D Up! Week 2 Fantasy Football Defense Rankings (Top 12)

we're coming into week two with hopefully a much better understanding of how these fantasy defenses are going to come out because I was really dissatisfied with a lot of my week one Fantasy Defense picks obviously coming off a crazy week now we're looking ahead to week two by going through the top 12 defenses in week 2 fantasy football so please go down there and drop a like on this video And subscribe to the channel to show your support So this first tier right here I've got the Chargers against the Carolina Panthers at number one now this overun is at 39.5 and the Chargers are opening up as favorites of course against the Panthers and man the Panthers just look really bad def like offensively they just do not look improved they obviously got boat raised last week by a divisional opponent which is never a good sign when they're getting crushed by a divisional opponent what I will say is that divisional opponents often times are a little bit unpredictable but what we can predict is that the Los Angeles Chargers will get sacks in this game they had four sacks against the Las Vegas Raiders last week they ended up getting a pick as well and they got two fumble recoveries in that match up against the Raiders and the Saints had a literal very similar stat line against the Carolina Panthers last week so just based on this offense and how they look I just really do not see much advancement from last year from where they were with Bryce young to right now and exactly how they looked at week one and the Chargers defense looked really good as I predicted they would with Jim Hara at the helm now now number two I've got the Ravens defense making a massive rebound against the Las Vegas Raiders so the Chargers obvious ly did what they did last week against the Los Ang Las Vegas Raiders we just went through what they did and the Ravens are opening up as big time favorites in this match up I think the Ravens come in really pissed off and show them how good they are in real football because the reality with the Ravens last week when you're playing the Chiefs you're going to come up small that's because the Chiefs are the best team in the league but the Ravens defense is going to come in really really ready to go for this matchup 41.5 over under according to Vegas Insider this week so the Ravens I think they're just going to come away with a lot of sacks possibly a lot of turnovers in this game Ravens defense is going to be just fine and they make a massive rebound this week against the Las Vegas Raiders offense now dropping out to our next tier right here I've got the 49ers at the Minnesota Vikings I guess you could say this is kind of my big prediction of the week cuz there's a 45.5 over under and the 49ers are favorites in this game but the Vikings offense looked pretty good last week now it is of course worth noting they played the New York Giants so it's not like they were playing some Powerhouse team that we just had no idea what was coming the Minnesota Vikings did well last week against a pretty decent defense I would say with the New York Giants the 49ers are different though they have two things on their side number one obviously the 49ers defense looked amazing against the Jets last night they boat raced the Jets and not just boat raced them on offense their defense was so physical in that match up versus the New York Jets last night they didn't make a lot of great plays like as far as sacks goes as far as like turnover overs go but they were just extremely physical against an offense with Aaron Rogers that doesn't usually throw picks this week it's different not only are they playing Sam darnold but the other leg up they have in this game is they had Sam darnold last year they know his Tendencies they know his strengths and they know his weaknesses so I am willing to bet in this matchup particularly San Francisco knows exactly how to game plan for a guy like Sam darnold this week so for me I think that the 49ers are going to be a smash defensive play this week you can have a lot of confidence in this match match up now the Seahawks defense is at number four at the New England Patriots this week and listen I repented last night on what I got right and what I got wrong live stream you see me go into massive depth about how I got this one wrong because I like to take accountability obviously I was wrong on the Seahawks defense last week they were always going to be inside of the top 10 this particular week because of the Patriots matchup it's a 38 point over under and the Seahawks are opening up as three-point favorites against New England Patriots in New England now what I will say is with the Patriots last week I don't think that you can look at them as some Revelation they were playing the Bengals and I've said this over and over again obviously it got the Bengals defense really wrong too but the Bengals start out slow every single year so I don't really take this New England team as like some Revelation that we didn't see coming I think they're still going to be bad and I think that the Seahawks defense just looked a lot better than I thought they would right away so coming into this game I think they could definitely get a lot of sacks in this game this this Patriots offensive line is terrible and I also think that they can force some turnovers too so I think they could look very similar to how they looked last week except hold the Patriots to probably even viewer points in this matchup now the Steelers defense is at number five here at the Denver Broncos this is a 36.5 over under it is the lowest of the entire week this game is not going to be points friendly and the Steelers defense last week ripped apart the Atlanta Falcons really led by TJ watt he's a oneman wrecking crew as we all know he is just an outrageous player and it led the team to getting three turnovers two interceptions one fumble recovery this was a ridiculous week for the Pittsburgh Steelers and listen with the Denver Broncos what I thought we were going to see last week was not very many turnovers because Shawn Peyton's a good offensive coach well they ended up turning the ball over a couple times to the Seattle Seahawks I think we could be very look looking at a similar week but I will say I don't have the Steelers hire because the Steelers historically do not travel well to the West West Coast that is a historical fact they are not particularly good against West Coast teams when they're on the west coast so that's the only reason they're lower but they're still going to be a good defensive play this week at number five now dropping down to our next tier right here I've got the Jets at the Tennessee Titans in this matchup and this is a 41.5 over under now the Jets are going to come in pissed off they're going to come in really mad really ready to go firing on all cylinders against a def against an offense that man will Levis I think has he has something in him obviously he made really good throws few and far between though there was a lot of mistakes and he still just does not look very polished so the Jets defense is going to take advantage of that the problem the Jets experienced in week one was they were in San Francisco in Prime Time against a team that was really angry they lost the Super Bowl so the