to a victory Monday edition of Winnipeg Sports Talk daily not just any victory Monday but banjo B Victory Monday as the bombers sweep the riders in the Labor Day classic in the banjo Bowl putting them three points clear of Saskatchewan in the west standing still on top and in first place based on their tiebreaker over the British Columbia lions and on to a welld deserved bye for the blue and gold before a huge home and home with the upstart Edmonton Elks in a couple of weeks but it was a lot more than just the banjo bull we had week one of the National Football League which we will get into and we had two amazing baseball games down at Blue Cross Park where the Winnipeg gold eyes came back from their one- nothing deficit came back from being down in game number two and ended up winning both games in front of a couple great crowds down at the Ballpark and moving on to the next round which begins tonight in Fargo we're going to check in with Andrew call your GM of the fish to fill us in on this next series let you know how you can get tickets and of course it's Monday that means Hammer Time Jeff Hamilton will come in and we will break down the banjo bowl and look ahead to the final five games in the stretch for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Connor is going to jump on with us as we like to do during NFL season at around 220 230 we'll uh kick around the uh winners and losers weekend and labor classic was Unreal and I mean I was at the Ballpark Friday night I was at the banjo bowl and then I jumped on the blue line went straight downtown and went to the ballpark for the game on Saturday night and then obviously had a great NFL Sunday so this is going to be a fun show great to have you all with us um we'll have a new episode of CFL 110 coming up on on Wednesday that with the gold eyes first half of that game wasn't a great you know wasn't going well guys are getting picked off first base but how they rally to come back and win game one before winning game two on Saturday and yeah I mean the banjo Bowl I mean 20 years I can't believe it and uh what a great you know marketing Venture that's been for the bombers saying hey uh you know we they Riders have the Labor Day classic we got to promote you know the rematch and the banable I mean it just brings everyone out sold out yet again uh fans are getting crazier and crazier every year here and the bombers continuing to win continuing to be on top of the West Division uh big win uh to sweep the two game set here against the skatan on Saturday and yeah NFL uh kicking off it's great and oh yeah we'll have some hockey young stars on the ice later this week so great time yeah yeah listen not a lot of hockey today although I know many of you I these people in chat Gregory and more mentioning the uh uh the service this morning uh for funeral for Johnny gdo and Matthew it's still still doesn't seem real and it's going to be so sad to see the season gets started and you know we'll have some tributes to to to Johnny for sure in Columbus and in Calgary um but U that did happen this morning it did look like a very uh very nice service which uh you know you'd expect it would be but a lot of Sorrow around the hockey world mourning the passing of uh of Johnny and MD gajo um as I said we'll dive into to Jets young Stars uh rookie camp and whatnot coming up in a couple days when they all get to uh get to the peg uh but today is going to be a lot of football and by the way I know we mentioned the gold eyes winning and the bombers winning just before we dive too much more into the banjo ball we got to give a shout out to the Bison the Bison rolled into UBC one of the top ranked teams in the league and thump them 30 3 to10 ream the first time the Bison had won UBC in 11 years they are now 2-0 in the season on top of Canada West with ranked V with victories over ranked teams in the first two weeks and you know we're going to stay on top of this we'll have to get coach Doby on one of these days coming up soon but it it is so great to see I mean I've always been a big supporter of the bis but this is a special year with Coach Doby having his final season and what a way to start it off for the brown and gold getting that win and being 2 and 0 against Real solid competition in Do's final campaign as the leader of the herd yeah I was uh surprised to see that you know going to be his last year but they're off to a great start in the homecoming game hus Saturday September 14 so the bombers are on a buy but the Bison will be taking over Princess Auto Stadium on Saturday so real nice to see them uh get off to a hot start beating some uh impressive competition there yeah so uh anys props to the Bison who got in the winning Spirit as well though they uh they did it on the road um well we've got to start off with the banjo bow um 2621 mik oay makes history and I and you know Remo you know I've been talking about this for about a month the scenario where potentially the bombers could put mik o Shay into history as the winningest coach of bomber in the ever for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers if they had beaten Hamilton if they could win the Labor Day game then this would have been the case and I mean I don't know whether we kind of manifested it on the program but it was exactly as expected the absolute perfect scenario perfect afternoon perfect opponent to have Mike kosa and the winnter Pig Blue Bombers do what they did um a great game and uh one that we I kind of thought that we would see you know I mean two very close teams battling it out mistakes um you know could very well be the difference and uh well win a pig blue bomber is just a bit better the defense stepping up Trey Ford brilliant again with the game-winning pick to ice it um after the game despite mik oay probably wishing other wise uh all the platitudes were for a guy that has come here put the shorts on and done what no bomber head coach has ever done and that is Win 103 victories uh part of a real Renaissance if you will or dynasty of blue bomber football Al though it would have been nice to win one of the last two great cups that they didn't get but the standard that has been said is unlike any other right now in the Canadian football league and Michael Shay has been the leader of it yeah it's not like it's been all roses since the start has got off to a very Rocky beginning and I remember watching the bombers lose to Calgary one year in the playoffs this other semi-final I was like yeah you know wouldn't it be nice to have a successful team here like Calgary had for so many years maybe they wish they had a couple extra great cups but they've definitely uh built that this run of success I think we're almost taking it for granted how unprecedented it is I mean 103 wi wins as a head coach most in history I mean passing by Grant who has a statue outside the stadium and there were a lot of jokes being made I know to Miko Shay and about him making you know already building one for him he obviously you know doesn't like any praise doesn't like talking about himself but um I mean history was certainly made and yeah what a way to do it over your rival the Rough Riders and it does make you sit back and like it feels like him and Kyle Walters just arrived almost but it's been a while and the success has been I mean amazing to watch you'd probably like to see you know one of the last two great cups go in their favor but making it to four straight an accomplishment and now has since week eight they've gone five and0 and we were here saying oh 0 and4 the bombers done you know you know is this the end of a dynasty whatever it is and here they are back first in the west division with the possibility of a home playoff game or even getting the buy which I don't think we had even considered in August no uh and again you know BC had a massive win uh for them in Montreal on Friday night which means that the bombers and BC are still tied on the top of the division but the bombers do have the tiebreaker you know if Montreal was able to win the bombers would be sitting pretty right now with basically a two game lead over both Saskatchewan and BC they've got it over Saskatchewan they don't over BC and you'd have to really think that at this point with how few games there are remaining in the regular season this is going to be a five game race between Winnipeg and British Columbia for Western uh for the Western Division title uh and most importantly home field in the west final for a trip to Vancouver and the gr cup much like last year I think that not that the bombers haven't beaten BC in the dome before they have they have been success uccessful there but I really do think that you know November in Winnipeg playoff football Outdoors is the uh is the is the best route for Winnipeg to make it back to the great cup um so the race for first is on and uh we'll go from there I I have to say Remo that was one of the best bomber crowds I have ever been a part of and listen I've been to most of the games over the course of well frankly the last 25 years even longer um there's been some really special moments in the stadium I mean the first game back postco was amazing um you know the crowds in the west final particularly this really cold game against the against the Riders would be right up there but holy smokes I mean sometimes the Stadium's really full but you know lots of people are partying and maybe not in the seats and maybe not necessarily as engaged as others are the second half was as loud as I can remember it I believe Greg said that the the game-winning pick the uh the number went to 111 DB in the stadium uh but the fans were such a big part of it you know making it difficult for Saskatchewan to do much certainly to communicate with each other and uh it was a fitting way for mikoa to get go into that because of how big I think this fan base has been a part of these 103 victories and to do it against the Riders uh could have been much better but I mean hats off to everyone that packed that Stadium shout out to the Ryder fans there wasn't a ton of them but the ones that were there were having a good time but uh that was that was what it's all about for CFL football in the Prairies over these last couple weeks and uh the bombers did the job as did their fans in the stands yeah and if you were to show someone you know what the Canadian Football League was all about maybe they're from uh the states um you know or maybe you're from you're not really a follower uh show them this game show them this crowd show them how you know all all the fans how engaged they are how much they get behind the bombers and I think you certainly have a blueprint for a healthy league if know every team is like know like the bombers here with the success that they've had other teams having success too I know Montreal had a sellout uh over the weekend S scatch one always brings it Edmonton you know with they're actually starting to win games maybe the fans I'll show up a bit more there and that's the bombers next opponent but uh they continue to raise the bar uh this fan base for support and team has been you know doing very well financially the last couple years and you know winning certainly helps that but you you know they have all the support here all the time and the players spoke about you know how much they enjoy playing in front of them listen kind of before we dive into uh the you know leaders and kind of breaking down the game the aftermath of it I want to get to this why not question of the day for not autoc Corp at Waverly and mcgilvery um early and this is not necessarily have anything to do with the game as it was played but Remo and everyone in chat fair or foul having a wedding in Winnipeg on Banjo bow day what time uh well I mean usually at usually those things are in the afternoon no I had I know I know see the reason I bring this up is I I rode the bus the blue line from the stadium to the ballpark with a quick