uh okay so maybe one way to do that is to uh hold your breath bet on the Arizona Cardinals question mark this year so last year I get what you're saying uh they finished the year four and 13 they were not a good team but Kyler Murray was hurt for most of the year and in fact he has had trouble staying on the field for each of the last two seasons but this year he looks healthy uh he's got himself a true number one receiver in Marvin Harrison Jr that they drafted out of the Ohio State University and I do think there are some things to like about the Cardinals am I somebody who wants to trust them as a whole probably not but I do think you know there are some enticing bets here for me looking at uh Kyler Murray's passing yards is passing touchdowns or you could go the route of Marvin Harrison Jr because now that Z Jones is gonna be suspended for a few games I think this clears the pathway for Marvin Harrison Jr and more targets going his way so his receiving yardage said at 1,50 and a half you could do touchdowns for him it's five and a half or you could do Marvin Harrison Jr to win offensive Rookie of the Year at plus 750 so Kate let's start with this do you think that is more I don't know more tempting and more appetizing to bet on Kyler Murray or Marvin Harrison Jr or do you go the full team route and bet on a team that maybe is underrated in the Cardinals I think there's a case to be made that the Cardinals are a little underrated this year winning four games last year most of the Season without Kyler Murray if he's able to stay on the field this year I think there's an a shot they can get over their win total of six and a half it's not something I'd be willing to bet on though which in that case makes me want to turn my attention to Kyler Murray props I like those a lot better than I do um to bet on anything for the Cardinal to win the division that's not happening I mean they're with the 49ers not yeah clearly not happening I don't believe they're a team that's going to make the playoffs um I don't believe they're a clearly a Super Bowl winning team if I'm not even betting on them to Wi make the playoffs so then you you go to Kyler Murray I like his touchdowns over 20 and a half you look at his last two seasons I mean last season he played eight games and and threw 10 touchdowns season before that only 11 games and threw 14 so he's hit the 20 plus Mark in his first three years um I think that certainly a possibility a very good possibility he gets over that 20 and a half mark again this year especially if Marvin Harrison Jr turns out to be the receiver that he is advertised to be I mean he he's arguably one of the best receiving prospects we've seen in the NFL in a long long time and I mean if he's even half as good as he's supposed to be I think that those two are going to connect quite a bit this year so I like the touchdowns prop but I wouldn't argue against anyone taking Kyler Murray's passing yards over or Marvin Harrison Jr's receiving yards over as well yeah I think this is the way to bet on the Cardinals I think instead of trusting the team as a whole you go with these two guys I think Kyler Murray let's start there you mentioned his passing touchdown prop and here is the St contrast that we've seen with Kyler Murray when he has a number one receiver and when he doesn't because in 2021 let's rewind the tapes Kyler Murray was actually the favorite to win MVP at one point in the season and when Deandre Hopkins was on the field Kyler Murray was converting in the red zone for Touchdown 63% of the time with dehop on the field dehop down there somewhere uh but when DeAndre Hopkins got hurt he was converting on touchdowns only 37% of the time so that's the Stark difference that a number one receiver makes in the end zone and the early Returns on Marvin Harrison Jr are certainly there somebody who is physical somebody who is smart and somebody who has shown that he can outman outman even NFL quarterbacks we've seen it in some of these uh joint practices which again it's not a regular season game but still I think the guy is a can't miss Prospect uh so I think you either go touchdowns or you go with the yardage for Kyler Murray because here's the thing if you look at the number posted this year uh it's sitting at 3450 and a half it is they pick him each way I think you go with the over here and hoping that Kyler Murray can stay healthy because he's G gone over this number in every single season in which he has stayed healthy I do think we see more of a passing attack here because why would you not when you draft somebody uh that's a receiver this early in the draft why would you not use them I feel like this is a no-brainer for me so Kyler Murray I have some faith in him maybe not in the Cardinals as a full team because here's the other thing the Cardinals in the seasons which they have been really good have stirred off really hot I don't think that's going to be the case this year because look at the schedule they start off with the bills on the road then they host the Rams which are not an easy team to contend against in your division then they have the Lions the commanders the ners and the Packers both on the road that is a very tough way to start the year yeah um there's a bet out there for the uh Cardinals to start 0 and five you can get that at 8 to one and I think that's worth worth a little sprinkle here the Cardinals I believe are favored against Washington um Cardinals have them at home but hey if uh Jaden Daniels is kind of rolling at that point in the season like that's not going to be necessarily an easy win so you're talking um eight to one for them to start 0 and five I don't hate that at all because that is such a tough schedule going on the road early I know the the three home games in a row the Rams lions and Commander like that's a nice little spot for the Cardinals to be at home throughout that whole time but those are still some tough opponents the Rams obviously in the division that's never easy I don't see them beating the Lions uh right the Lions I mean have extremely high expectations Super Bowl expectations this year so the only one that I think that they could win would be week four against the commanders but then you're talking like what that's um basically plus 800 on the Commander's money line is what you're taking there so I think that's actually a pretty good bet yeah simply for the hedging opportunities even though I will caution this in the NFL it's really hard to look down a schedule and just count wins because it's the ultimate league of parody like somebody's going to beat somebody that's not supposed to beat somebody uh but I did tease this so I do want to get to it how about the case for Kyler Murray to win MVP the odds are extremely long he is 50 to1 but like I said he has yet had years in which he's been in the MVP conversation back when DeAndre Hopkins was on the team back when Kyler Murray was healthy and even last year he finished off the season on absolute high note over the last four games uh returning from ACL surgery his offense was averaging over 400 yards per game but Kate we talked about this do the Cardinals have to be a good team in order for Kyler Murray to win MVP yes they absolutely do and I'm not sure they're going to win enough games and butting K Murray like 51 is a great price right now if we think they're going to struggle early on in the year I think you almost wait to bet Kyler Murray because their season get significantly easier over the second half like it opens up a lot and they're going to win a lot of games over that second half of the Season or at least a lot probably wasn't the right word there verbiage but they're going to win in the second half so wait until week after week three and you're probably going to get Kyler Murray more like 70 80 to one which is an even better price if you want to take him then
