The 6 Best TE Sleepers For 2024 Fantasy Football

Our TOP 6 TE Sleepers for 2024 Fantasy Football five Titans drafted after the start of round 10 last year ended up as top 12 players at the position Dalton Schultz Sam leapa Jake Ferguson Trey McBride and depending on what platform you play on uh Tamm Hill is also included on that list Hayden let me also remind people that uh Sam lorta and Trey McBride are now being drafted as top three at the position so basically we can say that late round tight end absolutely smashed last year it might be more difficult to hit on those late round tight in names this offseason because a lot of the young guys that were unproven proved themselves this past season however Hayden the six names we have today I'm really excited about yeah I am too um and we still have to come up with a show so we're going to come up with six names regardless of how good they were um this is the podcast industry but yeah as I got into this I I see some it some tight ends who I think are just like young and good and then there's also some that are maybe okay but have a lot of opportunity based off the team and I'm looking for touchdowns here yards interceptions are nice but in half PPR best ball I'm just trying to find some touchdowns here so some of these guys maybe the average 30 yards a game but if they score two touchdowns in a game late in the year that's really all we need yeah we talked about this in our tight end ranking show where we aren't right now most likely drafting a Travis Kelce type season where he scores 14 points every single week like last year Sam Le pora and Travis Kel tied for 11 and a half fantasy points per game as the absolute Max and then the top seven guys scor double digits and that dropped down to eight and a half 8.3 8.3 and it gets in this territory of hey does he score touchdowns and if he does this week then he's most likely in your starting lineup but today it's more about maybe guys are being overlooked that could be in good situations based on coaching changes and all this type of stuff again you can draft all these players right now Underdog fantasy be sure to click the Subscribe button down below because we have Sleepers for every single position and as for each of these videos we go in confidence order so Hayden who is your first name here of our tight end sleepers group Pat fouth Hayden's 1st Player with the Steelers and I would be comfortable drafting him as my second tight end just kind of calling it a day right there like David and joku Pat fouth that's something that I like a lot it's his age 26 Season we've seen glimpses of him being a pretty good guy but he's dealt with some injuries obviously the Steelers offense has been very hit and miss I'm not expecting the Steelers to be great on offense this year but they're probably going to be a lot better than they were the last two seasons uh in 2022 two he was fourth in Miss tackles Force as a tight end he was seventh in that same category as a rookie he also scored seven touchdowns as a rookie which is pretty difficult to do and I think that Arthur Smith is actually a good coach when it comes to tight ends now obviously Kyle pittz that didn't work out but we've talked about this on this podcast a ton where he's almost like working as a wide receiver and also an injured wide receiver but if you look at jnu Smith who I think Pat Frou and jnu Smith there's a lot of skill set overlap just get him out to the flats has some speed can run kind of run away from guys there was a lot of schemed up opportunities with jnu Smith even going back to the Tennessee days with Arthur Smith so there's not a lot of Target competition it's basically George Pickins Pat fouth maybe Roman Wilson but uh early reports from him and he is kind of a slot receiver anyways kind of a low upside there's not really many guys to throw the ball to um so I think that you're going to get a lot of design stuff with Arthur Smith they're going to do a lot of two tight end sets but the second tight end is basically a third off offensive tackle on the field he'll stay in the block you get Pat Frou leaking out and I think this entire offseason is about let's get north south in the Run game and then can we design some things to PR Pat firemouth and let George pickings win isolated so career 1.4 yards per route run that's Sol enough but I think that's going to go up this year just based off the Dynamics of the offense being drafted right now as tight end 14 134 overall uh not just scoring six points is important for Titans but being on the field is important as well uh it is so funny to wa to look at the Personnel grouping usage that Arthur Smith had last season in Atlanta where if you look at like 11 personnel okay uh the Los Angeles Rams we know were top in the league at 95% okay then the 31st team was s Francisco 49ers down at 40% uh 32nd the Atlanta Falcons all the way down at 177% usage so this is a multiple tight in set kind of guy now certainly cow pittz and his wide receiver esque skill set kind of maybe mixed and mashed that a little bit but you had you know jonu Smith you had Miko puit you had some other dudes uh in the past that this is a multiple tight end set offense and as you said we get like very defined skills I think between Pat fouth and darno Washington or Washington is absolutely a third offensive tackle and a behemoth of a human being