chunk PL AC cross Midfield and they've got it first and 10 just outside the 40 from the gun running back gets to give solid fundamentals on that tackle from this freshman know I think a big part of this isn't necessarily scoring a touchdown on that plate but you're just trying to get your offensive line in the rhythm of the game let those Big Fellas get lathered up didn't get much on first down it's second and nine moving the running back forcing the defense to adjust and just wedges ahead a bit before he's brought down third started this drive with a bang but now it is third down looking to throw it's Moss now adjusting he gambles and throws one all the way back to the left and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play well we knew this offense wanted to be aggressive in this game plan and they're doing it right away the first series taking a shot down the field they got the look they wanted and what a great throw by the quarterback he set up to throw got it and to the end zone touchdown Southern cow you want to talk about a great way to start the game and set the tone early it's so nice to have a quarterback just get himself into the game get himself established you make a couple throws you lead your offense down the field you score right off the bat could not have been a better start for that QB and with the extra point they get the first seven of the game almost ready to kick it away after scoring the touchdown he'll bring it out it's Hunter they got him for a safety and there's a fine line between being a aggressive and Reckless and he just ran right across it when he ran back into his own End Zone running it back it's Hudson running through contact they finally get him stopped after he maneuvered his way to the 42 and guys USC has the ball back and sending the offense onto the field how about the way they attacked the last time they had the ball mixing running pass and winding up in the end zone Jesse that's why recruiting is so important they've got weapons at every skill position on the field any of these guys is dangerous if they touch the football let's see what they do on this drive David and so pler I got to take away something I can't let them have everything and have success I got to be aggressive against the run or play for the pass I can't give them everything they'll leave it with him and a nice solid pick up there before the defense wrestles to the ground offensive linemen love to run the power why you run power you run power then you can play action you don't want that defense to be sitting there of the [Applause] 30 now here comes that Auburn offense onto the field again and the last time they had the ball they wound up giving up a safety Jess yeah that was UNG good the last time they had the ball so they got to do something here offensively to get into a rhythm running and throwing the football try to find that consistency and try to find something positive with this offense forget about the safety those don't happen very often try to get some first downs together get some good mojo going dropping back it's Thor quickly to the tight end stopped at the 44 after a 5yd gain the run to the right they get him on the ground and with that we'll head to the second quarter will start the quarter offense about to snap it on second down quick pass on the jet motion and the Freshman does a great job using his technique in getting the man on the ground well and on these little push passes timing is so important trying to snap it right as he's getting a full head of steam when he gets the ball he's hitting the outside David it puts the defense in such a typic difficult spot you immediately have to be rotating when you see that motion so everybody's got to commun kind of bump over that's why offenses love to run it just it makes the defense communicate and see if you can just get him out of a spot the tigers are moving quickly down the field from the gun the running back looking for room and they try to run inside and there is nowhere to go it's an offense that takes pride in being physical they try to get it going on the ground but no gain on that one does Nowhere to Run not a lot of wiggle room for the ball carry this defense came in knowing that they had to match their physicality let's see if they can keep it up on second down looking again to throw caught over the middle it's Fairweather and he's knocked down immediately but not before he moved the chains I think that receiver really had two choices there catch the ball or he was going to wear it in his chest yeah he's going to be maybe taking an ice bath after too many of these Crow outs and catches them in the body like that this quarterback has a cannon arm the receiver found the soft spot in the zone and man the quarterback gave him no choice and the Tigers will try to punch it in on first and goal easy movement here from the tight end with the run on first goal and makes his way into the end zone touchdown Tigers that's a nice drive and nice physicality punching it in with the Run game and here's the thing I like where this offense is going nice job creating some momentum going into the half cutting down the lead this thing could get really exciting nice job answering the Bell right before the half and he knocks the extra point through the upright about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown fielded In The End Zone it's bran he stopped short of the 20 at the 19 and probably wishes he just taken the touch back this Trojan offense is ready to go back to work last time David it was one two three kick the last drive that three and out sometimes that puts your defense in a bad spot you got to get it drive together here so you don't wear the defense out I just think David too predictable that last Drive they got to do something here to get this defense on their heels it's complete to the left at the 40 there he goes he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense they done really good job identifying mismatches and they find one out of the back field there ree I really don't think it's that hard my guy is better than yours find the match up across the field running back's got some speed get it in his hands quickly throw it to him fast let him make somebody Miss against a slower guy that's usually aive the Trojans headed quickly to the line trying to find his man on first down pocket starts to collapse always a welcome play the defense as they get a sack at the 47 that Defender is a matchup nightmare for any offensive lineman to block he's got athleticism he's got length he's got flexibility he put it all in display on that sack dropping back it's Moss he'll throw it and it'll be incomplete this defense is physical and pass deep now facing a third and [Applause] long looking to throw and he needs a chunk play and that pass is intercepted didn't really get a chance to get started on that return but he has set him up at the 41 yd line well that's the danger about being in a third and long situation you've got to push the football down field and the defense is expecting it so they've got guys in the back end with their eyes on the QB they're