College Football 25: Utah Dynasty ( Wk 1 - vs. FCS West ) Season Opener Simulation

to Rice Ecko stadium and one of the most intimidating environments in all of college football mostly because the Utah Utes are always a handful today we have one of those games that test your focus top 25 team against an unranked opponent can you take care of business as we'll see the Royals taking on the 12th ranked team in the land the Utah youth for EA Sports college football I'm ree Davis joined here in the booth as always by David Pollock and Jesse Palmer guys let's tee this one up the you will put total Lea to crank us up he thought about bringing that out for a half second but he'll take a knee and they'll bring it to the 25 the Royals offense will have the first possession of the game and here comes their veteran leader he has been through the battle guys and there are plenty of expectations this season yeah and there should be expectations this guy's been around a long time knows the systems knows the players everybody's going to have to believe in him for this year to be a big success hit the afterburners kid big big gain on that one as he steps out of bounds with a first down defense is going to have their hands full trying to stop this guy they better rally to the football and get multiple hats cuz he is not easy to bring down the RO Royals will hustle to the line looking to throw it's bie makes the grab he'll be stopped just short of the end zone but they'll have it first and goal talking to this coaching staff they felt they had matchups in the passing game that they could win and they wanted to test this defense and see if they could take the top off well you saw it right there open Drive of the game they're being aggressive they're taking a shot and they come up with a big one and trust me fellas they're going to keep taking those shots because they've got some dudes outside looking to pass on second down and it'll be incomplete this is some physical pass defense that last incompletion is a good example of why your timing has to be so good as a quarterback because the windows they open and they close so quickly in this part of the field touchdown Royals and they score first they're on the board first here in the season opener what a nice job by the offense first drive of the game they matriculated it down the field put themselves in a go tog go situation on third down it's not going to be easy throwing it but they win the matchup accurate throw and they get paid El will try to add another to their lead and with the extra point they get the first seven of the [Applause] game the officials offer the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the penalty they're lining up to kick it off and he ought to be able to knock this one anywhere he wants after that extra 15 yard with the ruing the kicker so the Utah UTS offense will get the ball for the first time as we take a look at our impact players for this one what are you looking for Jesse for a guy to make an impact well these are simply put the leaders of this football team and generally games go how these guys play if they make plays they've got a shot to win this one no doubt they got to show up the these are the team leaders these guys have to play well if they're going to win the football game got room at the 35 oh spin move and he picks up the first down and he does it I'm not going to say spin move that was a pouette it was elegant it was beautiful that last play is the kind of thing the offense can really build some momentum on and now they've got it first and 10 outside the 40 and excellent Vision to find Running Room there and make a really good pick up before the def defense put a stop to it up to 45 yds rushing what a way to get this season started from the 30 yd line on first down back to pass it's rising and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second [Applause] down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again the offense showing motion from the tight end trying to get a read on the D from the gun they'll try the middle and he is brought down but what a move he put on that first Defender I think throughout the week in practice when they were game planning their opening script I don't even know if they envisioned it going as well as it has this has been beautiful nice balance really nice Rhythm it feels like everything they're dialing up here on their first drive of the game is working to Perfection can't find his man as he took a shot trying to deliver that football and it'll be second down fast motion from the offense he'll try it again on second and 10 he'll throw it this time it's complete and he Motors into the end zone touchdown you and what did I start for this offense the throw game getting working getting the touchdown pass this quarterback getting a little bit of confidence this passing game getting in a rhythm nice start for this offense lining up for the Pat and it's perfect so that scoring Drive took only six plays and the score comes on a 17 yd throw for the touchdown and we're all square as he's set to kick it away and they desperately wanted to attempt a return but decided not to instead they'll take the touch back out comes the offense as they get set to take over from the gun running back on the Move Works ahead for a couple they'll stop him at the 27 I'll tell you this is a running back who's very very dangerous and the defense did a good job getting him down there but they got to do a great job game tackling because this is a guy that can break tackles and turn