stop at the Garrick hotel for a gold one with none other than isab boy Bruce and he was mentioning I just see him mentioned in chat he was down with Wayne bretzky going tarps off in section 141 because Tyson another regular wst and regular in the stadium had to miss the biggest game of the year because he was at a wedding and someone else had mentioned that there was a wedding and that was why they couldn't go to and I talked to them on Sundays after the fact and they did say the people having the wedding were getting roasted uh when the speeches were going on many thoughts of oh what a what a day for what a day for a wedding um there's obviously nothing else going on in Winnipeg today um how did you manage to find anywhere that would be able to have it on a day like today and then going on and on about it um I would suggest if you're in Winnipeg avoiding the Saturday of the banjo Bowl maybe do it a Friday night if you will uh but nevertheless congratulations to anyone um but I would be interested in your thoughts on whether you would go to the wedding or whether you would be finding any reason that maybe it just didn't work out for you and you had to be at the banjo Bowl on Saturday it seemed like there uh they didn't have any issues filling the place that's for sure even with maybe a few people missing for a wedding um let us know in chat have some fun with that one as far as the game goes re um this was a workmanlike effort by the bombers I'm going to give Trevor Harris and Saskatchewan credit when you think about the way those first two drives went for Saskatchewan with the block punt in the pick and the bombers getting up the way they did I thought we might be drifting towards last year's Massacre that happened in the banjo bll um but you know what a skatan I thought steady themselves dealt with so much I mean the noise was was deafening as we've talked about um and they did move the football well at times and then they got the touchdown early in the second half and you realize okay we got a game here um but I can't say enough about the blue bomber defense which has you know continued to grow throughout this season they have been playing for my money at an elite level for the better part of the last two months the reason why this team's been able to Rattle off these five games in a row um and they stood up big time especially in the third or especially in the fourth quarter um as they were able to control field position and uh and not let the Riders get any momentum into a comeback yeah one thing we always talk about is win the turnover battle you'll win the game and Zach Claris this season he's had some issues with some ill-advised throws you know turning it over in in the scoring areas uh didn't have that on Saturday there were only two turnovers in the game both of them thrown by Trevor Harris both of them caught by Tyrell Ford and what an incredible season he has leading the league he's among the league leaders he's tied six in interceptions uh he's really come on strong and part of the reason why this bombers defense has been so good uh since the slow start and yeah for Zach I he did what you asked I the numbers not spectacular 24 of 31 he did throw for a touchdown but no interceptions and you know the bombers getting those two takeaways absolutely huge and you know the drive where he led them after the Chris drer was injured I thought that was the turning point of the game for the bombers able to take advantage of that penalty yeah no there's uh there's no doubt we'll get to the strer play um you know when we talk about with Greg he left or with Jeff I should say he did leave the game with injury after getting hit by Guess Who miles Brown we haven't had an update on Chris strer but str's out for any significant period of time you do wonder whether the Blue Bombers at a quarterback or look to do that and just a quick thought on Tyrell Ford who has been the number one ranked corner and right up there with the top ranked defensive players in the league all season long through the PFF ratings absolutely brilliant game and Remo of course these next two games are against the Elks Trey Ford has been named as the starter so we will have twin versus twin brother versus brother going at it and I got to tell you I'm already looking forward to talking to Patty and Jake over at kolette and getting a prop up for our Ford to pick off their Ford in that game against the Elks oh man uh has that happened I'm not sure but I'm going to be betting that it does we're you know Ford's going to want to throw at his brother too I mean I have a feeling that there will be a little bit of sibling rivalry when that comes in he won't be shying away from him because he's scared of throwing to him I'll tell you that well then I mean then what you're throwing against Dietrich Nichols that's a tough uh tough sell as well I gota be honest I you know I was kind of surprised that they went back with Trey Ford uh a quarterback there bethl Thompson I'm not a huge fan but he's played well uh this year and um I guess they said hey you know we played Calgary two games and they stink we we are not taking those numbers too seriously uh but show out to the Elks who put them in position to get back into the playoffs here taking advantage of uh of Calgary I think they had like eight eight turnovers in those two games did not go well Calgary someone mentioned was ba split mentioned that Calgary was clearly trying to tank here to get Curtis RoR in the draft by playing Jake Mayer's backup who did not do very well on the weekend I'm I'm quite confident that we can go to Calgary and we can cross them off I'm I feel with great confidence to say that these Stamps will not be part of the postseason party they're I think the bombers and bombers and lions are going to be there and I think it's going to be a battle between Edmonton and Saskatchewan for that final spot right now as we uh as we come down the stretch um listen we're going to hear from mik oay uh in just a moment do not forget gang CFL 110 coming up on Wednesday myself and Jeff Hamilton so much to get to coming out of whether his statue is going to have be wearing shorts or not uh but mik OA was asked about becoming the franchise leader of coaching wins for the bombers and of course a big win over their Arch rivals in the banjo Bowl Zach mentioned something about the work has begun on the Statue any inside information on that well I know you're pulling my leg no he didn't say that he he did say yeah cuz he know he's was going to piss me off yes his bye is canceled congratulations thank you appreciate it uh this game seemed to test everything across the board your team how would you say you reacted to the test uh yeah we won and I thought it was gritty and I thought uh you know I think I've been saying this a lot lately um not to the media but I think things just are happening right on time and you know if we play a little bit better it doesn't have to be right on time you know but that that that pick by Tyrell you know right on time you know um so everything you know all three phases were you know good in fits and spurts right right and it just adds up at the end um but yeah I think they're going to enjoy this one yeah well they certainly will and of course with the bye that win well the sweep of the Riders probably feels even better um Chris trer was hurt um courtesy of Miles Brown again he wasn't happy about it the coach was asked about that after the game I believe it's on the knee um but other than that I I said it on the radio I don't think it's I love all our guys I don't want to see anybody hurt I don't want to see anybody hurt as a result of a penalty especially um but I also you know I'm I'm standing up here and trying to embarrass the league or anything like that is not not not asking you to the player though for it to be two weeks in a row any any thoughts on yeah I have no thoughts about that player all my thoughts are with Chris strer and how he's feeling yeah yeah I wouldn't never waste time with that yeah he's not he's not on our team yeah how's Chris we'll see yeah upset obviously yeah yeah upset to say the least as anyone that was in that Stadium could uh see he was Spitting Fire as he was getting helped off the field and that will be concerning uh if he is lost to the bombers for any extended period of time um Tyrell Ford continues to have a breakout season sixth pick of the year and one that iced it to win the game here's what mik o Shay had to say about his young corner you know what honestly it's funny cuz I don't think anybody's counting you know just keep getting better play hard fix you know work on the work on the things you need to work on like work on your inefficiencies right um or deficiencies depending on how you look at it so that the play on the kickoff where he goes all the way to the sideline and then lines up on defense and he's huffing and puffing and just I think it's a great Testament to his desire to to do well you know and to do well for his teammates I think it's pretty cool but he does he does I think he's done a great job this year of of just taking instruction and trying to apply it immediately and I mean he had his hands on a third one in between the two picks that I bet he wishes see had but I mean it was a great play great coverage on his part too so um yeah I don't think there's a a real limit as long as he wants to keep learning yeah I mean Ford continues to have a monster season I'm glad the coach mentioned that special teams play where he went all the way across with Incredible speed to uh limit any significant ride or return was another big play and then as coach said just right back out there on the next rep to uh cover the top receivers on Saskatchewan um Brady Olivera I thought had a real strong game the weird thing was most of his yards actually seem to come on screen passes as opposed to uh on the on the ground 11 yards for 43 11 rushes for 43 yards six catches for 60 still going over a 100 total a big part of the game ohay talked about Brady's game but also very bizarre stat of being without a rushing touchdown this season you know regardless of position he's just he's phenomal he can do it all for us um and you know over time he'll get to the point where that conversation a touchdown won't matter right and and we're really close to that right he's excited about the win and excited about all the things that um that he has a hand in cuz he he there's a you know they do that stat about percentage of offense or whatever but that doesn't include the blocking or the you know picking up with the protections the blitz seeing something and fixing things right you add in that and he's the percentage is double that right like it's amazing and and he's he's a he's a great kid and phenomenal player for us all right and uh I mean listen it's just it's the hair of Shawn Maguire dep pacle all over again you know um I I put it this way I have not been investing in Brady touchdown props this year and that's probably a good thing because you absolutely know that around the goal line up until this point we'll see what's up with strer but it's been 17 that's been getting it it's been working well and at a certain point this is what this team is so good at it's not about personal stats everyone knows how good and important Brady Olivera is probably freeze him up with a few less hits on him to do more damage to get them down to the goal line if a guy like strer is going to put in in yeah I mean the CFL it's automatic from the one when you put the backup QB in for the plunge so I think yeah that just the way that it is if you're a running back it's tough to you're not going to get those goal line TDS so Brady's having an awesome season running the ball he's second in the league 894 rush yards on 158 carries that's a 5.66 average and he's getting it done in the receiving game as well he's got 365 yards on 44 catches I'm sure he'll reach the end zone at