YES. AND AS YOU CAN SEE BEHIND ME, WE ARE SEEING WHAT FIRE CREWS ARE DEALING WITH. AND THAT IS FLAMES THROUGHOUT THE VEGETATION IN THIS AREA. AND THIS IS JUST ONE SIDE OF THE ROAD HERE. AND THEN AS WE GO ACROSS TOWARD THE OTHER SIDE, WE HAVE SOME FLAMES ON THE ON A HILLSIDE NEARBY. AS WELL. SO WE'RE TAKING A LOOK AT JUST HOW THIS FIRE HAS SORT OF HOPSCOTCHED AROUND THIS IMMEDIATE AREA NEAR THE COMMUNITY OF SIERRA BROOKS. AND FOR REFERENCE, WE'RE ABOUT AN HOUR NORTH OF TAHOE CITY. AND THEN JUST FOR ANYBODY WHO'S FAMILIAR WITH THE RENO AREA, AND IT'S PROXIMITY TO SIERRA BROOKS, YOU KNOW THAT THIS AREA IS ROUGHLY 45 MINUTES NORTH AND WEST OF RENO. SO THIS IS WHAT FIRE CREWS ARE DEALING WITH. I'M TAKING A LOOK AT THE VEGETATION HERE. WE HAVE SOME EVERGREEN TYPE TREES. WE HAVE SOME GENERIC VEGETATION ALONG THE SIDE OF THE ROAD HERE. AND WE'VE SEEN CREWS THROUGHOUT THIS IMMEDIATE COMMUNITY. THERE'S A STAGING AREA ABOUT A MILE AWAY FROM WHERE WE ARE AT A PARK IN SIERRA BROOKS. AND THAT'S WHERE WE'VE SEEN CAL FIRE CREWS. WE'VE SEEN U.S. FOREST SERVICE CREWS. THERE'S SOME UTILITY CREWS AS WELL. SO FAR AS WE'VE BEEN REPORTING, THIS FIRE HAS FORCED SOME EVACUATIONS OF PEOPLE WITHIN THIS COMMUNITY. BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW, WE'RE NOT SEEING HUGE NUMBERS OF PEOPLE EVACUATING FROM THEIR HOMES. AND NOW THAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED A LOT EARLIER THAN WE GOT HERE. BUT AS WE MENTIONED, I JUST ARRIVED HERE. WE'RE TAKING A LOOK AT, AGAIN, SOME OF THIS FIRE ACTIVITY THAT'S HERE. WE'RE GOING TO CONTINUE ON DOWN THE ROAD, SEE WHAT ELSE WE CAN SEE. AND THEN WE'LL REPORT BACK AS SOON AS WE CAN GET CONNECTION. JUST OUR CONNECTIVITY IS A BIT SPOTTYOTTY OUT HERE. IT IS A PRETTY REMOTE AREA. DEIRDRE AND TAHOE SOME THINGS BACK TO YOU NOW. ALL RIGHT. THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE OUT THERE. AND THERE ARE MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDERS THAT WE'VE BEEN SAYING. IT'S THE WEST SIDE OF SIERRA BROOKS ALSO PORTIONS OF ANTELOPE VALLEY. FIRE CREWS SAY THE PEOPLE IN THOSE AREAS SHOULD GET OUT IMMEDIATELY. THE FIRE IS THREATENING 286 STRUCTURES. AND AT THIS POINT, CREWS DO NOT HAVE CONTAINMENT. BUT THEY DID DROP WATER BY HELICOPTER OVERNIGHT. SO THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE AT THIS POINT UNKNOWN
