but it's that big arm that really stands out throws the first in time Rutman retired the batt number two short gunar Henderson the next to hit for the Orioles hold for three with two strikeouts and a fly [Music] [Applause] out first pitch doesn't find the zone you can expect this hitter to be looking for something on a te he can get up in the air and untie this ball [Applause] game next and that's ball two not showing great command so far in this at bat two- count he's got to execute here or this could get ugly that's offering in there for a strike and the count two and one as a hitter you got to learn something from that pitch he clearly wasn't timed up on the fast ball in a two count you have to be ready to do damage two and two two down nobody on got him and the Orioles set down in order Orioles held in check there score Remains Two [Music] Two ready to begin the eighth now it's the second baseman Bry terang R terang so a new arm out of the bullpen for the Orioles Danny cologne bringing in the Lefty with the left hand hitter coming up to hit classic bull pin move right here so we'll see how it works [Music] [Applause] out here comes a pitch strike on the inside corner trying to keep good speed off the bases here comes the 0an swing and a ball lifted left field and it falls so the goahead run is on base with a knock always feels amazing getting a job done when the team needs you to come through it's just bigger than your own individual stats that's a ball that a lot of times you'll see the short stop or left fielder be able to get to if it hangs up in the air long off but right there it just died and found a way to drop in on the green stuff with base hit and now a chance to maybe get creative on offense with good speed on first this might be a steal situation but that's not your average catcher behind the dish you have to be careful here now a chance for William contras one and0 in the dirt and no movement on the bases it's ball one [Applause] and a pitch just [Applause] missed that one lifted to left he's got it now it's Christian Yelich known for his late inning heroics swing it foul over the screen and back out of play with the goahead run at first and we're in the top of the eight check on the runner Teran Dives back in safely y one ground ball right side could be two slings to Second and that's two well second the Bas made that one look easy great feed to the short stop Short Stop completes the play they get out of a jam and they end the [Applause] [Music] inning back here in Baltimore out to the bottom of the eight and now the first Bas ran Mount Castle yeah M the pitch swing in a Miss as he was out front that [Applause] time next pitch is outside right-handed [Applause] reliever bounced up the middle and it finds its way through for a hit off to a good start with a lead off down up just kept it simple the middle of thefield and took it back for a and there just no one there to knock it [Applause] down no outs runner at first Anthony santand the next to hit for the Orioles swings through that [Applause] one nobody out runner at [Applause] first just missed if he's able to connect on that look [Applause] out kicks in fires just misses the mark outside the Zone that's a really good take and the pitch great job of laying off those pitches down in the zone to even the count up at two and two such a better feeling for the hitter the pitch oh great stop off balance feed there's one on of Hoskins double play sometimes double plays get turned so quickly that you don't really get to appreciate all of the finer details and how these guys execute right there really nice footwork and a good feed to Second was the key to pulling it off here's the designated hitter for the Orioles Ryan [Applause] o'n to Third sends it to First third out one hit in the inning but no one left through eight full we are tied two2 all set to start the ninth in this one now the Brewers cleanup hitter ree [Applause] Hoskin and a pitch that one's in there strike one and he grounds one back up the middle sizzling on its way to the Outfield so a man on base to start the inning he was all over that one once you get the ball by the pitcher there's a lot of base hits up the middle even on ground balls so a nice job to use that big hole and get himself a hit go ahead run on base Willi Adamas up now for the Brewers he's already Homer here in this [Applause] one the short stop takes the ball [Applause] and that's in there at the knees for a strike good approach right there you want to get something just a little higher that you can Elevate stand on that double play at the belt and fires to the right side sneaks through base hit throw back in quickly first and second now with nobody out two consecutive base hits for this team just a simple ground ball the other way they had eyes on it sometimes that's all you need to do just let the ball travel put the ball in the play and just hope it finds a ho really important bag coming up now Joseph Ortiz getting ready to hit Corner infielders up on the grass expecting a bunt [Applause] Zack bun towards third quips it to Mount Castle out on the sack ball not a bad outcome in that spot the runner moves up to Third and now they have a chance to drive in the go-ahead run it's not a knock but at the end of the day it's a good batt now it's going to be SRE golden opportunity right here here's the safly situation and he's got to make sure he gets the ball out over the plate and get those arms extended they're trying to Crow him with the infield in be a big pick off if we can push a run across definitely a strike out situation right here lots of ways for that go-ahead run to score if the ball's put in play [Applause] here's the pitch it's a double steal squeeze int misses and they tag it for the out and wow fer someone missed the side completely he just tried to steal home [Applause] wouldn't chase that [Applause] time two two down and that's in the dirt Jackson inside fast really locked him off and it's a hitter it's not typically what you're looking for you're trying to protect away and then end so you can be a little bit tardy with two