some point if he doesn't well the bombers uh they're winning they're in first place I don't think he's too concerned about the personal numbers he got his uh what most outstanding Canadian nod last year was nominated for most outstanding player um he'll be okay I don't think there's I don't think there's anything to worry about he doesn't have a one beside the touchdown column uh as I mentioned it was one of the greatest crowds in bomber history I don't think there's any question about that I'm just talked about the atmosphere in that Stadium on Saturday afternoon fantastic as always yeah it doesn't need to be you know I was driving in I thought oh boy this is going to be a lot busier cuz a banjo bowl and you realize well it's the same sellout that we've had before so it' be the same number of cars and the same people tailgating and the same whatever now there's a little more they showed up a little earlier maybe you know um it's hard not to Veer left into that first tailgate area you know on the way in looks pretty good um they probably psyched if you did yeah I might not make it out but uh no it's they're loud um I thought Saskatchewan was pretty pretty damn good with their operation um you know it's not easy place to play and and our fans make it as such so that's pretty cool all right so there's from O'Shea and uh he was not kidding uh Princess Auto tailgates own absolute Madness before the game and uh that's the way he'd want it on the Bano ball all right Hammer's coming up one more from Coach O sh though uh Ed Tate asked Mike about um you know passing Bud Grant and becoming um the winningest coach in blue bomber history in the history of the franchise a pretty big honor Mike apologies if you ask this before I get in but can you talk about passing Bud Granton uh I have not been asked you want my real answer if I can talk about it is that what you mean now the answer is no we've talked a lot about it already um once again there's just so many people you know that have been here for that huge chunk of it right that make it very easy every single day not only to be successful but to come to work just every single day right I mean you know my wife standing right there my my family's been there for all of it right the 60s something losses right that they feel too so um yeah it's it is what it is over time these numbers just add up but I don't think we're a numbers based team you know we're a process based team and we've got a a room a whole basement full of people that are all in on the process and the outcomes are um you know they just happen right not sure you spend a whole lot of time reminiscing but can you think about when you first walked into the building to get this job and here we are and just what's happened in all this time it's yeah I haven't really gave it much thought I know the questions are somewhat easier than they were the first couple years but uh that might have to do with the Personnel asking so all right the always humble coach O'Shea now at 103 passing Bud Grant is the winnings coach in the main event another win over the Saskatchewan ru Riders at the banjo bow that was a scene on Saturday night at Princess Auto Stadium Hammer yeah it was you know I the gauge that I use now for these games when I when I put it in the upper echelon of of how Wild Games get is uh I can't hear the game I listen to CJ OB I listen to Derrik Taylor called the game I also have TSN on another thing and usually I can at least hear you know DT and Doug faintly in my in my um in my earbuds when when things are are at its craziest but it wasn't even worth it in that game it just seemed like it was impossible I could barely pick things up so I I just I gave up at some point but certainly with everything heading into that game you know the the Rivalry where both teams are in the standings where both teams are trending it was certainly uh it certainly was the affair that I think many expected and uh you know a tight one for the bers though I don't think a lot of people predicted that I think people looked at at at the Rough Riders and their Bang up o line and thought it was going to be a cakewalk but certainly wasn't but it was still a victory for the bombers and keep Pace it first in the west here we are heading to the Real Time of the Season yeah I mean I felt good about the bombers going into the game but I kind of saw there'd be two possible scenarios the scenario that we saw which was kind of what you'd expect from two relatively evenly matched teams I mean playing close like they have in their other matchups well into the fourth quarter but this is a different beast and there's always the potential like last year that you know the home team can get on a bit of a roll and it's just an avalanche and I'll be honest dude when Willie Jefferson got his hand on that football early and you got that pick and the bombers scored in the first two possessions you really thought that okay this could be that Avalanche but credit to Trevor Harris and the Saskatchewan Rough Riders they they you know nutted up when they needed to they got that touchdown got back into the game and then obviously had a nice start to the second half and we're right there in that football game until the bomber and particularly the bomber defense was able to uh you know use that crowd I think to get them over the hump in the fourth quarter yeah I'm with you like you know the previous four banjo bues have been the bombers had dominated by a combined score somewhere around 173 to 45 I believe I'm correcting those numbers uh if not they're super close so you know including what I believe was a 516 blowout last year you know that that year where a lot of people thought it was the the game where the Riders showed up sick no that was the year before that last season where it was still a Beatdown but it wasn't it wasn't to that margin and you know so when you saw those you know I'm with you when you saw kind of Willie Jefferson looked like he was going to be Willie And Willie Jefferson stayed that way for much of the game maybe not making as critical you know of plays as as getting his hand on a blocked punt and you know a knockdown really early uh I thought the defense kind of took took over there I mean you know you look at what happened with Chris strer in the game I think that was a you know an emotional reset for for Winnipeg it looked like it was you know much not say much like Stanley Bryant that was a different situation but I think that in a way fired up the Riders you know I think the Riders were you know tired of you know adding to the frustration of already being mired in a in a six-game winless streak um but yeah at the end of the day the the bombers pulled it out I you know I didn't think it was all all that threatening near the end but you know this league anything can turn on a dime and it was about playing you know playing uh smart football and and you know it's kind of poetic for for the way to for the game to end the way it did with Tyrell Ford Pi picking off his uh his second interception of the game and what's been a terrific season for the for the young DB yeah he we were just talking about I mean he seems to get better each and every week and I cannot wait to see him go up against his brother in that home and home coming up in a couple weeks when the bomber bombers get back from the buy let's talk about the strer hit um listen we spent a lot of time on this program and on CFL 110 talking about protecting quarterbacks I mean uh where do you come out on this one it was very clear that Chris drer was uh not a uh not a fan of what happened to him and obviously was in a pretty bad State um to keep him out of the rest of the game yeah I clearly would have loved to talk to Chris after the game to see exactly what he was mad at I mean clearly I you know I understand he's mad at the hit and certainly mad at the result of the hit um which I'm sure isn't isn't isn't good um but at the same time I mean to me um I don't know like it's easy to kind of look at the one the week before and go that was cheap uh you know head it was a head shot the penalty didn't you know didn't match the crime in the sense that Zack Claris was out of the game and and of course miles Brown didn't even get a penal really didn't even get a penalty after the defensive pass interference call In The End Zone it uh it rendered the is roughing the passer penalty moot um but in this one you know I I don't like the low hit I'll uh I'll go with mik o Shay's comments after the game because I thought they were astute in the sense that you never want to see guys hurt and you particularly don't want to see guys injured hurt on a play that results in a penalty and while you know it was a low hit you're not supposed to you know come at quarterbacks that low I mean you just had to watch last night's NFL game to get a comparison on how they call call hits I mean I mean there's been there was a couple throughout the day where where you know video replay showed showed uh you know the the defender not even touching the quarterback really and getting called so you know I I I think it's disappointing for the bombers um but at the end of the day I I don't know if I put it in the same category as Chap and you know that's talking to players after the game as well I mean he is falling down I think you can make the argument that you know see and that's the part where you'd love to talk to Chris trer about because I don't know what happens in that moment where he's now wrapped around him like did Chris feel like he grabbed onto his knee particularly or his leg or you know those are the kind of details you don't really pick up from the replay but um you know talking to a handful of guys in the locker room afterwards there certainly wasn't the same level of angst as there was with the head shot to Claris now that wasn't to say suggest they didn't feel for their teammate or it didn't bother them that you know that it happened and certainly the jaw jacking from the Riders did not help um you know afterwards you know it was a two-way street obviously you know Winnipeg was was was also throwing their verbal Jabs but not no one really saw it as a blatant you know you know dirty intent to injure shot yeah the uh well at some point we'll hear from from strav and first and foremost hopefully we'll hear that you know he won't be gone if he's out for any significant per significant period of Time how do you think the bombers handle that yeah it's an interesting question yeah you know they're being really quiet about this one hus um which tells me that it's not good um I don't you know usually if a guy's healthy or he's good to go or he's bouncing back or it's just something small usually those details trickle out you know like he'll be you know he'll be okay I think people want to know that Chris streveler is okay that's you know everyone knows the relationship that the fans have with the player and the player you know of course back with the fans and how how well he's loved here um it doesn't sound good to me I don't have any specific details for you I don't know what if anything was torn but the feeling I get is not a good one I have a worse feeling about this one than the Adam big hill and I've been talking about Adam big hill not playing the rest of the season all year um I just I lack some of the the finer details of of what the injury could be of course we saw Chris strer you know hopping away I don't know if that's a good sign or a or a bad sign and you mean clearly his knees messed up but he didn't have a problem kind of jaw jacking you know the other team during that you know what I'm sure was an adrenaline filled moment but uh he did hang out on the he was on the sideline helping them out so maybe that's a good news but again you know the the information I'm receiving is just it's it doesn't look great but to answer your question um I I think that the bombers you know a name that has been