the ground game and how about that play by that giant that mountain of a man on the defensive front got stuffed on first down it's second and 10 looking for a man it's moris they're bringing and smack just as he released the pass it's incomplete this defense felt coming into the game that if he was going to try to throw from the pocket they could get to him and affect his accuracy they did on that last play now on Third and 10 if they can move the chain here maybe they can get this drive started all there we go fires the pass intercepted and he's wrapped up after a solid return on the pick that's kind of a double wanner for this offense because on their opening drive not only did they turn it over with the interception but they've Now set their defense up in a really tough spot deep in their own end wasting no time throwing on this drive fires to the wide oh [ __ ] what a snag by the defense all right we trading picks got and on after a good return on the interception really early in this game you're seeing the ball Hawks on both sides of the ball interception on the first drive of the game and now they come out and this defense gets a pick in return there are a lot of dudes in the back end with speed with the ability to close what a phenomenal play by that young man just now to get the ball back to his offense right on target with that last pass now it's second and medium he's looking to throw oh he would have got that it might have been over he he had OPP just that thing a lot of times guys are catching it and as they're catching you see their head start to turn to try to think about getting up they just lose that concentration second little missed opportunity there for pi up the first and gets down to avoid contact I mean these quarterbacks nowadays can run so fast think about who you've got chasing him defensive lineman those big old defensive tackles defensive ends linebackers they can't catch him because they're faster than them nowadays so much speed so much electricity now with these guys boy did he look as if he was going to go oh gets it down to the 37 tell you what that's great execution between the QB and receiver they look like they could execute that throw in their sleep quarterback took his steps threw it on time great route by the receiver nice job securing the catch not a whole lot of room there three yards maybe second and seven stuck with a running game on first down now here they come again that motion quarterback trying to get a read throws to the wide out what that sh running and hean away from the and he'll and just a really nice throw really good touch towards the sideline on that corner route and the receiver does a nice job catching the football and immediately getting up the field getting in the end zone for the big touchdown and Point makes it seven nothing so that scoring Drive took only six plays and the final 34 yds covered by that touchdown pass he'll bring it out it's Gilliam not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 here comes the Fresno State offense onto the field let's see if this drive goes better than the last one they were in and out quickly after the quick pick David yeah big mistake man now let's get this offense in a little bit of a rhythm maybe before you open it up again Palmer or do you trust him right away uh he seems to me like the guy maybe that just needs to kind of get into the flow of the game so maybe you get the running game going here just give him some EAS easy looks to let him get led up dances away b a little time lets it go they make the stop but the sweet throwing catches plenty to give him a first down this guy just is so comfortable running routes and he has such a good feel for those soft spots on defense there they're playing Zone coverage so he's able to find that pocket make it easy on his quarterback and they pick up the first down really nice stop there from this senior leader and the running back didn't get much there nice job by the defense you can tell they're focused in on this running back on this run game being physical getting knock backs and limiting his carries looking for a man it's ke just gets rid of it to the running back underneath they make the stop not a whole lot of ground pick up there and they'll have work to do to get the first down a third down play to get the quarter started from the gun wants to pass damn it oh what's up with theid what's up with the the B [Applause] br going be and the coverage team gets the return on the ground North Texas takes possession the mean green offense will return to the field how about that last drive just carved him up in the air David yeah and how about that quarterback you gave him the ball and he delivered the goods great job taking apart the defense Jesse on that last dri he really did David I mean that was a master class in just reading coverage and being out wants to fire on second down got it in the middle it's Ward excellent job working through the air there finding a hole in that defense and picking up a first down and there was no question in that scenario that's where the quarterback was going he knew he had his receiver in a matchup that he liked running a route where he nice job between those two his way for three out to the 33 you know it's so important for offenses to want to keep third Downs manageable the way you do that is by having success like that running the football on first down and now on second down for this offense they're trying to get to it what the makes the catch and steps out of bounds but of the first down Mar well we knew coming into this game this offense and it looks as if they that look like a catch and they take another look at the play but the officials on the field were right and the play will stand now staring at a third and short from the 40 gets it out fast oh he's so hard to get on the ground he's got room he found plenty of room and he gets it to the 39 yd Line North Texas has it going to work with another first down he's looking to throw it taking the shot and they won't be able to connect down field looking for a big time play you hear about shot plays all the time offensive coordinators love to take deep shots down the field they plan them they plan when they're going to do them and I bet you we'll plan to see a few more throughout this game fires to the tight end and that is good versatility