those types of plays into home runs got his man quickly he's close to the first down but they're going to Mark him just a little short and quarterback receiver on the same page nice job seeing the Zone understanding the drag route concept easy pitch easy catch and the pass is intercepted looking for more room touchdown ukah the defense puts six on the board with a big time interception return what a play by this defense with the pick six and how about the defender exactly what you're supposed to breaks on the football makes the interception everybody on defense we turn to offense go lay some blocks so my guy can get it and take it back to the house lining up to tack one more onto that lead and Pat gives him a 14-7 lead they'll kick it off and send that defense right back out there to try to score again after the pick six and he'll just take a knee and this drive will start at the 25 the drive starts from their own 25 yd line from the gun they'll try to impose their will tackle is made at the 28 after a pick up of three nice run there on first down you know this is a running back that gets better as the game goes on so they're going to want to make sure they keep feeding him the football let him get lathered up receiver looks it in it's complete stopped at the 43 after the 15yd pickup now on first down from the 43 yd line he wants to throw using the quick game a nice job by the QB there timing out that drag throw it's Zone coverage so he's got to make sure he gets it to his receiver in a window to allow him to catch the ball and then turn it up field back to throw it's BBE finds a soft spot in the middle a quick tackle made but he's got plenty for the first down and the Royals look to keep this drive humming back to the air one more time and the physical play there forces the incompletion on first down well that looked like he was going to be a completion but how about the defender making the hit and forcing the incompletion he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of [Applause] three better find the earplugged here comes the Bo backing this defense on third down looking to throw and he needs a chunk play couldn't find a man and just had to throw it away to avoid a negative play it's so nice when you know it's third and long you know a pass is coming you worked on it all week get your feet set at the sticks understand that quarterback's got to be rushed get him off of his spot nice execution by this defense foul kick so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty so the offense keeps his Drive alive thanks to the roughing the punter penalty quick pass on the Fly motion able to pick his way forward for a decent game before the defense gets him down and that play is essentially like a jet sweep right this offense is going to run the football conventionally they do it between the tackles they'll do it outside but there's a lot of different creative ways they can get their Playmakers the football in the running game and I think that was an example of what you saw right there Ball's at the 27 it's third and short can they avoid making that fourth down decision and that's incomplete a Defender all over him knocked the ball to the ground fourth down coming up if you don't convert on this fourth down there will be questions about passing on the field goal try they'll try it on the ground they stop him short of the marker and they'll turn it over on Downs I like it this defense plays aggressive on Fourth and short and they are rewarded figured they would run the football they did nice job getting some penetration and stopping that fourth down play he picks up maybe a couple before he stopped right at the 30 yd line you know runs like this often times are like a boxer in a boxing match obviously it's not a knockout punch but these are body blows and as the game goes on these small games are going to turn into longer runs and with that stop we are headed toward the end of the first quarter guys that's the end of the quarter and Utah has the lead here we've played one before we move on let's have a look at the stats now to see if these guys can get back in the game as we open in the second quarter back on the field after the break and we'll start the quarter here on third down to the air it's rising he's going for a big play downfield grabs it inside the 15 and the catch and run into the end zone touchdown you effective offense leading the way here in establishing this lead and that's how you draw it up right you want to come out be clicking early get everything going what to get all the facets rolling the defense right now on their heels they have no answers the offense doing whatever they want he'll try to add another to their lead and the extra point puts them on top 21-7 and for a quick update let's go to Kevin Conor in the studio week in and week out guys you never know what's going to happen in college football check this out San Jose state has the lead right now but if this team has taught us anything over the years it's that no lead is safe inside old sporting Stadium they're up by seven over the Royals we'll Circle back if anything big happens you need to know about it and how about that one Kevin will be keeping an eye on everything going on elsewhere find some space enough to get five to the 22 the Royals headed quickly to the line he's back to throw on second down working on the right and he's brought down after a huge completion I know it's early in the game but defensively after that play you know you have to tackle the catch when this guy gets the ball