strikes hard to tell if he was fooled or if he thought it' be called the ball but either way that's a really nice pitch so digging in Colton cowser hold hard but it's a foul [Applause] ball one down base is empty and cutting but missing down low swing and a ground ball out to short rolls across the diamond and that quickly two away if you want to be a great defense you have to deliver consistently it doesn't matter how many highlight real plays you make if you can't execute the small stuff just like we saw and next to the Oriol Cedric [Applause] Mullin check swing did he go yes he did no balls one strike [Applause] two outs that's outside going to count one and [Applause] two and another ball all tied up there the last half of inning number nine [Applause] that missed by a lot and that's ball three Jordan Westberg waiting on deck for the Orioles [Applause] keeps the Imp back going with a foul [Applause] ball outside and that his ball for it wasn't easy but he earned that BL after a long at that's a nice job of grinding out that a lot of pitches and ends up drawing the wall Very gritty back to the top of the lineup so next to hit Baltimore Jordan [Applause] Wester inside corner at the knees for a [Applause] strike next offering is in for a strike pretty impressive we haven't seen that pitch from him much but he's got a really good feel when he throws him two outs but the winning run is at first delivers outside wouldn't chase that time two and two that misses full combat adley Rutman next to bat for B fights it off he'll see another payoff pitch down to the dirt swinging a miss that completes the strike out and that door so they can't push across the winning run and that means free baseball here this afternoon we are tied 22 back now as it'll be a pinch hitter to lead off Francisco Mia spot you've been sitting on the bench all the way into Extra Innings but this could be a huge back for him if he can get on cologne back to work just [Applause] missed the one inside corner and that's called the strike a little frustrated with the strike zone and now two balls in a strike play upes trying to tight things up a little [Applause] bit that's hard hit in the line drops into the glob and there's one down man if that drops right there they would have gotten the potential winning run on base maybe even in a scoring position but that's just one of those hang withs next to hit Blake Perkins three strikeouts already he's 0 for three and that's a strike B is empty one away here in the top half of the 10 here's the 02 swings and misses struck him out and Chris that's a way to neutralize his speed while keeping him off base and the defense breathes the because he puts pressure on everyone if he can put the ball in play but that's how you do it keep him off balance get him out of there and deal with the next [Music] guy here's the second basem Bryce terang immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter W and now the Lefty that one finds the zone and the count is 0 and two two down nobody on here in Extra Innings swing and a miss and he's struck him out and Milwaukee is set down in order nothing doing for the offense that time on to the bottom of inning number 10 we are tied [Music] 22 back here in extras and a new pitcher on the m in the bottom half of the inning Joel pams he has a great slider with tons of [Music] movement so coming into the game now on defense Garrett Mitchell he takes over and right [Music] adley Rutman digs in now leading [Applause] off [Applause] the as he turns on the rubber with that good live arm delivers Hoskins takes it himself one out the bottom of the 10 number two short gun so up next gunar Henderson 0 for four with three strikeouts and a fly [Applause] out fouled off he was late this guy's got good power with one swing he can win it for him and that one out off [Music] [Applause] [Music] and the right-hander deals not with that one and count one and two ripped on the ground to Second terang over the first in time and a couple of quick outs a lot on that right there nice job with the pitcher to Bear Down make the pitch get the ground ball excellent piece of work here's Ryan in Mount [Applause] Castle [Applause] outside and he grounds one to the right side gathers and throws to First and we're headed to the 11 three up three down for the Orioles and this game is still tied in two and [Music] two and we're back now we go to the 11 here's the catcher William [Applause] contras the pitch that's in now and that's strike one fall off foul Ki andos swings through it and that's a strike out good late cut for the strike out there that thing really got in on him and you know the cutter isn't really a huge swing and Miss pitch most of the time because it's not really meant to move a whole lot you're just trying to miss the big part of the barrel and maybe get some weak contact but that one right there did a whole lot more than that that was a really good pit and now it's Christian Yelich and that one fouled off [Applause] next off bring he in for a strike G's down looking really love the Qui sequence right there I'm telling you what p and catcher on the same Reese Hoskins up now for the Brewers in there at the knees that strike one hey seven straight strikes to start the frame he's got a chance at an Immaculate any that's a strike and the count is 0 and two all right there's number eight one away gets a piece and it stays 0 and [Applause] two two down do on Off the Mark there and it's one and two got close to the immaculate inning and he just couldn't find the zone right there when you think about it nine straight strikes so tough to [Applause] do spoils a two- strike pitch and he'll see another [Applause] eighth pitch of the at back coming up got it for the k [Applause] [Music] we're in extras here digging in is the switch inting outfielder Anthony s the rightand are back to work and takes low the ball one they tried to get him to chase at a slider down away back to back breaking pitches away you get the feeling as a hitter that the pitcher is afraid of you that he doesn't want to challenge you so I think the confidence