tossed out in the past especially when they were looking for short yardage QB someone that mik o Shay is is D suggest high on is Taylor Cornelius former Edmond tanell Taylor Cornelius um you know not as a guy to take over the the offense necessarily anytime soon obviously but a guy to do that job um to to you know be the short yardage guy that being said Terry Wilson was fine in relief do I thought he did I'm less worried about the short yardage quarterback then what happens if Zach gets hurt and who's going to go and play and move your I mean so maybe Taylor Cornelius still falls into that category obviously as somebody who has experience you know I you know obviously his time in Edmonton was forgettable in a lot of different ways he you know struggled to get wins you know he but um but he does have that experience and I think that's what that's really what all you can ask for in your backup is that he you know he knows this game and that you know he can he can do the job I mean I don't think a lot of people would have you know say Zach goes down I don't think a lot of people look at Chris strer and say all of a sudden that you know the bombers aren't going to miss a step we saw you know we saw we know what Chris trer can actually we don't really know what CH trer can do because we never really saw him um you know throw the ball and the irony and all that is they finally call a throwing play for him and he gets injured so um we'll see what happens here but you know they're goingon to have to bring in help if it is a long-term injury it's feeling that way and and Taylor Cornelius is a guy that comes to to mind um as someone who they might be might be interested like I I was kind of thinking about like just around the league Len I don't think BC's giving up VA I don't think think Edmonton is going to move off of MBT even though Trey Ford is going to be starting you sort of have to look at the teams that are seemingly out of it and I I have personally crossed Calgary off the list I'm sure they have not done that yet because it's not like they're that far back they just don't look good enough to compete with anybody else in the west right now not even close yeah but I mean what about a team like Hamilton might they have a quarterback that could come in and be a pretty good number to it a guy that you could lean on and put in a game if you had to if Zack KERO got hurt so are you talking about Bo Levi Mitchell us or you talking about Taylor Powell who's not back yet like tell you they're not getting rid of tlor and I don't think that PO Levi Mitchell is going to come in as some you know backup option I think he'd rather ride it out oh I shouldn't speak for him I have no idea what his opinion would be but just given the season that he's had could they be interested in acquiring him I mean the the logic is there absolutely like the logic is there for him to be a backup I just don't know if he's going to be available and and what and at what you know if the bombers would be willing to you know we know how Mike kosay is you know Mike ket's loyalty is probably higher to Terry Wilson than anybody else in the league right now it would probably take some massive convincing to even pull off such a trade I just I can't see it happening and the interesting part two is and I know this might sound a little bit weird but I think they might be turned off by the distraction of Bo Levi Mitchell you know as being a guy who like you know is you know has been the been the face of a franchise for much of his career to come in here and be you know the Undisputed backup you know behind Zach keris and just kind of hang out I think Bo likes a little bit of the you know I think he likes the fact that he's kind of the guy there still even though he's gone through a rocky relationship with with head coach Scott milanovich this season I just you know it's intriguing it's interesting it's certainly not something that I I put much thought into but as I continue to kind of create this word Sol coming out of my mouth I I'm I'm trying to convince myself if it would even be possible and I'm having a hard time doing it uh would love to hear your thoughts in the chat uh bonus why not question of the day for non autocorp at Waverly and mcgilvery let me some chat in the league right now who uh you know if you're Kyle Walters and Chris trer is going to be out for a significant period of time who are you poking around who would you like to come in as a backup to Zach keros even if Terry Wilson just kind of takes over the short yardage I would have no issue with with that as well you do need to have a contingency plan if Zach gets hurt he's already been hurt a couple times this year and we all know there's no guarantees in football let us know I will say this I think you're sort of right on question to though can I give you my who let me just finish just about both I do sort of think that he might rather to be in front of the camera on the TSN panel than he would be carrying a clipboard albe on a good team that'll have a chance to win the great cup but uh yeah also moving his family to I'm doubt his family would come with him but he's got a really tight family two young girls yeah I just think he's probably you know he's done his Biz I don't even know of what the interest would be there what but the answer I was going to say which is never going to happen because here's the other thing nobody and I mean absolutely nobody in this entire league I don't care about the strong relationships and the close-knit community that the CFL is is going to help out the bombers is going to is going to be like hey man just in case you're quarterback who's you know dealt with some inconsistency and some injuries here here you go have have our you know best of best of our number two despite where they are in the playoffs and Hamilton well yeah I think we can I think we can make the argument here that they're not going to make the playoffs they certainly don't have that mindset that would be a vote of confidence against their pursuit of a playoff spot which would I think hurt maybe some of the play in the rest of their their team but the answer that I have if all things were equal and it would never ever happen great fit for a guy like Jeremiah moli I think that would be a really cool opportunity in Winnipeg uh clearly he has a relationship a friendship with Zach keris he's you know it's the Drew Brown Show there and and um you know clearly that's the future he's done a bang up job um he's also been banged up this year is probably a big reason why you hold on to a guy like Jeremiah moule but you also have Dustin Dustin crumb in there as well another young guy and you know I don't think Jeremiah mol is the future he doesn't appear to be the present but at the same time if you're Ottawa and you have the record that you have and you're nipping at the heels of the first place bunch of aletes it's probably not a good idea to get rid of your veteran QB hand him over to the A Team in the west who you you could very well end up facing and and would not want to have a and a leader like that in Jeremiah moui 2o just the guy you want in a locker room that would be a benefit regardless if he was in Winnipeg or or you know I think and you know Leslie MDU mentioned that in chat as well I mean I think you're you're on to it I mean moli comes in we saw him get a chance to start and you know led the red blacks back to win on the road in Calgary a few weeks ago and I also think he'd be a guy that would come in and would fit seamlessly into like because you are right I mean b Levi has sort of this big personality he's got a big history I don't think anyone would be saying oh do we have a quarterback controversy but it might take one bad game for Zach and all of a sudden that would be a topic you looking you'd be looking at BO Levi Mitchell the guy who was the Zack CL before Zack keris took over B Levi Mitchell spot it would just be a busy it'd be a busy quarterback room and and while I you know I want to pull back on some comments I don't think that Bo Levi Mitchell is like a bad teammate or would be a distraction per se but Bo's also at that stage in his career where if something's bothering him or he wants to talk or pop off about something he's not going to hesitate to do it and and while you know I certainly appreciate that about the player I don't know if it would be necessarily you know the Winnipeg way if you will I I guess the one thing I'll say is if Chris trer is out and to be honest even if he's not out for a long time I don't think it would be a bad call if the Winnipeg Blue Bombers got somebody else with some significant CFL experience in that quarterback room um because you never know if you're going to need it it would be great to be able to say Zach's playing the whole way but there's no guarantees we mentioned he's been roughed up a couple times but this season and um if the bombers do want to you know achieve their goals which is winning another gr cup I mean you never know what adversity you're going to be put forth and I mean that's going to be something especially when we hear what the official diagnosis is for strer and how long he's going to be out I think there'll be a lot of attention on what Kyle Walters is up to and how that might work um back to the game for a minute and you know I I thought that this was just a perfect example of how well rounded of a football team the winipeg Blue Bombers are I mean there wasn't any area of the game that just completely overwhelmed Saskatchewan I mean the offense was good Saskatchewan had some nice drives as well obviously the turnovers and the defense was a big part of it but special teams special teams to be honest was seem to be the difference in the Labor Day game and I'll make the argument that the Willie J punt block and another perfect day for Sergio Castillo going four for four was basically once again the reason why the bombers won a game that was a onore foot football game well yeah I mean the the unheralded um efforts of the Special Teams whether it's as you mentioned the the the field goal kicking from Sergio Castillo which has been not just not just terrific this season but there really doesn't seem to be a range uh for him you know with what they've been asking him to do and then there's the field position part of it right Jameson Sheen deserves a ton of credit yeah um you know for his punting abilities for his directional punting for the you know the different skill set that he brings in that kicking game and you know I said this on the show last week hus I'll say it again this week you can't talk about Jameson shien and Sergio Castillo without talking about Long Snapper Mike Benson you know those three those three in you know three in the tree are are three guys that get along really well they're very supportive of one another and and they're an effective their effective group I think you know even even if you want to go into the returns you know it would be and it's funny too hus and I I have to say this real quick is that you know you know you mentioned it's like the well-rounded bombers well to bombers fans well-rounded meant dominating in all three phases you had Jian Grant returning kicks you had Sergio Castillo kicking balls you had the offense lighting up every defense and you had the defense lighting up every offense but I get your point in this and that's kind of you know with this group here I'll even give credit to Lucky Whitehead the last couple games the problem isn't you know and and I I say the problem is the solution or the issue has been um has uh has been tough returning but the solution has been lucky whad in the last couple games he's he shown up on time as as as as Michael Shay likes to to referred to it as you know with that big return that set up a field goal in the Labor Day classic that put them up by eight not five and then another one that moved them from two to five forcing them to