and then you have Pat fouth who as you said as a rookie was the tight in 11 and point scored and that dropped all way down to the tight end 28 because of the Kenny picket Mason Rudolph Matt Canada whoever else Dynamic uh I love Pat farmouth in drafts at the moment and I could easily see him finishing as a top eight top nine player at the position and again you're getting him right now at a discount I think is tight end 14 if Deontay Johnson he's left I don't know who's really replacing underneath unless George Pickins becomes like the Superstar everywhere which we haven't seen that's possible and I like the draft George Pickins um but Pat Frou might be the go-to guy kind of in that intermediate and short range there as well so yeah I think that he has like the most obvious path to upside now he's also the tight end that's ranked the highest after the the 120s uh so it's not very bold but I think there's a chance where he can go out there and kind of compete with the Evan Ingram we'll see about Kyle pittz like that type of tier of tight ends and he's being drafted four or five rounds after them and look if he exceeds your your models in terms of just touchdown efficiency and he gets you know eight targets inside the 10 yard line and scores on seven of those then that breaks models right and that just means he's going to jump up two or three spots at the tight end position for sure and not just people out there I would not copy and paste what the usage was and the targets and where they were for cowpits last year onto a tight end in this offense like we've talked about it a lot with cow pits how the biggest issue was not getting gimmies we've seen gimmies given to other tight end and Arthur Smith op that was the problem exactly and and Pat fouth I believe is going to get more of those than we saw with cowpits previously okay my first name is Hunter Henry Titan Josh's 1st Player 18 160 overall I mean I can't stop drafting Hunter Henry at this moment we'll get to that in a moment though uh and the reason being is this offense he's going into new offensive coordinator Alex velt comes from if we can call it this the Kevin stefansky tree we know that David and joku has blossomed under Kevin stansky in the last last couple years finished the tight end nine overall last season with finishing weeks of tight end two tight end two tight end three and tight end three to end 2023 wow then Drew ping Arizona Cardinals it took a little bit of time but once Trey McBride was fully incorporating this offense after five or six games uh he had the tight end two tight end three tight end seven tight end two tight end five in the span of seven games as well so look do I think that Hunter Henry is as young or as Nimble or as athletic as those two as those two guys I I do not not at this time but when you go back and watch Hunter Henry does he still beat you know linebackers even safeties in man-to-man coverage yes just go back and watch like that Miami Dolphins game I think he did it against the Kansas City Chiefs as well and then we know in zone he is Savvy he'll work in one spot move a couple yards in the opposite direction and pick his holes and pick his areas and just talking with coot McCoy who spent time in this offense under Drew petting last offseason there primary reads in a lot of situations are tight ends and it's a questionable group I mean he is like the most veteran presence other than Kendrick Bourne out there and so I mean hunter Henry is just a name that I am shocked to see he is going this late at the tight end position which is super questionable with McBride and njoku not a lot of Target competition in terms of wide receivers as well and we can make the same case with Hunter Henry they paid him a lot of money a new two-year contract almost $19 million in Practical guarantees he's going to be out there there is no Mike giki jnu Smith there's no weird two tight end uh that he has to worry about it's just going to be him out there a ton and even last year I mean a truly unwatchable Patriots offense he still had five games where he had caught four passes for 39 yards and a touchdown is that sexy no is that enough to go compete in best ball if you've completely punted this thing off it is and I do like if you are looking for stacking Partners Hunter Henry and then taking the upshot upshot chance at Drake may like the last round do think is a good way to play this and you're right Hunter Henry he's he was never like the sexiest player he's always just really effective out there all the coaches seem to love this dude and I think that he's the leader of the offense him and jacobe brassette leader of the offense uh because basically the rest of the skill core is extremely young and we don't have a fear that he's going to be the one left in Block in this situation among Titan room as well you sent me a chart prior to the show of Titan usage by team and and Arizona was fourth last year Cleveland was fifth I mean it would be shocking to me if New England isn't top eight across the league with their tight end usage as well okay I hinted at this but I've completed 20 drafts right now I have about 10 to 12 still going on but 20 drafts in our internal uh let's say employees only yep competitions on Underdog what do you think is my exposure to huner at this moment you got him in eight out of the 20 drafts oh Hayden he's done 63% of my