in his hands he is so dangerous after the fact so it's okay for him to make catches just got to get him to the ground quickly they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one well the most insightful analysis I can come up with on that one is that didn't work back to the drawing board to see if there's something that works a little better soon or if I can quote the great Reese Davis that was very UNG good not a productive first down play boy they'd love to pick up this conversion and go to work with a first and goal they go to the draw he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple well they try to go with the draw out of the shotgun but just way too much penetration allowed up front that defensive line just took that play over they get off the rock really fast getting the Back Field the offensive linemen are supposed to push him up field quarterback's got to sell it not anything really in that play in sync and it doesn't go [Applause] anywhere the Utah offense returns ready to go back on the attack this offense is really really been clicking in the game so far Jesse no doubt everything their play caller is dialing up these guys offensively have been able to go out and execute them yeah and it's just maintaining the lead keep doing what you've been doing you got a big lead let's just keep piling it on until they find an answer motion from the offense on the move it's Bernard Alber cross the 30 to the 39 after getting 10 on that one he's now up to 70 yds rushing and that is quite an impressive first half here in this season opener back to throw it's ryy unloads to the right nice defensive play to get a hand in there and knock it away well I know that one fell incomplete but what a day this guy has had thrown the football multiple touchdowns and he's done a really nice job with his decision making hasn't thrown any picks which has really helped keep this offense on schedule that pass is incomplete and they might be fortunate it wasn't knock free for a fumble it'll be third down oh he's going to try to hit him deep and it slips through his fingers incomplete that would have been a huge game if he could have held on and the yous will send out the punt unit he'll try to really get into this one no return coming he'll call for the fair catch all right guys so here's the offense back on the field again out of the gun the inside handoff to the running back a knocked him down after a gain of three to the 23 the Run game just has not been working for this offense all game long saw it on that last play as well just not getting enough push up front on the offensive line they haven't been physical and he fights his way forward gets away from one but not much doing on that one debb Rising as the crowd Gets behind this defense on third down from the gun wants to pass and they get to the quarterback and knock him down back at the 16 that is a gut punch if you're the offense because they're in dime Personnel they're only rushing four guys you've got five offensive linemen you've got the option of bringing other people in to help give your QB time and this offense not good enough and the Royals will punt this one away on the return it's Stanley bulldozes his way through really nice job all the way around got a few blocks made a couple of moves and a good return on that one before he's pushed out of bounds now they'll try to cash in this drive first and 10 from the 50 got a man it's Parks they get him down at the 34 yd line give him 15 yds on the pickup and a first down fresh set of downs after the completion well Jet Sweep pass and a nice solid pick up there before the defense wrestles him to the ground round running game worked on first down let's see if they go back to it on second down to the air it's rying finds his tight end he's really close to that first down marker but they stop him just a bit short I'll say this man in college football you see a lot of bad tackling you didn't see it right there that was an awesome job first off being there at the point of attack once the tight end made the catch there was no doubt he was going down great job form tack they'll try to get the first three the air fin a little time lets it Go caught near the sticks it's keii he is tackled but it'll be a fresh set of downs the UTS will line it up on First and 10 from the Red Zone looking for a space makes his connection gets out of bounds after the big game but they've got it first and goal he is dealing on this drive completed all five throws and now they have first and goal yeah and who needs balance when you got a guy like this you trust him getting the ball back in the pocket the ball's coming out spreading it around the field nice decision making this drive has been surgical for this QB looking for just one more yard it's second and goal and this one will be stopped for No Gain well he gets tackled down at the one yd line so offensively do you feel confident enough on third here trying to hand it off again yeah and I'm taking both these downs and I'm coming downhill I'm running the football trying to get this in the end zone I only got a yard to go though I got to be physical here's a Timeout on the field tight game here late in the first half now looks as if they'll settle for the field goal try thought he had it and couldn't get it through the upright he missed it missed the field goal but still a two touchdown lead at 14 he Wast no time and comes out throwing they're setting up the screen they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall to set up the screen and create