have a touchdown Drive we're both set up by by good returns from Lucky Whitehead now I don't I still think there's massive areas of improvement for there I I do think it will be disappointing when all said and done I don't think we're trending that direction I don't think the bombers are trending that direction and that they're going to find you know a veteran Return Man I think they're going to continue this in-house that could always change of course but um but I I do think it will be disappointing if this team doesn't go out and get a game changer and returner lucky Whitehead is a contributor on offense I like what he brings to the offense I like the the you know the unique skill set the swing passes those kind of things um but I think they need some Dynamic returning and um that's really the one thing missing in special teams as far as the rounding around you know the rounding or complimentary play I still think there can be more to be asked for from the offense of course I you know one of the biggest takeaways I took from that game last week was that their best players were their best players finally and that's that's not you know I put Tyrell forward as one of their best players up there I know you know he's been consistent all season so he's kind of the exception but finally Willie Jefferson had a massive game I'm not saying he hasn't had an impact in games but he was a presence you know for throughout much of the game Kenny Lawler hasn't really you know I Kenny Lawler's a great receiver and he's going to continue to be a great receiver but he hadn't done much and all of a sudden he gets them on the on the board um with a touchdown I think that was the fourth of four straight passes to him on that drive uh and he dropped one earlier in the game so you know it's nice to see that connection between Zach klaris and and um you know and and Kenny and and and Kenny obviously so uh also Brady Olivera right still no touchdown still no touchdown and don't think for a second that this guy is it isn't gnawing at him you know he is not you know with all due respect to Brady he is not the mro of football players Brady you know he works hard there's no question about his work ethic and that's the reason why he's the guy that he is is because he puts the work in he likes to get the benefits of it and while he certainly is not upset with his usage is upset with his roles I'm sure he'd love the ball you know more every single guy on that roster if he's not saying he wants the ball more shouldn't be on the team um but he's getting it done on time again you know big moments you need a big play you need a big run you need a big momentum boost there is number 20 uh getting the job done so uh that was the big one of the bigger takeaways for me is just the best players the highest paid players on this team we're be you know we're playing and um you know we're we're living up to their expectations if you will well what about Zach I mean how did you make I just about to walk into that one and I know you know I don't have the chat in front of me but I'm sure some people are throwing out colaris ClariS ClariS and I and I agree I certainly think Zach needs to be you know can still be better right I mean this is it but when you factor in that Brady doesn't have any touchdowns you know Kenny Lawler only has two touchdowns on the year um I'm not making excuses certainly not making excuses but um but yeah I mean this is I guess this is the the Silver Lining if you will I think Zach's been better the last couple weeks certainly the last month I think he's trending in the right direction he's not that same guy who's throwing three you know three sometimes four touchdown passes a game but he has been moving the he has been moving the ball now there was some hiccups in that last game I thought they were behind the chain Zach even said it for for a good chunk of the middle parts of the game um but over the last month I'd say his body of work is better with the rest of the offense the old Line's getting healthier uh they're moving the ball and if you can't you know you can rely on Sergio Cal you don't want to rely on on field goals but even when you're not getting into field goal range as long as you're not pumping out a bunch of two and outs two and outs two and outs um you know you can control parts of the game and I feel like that's been the biggest difference so the first part of the season the first half of the season if you will I felt like it was far too often that the the bombers were putting themselves in in tough second down positions obviously more often than not second and long and weren't converting and were just giving the ball back and so they were really not they really weren't giving their defense the the the break that that defenses need to excel in games and uh I just think it's been a bit of a different story over the last month even if there is like I said over and over again uh more work to be done yeah listen I mean from my take on Zach um he's doing what is being being asked of him right now this has been about winning they've been winning um listen the Hamilton game was concerning just you know against who they were playing with and the fact that they weren't able to move the football they almost lost that game but I think he and the offense really and the team overall got a lot out of the way they picked themselves up and came through at such a clutch time and as far as these last couple games I mean he was brilliant in the first half for the most part against the riders in the labor game on the road missed and I think coming back in the game yesterday for the most part I think it was very clear like what was going to hurt the bombers or what might turn this game for the Riders would be being careless with the football turning it over um and they didn't do that um and they were more than happy if they had to when they were behind the chains as you mentioned giving it to Jameson Sheen playing the field position game and in a lot of ways that's blue bomber football being good in all areas not winning based on one unit uh and all coming together to get the win and listen when your defense is playing the way they are right now and you don't have to continually go down and score touchdowns that's another way to win the only stat that I think the bombers mik o Shay and Zach Cero's car about is the one in the win column they got it and you know we can call it a game manager type performance if we want but they'll take it if it means a win right now and as far as Brady goes I mean yeah I guess it is a little frustrating um but I'll tell you what the same thing happened to Andrew Harris a couple years ago where Dakota prukop had 12 touchdowns and we were freaking out because of our fantasy team every week on why the hell is Harris getting it um if anything it keeps those guys a little fresher for where you really need them and that's in between the 5 yard line and the 5 yard line on the other side so do I think it'll change at some point soon yes do I think it's a big deal no but he probably would like to at least have one so people like you wouldn't be asking him about it well you know what I sidebar him I didn't ask him in front of the cameras I just asked him on the side because you know he had eight at this at heading into to that game last season right six rushing two receiving and again he's he's setting new personal highs in the passing game he's leading the league and rushing so it's not like he's having a bad season to the point where I think a lot of people even you know even bomber fans might be surprised at the fact he doesn't have a touchdown like there was parts of me that kind of forgot over time I know he hadn't scored in the first few games and then he was just playing better or at times the whole team was playing horrible so it was less about what Brady was and wasn't doing but it is uh it is interesting but you know there's there's a time to turn out I thought it was funny too not to go too Insider baseball but he did mentioned to me a story about about uh Dalton shown which I think is a big part of this too right that safety net that Dalton Shon was for for Zach Karis he led the league in touchdowns um the last you know the last two seasons so that's a lot of touchdowns to replace so anyone is wondering where those touchdowns went well dton shown had a bunch of them in his pocket um but he talked to me about how Dalton talked to him about how he was like you know started like relatively slower in the season and then then pushed off and and really separate himself to lead the the the the league in in touchdowns and I was like oh that's interesting maybe I'll write about that and go into the go into the files and I'm looking up Dal sh looking at his Seasons I'm okay might be a little bit it must be his rookie season I'm talking about here he had nine touchdowns in 11 games D showed yeah and then he increased his touchdown per game with seven in his last six so it was so yes dton St technically turned it on but I thought that was uh but that at the same time you know all that all that aside Brady's been nothing but dominating this season the touchdowns are going to come who knows what you know what the situation with strer might lead to maybe more touches in those Zone but uh he's getting them down there that's uh that's the important part what uh do you know off the top of your head when the CFL deadline is no I'm going to look this up as we uh as we sit in silence and live on live uh this is yes sorry about that uh trade deadline cfl.ca no I don't see it right now we'll have to find that out so I'm looking up an old one and it looked like October was one like they were teasing you know so it's it's it's kind of funny and you know you're going to have people on there be like as if these guy you know as if this guy doesn't know when the trade deadline is nobody knows when the trade deadline is because nobody makes Trad trades at the deadline but it's but it is super late into the season so I imagine it would be like the first week of October it's in was the first week of October so I guess games see what happens so it's interesting right because it really is like it's a pretty wild time it's it's less of a deadline as in like creating you know an environment to create trades and more or less a you know a dead line in its traditional sense where you can't trade for anybody after this but it goes deep into the season so yeah well I mean I just think back I mean of course that you know the the famous trade of Zack keros that came on and we found out about it an hour after the trade deadline actually passed we were on the air going wait a second the bombers just got Zach keros and you know oh it's for a conditional pick and I remember sort of laughing well that'll be something if this pick actually ever turns into something uh and then we all know what happened I mean the first time we saw Zach actually playing was early October because we were all in Cal or in Regina for the uh Heritage Classic game between the uh the Jets and the flames and that was when he had the pass to Darman Adams on that final play and ended up just running the table and winning the great cup but um you know obviously the strer the strer situation will be monitored and uh we'll see where that goes from here I mean I know we're going to spend more time on this tomorrow or on Wednesday on CFL one 10 but just a quick thought on where we are in the west I I have crossed off the stamps I'm declaring now the race for first is BC and Winnipeg and is going to be the Elks and the Saskatchewan Ru Riders now battling for that third and final playoff spot uh do you see it the same way or am I jumping to conclusions no I think you're bang on I mean I that that's what the standing suggests today and I think you know with and with the way you know all the teams are trending the BC Lions have you know finally Nathan roor has finally hit his