jft at this okay 63 I don't think you can get to 63% out of out of 20 there so something's not adding up but uh it might be it might be 19 plus one on another one anyways yeah he's uh he's somebody I am sprinkling in uh here and there next name for you who is it Noah fan now this is my hunter Henry I've got him like at Hayden's 2nd Player nearly 50% 42% over here so right there with you I've seen a lot of fantasy analysts like to draft Noah fan he gets a 2-year $21 million contract you can paint an optimistic picture that he this is the same kind of trend line that we were at with David and joku where couple flashes wasn't getting the full-time playing time and now in the second contract he's going to be able to kind of break out no will disle no Colby Parkinson those aren't the craziest names ever but they were getting in the way uh in all but one of his healthy games last year Noah Fant was between 42% and 64% of snaps that's not enough to be into the best ball uh tight end sleeper show but if he goes into 80 or 100% of the snaps I do think that's enough even if we are talking about him being the fourth Target behind lock at jsn and metf I'm very bullish on the Seahawks in general their offensive coordinator we've talked about this a lot passed a ton also passed down the field and I think that's the fun part about Noah fan he's not just somebody that's just going to be check and release throw the ball to Hitch routes your classic Jason wit he can actually work down the field and there's a little bit more explosiveness to his game coming out of college he was a athletic freak he was supposed to be somebody that was going to be a top 10 fantasy tight end at times it has not worked out yet but 1.5 yards per route is still pretty solid for somebody that's been in a committee if we get him out of the committee I want to see the best of Noah Fant working down the field and Ryan grub is basically the perfect offensive coordinator uh to kind of see what happens with Noah fans skill set down the field yeah and I I do believe from getting out of a committee of receiving options we we have done that in in this case they did bring in Pharaoh brown but what we have seen of phoh brown he's a blocker you know and that's important we have role separation here if it was an offense that had you know one primary pass catcher or two I would feel even better about this but let's phrase that in the context of he's going as tight end 22 179 overall right now Noah Fant so this can be your second tight end or your third tight end on Underdog or out there in your home leagues uh just someone to keep in mind as a waiver wire pickup at the start of the Season yeah this is one of those offenses and we're going to definitely talk about it during the quarterback sleeper show where it can be tough to know exactly what we're getting because it's a totally new play caller from an NFL standpoint however when you go back and look at the college football standpoint few offenses were more fun to watch on a weekly basis than the Washington hus it was quick quick deep guess what we have someone who can run down the field uh is super athletic and maybe we haven't seen that as much as we wanted to but man second contract second team this is the time where some tight ends break out we don't have to have immediately with these guys don't let Trey McBride and Sam Lea for you sometimes it takes this long and uh if that's the case I think a lot of fantasy football Talking Heads are going to be right about Noah fan at this moment yeah I'm sure producer weaves is throwing the the film up of Noah Fage go go watch it like he just he just hits a little bit harder watching him once he once he gets out in space and that's kind of upside I'm looking for when we're talking about getting into the 20s in tight end rankings okay I'll go next and it's kind of a tandem but more so I'm going to focus in on one name it's the Packers tight end Duo uh Luke Musgrave right now Josh's 2nd Player going as tight end 17 one50 overall and then Tucker craft tight in 32 214 overall I do believe that this gap between the two players would be much closer if Tucker craft wasn't dealing with this PEC injury that he had his surgery on it completely tore off the bone and the floor has mentioned that oh we expect him for training camp if not the early parts of training camp we've also seen that team take it really slow when players are coming back from injuries and I've also read from some Twitter doctors where they're saying that that's a five to six month injury to come back from so if that's the case look Luke Musgrave looks like he's a you know 14-year-old going through puberty at this moment a little bit where he's getting used to his body and it's all gangly and he doesn't know how to totally control it but I'm still optimistic obviously they were mental mistakes spacing across the whole team in the opening uh half of the season but he fits what I look at as an athletic downfield Difference Maker at the the the tight in position totally understand that they have four legit wide receivers and it's a crowded pass catching room but I just want to chase talent and like third and 11 wins his route against Derwin James he just has the upside at the position that I think is uncommon that if it hits and it works out in an offense that we really believe in uh we could get some really really nice