn't do this and you see with the game plan they're changing this and changing that cuz they see one reaction to saying I'm just saying if you throw everything out then these players are going to what the [ __ ] no no you don't throw everything out but it has to adapt it has to evolve it does but to a certain extent you can't overreact but it's still got to evolve because every other thing is going to evolve to believe in your game style your principles we've gone away from it but the other thing is when you you talk about our game style and that have we got like at the end of day best players to execute the game probably not not for long enough they can but they can't do it for long enough consistently my my fear is that they've and and it's they've changed up a bit too much based on a few things I want them reactor I want them to be steadfast in what they truly believe and what got us to that point of being 12 for and and but also I mean tactics are also dictated by your personnel but they shouldn't be I believe they shouldn't be your tactics should always be what system based and out any other team if we make it from here call against us the first time they were decimated which is what I'm saying so if we can get through the next few week somehow and results go away we make finals I'll tell you what with that week off before finals we get a couple players back nobody wants to play an up and about Caron in that first final and if we get one we'll get two if we can get two