some lanes for their running back looking to throw it's BB and oh what a grab on the layout on the right side the Royals in the hurry up defense not showing press coverage wants to throw on first down can hang on and he'll tell you he really should have made that catch and he had an opportunity right in the middle it'll be second down couldn't connect on first down now back to the air and there was nowhere to go for this quarterback and down he goes a timeout is called as this offense tries to find a way to get more points on the board before the half some misdirection with the counter he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of it three timeout call by the defense it's their first of the half as they'll make some adjustments fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way running it back it's Stanley and he's going to get it up to about the 29 yd line before he's brought down on first down here comes this offense he's going to pass getting some heat going to try to get it himself it's just so nice to have a QB under Center nowadays in football you can trust these guys you put so much on their plate and you tell them go get positive yards when it's there and a lot of these guys are such great athletes they do it with ease a beautifully placed ball to the outside in the tow drag for the big pickup now a first down from the 45 yd line he's looking to throw it deep shot for the end zone and they weren't able to make the connection they were looking for an explosive Play Time dwindling away as they try to put points on the board right before the half well the game plan's been pretty simple offensively right they are taking shots and they're being aggressive throwing it down the field this guy's already got two touchdown passes we're still in the first half and on that last one he was looking for number three if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum to the air it's ring looking for the End Zone can't make the connection incomplete pass and one second remains and the yous will try to pin them back with the punt this will be the second time they've had to kick it away and the ball comes to rest right there that's going to wrap up the first half here and now we join Kevin with a halftime update gentlemen you've been calling a lively one so far from Salt Lake City toughest job inside that Stadium right now might just be the scoreboard operator after all those first downs and touchdowns big plays have defined this one thanks to two of the best receiving core in all of college football let's see if these defenses can adjust and make the necessary chess moves with that said let's send it back to the guys at Rice Ecko Stadium and the Royals will kick it away to start the second half here's the return 10 really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 Utah has it back on the offense coming onto the field they'll start this third quarter with a run plows through the defense get some work done there pick up a four to the to 22 small gain I know but again the defense knows he's going to run the football he's willing to run the football not just drop back and pass make him on to the Run game you got to do a lot of this movement here from the tight end off the play fake going downfield for the big play and it goes through his hands oh he had an explosive play right there for the taking but couldn't reel it in couldn't find his man last time and that leaves him with a third and six dropping back it's rising quick strike complete nice job to get it past the sticks and they get him down at the 35 the UTS will snap it on First and 10 quarterback touch pass on the Jet Sweep just trcks through it and it is a chunk play a huge gain on that one before the defense brings it to an end I love that play call and I love the timing of the pre- snap motion because the quarterback was able to get it to the receiver right behind the offensive line because of the timing he was able to outflank the defense that puts him out in space where he's able to use his speed nice job with the pre-nap motion and timeing touch pass on the Jet Sweep slither into space and he'll be forced out of bounds but not before yet another big play in this passing attack and you see so many of these plays now in today's football wide receiver coming in motion and the quarterback catches it just flips it for that's a completed pass uh you see the big plays where it just lets him get on the edge really really quickly oh there's a loose football on the bad pitch picks up the ball and tries to make something of it man those are back Breakers defensively you get so excited you force the fumb I'm going to get a turnover and the offense Fells defense rolls up deep in its own end on that last play now a second and long coming trying play action he'll take a shot had it in his hands for the score and let it fall to the turf it'll be third down I'm not positive but that first down marker might be in the next County throws to the tight end makes the catch takes it to the house touchdown Utah how about that his second receiving touchdown of the ball game find ways to get your athletes the ball they'll do the rest that's number two they better start playing some better defense and number three is coming soon on to attempt the try the kick is up and good and put one more on the lead we check in with Kevin Connor what's going on Kevin all right guys want to update you on a game that went final moments ago UCF found a way to pull out a victory it wasn't vintage nights football today those folks in