weeks out of tight end 17 and yards per route as a rookie that is exactly the kind of peripheral stat that we're looking for and floor to me is just so good at manufacturing these touches and a lot of the touches aren't like we're running a Jet Sweep good luck it's like oh we're like running a concept where if it's open he's open 25 yards downfield and Luke Musgrave was not on the same page with the play design early in the season and then there was three different instances of him winning on a seam route on a Crossing route on a leak route where those turned into long touchdowns including one in the playoff against the Cowboys and I think he's a earning a little bit more trust and Tucker craft I think that he's a serviceable tight end too he's more of the check and release can block maybe he's a little bit better of a blocker than Luke mus really good blocker but he's definitely out in the flats and kind of taking the checkdown not somebody that you're like excited about designing a play for and I think that Luke Musgrave is in that category it's going to be really hard to be a consistent player in this offense just because there are so many options and I do think the Packers might run the ball a decent clip as they do more Duo stuff like we saw with the Rams but in terms of like a random Spike week because he caught a 45 yard touchdown Luke Musgrave I do think is going to have a couple of those opportunities and it's really hard to find guys that can work down the field and has the ability to be like a true gamebreaker type of talent just because he is an athlete if he can kind of just grow into his body heading into year two his Gallop pops off the screen he choose upgr he also has tremendous length on top of it and I don't want to be you know negative about the talents of Tucker craft the blocking is honestly exceptional he had one-on-one blocking wins against Nell Hunter another one on the backside against the Bengals pancakes against the Chargers even got Montes sweat one-on-one and I do believe he's athletic as well but uh the peck injury is on my radar and if it does come down to just one tight end for like the opening four five six games of the Season uh with all the cool stuff that laflora can draw up Musgrave is definitely an asset I believe okay I mean if he gets if he gets the first month the season by himself there's a chance I don't care if Tucker Craft's injured or or healthy or whatever that Luke musk just runs away with the job okay before we go any further obviously hit that subscribe button thumbs up not only we have sleepers week going on right now with running back and wide receiver shows already in the bank so much more content ahead the rest of July and definitely get to August and September with these preseason games training camp and where the buzz really kicks in so be sure to lock into the channel and go play on unog fantasy if you're in one of these yellow States I'm talking to you in Texas in Michigan in North Carolina in all these beautiful yellow States play Underdog fantasy right now start this weekend two more names let's make them good Hayden all right let's go all the way down the board we're getting to the undrafted territory a lot of time are kobby Hayden's 3rd Player Parkinson we are on the Rams and they gave him a big big contract here two years $15 million in Practical guarantees I'm sure a lot of people don't even know who Parkinson is he was a guy with the long hair he stands about 67 251 on the Seahawks he was the reason why Noah Fant wasn't a full-time player but on the Seahawks they kind of used him in some interesting ways uh 46% of his snaps were in the slot or out wide like Noah fan they would actually design some stuff down the field and that's exactly what he was doing at Stanford he had a 20% uh receiving share as a junior at Stanford and a lot of those targets were down the field he's one of these guys that it takes a little bit of a build speed but once he gets these big legs going he can legitimately run away from guys and also he's 6' seven so there are some times at the Seahawks where in the red zone it was just like go just dunk on that guy give him the two small hand and call it a day um and I think the key part with Kobe Parkinson is the Rams don't like to bring guys in and off the field once the drive starts he wants to be in 90 90% and 11 personnel and he wants the same guys on the the field all the time because he doesn't want to have tells when it comes to the play design you see this with Tyler Higg four straight Seasons where he played like 890 snaps or more that is a ton of snaps if kobby Parkinson is in that Tyler higgy role that's pretty exciting kobby Parkinson like hasn't been crazy efficient uh per snap only 1.2 yards per route run but Matthew Stafford has been super good these last couple seasons and I think that kobby Parkinson's downfield ability uh is definitely going to be um utilized when it comes to Matthew Stafford especially some of these post routes and some of those things so I just think that there's a little bit more kind of the same arguments with Noah Fant just winning down the field on a good offense tight in 30 to2 right now so not even being drafted out there in every single time over on Underdog I saw the exact same thing get him on the move he can run at multiple levels which I think is very different than what Tyler Higby