there and a big hit from the backer in pass coverage play number seven on this drive and it'll be third and two looking to throw for it he's right on target he out of after that they want to just keep throwing it hit hard just as he released it on first down and just couldn't get it to the receiver now on second down looking to pass it's Morris unloads to the wide out got him down field defense is there to make the stop but he's got the first down and they'll have it first and goal with the six this defense has got to be better in coverage you want to get off the field you got to keep defending you got to do something to make the offense feel uncomfortable so far way too easy for this offense scrambling away and the quarterback goes down at the 11 yd line just like to see the quarterback have a clock his head forcing him to get rid of that football can't take a sack on first down in gold too situation and move your offense backwards what the and he Wes in for the score touchdown M [Applause] green these guys just score from anywhere out there after that drive sure looks that way and that's what SE really good offenses from great offenses when you're backed up in a bad position and you can still fight your way out and they'll get you a touchdown that's a great drive by the offense and the extra point pushes the lead to 14 they put it in the end zone with a 12 Play scoring drive and it was punctuated by an 11 yd Run for the score so they got the touchdown and as they kickoff really important for the defense to shut them down here and he takes this from inside the five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 Fresno State takes over and the offense will go back to work so late in the half this is really an opportunity David maybe to swing the momentum in there lost one deep down the right side and it was worth the gamble with the long pass is incomplete Fresno State right back to the line [Applause] back to throw it's ke now he's going to break the pocket what the hell off oh he broke the down after a good return on the interception and the senior just the and sends it the other way so guys we'll see this offense again going up top on first down sof spot in the middle The Tackle is made but he's got it first and goal from the six I love that play calling quarterbacks are always licking their chops after their defense gets a takeaway because they know now hey I got a sudden change situation I've got a chance to take a shot and Pad my stats running out of time here in the first half they're going to have to be efficient to put some points on the board before the break they'll run it on first and goal he bullies his way all the way down to the 5 yd line that's the end of yeah I was hoping you didn't or else the score would have been 21 zip ready to go here in the second the breaks I could get get the ball back dumb [ __ ] he'll bring it out it's really disciplined J by the coverage to make theop at the [Music] 19 here comes the Fresno State offense onto the field trailing by a couple of scores they'd like to generate some confidence here early in the third quarter down two possessions the coaching staff met in at halftime and they've probably scripted this opening drive just like they do at the start of the game they've now got an idea plays they feel most confident in what plays their quarterback is seeing the best to go out here and execute a scoring well and it's nice to get the ball first like I got the first opportunity to close the gap a little bit apply some gain pressure to these guys so I think getting the ball driv down scoring right here that's what I'm talk about let's get comfortable how about the offense setting that play up we've seen earlier in the game a couple shorter throws they just trying to suck those safeties close to the line of scrimmage anticipating that they would get an opportunity to take a shot shot they called the perfect play at the perfect time right there and a nice solid pick up there before the defense wrestles him to the ground kept it on the ground on first down see if they stick with that plan on second to the air it's Keem gets it out quickly they get him on the ground but it's a first down and this junior quarterback shows you why the scouts love that big arm of his here's an opportunity for this offense in mer of its first touchdown it's first and [Applause] 10 and the defense finally makes the stop after the sweet run and good gain you're down obviously at the half you had a conversation we got to come out and put points on the board and Jesse it looks like they're going to start with the ground game and I love this David too regardless of whether they're losing or they're winning come out here and try to be the most phical here in the second half get this nice job by the def stin getting him on the ground as soon as he catches the ball knowing he's a threat I'm not going to let this guy get out of my sights nice job by the he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple awesome job up front by this defensive line being so good at the point of attack and eating blocks eating some double teams that allows these linebackers to run free unencumbered and get to the football trying to make magic with his feet it nice run out of they protect so well nowadays but when he's aall carer game and what a great job bringing the wood a famous rer once said most men lead lives of quiet desperation here is a desperate here we go big man give it to the Big Man by double figures they make the tackle but he's got a fresh set of downs and it's first and goal from the seven on the doorstep of cashing it in for the offense turning to the running game on first and goal and a good solid pick up there before the defense knocks him down well you're down here in the Red Zone you know You' got to be able to run the football so good call going with the toss play nice blocking up front keep Patience by the back finding his they've been running it but now the pass looking to the end [Applause] zone here we go what a nice start for this getting the touchdown pass this quarterback getting a little bit of confidence this passing game getting in a rhythm nice start for this offense Pat unit on the field and the P will draw them one point closer so it's an 80 yd Drive they close that drive going to the air for the final few inches lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drive here he comes from inside his own St brought down first down here for the offense run the gun the running back has it [ __ ] that's a kind of play that can really get you going as they have a first down at the [Applause] [Music] 43 14no state here's this offense with a fresh set of [Applause] downs to the air it's Morris zings it complete to the right and the defense had that one well cover just a short game there running backs are not just running backs anymore you're going to be a wide receiver in today's football and a great job sneaking out of the back field getting him the football letting them get some positive middle quick strike complete nothing but green ahead and it in I want more like this just versatility you can see he can catch it out of the back field like a wide receiver or he can run it nice job catching the football with his hands using his speed to do the rest and get into the end zone about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown on the run from inside his zone five just never had a be that that Gap was was looking like it could have let to something he be slow down he's to feeling some heat at the 35 he's got room get him down 40 line they'll mark it at the 39 a pick up of 15 first down here with time for maybe one more play until the two-minute warning the run from the shotgun that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there let's see what they've got on second down he's looking to throw using legs to like this finally out ofs but he rolling with a first defensively the clock late in the game when you're winning it's your friend you got to find a way to keep that thing ticking when you rush the pass keep that quarterback in the pocket make him beat you from in there you're dropping back in coverage you got more DBS on the field keep going keep going throw the footall get him on the ground let that clock tick well it's a great job by the receiver fighting back across the DB there to get to the inside locate the ball and catch the sling got his man down the middle just get the feeling this defense is going to make it C on them right they've got the lead it's late they're going to try to tackle everybody in bounds offense is going to have to really work for this and be smart you got to attack the sidelines you got to throw first downs you got to keep this thing moving vertic he misses his man the accuracy just not what it needed to be that play Third well that incompletion the quarterback and receiver just not on the same page I mean that wasn't even close the aerial assault continues he's moving out of the pocket he'll pull it down out ofs but not before picking up enough for the first down defensively I think you have different strategies for these situations the clock is your friend right you want that thing to tick you're up in the fourth quarter but you don't want to sit back and prevent CU you've heard the saying you really really just prevent yourself from winning got rid of it in a hurry but he couldn't find his man it's incomplete hopefully that's not going to affect the quarterback's confidence going back to this guy later that was a catch he should have made he dropped it let's see what the QB does moving [Applause] forward pocket starts to collapse oh and his third pick of the day his head has to be spinning bringing it back he's inside the 40 and he showed off the wheels aftering the hands you got the lead now just go out there beart on and R that clock you on Twitch you thei fir this we'll see if they just try to run out the get out with Victory everybody on offense here should feel really and he'll take it all the way they couldn't bring him down touchdown me [Applause] bre that score looks as if this one might have put it a little too far out of reach yeah this game's pretty much over that was just the icing on the cake but you know speaking of cake I'm I'm kind of hungry can we can we get out of here can we finish this game so I can give it something to eat on to attempt the try and the extra points the upright and they're up a full three touchdowns a 21 Point cushion in the four they lining up to boot it away and here's the [Applause] return really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there make the stop at the 19 here comes the Fresno State offense onto the field at this point it really hasn't been your best day just try to find something to build on here at the end David just try to keep fighting show your kids you're going to keep fighting keep throw the football try to get some points up Palmer points have been at a premium they haven't scored very much but keep fighting man yeah and just you know try to find things to build off of for next week as well right I mean it's all about continuing to improve week in and week out so whether that's identifying Playmakers or just seeing what you can come up with here at the end of this game and not quitting and he'll run across the sidelines after the good game they'll line up for a second down play dropping back it's Keem he's going up top here late in the game and they wanted at all on that incomplete pass instead they're looking at third down and this is just one of those days man where everything has gone wrong right like they just haven't been in a rhythm they haven't they haven't got it going and never built the moment's going for a big down that's crazy what's what's the point of green just going to underthrow a [ __ ] the return and they capitalized on the pick but on the great return to improve this field position this is a beautiful situation for the defense when you're up by two plus scores and you're in this situation you know exactly what is coming it's going to be a pass they have to because the clock is their enemy great playing inter the um I follow you I do content too my name's my app too so I'll be on YouTube with it played re there were moments in this game there were plays to be had and plays to be made at the end of the day they just did not execute well enough in any of the three phases on any side of the football so David moving forward a lot to take away from this game as they try to a lot to take away and a lot to learn from I mean losses definitely hurt they sting but a lot of times most teams refocus and they get a sense they got a thatum watch the tape watch what you need to improve on and