Orlando won't remember this one forever but they will remember it was a w 60 Minutes of football and a convincing outcome and C cly a game with implications far beyond just the standings fellas Kevin thanks a lot for that one sounds as if they had a good one there they'll line up with trip to the right side on second and six and the pass is incomplete Jarred Loose by the hit well it's a nice job by the quarterback getting the ball out of his hands quickly on that RPO he saw something he liked just not on the same page with his receiver looking for a man it's BB throws to the wide out and they dialed up a shot play but they couldn't hook up well after struggling so much in the first half you thought they would have made some adjustments here at halftime to see if they can open up this passing game but early on in the second half they're just not really able to get that done incompletion on third down and your own end you're expecting them to punt returns like that are why you don't settle for the fair catch if you don't have to picks up just a little little bit of yards to help out the O the Utah offense returns ready to go back on the attack quickly complete still on his feet at the 45 and good blocking in space out there to give him enough room to pick up the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs they'll try the Run dances away from one they wrestle him to the ground but he's got plenty for a first down he's racked up 92 yds rushing now here in week one a solid start to this new campaign they move the tight end all over off play action on first down looking down the middle got a wide open receiver touchdown Y and the route is on and it's been more of the same in the second half for this offense doing whatever they want what a start to the season man this is exactly what you draw up everything they drew up in the off season has worked in game one and that's why they are dominating this football game this quarterback obviously did a lot of film prep coming into this one he has been picking this defense apart with that last completion guys he's now got over 300 yds passing and the extra point sails through and they have a 35 5 seven lead quick strike offense on that three playay scoring drive and the scoring play comes on a touchdown pass from 22 yds out and no chance at a return here they'll start this drive at their own 25 and let's see what kind of ball plays this offense has ready free snap motion quarterback trying to get a read quick pass on the jet motion these little Gams can start to add up as he gets it up to the 34 the big pickup on first down leaves him with second and one they'll go to the ground the Royals get the first down and a lot of coaches put a lot of emphasis on situational type running like when it's a goal to go to situation short yarded situation like when I need to run the football and they know I'm running the football right haven't had a lot of success but I needed a few yards to get the first down great job by the offensive line creating some space and getting the first down still some work to do after that last completion it's second down looking downfield it's BB got away from trouble and got rid of it got his man in the middle and the catch was one thing and the Run even better a big pick up on that one and the Royals are rolling down the field trying to find his man on first down tipped ball put it up for grabs and I thought he had it but somehow it slithered through his fingers second down coming up they'll give it to the back he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple it's been that kind of day for this offense right it seems like anything they're dialing up just simply isn't working but at this point David I don't know if it's even worth trying to run the ball probably not you're getting destroyed right now nothing has gone your way and when you're down this much I I think the running game is used sporadically not as a staple let's throw this football around and see what can happen the Royals come to the line with a fresh set of downs hand off from the gun he gets it across the 25 to the 24 give him five on the carry as they get set to snap at just about to reach the end of the quarter they're looking for an advantage to the right brought down to the ground but he has enough for the first down big catches big plays tons of yards through three quarters for these two guys [Applause] so will the beat down continue or is this a comeback for the ages in store we'll see as we start the fourth on First and 10 trying to strike from the 15 takes this hand off and headed to the right got some room headed to the goal line and he'll finish the run in the endzone touchdown Royals yeah and this offense needs a spark Man Down big this is listen it's game one it's not the end of the world but we got a deficit got to put some Drives together nice drive here now the defense needs to do their part because they got to put this thing in Turbo P unit on the field and the extra point is good they still Trail 3514 so that was a 10pl a 75 yd drive and they finished it with a beautiful 15yd Run for the score he'll start the return inside his five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 Utah has a back and the offense coming onto the field there have been few obstacles for this offense as they are starting to pull away here in the second half Jesse and this has been a dream game for this play caller too right it's like anything that he's calling is working flawlessly yeah it's fun to be the offensive coordinator but not the defensive