brought to the table I also remember going through your charts on a weekly basis stats versus film that Tyler Higg is one of the unluckiest players in terms of Red Zone and inside the 10 yard line stuff yeah uh in terms of converting those yeah into touchdowns okay what if Kobe Parkinson is just better your note yeah loved your note about how this team last year lived out of 11 personnel 95% of the time so that means one dude stays in the field uh if Kobe Parkinson did not exist I would be in on Davis Allen who came in on this weird Cameo against the Baltimore Ravens and was outstanding in that game and the other point with that Hayden all these rumors and Buzz how much the Rams were trying to go up and get Brock Bowers during the NFL draft right so to me that says hey we want to incorporate this position more often and in more of a variety of different ways now technically could Brock Bowers be like the long-term replacement for Cooper Cup in certain situations sure but it's not and he would have played tight end this season and if that's the case I think that sha McVey might have some big big plans here for Kobe Parkinson that's for sure I mean Brock Bowers are not $15 million in Practical guarantees for a player that I would guess a lot of people that subscribe to the show have no clue about is a sign that he's gonna be on the field people think that point was me being more bullish on Kobe Parkinson because of trying to go out and get a Top Flight player at this position yep yeah we talked about Demarcus Robinson but there's a chance Kobe Parkinson is could kind of be that third fourth Target in the offense if Demarcus Robinson isn't ready for it so uh just I'm really excited about the Rams offense like down the stretch this this team was not just like kind of fun like this team was up there as like one of the best offenses in the league and their offensive line got better puku is probably going to uh be a little bit more familiar with the offense Cooper cup will be healthier like there's a chance of this Rams team we end the season we're like damn this was the same type a team that won the Super Bowl not too long ago okay we've talked about my top three exposures to Titan Hunter Henry again 63% Noah Fant at 42% I have Josh's 3rd Player Hayden and uh Kobe Parkinson at 21% so let's go super deep for the people okay maybe deeper than any player we've talked about so far this off season Tommy Trimble Tommy Trimble tied end 48 216 overall okay wow the reason being is Tommy Trimble is going to be the starting tight end on this Panthers team and I believe everyone out there has concluded that's either going to be Ian Thomas or jatavian Sanders who was what the first pick of the fourth round yikes the Panthers do not want a 270 pound merer at the Titan position they want Nimble they want them to slide block across the formation they run a lot of play actions because of that they get that player out in the flats and or down the seam as we saw with Kate utton this past season and those are two Dynamics where I think Tommy Trimble can shine he's really fun after the catch give his stuff and I'm sure weed is throwing on the screen right now give his stuff a watch from last season I Al be it's only like 32 catches he had but this is one of those players who was super athletic coming out of Notre Dame has landed in a not so good situation in a somewhat loaded let's just say average tight end room and to me could be one of these players at the end of his rookie season or rookie contract and then when he gets to a second team or a second contract makes leaps forward and makes some plays and simply put Hayden he's going to be playing way more than a lot of the dudes that are drafted ahead of him right now so in your home leagues am I advocating for you to draft Tommy Trimble absolutely not but if you are searching for a tight end three out there I believe if we get some ADP value in any of these tight ends as training camp hits Tommy Trimble might be the one that climbs the most amongst this position in the August month if you drafted Bryce young I think that Tommy tremble is is out there I think that Weekly winners Tommy tremble is an option if you're in a two tight end League I think Tom Tommy tremble is out there going back I liked him as a prospect because some of his blocking snaps was was some of the most outrageous blocking in like feistiness that you'll see in a prospect which was interesting because he was actually undersized if you like look at his uh spider chart on mock draftable everything when it comes to the size is like 10th percentile but his athletic ability was in the 80s and 90th percentiles and I am with you like once they started designing things for him you can kind of see some of the Yards after the catch appeal and his athletic traits shine they have not been able to do that enough with him he's always been in the committee so hopefully uh in year four he's ready for for more volume out there and I I didn't think that gavian Sanders was very good he's more of like a Swiss army knife HB type to me that's what Sanders brings to the table I think he got overhyped a little bit during the draft Yeah and then Ian Thomas I understand that there's some like allseason hype pieces around Ian Thomas right now one he's the blocking type and two I think people like beat Riders were shocked that he was actually catching