WEEK 0 COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREDICTIONS!

Intro it is week zero of the college football season and we have got four games this week uh starting off the 2024 college football season and we are going to be doing one of these videos every single week predicting every single college football game here in 2024 at least at the FBS level now in week zero we have got Florida State and Georgia Tech in the first game at about I think it was at noon Eastern then you've got um New Mexico taking on Montana State Southern Methodist then heads to Reno to take on Nevada and in the night cap at midnight youve got Hawaii taking on Delaware state so we are going to predict all four of these games obviously next week in week number one there's going to be a 100 games give or take considering a lot of schools are going to be playing FCS teams and we're not going to go through every single game next week but I will be listing picks for every single game and then going over 10 or 15 of the key games at length but of course with this first week we have time to talk about all four of these games in you know detail um starting of course with that game in duin between Florida State and Georgia Tech and folks if you haven't not yet though make those videos in the description down below but let's start Florida State vs. Georgia Tech off with Florida State and Georgia Tech and we're going to give the pick right away we're going to talk about it we're going to go with Florida State to win the game I don't think that's that that's not too controversial of a pick out a minus 450 favorite but we are taking Florida State to cover 10 and a half again neutral sight game in Dublin Ireland you get these games every once in a while I believe last year was Notre Dame the game last year I think they were um I think it was Notre Dame I know Northwestern played in Ireland a couple years ago um we got Florida State and Georgia Tech again florid State's getting 10 and a half um on the radish but again a neutral sight game Florida State of course last year was very damn solid they went undefeated in the ACC they went undefeated in the regular season 13-0 but obviously got screwed as they did not make the playoffs because of the injury to Jordan Travis in that game against North Alabama they would go on to win the ACC Championship Game beat Louisville and then run into Georgia in the Orange Bowl obviously they lost by 60 points in that game but you know what was it over half their starters I think it was like 75% of their starters did not play in that game Florida state did lose out a little bit in the portal actually quite a bit in the portal um but they did transfer in DJ ouang gele obviously the former Clemson quarterback um who transferred to Oregon State last year obviously Oregon state had everyone split from their program most of their guys went to Michigan State but most of their entire team split obviously Aiden Charles went to Michigan State DJ uele who was a starter last year went to Florida State and again it's a new I wouldn't say it's a new era for Florida State obviously again last year they missed out in the playoffs but they are one of the favorites to Wi the ACC you got them you got Clemson Miami is always expected to be good and I would say I would take NC State as well as maybe a dark horse to win the entire ACC this season but obviously with the expanded playoffs there's a lot easier for Florida State to make it um but again they got screwed last year they're coming back taking on Georgia Tech obviously led by haes King who is their starting quarterback Georgia Tech last season I believe they were seven and5 um in the regular season yeah five or sorry 6- six in the regular season ended up winning the gaspero Bowl against UCF um at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa weren't great Georgia Tech as a whole played Louisville week one lost finished their year against Georgia and lost as well I just think Florida State's the allaround better team um again they're right in the highs I guess of that undefeated season last year Georgia Tech did lose quite a bit in the portal Florida State didn't really improve that much in the portal either obviously they got DJ uang gele to replace Jordan Travis um but again I think Georgia Tech lost a lot in the transfer portal as well I think Florida state is all around the better team and way better team and I think they are going to win this game I'm going Say by around 21 points I think they're going to win this game by three touchdowns if they're able to stop that passing attack out of Georgia Tech and they're able to stop Hanes King and really limit the damage he's able to do I think Florida State's going to run away with this game I think the defense again is still probably going to be pretty solid for them this year and I'm going to take Florida State to win and cover we're taking the Florida state seminal to win in Dublin Ireland okay our next game Montana State vs. New Mexico here Montana State St takes on New Mexico Montana State opens as one of the biggest favorites um as an FCS team