coordinator they have had no answers it's been an absolutely miserable day trying to Solve the Riddle of this offense well I tell you man this guy's been putting on a show all game long we've seen his decision making we've seen his athleticism because of him they've got this huge lead in the fourth quarter so why stop throwing it just keep it going when the Going's good give him 96 yards on the day and the defense has been getting a steady di of this dude on opening day they'll put the tight end in motion the play action fake looking to the big tight end right on the money to the outside he dragged the toe and how about the ball placement only the receiver could get it it's first and 10 from the 38 yd line the give to the bat nowhere to run on that one he loses four on the carrry his Drive was clicking along but now it's second and 14 back to throw it's rising sends it down field and it's incomplete after taking a shot on second down they're staring at third they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here on Third and long he'll have to turn it loose deep pass on the way it's picked off didn't get a chance to show off those return skills but he gives his offense the ball at the 29 well the defense isn't quitting they're obviously down big here in their fourth quarter with just a little bit of time left obviously it'll take a herculan effort to come back but could that interception be the spark that ignites this team off the deflection missed a great chance to force the turnover instead it'll be second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again he wants to pass it on second down pocket starts to collapse just had to get rid of that one good job to fight another play Ball's at the 29 defense can taste getting off the field it's third and long from the gun wants to pass another incompletion on third down it's a nice adjustment by the defense here with a big lead in the game you're putting extra DBS on the field knowing the offense has to throw to get back in this one in the fourth quarter so your best cover guys on the field and they force an incompletion on the last one well they just drained all the suspense out of the fourth down conversion moving the chains easily that's a great example of the receiver knowing exactly where the first down marker is he got the depth he needed to get so once he was able to make the catch he already knew he had it now fresh set it Downs After the three- yd pickup they come to the line second and seven he's looking to throw he finds his man and the defense had that one well covered just a short game there sixth play of the drive coming up looking for a man it's Bailey pulls it in open space at the 25 that is exactly what you're looking for when you talk explosive plays the defense finally able to make the stop leaves it with the back and there were no creases or crevices to run through and they shove him out of bounds going to work in the Red Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone trying to impose their will with the Run gets it inside the T picks up a yard they'll mark it at the nine they're strong and they're SC defensive tackles they're strong there's such big jokers in the Middle where they just lock out those offensive linemen and running backs listen they don't have much of a chance when you got that 300 plus pound guy grabbing you around the shoulder pad you tend to go to the ground pretty quickly on fourth down going to the air and he'll step into the end zone touchdown Royals well that didn't necessarily go as planned but it was most effective in the end I love it reys down in the Red Zone this quarterback didn't have anybody open didn't Panic he just decided man I'm going to go do this myself I'm going to use my wheels and put up six on the board he did just that and let's check in with Kevin Conor's in the studio Kevin guys right back to your game after we update the nation on this one Tulsa goal to Victory today in a game where they not only capitalized on opportunities they created them and that's the way this coach wants them to play every week a lot to go through in the film session this week for both teams but boy it's sure it's going to be easier for the side that came away with the win and Kevin Conor's keeping an eye on everything all over the country sounds like they had a good one there gets it inside the five down to the four and it'll be first and goal this defense really needs to be careful and they have to play with great eye discipline understanding where the football is at all times moving forward they have got to know if this guy has the ball cuz he is dangerous in space back to pass it's rising a little release to the back touchdown Utah reeled it in and just made the house call well I think this home environment was just too much for their opponents to handle there's been unbelievable noise and energy the crowd showed up today but how about the playmaking on the field these guys have got dudes all over the field and this kind of win week one sends a statement and reverberates all across college [Applause] football lining up to attack one more onto that lead and the extra point splits the upright and there up a full three touchdowns a 21-point cushion in the fourth they're lining up to boot it away and he's going to try to return this one rolling the dice to bring it out of the endzone did not work out as he stopped at the 13 opening play of this drive comes from the 13 yd line they'll throw it on first down looking to the big tight end and it's in complete if you're