passes because he's dropped so many in previous yeah exactly exactly yeah now Tommy trumple we're talking about a career seven yards per route run totally but hopefully canala sees a little something more in him and kind kind of get out in motion and in the screen game on occasion hopefully just plays plays more snaps we need the Panthers to be in the Red Zone more often for for this to payoff so it's not like that Tommy tremble has been in like the best offenses in the league it hasn't done anything um we're we're relying on Dave Canal to see something out of him and I I don't think that jatavian Sanders ever going to be really relevant to us I don't think he was athletic enough and he was kind of a gadget guy and uh I think Tommy Trumble offers a little bit more upside now we we're scrolling pretty down down the board here we're talking like tight end 48 on Underdog here so this will be a I mean this will be a generational call if he's even the tight end 18 m point game this is an all-timer from you so I salute you for being bold on this one I thought Kobe Parkinson was bold and you basically went twice as far down the scrolling list okay well let's give some honorable mentions because we're doing that for BONUS FANTASY SLEEPERS every single other position I went to someone who has caught even fewer passes than Tommy Trimble in his NFL career Josh Wy of the Tennessee Titans is somewhat intriguing uh there's also this what are the New York Giants going to do to replace Darren Waller I would lean towards when reading Jordan ran is Daniel Bellinger over Theo Johnson at this moment I don't know if you have a read or any other names you want to bring out there too I I'm not going to get carried away with the Giants tight ends um the the name that I I like in draft a lot is Tyler Conlin he's the tight end 21 so a little bit earlier than the guys that we just talked about but Aaron Rogers there's always a random guy that scores seven eight nine 10 touchdowns in a season sometimes that is the tight end Tyler Conlin I think is like a serviceable NFL starter and there's not much competition for for his snaps out there if Mike Williams has a setback if Maly Corley uh can't do anything coming from a smaller school with an ad do of 3.8 uh I think that Tyler Conlan is somebody that can be uh pretty fantasy relevant when it comes to random touchdowns yeah and I also don't want to end this 30 minute show without mentioning a guy in the Miami Dolphins offense uh Janu Smith as tight end 25 uh 189 overall right now he's coming off with career highs of 50 receptions and 582 yards did you realize that I mean career highs and we're getting to draft him much later than basically we have before in an offense that is super fun and understands how to utilize motion and misdirection and get athletes up to top speed so I'm very very very intrigued by what John Smith brings to the table my last name Jawan Johnson with the Saints he had foot surgery that's always scary but now he's going undrafted on Underdog in week 17 it's all that matters he was a tight end one and he had 12 targets that game the Saints with a new uh offensive coordinator maybe they become a little bit more pass heavy over there and I think Jaan Johnson converted wide receiver he just has a little bit more receiving upside than like the type of guys generally in his range he's like dropped 60 spots in ADP Adam shefer said like they're hopeful and they think that he's gonna be ready for week one so if he misses July I I'm not getting fantasy points in July might miss August too and that that to me I don't get fantasy points in August either I to totally we still have the tast some Hill Factor let's not forget that but if Jan Johnson was totally healthy he definitely would have been in this top six or both of us because we were excited last year I know Nick Underhill was excited for him last year and then it just didn't work until basically well week 17 and then it did and then it did it's a new wave of the tight end position we're having to draft them earlier this year than we did last year especially the young guys but I do feel that still Dr Franken signing the position might have some value this offseason and again I think six or eight of these names that we talked about today can be at least two of them might hit this year there are more upside Elite tight ends if you want to stretch that definition but there's not a guaranteed truly Elite tight end so maybe the the the bar to clear to kind of match with those guys instead of you needing 25 points maybe you only need 18 points and I think some of these guys uh can do that also draft David and joku man he's kind of in between Elites in this category yeah read off those numbers I mean he's he's sitting there in the kind of dead zone of the drafts and man I I want to draft a ton of him yeah Titan 11 102 overall for David and joku in fact again our barrier for this was start of round 10 120 plus uh the top 12 Titans are going just before that and then it's everyone else after okay that does it again subscribe leave a thumbs up leave your comments down below if we didn't hit on a name that you believe is going to be the tight and sleep smash of the season and why it's going to be Tommy trple okay for Hayden it's the worst ADP on Underdog right now Tommy triple is and the show CH producer we talk to you all soon [Music]