level is raised right here misses with the 2 and he's fired three straight outside the strike zone Ryan o' to bat next instead of letting the hitter get his arms extended tied him up a little bit slightly up slightly [Applause] in swing and a miss and that's strike two count and that's too high ball for exactly what they needed him to deliver there a quity B way to get now here's the DH Ryan [Applause] o [Music] you check swing he went too far and it's a strike [Applause] that's a slider for a strike just a beautiful slider right there if you got any chance of hitting that pitch you have to wait until the absolutely last millisecond no just a tough pitch to hit and not an easy one to FL either and now it's even up grounder might be two Teran over to second on the Hoskins double play I think four six3 double plays like that are tougher than these guys make it look sometimes because no matter how you do it the feed from the second basem is a tough one that's where fo work really comes into play but right there very well done Ramon Ras the next to hit for the Orioles out front with the swing and that is strike one o and [Applause] one the pitch comes up empty that strike two that front door slider such a devastating pitch you don't want to get beat by the inside fast ball so you cheat a little bit and then by the time it gets there it's out of the Swing [Applause] play softly in the air down the line Fair ball hey whatever works right doesn't have to be impressive that line drive isn't going to line up stat cast or anything like that but he gets the job done he just kind of caught it on a weird spot of the bat but he didn't get cheated with the swing that's for sure so a change being made at first base and pinch running for the Orioles Jorge Mato two outs runner at first and into the box for Baltimore Colton cower that one misses B one up the middle and there's a base hit throw comes in quickly but the winning run is now in scoring position two away back to back base hits really nice job staying up the Middle with his you didn't try to do too much with the pitch just shot it through the infield now just one swing away from potentially walking this thing off first and second two outs and next for the Orioles Cedric Mullen on the ground right side fires over to Hoskins beats him to the bag and that means we're playing 12 a couple of hits in the inning but they can't get him home 11 innings in the books now we are tied 22 now into the ball game on defense jge Mato he's the new third Bas Willi Thomas up now for the Brewers he's already homered in this [Applause] game and he di in there at the knees for a strike going one [Applause] look down on strikes and there's one away here in the 12 it's just a n pitch there I'm not surprised at all he got the strike out looking compl looks like it's a fast off the corner the entire way until just that very last second when that cutting action takes over him brings it back to clip the outside corner you just got to tip your cap sometimes but overall that's just a nasty pitch and now it's going to be Joseph Ortiz Bas is empty one away and we're deep into extras just miss that's the ball [Applause] one down base is empty fouled off he was late the two- two on the way that ball is foul and the pressure is building pitcher having a pretty tough time getting that swing and Miss third foul ball in a row and a pitch Fly ball to S joh deir drifts towards it pulls it down and he makes the catch two down here's the left fielder South Frey 0 for four with four strikeouts oh he doesn't get the call and that is ball one two down nobody off here deep into Extra Innings in there for a strike at the top of the Zone here's a one one that one fouled off [Applause] [Music] and the pitch and now two and [Applause] two uh-oh that got him and the potential winning run is aboard well he just couldn't get out the way of that one and that's not an easy thing to do when you got a fast coming in hot new arm out of the bullpen John the offense will need to be ready for the breaking stuff he's got a great curveball [Music] [Applause] pitch is in there and it's a and one one two outs that's the [Applause] ball that one down pitch here's a highfly ball out to Center Perkins has this one sized up and it's caught for the out oh such a confidence boost for a relever to come into the ball game and get the first hitter he faces just makes everything slow down a little bit and then from there can really settle in [Applause] Rutman in the box now takes strike one oh and one that's off the mark and it count as one and one the Lefty fires hit pretty well in the air out to Center grutman retired and there's two down the two short stop here's the short stop at the play gunar Henderson in a spot like this are you up there thinking to yourself of trying to end the game absolutely it's been a long one you're hungry and you're ready to go home right side terrain to First and here comes inning number 13 so they make short work of them there no end in sight the 13th coming up we are side 2 two new inning getting started up now for Milwaukee Blake Perkins both sides equally as strong so not a good time to try to turn him around with a relief pitcher and put him on the other side of the plate that one catches the Zone it's O and one o and one and strike two the first pitch just a tough pitch at the knees in the outside corner for a strike and then he went in on the next one so he's got to move the ball in and out from Pitch to pitch up and down and just try to keep these guys looking all over the place and never lock into one area cuz he just doesn't have and a swing to miss down on strikes and one B bar is a pretty good pitch top of the strik Zone we see more fast balls in that location hitters especially when two strikes have to be ready to pull the [Music] trigger Bry terang now at the plate struck out on just three pitches last time in for a St and one thr and one one down base is empty pass for a strike he doesn't seem to like the P hasn't offered on either one of those pitches 02 count now I think the guy's going to climb the ladder out there