going to take a hit like that you might as well hang on to the ball line getting set on second down off play action they're bringing heat nowhere close on that one as he got drilled trying to deliver the football and now they face third down they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one on third down going up top he's going to let one fly down the middle and it's picked off takes it the other way he's at the 20 and he's going to take it all the way back touchdown you and that just might do it man offense needed points needed points badly defense comes up with the big interception takes it all the way back just to pad their lead a little bit and make this game almost almost Out Of Reach they'll try to add another to their lead and the extra point will tack another one onto this lead they're lining up to kick it off after the pick six and that defense will come out feeling it and they thought about a return Then thought better of it they'll bring it out to the 25 they'll put this one in play first snap of the drive from the 25 looking downfield it's Bailey fires to the tight end that's the kind of play that can really get you going as they get it out to the 36 first down here with time for maybe one more play until the two-minute warning looking to move it through the air we reached the two-minute warning and we see miracles in college football all of the time and they could use one here on second and 10 A4 wide out set trips right they'll throw again after the incompletion got his man downfield and they're getting it rolling with that play to the 4 2 yd line and there was no question in that scenario that's where the quarterback was going he knew he had his receiver in a matchup that he liked running a route where he would find himself opening nice job between those two excellent job working through the air they're finding a hole in that defense and picking up a first down and the Royals come to the line with a new set of downs pressure coming just can't pull the trigger and the quarterback is sacked get the 41 and man is that a just indictment of the day your quarterback getting drilled late in the football game this offense is sputtered they haven't found any kind of good Rhythm they haven't done things that that really gives your coach confidence and it makes you want to believe in them this offense has a lot of work to do before their next football game second down now after the sack he's looking to throw trying to get to him and here comes comes to pressure and there he goes down again the defense puts the exclamation point on the day they have had a wonderful day man doing everything great just you could tell they were dialed into what was going on and now just throw another sack in the equation hitting the quarterback being disruptive they've been all over the field and whatever they did on first and second down don't do that anymore third and very long coming up with the catch it's cousin and sure tackling there to keep him from getting to the first down marker I guess they believe the entire field is four down territory a bit of an odd choice but they'll go for it on Fourth and 12 miles slippery slide find his way and ran away from the crowd into the end zone touchdown Royals and a nice touchdown continuing to fight continuing to play this one it's pretty much over down multiple possessions this late in the football game it would take a miracle but nice job by this offense continuing to fight push the ball down the field make plays and the extra point was good about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown it bounds through the back of the end zone it'll be a Touchback the Utah offense returns ready to go back on the attack and now one of the most satisfying moments in football just watching that clock drain away while you have control of the ball Jesse this is definitely one of the best play callers right for an offensive coordinator you're getting ready to go into Victory formation so many good things happened today it seemed like everything he was dialing today David ended up working out no doubt they put a lot of highlights together put a great offensive game together complete football game they get the win on to next week at the 35 he's open and how much Running Room have they been able to find on the ground man are they diing up some guardy rushing stats now on First and 10 from the 26 on the ground it's glover a strong tackle and wrap up from the Junior and the defense is still fighting they they haven't had the day that they dreamed of but you know talking to the coaches coming into the game like they thought they had a good plan they'd be ready to attack and and and limit some of the damage this offense has done they haven't done it today though they got to go back to the drawing board figure some things out cuz this wasn't a great day happy with the situation the quarterback will take a knee we've waited so long to start the season and just the way you want to start getting that first Victory and the first games are so much fun you've been practicing against each other over and over all through camp now you get to come out start the season off 1 and0 Jesse great start it was a great start for the winning team now for the losing team obviously not the way you want to get into this season there were some mistakes with execution and guys are going to have to do a better job individually but that's why you play play the games you get to now go back to the drawing board get back on the practice field try and IR out these wrinkles it's a