Groove and and of course the the addition of Matthew Betts is is a big one for that defense that was struggling uh has been struggling all season so to for them to come back these La these last two games is is certainly caused for concern for the rest of the teams in the division Winnipeg is rolling I I I see Winnipeg fighting for first you know with thec it'll be very interesting about the about Saskatchewan man did I get a lot of messages and emails from people people are not there's not a lot going on in Regina right now I'll tell you that right now with this football team as bad as they've been I mean this this losing streak isn't supposed to come until after Labor Day but they're winless and seven and to go into a time of the year hus where they haven't won a single game I I can't it's hard to even spit it out they haven't won a single game after the Labor Day weekend since 2021 this is supposed to be like the number one franchise in the CFL the number one fan base is it's just it is brutal and the The Angst I've become the punching bag for a lot of Ru Rider fans over the last couple weeks I don't mind it it's all fine it's all good um but it is tough sleding and I just how can you say the Rough Riders are going to make the playoffs when they haven't won a game in seven and haven't won a game after the Labor Day weekend in two years like I just you know this is this is grounds for being cursed like this is this feels like a higher power um because I can tell you being in Regina the vibe the culture the play the camaraderie it is palpably different you can feel it different so it's not the same team and I really like Trevor Harris I think he was terrific against the bombers like that guy for his age like I hear he's under like the to the tb12 you know workout here that guy still has the balls to throw it into the tightest of Windows and his his his receivers just drop balls in a lot of those instances so they have the they have the skill I just don't think they have the football gods on their side and I'm with you Calgary is an absolute mess to the point where I think we're going to have a conversation soon you know most likely this Wednesday tune in to CFL 110 for another great episode with me and hus is I think it's time to consider whether Dave Dickinson's the right guy in Calgary he might be thinking that himself Banas yeah totally I just don't think there's something there's something real rotten with this team there's something up with this culture with the players uh they have talent but they just can't seem to to get it all together and and that's really what makes the West so much fun I think that you know we haven't really had this we've had this for a little bit but we haven't had three teams that you could look at and be like I'm not sure which one's going to finish you know in first place and it's amazing what the Elks would have been able to do if they didn't start the season 0 and six so they they would be they would be right there with Winnipeg I mean they're five and eight right now they easily left two games on the table it would be a three-way tie right now there's one game there's a head-to-head game left between Saskatchewan and Edmonton the Elks are a half game back uh on account of the Riders having that tie and the Riders are going to go two months without winning a game in the middle of the regular season the last time they won was on the 19th of July against Winnipeg they don't play again until the 20th of September and uh it'll be a full two months without them winning a football game luckily for them they're in Calgary on that game both teams coming off the buy um so they'll have that opportunity they got Ottawa at home the next week then it's on the road to Edmonton they finish off with a home game against BC and then a home game against the Montreal aletes or sorry excuse me home game against BC a buy and then they host Calgary all right well as I mentioned I had a wild weekend we were at the Ballpark on Friday banjo bow Saturday afternoon and then straight back to the ballpark and the gold eyes got it done winning Friday and Saturday and moving on to the next round it is tonight against the Fargo Morehead Red Hawks and just before he hits the road down to Fargo let's welcome in fish general manager Andrew Aller to set up the week and let you know when the fish are back at the Ballpark cash man what a weekend it was pretty crazy yeah it uh it took us like 14 Innings to get to sou Fall's pitching but we finally did and pulled it out on Friday and then and then Saturday Saturday was good too well it was you know having been in the ballpark for both nights um you nailed it I mean it was a little you could feel some nerves in the air in the first half of the first game because I mean the fish were having a tough time um getting the bats going and that had been an issue at times throughout the year we talked about the one- nothing losses I imagine you were sitting here we just need one to really get going here and guess who Max Murphy of all people yeah it's funny we lost five nothing on in the first game but we had plenty of opportunities we had second and third nobody out loaded bases nobody out we left so many guys on base so it's not like we didn't have our chances we just didn't capitalize on them and like you said Friday night Max took that one deep and then a Royo he's been he's been spectacular he's he's only hitting 636 with seven hits two home runs and seven RBI in in those two games Friday and Saturday well in a lot of ways I don't had the dagger in both games because I believe his Homer was a three-run shot to to make it five-run inning and completely flipped that game on its head after Max had tied it up uh and then Saturday if there was any concern after the big first inning and sou Falls coming back a little bit he really seemed to uh turn the lights out on any comeback uh comeback hopes for for the opponents I mean he's been great all season long but I you need your top players to step up under the biggest biggest uh brightest lights and biggest situations and Mand did he do that on the weekend yeah Edwin kind of struggled in in the regular season he came off a long season in Puerto Rico didn't get here till August but uh as he said to me in the clubhous yesterday when they were all kind of doing some workouts he said this is the guy Logan told you about that was nice to hear he's certainly not lacking in confidence and hopefully he keeps it rolling into the second round yeah well I mean he was I always like to see him during during the regular year but I think we knew there was maybe a little bit more to give and uh we saw it on the weekend um listen just before we get to what is next starting tonight with game number one I have to say um both crowds were great the crowd Friday night Andrew was one of the best gold eyes crowds I think I've ever been a part of I mean Not only was the place packed but I mean every every single person in that Park just seemed to be living and dying on every pitch and that really is what playoff baseball is all about they were into it it it reminded me of game five in 2017 when the place was packed and everybody was into every pitch and playoff crowds are different like a 5,000 crowd in regular season is totally different than a 5,000 crowd in the playoffs everybody that's here is a baseball fan they know what's at stake um they bought their tickets because they know it's playoff baseball and and it it's exciting every like like I said every everybody's living and dying on every pitch and they're loud they're into it yeah the players players feed off it they love it like when uh when Landon was trying to convince some other guys to come to Winnipeg he said hey we have great crowds and I I told those guys you haven't seen anything yet wa till you see Friday night and and Saturday night it's it's uh it's electric well and listen I mean as we mentioned it was a very busy weekend on the Sports scene um must have been cool for you to see so many people in bomber jerseys and hats that literally did probably what I had jumped on the blue line just headed downtown and walked up to the ballpark right after the win against the riders that was very cool very cool I watched the game in my office and great to see coach OA get win number 103 uh to to uh to LEAP ahead of Bud Grant that's quite an accomplishment so congrats to to coach well uh it's uh back to work tonight um tea up this series against Fargo um probably the team you play the most you know best and uh here it is best of three to move on to the championship series yeah I was trying to remember how many times we played them in the playoffs it's got to be 10 or more and and every playoff series is is crazy something interesting happens you never know who's going to step up Fargo is always a tough place to play we've always had our troubles there um but hopefully tonight we'll turn around Joey's on the mound again and I know he wants to atone for for last week he's he's the best pitcher in the league for a reason and hopefully uh we'll see that tonight I think he had some nerves for game one but I think those nerves are gone and and he'll show up tonight now for Winnipeg fans who missed out those incredible atmospheres at the Ballpark on the weekend good news we will have a game on was it Wednesday night and then if it does go to a third game Thursday but I imagine the Focus right now is on that big game how do you feel that might help them when they get back at it tonight starting from scratch against Fargo yeah I think that that they know that no matter the situation they've got they've got the horses in there that can get it done the bullpen has shown in the three games they've been lights out I don't think the bullpen given up a run yet knock and wood they uh they've been great um maybe in the first game we gave up a run but Friday and Saturday there were lights out we got what we needed from Landon uh and then Mitch Mitch has uh Mitch Lamson has pitched for us before in big games in Blue Cross Park so it wasn't new to him we got five solid out of him and then the bull pin came in and shut it down but like we said all year it's it's the hitting that'll take us if we get if we get the hitting then then I'm fairly confident well and you know what and a a definite hat tip to the bullpen um as well as Logan um you know who made a pretty ballsy move in game number two by going to a closer I believe in the fifth inning just knowing how crucial it was to get out of that inning when the bases were loaded um but there is no tomorrow if you lose that game right so um anyways it had a playoff feel it had a playoff atmosphere there were playoff type decisions being made and uh it was a big big win uh Andrew listen have a safe drive down to Fargo tonight come back with a victory and uh let's see this place packed on Wednesday night it was so much fun on the weekend and uh for folks that maybe were busy or banjo bowling Wednesday night the uh the week is wide open so uh let's uh looked back and then carried that into Saturday and yeah that was a a great great uh I I didn't make it down for the second game but I'll take your word for it uh but a great Sports weekend because the Friday night we were there and then the Saturday night banel bow and I'm with you I haven't been to the bombers games for the last 25 years but ever since the new stadium was built that was one of the greatest crowds I've ever been a part of I've been to a ton of those games too so I'm fully with you on that that was crazy atmosphere like sportswise ream I mean we went from and the great thing is like the gold eyes especially the last month and a half I mean Connor you can speak to it being there on a daily basis they've had some awesome crowds but listen I mean the regular season Crowds Are a little different people are coming out there they're eating they're drinking they're having fun they hope the team wins uh but