welcome to laramy Wyoming and one of the highest elevations you will find in all of college football and it is home to the Wyoming Cowboys and they have a taste for the spicy brown mustard as we wind our way toward the end of another college football season one of the Grand Traditions is paying tribute and respect to those [Applause] [Music] we looking for a gap it's Genty not much doing there he gets it to the 26 a gain of one didn't get much on first down it's second and nine they'll ride the running back and leave it with him good solid run on that one as he gets it up to the 33 yd line third down and they'll need two on this initial Drive of the game wants to throw it's Nelson got him downfield they make the stop but the sweet throwing and catches plenty to give him a first down and the Broncos come to the line with a new set of downs from the gun running back back on the Move he's drop behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three last play was a near disaster now dealing with second and 13 he's looking to throw they make the stop trying to pick up just a little bit at a time to get to that first down marker they'll try to move the chains on this third and long from the 50 now the play fake he'll pull it down [Applause] and he is not going to get there as the defense gets him on the ground we here's the handoff not much working there it'll be second and nine kept it on the ground on first down now back to the line [Music] on second down wants to throw it fires left he's got it on the Move T they'll give it to the back not much doing there he gets it to the 26 a gain of one didn't get much on first down it's second and nine5 85 on the ground it's Genty a collision and he stopped at the 27 after picking up one balls at the 27 this offense facing a third and long the playaction fake he'll throw it finds his man it's green and he surges up to the 36 yd line and they'll move the chains the offense lining up for a first first down play on third down offenses have their plays what they like in third short what they like third medium third long great job by the offense having success now it's in coming on the defense to learn their plays and try to shut it down throughout the game wide receiver shows motion looking downfield it's Nelson reacted well to the tip but just couldn't squeeze the football instead of the turnover it'll be third down trying to pick up a first down and he can't escape and down he goes well this guy's really feeling it of course last week he had two power football with the Run and he's able to bounce off one tackle for a solid pick up second and very short here for the offense and that would be the definition of first down success putting yourself in a good position it's second and inches I can do whatever I want next I can take a shot down the field I can run the football and get a new set of downs like nice first down execution he'll try to pick it up on the ground the Broncos have enough for the first first down I think to be a good third down offense guys you've got to be able to run the football you're going to come upon these third and short situations multiple times throughout the course of the year but you've got to be able to get push up front and it helps when you have a talent like that to turn around get football up after the nyd pickup on first down here's second and one and wings it incomplete that's a throw that QB would like to have back he just has to do a better job giving his receiver a chance to make the catch they'll try to pick it up on the ground and that stiff arm is a weapon for this Runner he uses it and picks up a first down and the Broncos are moving quickly down the field off the play fake on first he'll take a shot and incomplete on the Deep ball that's an example of the offensive coordinator trying to be aggressive and trying to take shot now the offense isn't able to click on that play but moving ahead in the second half it's important they continue to dial up these big plays you want to stay aggressive you want to get tested the oh so close to paying off the tip gr he had it in his hands but it falls incomplete on Third and long he's going to have to throw for it he's missed three in a row now with that last incompletion nice job by the defense they're mixing up their look they're third and long in [Applause] they'll go to the counter Play Strong run and useful picks up four out to the nine solid pick up of four on first down and second and six they move the tight end all over from the gun the running back looking for room just couldn't get away from the tackle this is the type of play that can give the offense momentum third and short from inside the 20 trying play action right down the middle it's complete and he was loose and in the open field and on his way a tremendous pickup on that one the Broncos have it with a first and 10 good pick up on the ground and they'll Mark him down at the 3 n they can really be aggressive after that last play it's second and three quarterback checking off the pull and throw off the RPO didn't pick up a lot there moved it Forward just a few they've got it at the 41 third and short trying to keep the chains moving they'll try to move the ch CH on the ground man I do not want a guy that would dance I want Square shoulders to the line of scrimmage take the snap secure the football play physical and fall forward nice job by that running back getting the first down throws to the wide out and they couldn't make the connection on the long shot the incomplete pass leaves him with second down well they're trying to attack the middle of the field that time the ball little too high for his wide receiver and it falls incomplete he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple and this offense has gotten off to a good start on third down but this is a different deal on Third and long looking for a man it's Nelson finds his man in the middle and sure tack with there to keep him from getting to the first down marker one of the things I love about got the quick completion I tell you this slot receiver he really does give his quarterback a nice option runs really good routes he's got nice hands we saw it on that last play on second down he'll fire just a short pass to the tight end the modest gain on the completion really shows why you want to run the Z [Applause] single single looking to go up top on first down fires to the big fella and a good job of coverage by that defense just a short pick up it's now second down after the short completion he's looking to throw grabbed behind the line it's greed and he's going to lose yardage he was looking everywhere for just a little grab pass in a little air and none to be found coming after him and they got him for the sack great job by the pass rush up front