able to make the interception this offense going to have to do a better job generating better plays early in drives moving forward not able to break the big one on that screen to the running back but he found enough and a solid pick up on first down the number one goal as a defense is try to hit the QB as many times as possible try to Rattle him try to get him flustered a little bit nice job getting there getting the hit on him but job of executing by the quarterback taking the hit delivering the strike caught close to the marker it's fair weather and they bring him down but did you see this freshman rifle that thing in there they pick up the first down on the drag route I know that seems like a simple route but it's actually a lot more complex than what it looks like because that route changes based on whether it's man or Zone if it's man coverage he's flying across the field if it's Zone he's got to sit down over the ball and a soft spot giving his quarterb a place to go with it nice job of those guys being on the same page there oh he's going to try to hit him over the top and he ran away from the crowd and he'll take it in touchdown quarterbacks love receivers that can get separation but that amount of Separation uh is a little excessive I agree Ree and I think the defense needs to have a little powow on the sidelines and talk about what just happened because that was an absolute bust of coverage on the back end defense can't keep playing like that and with the extra point they're on top by five quick strike offense on that three play scoring drive and the final 41 yds covered by that touchdown [Applause] strike the kickoff team out there set to boed away and he'll just take a knee and this drive will start at the 25 guys USC has the ball back and sending the offense onto the field this lead in the half you're behind you'd love to create something before the break to build momentum Jesse but you've also had some miscues on offense a big part of why you're losing the game right now I'd take it into halftime make my adjustments and come out ready in the second half yeah I'm going to take it in halftime too Paul but I'm trying to put some points up right here be aggressive set the tone be like Hey listen this is what you're going to get in the second half so find something really quickly you can go to after the incompletion it's second and 10 from their own 25 DB will try to keep everything in front release to the back and that one incomplete probably the toughest call on the play sheet third and long Ball's at the 25 on the move it's Moss throws to the tight end got him downfield and he was loose and not stopped until he gets to the 47 yd line a timeout is called as this offense tries to find a way to get more points on the board before the half and the Trojans will have it first and 10 [Applause] looking to move it through the air catch in the middle it's branch and a good job of coverage by that defense just a short pick up time dwindling away as they try to put points on the board right before the half looking to throw on second down the pass is incomplete and the clock will stop with 5 seconds left one more play before the team's heads of the locker rooms on third down he'll try to pick it up through the air going for it all pass is incomplete and half comes to a close on that play the Trojans will kick it off to start the second half he'll bring it out it's Hunter rolling the dice to bring it out of the end zone did not work out as he stopped at the [Music] [Applause] 13 and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense they got plenty done through the air in the first half and we'll see if they even need to look for balance as we start the third quarter well and I I think defensively you understand like the running game isn't a big part of the plan I wonder how they adjust and play more coverage to this pass at the offense yeah so you're going to have to be ready if you're a quarterback then you're probably going to see some different coverages you might see a little bit more Blitz in this second half as well so you have to know where your answers are offense has it at the 28 on first down motion from the offense quick touch pass to the receiver got enough for the first down stopped at the 43 after the 15yd pickup I love that play call and I love the timing of the pre-nap motion because the quarterback was able to get it to the receiver right behind the offensive line because of the timing he was able to outflank the defense that puts him out in space where he's able to use his speed nice job with the pre- snap Motion in time and he finds Some solid space makes a nice game before the defense is able to stop him I know it's sexy to throw the football but if you can pound it away and get these kind of gains they will just add up wear the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some points the back goes in motion the give to the back brought down to the ground but he has enough for the first down and listen the offensive line has to do their job but a really good job by the running back understanding where his hole is go hit it get the first down don't mess around nice job following his hole getting positive yards it's first and 10 they've moved it to the 41 they're going to ride this running back this is so nice to know you can start off on first down with positive plays positive yards handle the football off set up a good second [Applause] down solid pick up of four on first down it's second and [Applause] six wide receiver now comes in motion looking for room it's Hunter ripping off a good chunk inside the 25 and they're set up with a first down in halime in this locker room there's a lot of positive things to talk about you got the lead but you know what else will be positive Palmer get the running game going early in this second half you're absolutely right here and I think this coaching staff is going to try to put this game on the offensive line a little bit let these guys take this thing over be physical and push this defense around the give to the tail back he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple so first down didn't exactly go according to plan let's see what they can dial up on second down re I got to right where I want okay I'm going to throw the football now I can get back a shotgun forget the running game stuff we're going to play a little pitch and catch and see how good that secondary is out of the gun the running back has [Applause] it and he's able to shed one tackle and gets a pretty good pick [Applause] up 14c back on the field after the break and we'll start the quarter here on third down quarterback checking off dropping back it's Thorne now he's going to break the pocket he makes a grab gets it inside the five down to the four and it'll be first and goal nice job executing the 4minute offense you know they practiced this throughout the week having a lead late in the game running plays to just get enough to get first downs to stay on the field and they are executing this four-minute offense to Perfection this offense not only has a chance to extend the lead on first