you know if they're at the mini donut thing for two uh two innings or down with their kids at the play area it's all part of the night every person Remo was so locked in on Friday night at that game and again the crowd wasn't as big on Saturday because no one even knew if there was a game until they won on Friday night and of course the banjo bow was but uh that was uh that was one heck of a night and a hell of a way to get going on the weekend and of course they finished the job on Saturday yeah you know that first half of that game a lot of uh breath being held I mean playoff baseball is another animal H it's so much different than regular season every pitch every decision matters so much more over the course of a game and uh for them to come back the way they did on Friday to force a game three and to dominate you know wasn't close uh by the end on Saturday uh really incredible for a franchise you know it seemed like they had just won but the last time was 2017 which is now seven years ago so uh the gold eyes is looking to get back in the American Association final they have the West Division Championship Series against Fargo but awesome to see so much success you know you weren't sure how they were going to go after replacing Rick fory last year the season didn't go well they went with the managerial change again Logan Watkins has really brought in uh this team it seems to have bought in and uh you know incredible pitching but they did get the hitting as Andrew just said when they get the hitting things go well and they certainly got it in the second half of game two and in game three yeah it would be huge if they could get this win tonight and only have to win once at home but uh we'll pay attention to it we'll talk about it tomorrow on the program and then Wednesday regardless of what happens tonight game two down at Blue Cross Park and if they do need a third game to decide this quick series against Fargo that will go on Thursday night all right right let's get to let's get to it week one the NFL in the books and oh my God there is so much to get to Remo let me start off with you how uh how did all of your angles for yesterday go uh fantasy wise anything that you were on was it a good start to the year for you are you cursing the Cincinnati Bengals for blowing up your Survivor pool before it even started uh yes sorry yeah I'm cursing the Bengals you know I took them I wasn't comfortable about it um they were the big favor though they're minus8 and I go by the theory that nobody knows more than the people who make the line so I was like look I'll just take the biggest favorite in my Survivor pull and I lost I probably deserve that um T Higgins out Jamar Chase um he played I don't know if he was there but he certainly he certainly played and early season Joe burrow I think historically not been good um so credit to the Patriots for winning I will give credit to rre Stevenson huge game that did help me I'm on my way to to hopefully winning Yahoo says I got a 97% chance of beating our previous guest Jeff Hamilton in the media league and Jeff was spouting off in our group chat many takes yeah he's been many takes trolling everyone so Jeff needs to get knocked down a bet I'm happy to be the guy to do that so I was happy with that I did place in the wst DraftKings league as well um we had a little contest you know just under 50 people I finished I forget what it was it was Jerome Ford's garbage time touchdown for the Browns over the Cowboys putting me over in that one and I mean they have to be the big one of the bigger disappointments of the day uh I'll give I'll give my star of the day for me and fantasy Anthony Richardson this guy's a baller he can run but how about that rocket arm a couple deep deep throws curious how the Colts those are two you know the AFC South used to be a bit of a joke but the the Colts and Texans I think could be pretty good especially the Texans man CJ Stout he's he's awesome so the thing about Anthony Richardson I'm with you I mean like the guy can run and he has an arm that can you know I mean throw at the length of the field you got to complete more than nine passes in an NFL game though if you're going to play the entire way and going to win and nine of 19 is not going to cut it that game was crazy you know I I'm in the bar right and we're watching we've got seven games on so I'm sort of back and forth but I was really sort of focusing on that game it was the one bet that I lost I had Houston minus 2 and a half and I knew the second that the Indie two-point convert was unsuccessful and it was at 1513 I'm like I already know what's going to happen Houston's winning this game by two and I'm going to be very very angry about it but we were checking the stats Connor at the end of the third quarter CJ strout had already thrown the ball 28 times and Joe Mixon already had 21 carries I'm like are they running hurry up all game like what is going on then I looked at the end of the game the time of possession was 40 minutes to 20 minutes so the Colts definitely are going to need to uh figure out a way to keep the ball in their own hands a little bit more uh but listen it was a really really fun game one of the best of the day what uh what stood out to you on the good and the bad coming out of week one well I'll say it started when I woke up and checked Twitter and my fantasy Superstar number one pick I saw was in handcuffs Tyreek Hill um so that that's how the day started he played and uh not only did he play he hung 130 yards and a touchdown on the Jaguars so um but ER the fantasy app has this feature where you can like nickname players and as soon as his agent came out and said he was going to play I just nicknamed Tyreek Hill Scotty sheffler I was like this this is the exact same thing and uh and he went out I mean I think Scotty sheffler played a good round the day that he was detained on the way to the round and then yeah exactly and then Tyreek Hill yeah 130 yards at a touchdown so that was the number one story line the craziest thing for me um and then yeah I will say Anthony Richardson as well just watching him like only complete nine passes but just launch the ball 70 yards in the air almost every other throw like yes he has an arm but he's just he's using it like he's just launching the ball every single drive and honestly if you're a Colts fan that must be fun to watch because you've got this freak of an athlete who just launches the ball in a dome uh and is just taking these deep deep shots but yeah the Tyreek Hill situation was was front of mine for me because as a fantasy football player um I was very worried about my Superstar but he played ahh that was uh that was quite the scene the the best part about it re was Tyreek afterwards saying you know I told the guys I didn't know what the problem was and that I want to be a police officer after I finished I'm like Tyreek officer Hill joining the Miami deed the Miami dat PD after he finishes with the dolphins I thought that was somewhat unlikely but uh Drew rosenhouse said it as well by the way shout out to Drew I mean he's there in two minutes like right there with the cops like that's the agent that you need he's always in the Foxhole with his guys um I mean listen the Bengals losing to the Patriots was stunning um and you know I'll give New England credit their defense was pretty good but you know that fumble on the one um that should have gone in I think that completely changed the game Joe burrow didn't look great the not t Higgins hurt Jamar Chase obviously hasn't been all in and practice and I'll tell you what um they got to go to Arrowhead next week um 0 and2 not a great way to start however I think they are somewhat fortunate in the team that everyone thinks stinks and we hear this every year and then they have a winning season the Pittsburgh Steelers went in not only did they cover they won outright against the Falcons everybody else lost the Browns look like an absolute train wreck the Ravens are going to be better um but I I think this is going to be a battle all year long between those teams in the AFC North so uh but you don't like to give away what looked to be a freebie against one of the worst teams in the league on home on home uh home field uh to start things off um I love Jaden Daniels he is going to be a fantasy God for people like I don't know how many games the commanders are going to win but oh my God I'm just envisioning the garbage time of how many rushing yards he gets completions and whatnot but really really exciting young player he had a great start and you know what else I mean we didn't really touch on this in the in the lock shop today but uh how are how are my viking fans feeling today after going in and destroying New York and the Giants wearing Montreal Canadians outfits uh uniforms for the day bizarre bizarre throwback Unis for uh the opener but as my buddy Johnny Viking has coined him Sammy darts ready for prime time in Minnesota I gotta say it Sam darnold looked pretty good and I think he's going in the most quarterback friendly Situation Room he's got Justin Jefferson he's got Jordan Addison Aaron Jones look pretty good granted they weren't playing one of the best teams in the league but you know on the road in his first start knowing that JJ McCarthy isn't going to be coming anytime this season thought it was a great way for the Vikings to get things going and I remind people that just because Kurt Cousins isn't there there's still a lot of Talent on that team yeah I think it just shows you what a terrible you know situation the New York Jets was for Sam darnold coming out of being drafted he looked he was fine when called upon in San Francisco how was he going to do um in Minesota got off to a crate wasn't it like 16 of 16 uh completed to start you know Justin Jefferson he's going to get open you just need to deliver him the ball and he can certainly do that and I know the opponent wasn't you know the most competitive and I agree they looked like they were the Montreal Canadians yesterday but you got to be happy with that debut uh for the Vikings and Aaron Jones if he can stay healthy has had injury problems the last couple years he's he's a contributor so um big win yesterday for the Vikings 286 over the Giants and I know a lot of of Giants fans already thrown in the towel on this season but the number one stat on Twitter right now is that Daniel Jones has thrown more TD passes to the his opponents than his own team since signing that big contract before the start of last season that's a tough look that is a real he was inj he was injured I mean for last season we all remember at Tommy DeVito but that is a pretty funny funny stat listen I saw some people giving it to Jones after the game there some brutal fan Behavior like I get being pissed that you guys lost your first game but like heckling your guy after game one of the Season only in new uh only in New York um yes Gregory mentioning that the New York football Giants are celebrating their 100 season and they did it by honoring the Montreal Canadians in their first game of the regular season you know another historic franchise um anyways um listen you know as we look at the landscape of the National Football League don't take too much out of week one some teams like the Bengals look terrible I would be shocked if they're not there at the end playing in the playoffs however guys did any of you buy in to the Carolina Panthers hype heading into week one because they made the New Orleans Saints look like the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday I don't know how Chris olve had such a quiet game that's a fantasy beef of I'll save for the lock shop tomorrow but uh Connor that was a massacre and everyone seemingly getting a little piece of it in in nans and maybe the car experiment can be salvaged with the Saints well let's let's let's maybe not go that far but yeah I was I was about to say when you guys were