third and long situation go single single fast motion from the offense he's looking to throw it using the quick game that's about as close as you can get to that marker and it will be second and just a few breaths away from the first down he's looking to throw makes a connection and he's brought down after a nice game now inside the 20 first and 10 from the 18 looking to move it through the air he got it and he's into the end zone touchdown Broncos that's his second [Applause] rece go single single on the ground it's Genty not much there they'll give him one to the 14 didn't get much on first down it's second and nine the give on the inside got enough for the first down still running at the 40 and it's a first down they'll mark it at the 44 this offense lines up feeling awfully good after that big play keeping it on the ground with the running back and they picked up nine on first down it'll bring up second and [Music] short they'll run it from the gun they get him on the ground but but it's a first down man that was a good run but it was almost even better great job by the offense keep the running game going you get big chunks Like This Not only was that a big chunk it also looked like it could have gone for more oh he had it right down the middle and it just squirted right through his fingers and they missed an opportunity for a nice play on first down back to throw it's Nelson fires a ball and now it's picked off and they'll close in on him after a good return on the interception what a nice job intercepting the snowball there [Applause] the they're going to open this drive with a pass he rifles one deep down the middle that defense got gased but they finally get him to the turf at the 47 you get a play like that and you feel like you can go in and finish the deal it'll be first and 10 from just inside the 50 able to pick his way forward for a decent game before the defense gets him down after the productive first down play it's second and six some misdirection with the counter he's brought down but there's a flag on the field let's see which way that's going to go so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty offense with jumbo Personnel takes a hand off it's [Applause] Dudley and a decent gain there before the defense makes the stop if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum on Third and long hoping to throw beyond the sticks and the Freshman just threw it behind him that time third and long situations are really hard to convert the defense [Music] know off the play fake on first down working on the right oh he gave him the limp leg and an explosive play has him on the move and he gets it all the way to the 48 yd line well how about [Applause] right back to the well there to make the Stop and we' played three in this one that's the end of the quarter and boyy state has the lead and as we switch ends of the field let's take a quick look at the national rankings one more quarter to play it might be unlikely but he it's college football comebacks happen big play to start the drive a little tougher s now a crucial third down on this drive to the air it's Nelson short throw to the sideline is caught he's out of bounds and they'll move the chain for the first down and the Broncos are marching down the field he might have expected to see this DB up in his receivers kit instead nice little Zone and they pick up the first man offenses are getting so good re at seeing the holes in the zone knowing you're in zone knowing where to sit down how to make it an easy pitch and catch for the quarterback and that's what it was on third short coming to the line looking for that first down on Third and short from the 29 they'll stick to the ground looking for the marker he's up to 81 yds on the ground and that magical 1,000 yd Mark is o so close maybe this will breathe a little life into this offense which has been flatlined in the second half here's first and 10 they'll finally put the brakes on him at the three a big throw catch and run on that one the Broncos headed quickly to the line he's been so locked in it seems like any pass called is a guaranteed chunk play yeah and winning late like this in the ball game keep trusting him keep spinning you know why because stats matter late in the game he wants some postseason award Wards keep chucking it keep getting those stats they've moved it forward to the two now it's second and goal it's complete on the right [Applause] side looking for space it's Genty got to be smart patient great vision uses all of that to get to the 9 that kind of pick up on first down and you can take a shot here on second and short and I don't care if I get it by two by 20 by 30 by 40 I I just I just want to get the first down understanding the situation understanding where the sticks are doesn't have to be sexy but I got to make sure I get to that stick get to the first down Mark not much he could do there does pick up two to the 34 after picking up a couple at second and eight they'll try the run really nice stop there from this senior leader man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out ready to fire from the pistol off play action and the defense is all over the quarterback and down he goes playaction pass success has a lot to do with selling [Applause] ready break dou double they'll keep it on the ground the clock is on their side he maybe gets a yard they'll Mark him at the 29 didn't get much on first down it's second and nine nice run and and I think everybody knows he he's right there next to that 100 yd Mark 98 yards on the day and that's a mark man when you hit that Mark A lot of times and you take care of the football you win a lot of football games it's the more physical team it's the team that makes it easy makes it easier on their quarterback and they've done that [Applause] today the give to the tailb defense there to stop him after a 2yd gain to the 31 third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a doozy if they can pull it off feeling some heat and the quarterback is snowed under and I think if you're the head coach here you kind of got mixed reviews on your passing go from the gun they'll try to impose their running game and they try the middle of this defense and that is not [Music] happening guys this is a really good win for this ball Club as they put together consecutive victories and and this season that's what you got to do you got to put together good weeks build on each other build that momentum continue to grow as the season goes along yeah David it's all about building confidence and it's really important for these players to go out work hard in practice ice and see that hard work really pay itself off on game day this is a team that's really starting to believe in itself so that's going to do it for us for