Jets defense they're going to be fine this is a lower over under week anyways so the Jets are already favored in this matchup and I think their defense rebounds to have a good week in fantasy football this week now the Cowboys defense is at number seven here taking on the New Orleans Saints at home now this one's this over under is actually 45.5 according to Vegas Insider so it's not exactly a low over under but the Cowboys just look buttoned up and ready to go so against the Saints this weekend at home I like their chances because again very similarly to the New England Patriots I don't think the the Saints are some Revelation that we're going to see in 2024 like I do think that the Saints are going to be better than probably I predicted they would be but the Saints offense is still going to struggle against the Cowboys defense in week two like the Cowboys defense got after the Browns their offensive line is really good and they gave up six sacks to Deshawn Watson so I don't really trust the New Orleans Saints offensive line to be able to hold this type of performance if Micah Parsons plays exactly how he did in week one and the rest of the crew does in week one as well so the Cowboys defense I think is still a really strong play this week even with a higher over under now the Colts defense is at number eight they're going to Green Bay to take on the Packers and of course this has everything to do with the fact that Jordan love is out Jordan love will miss the next several weeks at the very least and the Colts defense listen they have not been in the top 12 at all for me in 2024 not in preseason rankings not in week one's rankings they're they're here right now because of this match up with the Packers without Jordan Lu now this a 40.5 over under so it's not exactly high so Vegas does not expect a lot of points in this matchup and I do think the Colts might struggle offensively this could turn out to be a pretty heavy defensive game and I think just with Malik Willis or whatever last minute decision Green Bay decides to do a quarterback if that happens the Colts will be fine this week the Colts still have strong Personnel defensively and I ultimately do they think they could first force a turnover two against the Packers offense that is bound to be less efficient with a backup quarter back now the Broncos defense round out this tier at number nine versus the Pittsburgh Steelers again the over under is so low on this game Vegas does not expect points I do not expect points I think this is going to be a very low-scoring matchup that's why the Broncos are viable and we don't even know what the what the Russell Wilson status is whether he's going to play or whether Justin Fields is going to play either way I think that this is a matchup that the Broncos are going to be able to exploit because as I said earlier the Steelers historically do not travel well to the West Coast and that's going to be a problem for the Pittsburgh Steelers with an already weak offense and the Broncos do have a strong defense keep that in mind the Seahawks were good last week defensively the Broncos were an even better defensive play in Fantasy in some scoring format so the Broncos are no slouch and this week the Broncos are going to be a top 10 play against the Pittsburgh Stewart at home now dropping now to our last tier the commanders here versus the New York Giants this one feels gross this this is exclusively matchup exclusively matchup this is the Giants they're taking on with Daniel Jones and the fact that the media is now declaring Daniel Jones the starter in week 2 should round should shound alarm bells for everybody because Daniel Jones probably is going to get benched at some point the fact that they're having to come out say he's going to start week two that should raise alarm Bells that's what ultimately makes me feel more confident the commanders because I do not like the commanders defense I don't think they're very good they just got housed by the Buccaneers offense they got absolutely thwarted in that game so I do not like the commander defense at all but at home against the Giants it's a better matchup this week against the quarterback that not only just isn't very good but just is really mistake prone too so I think they could get several sacks on on Daniel Jones this week and probably get an interception or two now the Patriots defense is inside the top 12 this week versus the Seattle Seahawks now the the Patriots were actually in the top 16 of my top 32 rankings which you can access on patreon if you want to sign up to see Advanced access of my top 32 defenses the Patriots I actually think are a pretty solid defense I think that's the strength of their team right there they have a defense vers head coach with Gerard Mayo former player for Bill belic when the Patriots were a Dynasty now the Patriots against the Seahawks this week are not as disfavored as some may think like I said Seahawks are a three-point favorite in New England this week I think the Patriots could definitely bring it to the Seahawks and get maybe a turnover or two and a couple sacks in this game Patriots do not have weak defense they're offense is the problem here but if they can keep this to be a low-scoring game and keep it ugly defensively I think the Patriots could be a decent play in fantasy football this week now to round it all out the Jaguars also feel pretty gross but they're taking on the Browns and oh my gosh Deshawn Watson is horrible I mean he is absolutely horrible it's an embarrassment it's an actual embarrassment for the NFL for him to be one of the most expensive players has the most amount of guaranteed money almost out of any player in this league and he is just an atrocious player the Jaguars I think just based on that come in and pretty play pretty well I think the Jags defense actually held the Dolphins to less points than I thought they would last week which gave me a little bit of confidence now it is week it was week one so obviously there was some Rust Factor there but the Browns just suck the Browns offense just sucks with was deshun Watson there and without David and joku that's one less Target that DeShaun Watson trusts so this offense looks pitiful it's in Jacksonville this week I think the Jacksonville Jaguars can get a couple sacks in this game and possibly get a turnover or two from the horrendous DeShaun Watson now what I like to do at the end of every defense Ry video is I like to give you my favorite defensive pickup on the waiver wire in advance for next week if you have the roster space for it now this week there's some seever there's several good matchups here but really the Raiders defense against the Carolina Panthers is my favorite pickup because they're very barely rostered right now they're under 5% rostered on ESPN and they're going to be a bad play this week so they're probably going to get dropped even more maybe down to like 2% rostered this week Raiders defense the reality with them is obviously they didn't have a great week against the Chargers because the Chargers didn't make mistakes the Panthers make mistakes the Panthers offense is not buted up they look really bad right now and I just don't think that this going to get ironed out soon enough so the Raiders defense is going to have a good week at some point and I