and goal but they can also drain the clock they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one yeah I think my thought process needs to be points are good cuz if I get a field goal here that's fine I take the lead by more than a field goal they got to go the length of the field but I also want to run this clock let it continue to work but the goal is to get a touchdown so let's see what this offense dials up next and lost ground on first down now second and goal from the five easy aler aler the run up the middle looking for the score he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three two things you're thinking about here offensively is one you want to take as much time off the clock but two you really want to score another touchdown to make this a two- possession game you can almost ice it if you can find a way to get in the end zone here just take your time don't snap it too quickly [Applause] third and goal coming up here from the gun wants to pass he's got takes it to the house touchdown over you know late in the games offenses sometimes get conservative when they got the lead and they got the ball I love this off defense they were aggressive they got another score added to the lead now you're trying to Salt this game away getting set for the point after and with the extra point the lead is a dozen here in the fourth they put it in the end zone with a 12pl scoring drive and they finish things off with an eight- yd toss for the score about to kick it off after it in for the touchdown he'll bring it out it's Branch bringing the heat he stopped at the 23 a couple yards short of where he would have been with a Touchback this Trojan offense is ready to go back to work comes out throwing on first down he wants a big play here late hits him inside the 20 still going touchdown Trojan and once he found some daylight it was time to make a house call and listen still the ways to go a great job by this offense getting you back in the ball game now we got a one possession game we got our score we didn't were supposed to do now how do we get this stopped now the defense has to come up big and get me the Rock back and with the extra point every little bit counts as they get closer that's the kind of Drive everybody loves so see quarterback One Snap put it in the end zone lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown Drive you'll call for the fair catch here now here comes that alurn offense onto the field again one possession game getting late first order of business just take care of the football so they call this situation four-minute offense where you're trying to run the football and throw high percentage passes to maintain possession and bleed the clock this this is a very difficult point of the game to execute at a high level though yeah and listen what you understand as an offense is if I get one or two first downs this ball game's over and that's your sole objective not scoring take care of the football get a few first downs walk out with the W from the 39 yd line it's first and 10 they move the tight end all over to give as they work on that clock they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one defense uses a timeout quickly trying to get that ball back and preserve time for their [Applause] offense I'd expect we're going to get another dose of the running game at this point even though it's second and 11 F motion from the offense back to throw it's Thorne and he was hit just as he was releasing the pass and it falls to the ground incomplete and finally the defense is able to get some pressure on this quarterback they had been trying all game long different ways to affect him weren't able to get there but on that play because of the pressure it affected his accuracy that's why the ball Falls incomplete now the quarterback changing the original play call on third down going up top got it in the middle it's Hunter quick time out called by the defense stopping the clock to save as much time as possible for their offense they' hope to be able to pick up enough after the catch but a good stop leaves them with a fourth and short really good job by the defense being physical understanding the situation in the game the ball's going to come out quick you know that go make the tackle Force the fourth down [Applause] quick timeout call by the offense after the [Applause] play they'll keep the offense on the field on fourth down already with a onep possession lead they'll move the running back to try to force the defense to adjust the Tigers brought to the ground but not before picking up the first how about that you got the lead late in the game get some first downs salt this clock away this is the exact position you want your offense in imposing their will right David I mean we know we're running it you know we're going to run it we're trying to ice this game there's nothing you can do to stop it looking to go up top on first down a strike downfield and he's marked down right there but a good pick up and it'll be a first down Auburn trying to work this clock down the offense showing motion from the tight end trying to get a read on the D out of the gun the inside hand off looking for a crease makes the tackle right at the 21 yd line pick up of 10 on the play and this offense is threatening with a first down well the offense knew what they needed to get that first down so they dial up the running play and they get just enough to keep the drive alive might as well give it to him again they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one the Tigers want to move quickly they'll try the Run solid fundamentals on that tackle from this freshman already in field goal range but now trying to convert this third and long from the 20 and he's not going to make it the defense denying him the first down they get the timeout call with seven seconds left on the clock and now on fourth down they will put it on the shoulders of the kicker to save them with his foot GG good the offense has three points to show for the drive that's a huge kick right there because now the opponent has to score a touchdown here in the fourth quarter that put so much pressure on the opponent nice job by the Special Teams going out and executing in a big moment coming out with it it's Branch stopped at the 17 and he's probably second guessing that return guys USC has the ball back and sending the offense onto the field desperation time and they've got to take a shot at the end zone David yes we do we got we got to bring in the fast guys bring in the tall guys Jesse get that quarterback ready to buy some time and Chuck this puppy up somebody is just going to have to step up here and make a miraculous play one onone they're just going to have to make the play of their life to win this game the rankings the odds makers everything indicated that these guys had a big hill to climb but they climbed it they got to the top and they get a landmark win and we know coaching staffs always do a great job trying to motivate their own guys and get them ready to play A ranked opponent but David to me it looked like this team just wanted it more they came