against an FBS school since 2013 you got to go back to where old dominion was a 14-point favorite over Idaho that's kind of interesting now because old Dominion's now in the FBS and Idaho's back in the FCS um but it is what it is Montana State again getting 10 and a half here on the road at New Mexico 10 and a half 11 and a half depending on where you find it right now um I think they cover I'll be honest with you Montana state is one of the better FCS schs you look at what they did last year Montana State's only losses are South Dakota State who is regarded as probably the best school in the FCS right now Idaho who's again a top 10 School in the FCS Montana who is another top 10 School top five School in the FCS who they played in the Rivalry game and then they lost in the playoffs in the second round to North Dakota State and again you know the history North Dakota state has in the FCS they're going to play Colorado next week in a very tough game for the buffalow but of course of course North Kota state had their little again they had their lineage of quarterbacks they went from Carson Wentz to Tre Lance the East and stick they had guys at the quarterback position for a very long time there um and North Dakota State's always been a very solid school coming out of the FCS they have been the best school of the FCS winning what 11 of 13 championships I believe at one point in time um and those are the only losses Montana state had last year they're taking on New Mexico and New Mexico was very bad last season they won a couple games the best one being that road win against Fresno State I don't know how they went into Fresno and win I think I'm personally picking Fresno State to win the Mountain West I know they doubt the a lot of injuries at the back end of last season um but I think Fresno State's going to win the Mountain West this season and I think they are going to be in the playoffs if I'm being honest with you um but New Mexico again saw varied success not a lot they beat Tennessee Tech it is what it is FCS school they beat UMass they went to massachusett and beat UMass by three they beat Hawaii which again expected to do and then they pulled off the upset on the road in Fresno against Fresno State um but all around this team's not very good uh Dylan Hopkins um you know was their guy last season um you know the UAE the UAB transfer I just don't think New Mexico is very good this year um I do think Montana State's going to go in there and win I think again the Mountain West as a whole is a very poor conference this season um you've got the upper echelon of teams obviously we're looking at Fresno State and such but again we're going to talk about a very bad M Mountain West team next a team that is probably worse than New Mexico I'm looking at Nevada but I'm taking Montana state to go into New Mexico and win I do think they cover to 11 and A2 obviously you're taking Montana state to win the game at minus 450 but this is again one of the better FCS schools I think a lot of the Big Sky teams can compete with a lot of the good Mountain West schools again I'm looking at Montana Idaho Montana State UC Davis and saak state as well maybe not Davis but saak State Montana State Idaho Montana I think these schools can really all compete in the Mountain West especially against some of these really bad Mountain West schools um and I am taking Montana state to go into New Mexico and win and cover this is this is going to go one in two ways okay either Montana State wins and completely covers or they just lose all right I don't see it going any other way either Montana State goes in there and beats the breakes off of New Mexico or they're going to go into New Mexico and lose the football game that's just kind of how I I'm feeling this game out I think Montana State though does go in there and win we are taking the Bobcats to go in and cover in New Mexico let's go on to our next one SMU vs. Nevada Southern Methodist heads on the road to take on Nevada in Reno SMU the American champions last season they won 8-0 in conference last year lost to Oklahoma TCU and they lost to Boston College in the Fenway Bowl um but again ball games really don't mean anything because half their guys don't play um but SMU now first season in the ACC they are in the Atlantic Coast Conference um you know projected to finish probably middle of the pack in the ACC this year you got Florida State Clemson Miami NC State the schools we talked about earlier projected projection wise then you got Louisville VTEC and then SMU in that seventh spot obviously rounding at the bottom of the conference you got Wake Forest Virginia and Stanford um but SMU is a pretty solid school right they're pretty solid program um again coming to the ACC this year I think they should beat the breaks off Nevada now 24 and a half is a lot to cover on the road and obviously again you're not going to play this but minus 3,000 for SMU obviously we're picking them to win the game Nevada's just God awful right two wins last season they went on the road to beat San Diego State 6 nothing at Snapdragon Stadium don't