well the news come out today that Oklahoma running backs coach DeMarco Murray will be suspended for the opening game against Temple for recruiting violations so it is what it is but I'll I'll go today I seen it on Twitter from George Stoya that Oklahoma running backs coach DeMarco Murray will have a one game suspension that it appears to be against our opener against Temple for recruiting violations so I will just read you a little little bit of what I what I got on uh CBS Sports it says uh Oklahoma running backs coach DeMarco Murray will be suspended for one game this season after making 65 impermissible phone calls and 36 impermissible text messages involving 17 prospects over a 16mon span according to a division released Tuesday by the NCAA division one committee on infractions and Oklahoma agreed on the scope of the allegations which are classified as level two violations in addition to the suspension for Murray the Sooners have been fined $5,000 and will be on probation for a year Oklahoma that's us probation other penalties include recruiting restrictions have already been self-imposed by o Home Murray indicated He was unaware that a waiver of recruiting rules in place during the covid-19 pandemic had expired according to the nca's ncaa's announcement but the NCAA enforcement staff found that Oklahoma did proper properly educate football staffers on the timing of the changes in the recruiting calendar the NCAA also found that third year head coach rent venables violated head head coach responsibility rules in the case even though he was not personally involved with the violations now y'all probably seen me get tickled about the probations if I mean if one year guys I live through 7374 75 when we wasn't even on TV this is this is a little old probation this this ain't this ain't nothing but I seen on a another podcaster Discord they was asking if DeMarco Murray will be fired I no they they gave him an extension uh at the beginning of this year uh it's all good in in our world we're just going to be missing a running back coach for for one game um I would like to know oh this is this is just a gut feeling of mine Oklahoma probably ain't the only University that has violated re recruiting rules since the pandemic it's just we're Oklahoma the the NCAA they going to go go over us with a fine tooth comb because that's us we're we're Outlaws we've had that that we've had that bullseye on our back for a long time but you cannot sit there and tell me that other other uh universities have uh done have not done this same thing but I'm not going to let it worry me because like I said it's just a little a $5,000 fine that's chicken feed compared to some what others I've seen in so uh is it going to make an impact for temple no no it's not we're still going to go out there and crush them and we'll have DeMarco back for Houston and throughout the season we'll finish out our year of probation uh I'd like to know uh is why all of a sudden since the pandemic did it and did it appear now instead of last year or what have you I mean it's just now coming to light I mean it's never been reported on by other podcasters than today on a Tuesday April 27th it comes out today I mean it's mind bottling it I don't help me make help me make it help me understand help me make it make sense uh but it is what it is we going to go