that misses the zone and that's ball one tough to take a two strike change yard that just missed I think it Frozen [Applause] swing a miss and he got him now to away had him out in frun which isn't easy to do against a hitter like this known for using the entire field just couldn't sit back long enough on that William contras up down for the Brewers three pitch strike out last time up got to put up more of a fight in this one swing in a miss long and one two down dolman on the ground to short Henderson tosses the first and it's a one two three inning so no runs no hits no errors and no one left another chance to win it home half of the inning coming up we are tied [Applause] 22 back now at Ori par last half of the 13th set to go so now the Orioles cleanup H Ryan Mount Castle and a pitch late swing fouled off [Applause] and it's one and one right off the middle that's a base hit and the winning run is AB board just a total night for lefties i' be very surprised to see that match up again timing on the swing was good able to shoot the ball up the middle didn't squared up as much as he probably would have liked but that's a good approach paying off no outs runner at first so next to hit for Baltimore Anthony santand ball one L winning run is at first here in the bottom of the [Applause] 133 and a count one and [Applause] two winning run on base at first no outs and another ball wouldn't chase that time kicks and fires and a foul ball he stays alive 32 knocks that one away and we do it again with the winning run on it first here an extra [Applause] innings fouled off again and a remains three and two at the belt and fires now Fly ball to Right Center Perkins on his way over and there's one down every day during batting practice these outfielders get about 10 minutes of balls in the gaps when they practice this and when the game comes they make the play perfectly so now the DH spot Ryan o' her you know this is kind of a tough matchup as a left-handed hitter facing a left-handed pitcher what you tell yourself is I want to stay Square to the plane try to hit the ball over the short Stop's head ori's making a move for a pinch hitter aloy jenez run on First and one down for and that's the Inside Edge and that's ball one one down winning run on it first the one one [Music] B out to Center Perkins moving under it calls it in and there's two away third number three morge mat now getting his first plate appearance here in Extra Innings see enter the game as a pinch [Applause] Runner rolled softly but that goes [Applause] foul here the bottom of the 13 two outs swing and a ball driven pretty well out towards left Center no trouble here puts it away for the out and and that is the [Music] inning all set for the start of the inning and now Christian Yelich Christi yich the L in the pitch and fouled off the wi to the pitch and that is in for strike and it's 0 and two and a pitch that one away horal movement on that c right there just enough to get him to chase it placed it just off the corner that's one of those where a pitcher says if he's going to miss he's going to miss all the pl so really good job great pitch for the punch out Reese Hoskins up now for the [Applause] Brewers Hoskins pushes a [Applause] foul the pitch and he takes one right on the black and now the Lefty him looking for the K so The Bu are doing a nice job backing up the effort from their starter yeah we've seen some pretty excellent pitching out of this staff so far I mean they've come in ready to do their job and get outs they've been pretty tough to get to in this [Music] one now it's the short stop will Adamas went down looking on three pitches last time let's see if he can be a little more aggressive right here swing and a Tacker that rolls foul [Applause] two down nobody on and here in Extra [Applause] Innings and that one a little below the knees and the count even one and one one and [Applause] one good eye on that's the ball [Applause] next off bring is in for a strike two ball two stri swings through that and it's a strike down and it's a three up three down [Applause] inning look at me I feel so powerful look at me so the Brewers bring on a new pitcher from the the pen Brian Hudson ran Hudson tied to two here the 14 and now [Applause] Colton the pitch check swing did he go yes he did B wood strike [Applause] here's y one and that one fouled off kicks and foul ball still o and two the pitch and that's in the one and two the count this to third fires over to Hoskins one up one down now Cedric mull the next to hit for the Orioles over for three a fly out of ground found out in a strike out Orioles making a move for a pinch hitter Jackson holid and this is a big ofat in this ball game and the first pitch misses for one late swing foul to the [Applause] left one down base is empty and there's a ball way out front for strike two they really need to hang in there with that front side against this left-handed breaking ball and he deals and another ball Jordan Westbrook on Deck Circle B is empty one away near the bottom to the 14 he swings and hits a Fly ball center field makes the grab two [Applause] down Jordan wper the next to hit for the Orioles this guy a player that if he gets on base has the ability to really be aggressive getting around the base passs for a strike and it's own and one and he gets tied up right there talk about tying a guy up that was [Applause] ugly here comes a pitch gets a piece there we'll do it again [Applause] two outs fights that one away and the count remains o and [Applause] two [Applause] upstairs out there to Center sizing this one up he's got it and that'll end the inning [Music] [Applause] back here in Baltimore we're at extras here up now for Milwaukee Joseph Ortiz as the Lefty gets to work grab ball up the middle in plenty of time the first one up one down next for Milwaukee sou freand taken high in the draft he's had that top prospect labeled over him since he put on a professional uniform but it's some point that starts to go away and you've got to produce at the big league level right through there for a strike and that one fouled off