know how that happened and they beat New Mexico who we talked about earlier who again New Mexico is not very good either they're projected I think they're going to lose to an FCS school um and we're going to talk about another FCS School against a Mountain West school next in our final game of the week um but Nevada went 2- 10 last year you look at their non-conference they lost 33-6 to Idaho last year Idaho again came in to Reno and beat the breaks off Nevada they played USC in the first game of the season lost obviously they went to Texas State in their other non-conference game and lost Nevada just didn't get all that much better in the off season they're kind of again I feel like they're going to be the same type of Team going into um going into 2024 they have a new head coach in Jeff Cho who was uh what was he he was the Cod defensive coordinator at Texas again is what it is I don't really think it changes their program all that much SMU again firing all on all cylinders last season um of course their coach is coming back as well um I think they're the way better school originally this game was at minus it was at 282 for SMU at the beginning of the week if it was at 28 and a half I was probably going to take Nevada to cover that I don't know again what beating a team by five touchdowns is tough of course again four touchdowns and a field goal or whatnot but again covering 29's tough on the road SMU is going to cover 24 a half they are the much better team they have a way more high-powered offense I don't think Nevada is going to be able to keep up and I don't know if Nevada is going to be able to score that much either they're just not a very good football team they're again one of the lower teams in the Mountain West we are talking today about some of the worst teams in the Mountain West New Mexico Nevada Hawaii and they're being put on a national stage this week and Nevada is going to get the break speed off them at home in Reno I'm taking SMU to cover and of course to win going on to our final Delaware State vs. Hawaii game of the week we've got Delaware State taking on the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors we're going to go with the Hornets to cover Delaware state now I understand this is one of the worst teams in the FCS and they had their whole mixup on flights getting to Hawaii earlier this week they missed their flight from Delaware to Hawaii I assume they have a layover somewhere but they missed their flight at the beginning of the week I think everything's figured out now I Believe by now in this time of the week they are in Hawaii but this is a school who went what 1 in 10 last season they've played Army lost 57 nothing they played Miami of Ohio lost 62 to20 their only win the entire year last year was Virginia Lynchberg a Baptist School in Virginia who what are they D2 I don't even know I have never heard of this school I'll be honest with you they beat him 4817 okay yeah that was bad their coaching Lee Hull is back he's the former coach at Morgan State he was a receivers coach of course uh for the Colts this is tough again Delaware State's not very good but Hawaii isn't very good either and I understand teams have trouble going to Hawaii and winning but Hawaii doesn't really beat anybody by what 40 points I think that's a tough line for Hawaii again Hawaii Hawaii hosted Albany last season Al ALB um was a team I believe who did make the playoffs last season they lost to South Dakota state in the FCS um and Hawaii did beat albony they beat him by 11 points but again I don't know if Hawaii can truly beat anybody by 40 I just think that line is way too big for Delaware state to not cover and I understand it Del Delaware State last season got beat in the FCS by over 40 points before um Richmond beat them by okay Richmond beat them by 32 miav Miami of Ohio beat them by 42 I understand it's a Max school um but yes they got the brakes beat off them a lot in in the uh FCS H North Carolina Central I believe beat them by 41 so that would have covered the spread um but again North Carolina Central one of the better teams in the FCS as well I think they're able to cover Hawaii as a whole again is just they don't beat anybody that by that amount last year they didn't win a game by over 40 the year before when they played Duane they beat them by 10 just traditionally when we're looking at these matchups Hawaii just doesn't win by that much um I think that Delaware State goes in there and I think they keep it not competitive don't get me wrong I think Hawaii is going to win by a pretty fair margin but I do think Hawaii wins in about that 28 to 31 Point range and I do think Delaware State holds on to cover but again obviously this game is not going to be close Hawaii's going to win but we are going with the Hornets who yes were 1 in 11 last season but again my thing is I don't think Hawaii can really outscore some outscore a team by that much and I think Delaware State holds on to cover that line but again it's going to be a blowout for the Rainbow Warriors so folks that does it for our week zero predictions here with the