talking about the Giants nobody had it worse than the Carolina Panthers on Sunday and I was sitting there watching with my friends we we do a little setup watch Red Zone and all that and we were like thinking none of us are Carolina Panthers fans but imagine being a fan of the Carolina Panthers sitting here as your team is getting slaughtered 47 to10 or 42 to10 whatever the final score was and there was hope coming into this year that Bryce young could take a step forward I mean maybe it's not his fault because he doesn't have a great old line or great weapons but he didn't look all that great in that game either and yeah the New Orleans Saints like I'm not really a believer in them maybe this game can be the start of something speci for them this season but I just see it as a mid team beating up on a terrible team in the Carolina Panthers and yeah if you're a Panthers or a Giants fan like you're already looking ahead to next season and we're it's September 9th like it's all this excitement you know Daniel Jones is finally healthy Malik neighbors is in New York and you get killed by the Vikings who people weren't high on week one maybe they'll surprise and then the Panthers number one overall pick Bryce young doesn't look great the o line still struggles the no weapons stood out their defense was terrible and their best defensive player Derrick Brown is now out for the season with a Tor meniscus so to add insult to injury um or injury to insult that's just they their seasons are done and we're on Monday of week one it's Dave Canalis uh he'll get a mulligan in his first year but I mean that that trade now for Bryce young looks so bad the only way I could have looked worse if Caleb Williams came out and looked like Patrick Mahomes in his first game no he looked like a rookie playing in his first game yeah uh but they got bailed out by their def Def and special teams against the Titans listen to this the Titans were four four and a half Point underdogs they were up 17 at one point since 2019 teams that are four point or more underdogs that were up 17 points in games were 661 and one against the spread if you had Tennessee plus four um that that is a bitter bitter pill to uh to SW follow a couple other games that I wanted to mention well just while we're talking about the uh uh the the Saints the Falcons didn't look ready for prime time and I will bury Horowitz myself for taking Pittsburgh plus three and a half in that game uh TJ watt is the game breaker game wrecker right now in the National Football League their defense their defense as a unit is so much better than their offense or any unit on Atlanta they pushed them forward and it's funny Pittsburgh one and0 while Baltimore Cleveland and Cincinnati all Lo all lost so maybe the removers of the demise and The First losing season for Mike Tomlin was a little bit exaggerated but Remo to me the like just from a non fantasy or betting perspective but if you're a fan of a team I don't think anyone should be angrier than Jags fans this morning that was such an epic choke collapse whatever you want to call it they're up by 10 at CH is running in to the end zone it's right there no ball security fumbles it through the end zone they get it on the 20 the next play 80 yard bomb to Tyreek Hill all of a sudden it goes from a 17-point lead to a three-point lead and you know they were lucky that Sanders you know completely shanked the field goal they might have not even covered the number but they did nothing I I think Trevor uh Trevor uh Lawrence completed one pass after that happened um re like I don't I thought the Jags looked really good early but man you want to talk about a tale of a two games Miami very fortunate to get out of that but Jacksonville has to be looking at themselves going how the hell did we let that get away yeah I was expecting a lot more points in this game I think I was expecting a lot more points uh overall from week one only two quarterbacks yesterday or including Thursday and Friday have thrown for over 300 yards Stafford and the other one Tua tag tag I can't even pronounce it but uh anyways 338 yards for him and yeah the Jags are ready to take a huge lead etn fumbles it into the end zone not a great look Trevor Lawrence I thought he was going to have a bounceback season I think he got kind of screwed a little last year he throw it to receivers and in that wide opening the endzone and they couldn't catch it or they couldn't get both feet down um you know how is it going to be with Gabe Davis coming over uh from from Buffalo you saw you know draft pick Brian Thomas uh have a touchdown catch but it was that fumble really changed the game zero points for Jacksonville in the second half after having a 177 lead and watch out for Miami at least until you know they play some cold weather game in the playoffs in December uh two as he's got it on with the two receivers hell 130 yards on seven catches including a long 80 yard tiou touchdown and jayen waddle as well 109 yards on five catches uh so you got to be pumped for the Dolphins the Jaguars thought it was going to be a bounceback season for them uh fumbling it away not able to score any points there in the second half I thought again I thought that was going to be a shootout a lot of points but it seemed know teams we saw this with the bombers teams don't play in the preseason week one basically a preseason game I think that's why you saw such low you know low passing I mean Baker Mayfield LED all passers in touchdown passes with with four um so not a lot of huge numbers put up yesterday on the St oh my God speaking of Baker Mayfield So I mean we've kind of talked about how brutal the Browns were and how horrible deshun Watson was so the Cleveland sports station I saw someone post this they start their Morning Show at 6 they talk for like 20 minutes or whatever and then they open up the they open up the the lines let's go to the phones the first caller goes in guys I've got two numbers for you one is 42.3 the other is 144 and I think I you know what I'm getting at the guys go no what are those numbers well the first is Deshawn Watson's quarterback rating and the other is Baker Mayfield and the guy just goes you got to be kidding me first call of the day we're doing this right now we're doing this right now guess what you're doing it right now because Baker Mayfield just got the Bucks to the playoffs last year DeShaun Watson as bad as that Bryce Young trade is the DeShaun Watson trade will be the worst in NFL history and I don't know how they get over this I mean you've got a worldclass defense you've got a coach of the year coach and you hitched your entire wagon the franchise to DeShaun Watson and Rema had to laugh PFT commenter had a had a poll out today and it said after yesterday's after yesterday's performance is Deshawn Watson a better human being than he is a football player oh God that's how bad he's playing it's it's 5050 right now like he's bought like zero out of 10 as a human so I mean he's on the he's in the NFL right so maybe get one but I mean for a team that brought in Joe Flaco uh last year and he led them to the playoffs like they look at bring him back if you cut him I mean the no you know who's next up jamus oh bring him in week two jamus let's go he's got an arm I like jamus he's going to turn the ball over speaking of throwing to the other team but he's going to throw some bombs and if you know you can't hit Amari Cooper wide open has I think you got problems so I'm curious what happens very interesting but I think it's amazing to see you know Baker goes to Tampa has that game and you know they make this crazy trade uh for Watson and it just blows up in their face and the other crazy I mean the Bryce Young trade too uh not looking good and the Texans end up with CJ Stroud and he's I mean was he rookie of the year last year incredible starter so I both teams here making trades for quarterbacks not not working out for them yeah it was uh was wild week which brings us to tonight's Monday nighter and uh let's get to our lines over at coolat do not been a weird training camp for the ners I mean they didn't have Brandon IU tons of drama not enough drama I thought around the Trent Williams situation just because of how important he is but it took a while they got their guys back it was a very different training camp for this team what are your expectations for the ners heading into tonight taking on a very very good defense and of course Aaron roders who will now play his fifth snap as a Jets quarterback after four on a Monday night last year well I think that's the biggest storyline of this game is Rogers and we didn't talk about it but Kirk Cousins looked awful against the Steelers on Sunday and TJ watt in his brain every play cousins couldn't move he tours Achilles Last year um and Rogers tours Achilles and has played even less football and is even older than Kirk Cousins um is currently so I think that's the biggest storyline is can Aaron Rogers move um when that Niners pass rush is getting there and how does he look I mean he hasn't played in the preseason either he was late to training camp as well on one of his like Darkness Retreats or something so um it's going to be interesting to see how he plays but from the Niners I know I I'm heavily on niners Twitter a lot of people are saying you know there's all this noise iuk Trent Williams um and you look around at these these big NFL media Publications putting out Power Rankings and apparently the Lions and the Packers are just better than the ners I'm not sure when that switch happened but it would be glorious for you know Everyone likes the Jets tonight Aaron Rogers coming back for the Niners to just remind everyone that they're the best team in the NFC and come out and just pump the Jets tonight um and I I again I'm very biased so I'm not going to give you my analysis on who I think's gonna win tonight because I think that answer is obvious but Aaron Rogers I think is really really fascinating to me how well he's going to play against one of the best defenses in the league having not played game action in the last years and coming off an Achilles injury um that's that's the biggest storyline for me tonight and I'm I'm super fired up for this game yeah it it should be great as I said I mean I'm not I'm not betting the Jets to win I just think the Jets defense with Rogers I mean I think they're good enough like I think this is going to be a great game like I expect this game to be up in the air in the fourth quarter I think it's probably a field goal um a field goal difference so I I'm going to take the points the total is really low and this just as a credit to both of these defenses 43 is the number tonight um money line if you like the Jets to win plus 175 and still a pretty juicy minus 192 for the San Francisco 49ers I will hit like that because Brandon auk hasn't been here in training camp Christian mcaffry is questionable uh I think this is a massive Debo game I think it could be a big KD game as well for any fantasy managers out there who have those two players just because mcaffrey and iuk haven't practiced and they might ease those guys into it but Debo and KD they've been in great shape they've been here all of training camp I think they'll lean on them heavily against that great Jets defense and yeah rushing and receiving getting that for Debo because mcaffry is questionable maybe they give him some carries as well um I that's probably my favorite prop tonight is anything Debo Samuel they got to get the ball in his hands they're gonna Le the ball in his hands Remo how you feeling about this one tonight yeah I'm curious how it's going to go this Jets defense will be able to keep up uh with the 49ers I'm assuming McCaffrey's going to play I think but last year that happened a lot where he questionable and he'd go in and and tear it up so uh it's going to be the Jets defense against the 49ers offense Brock py had an MVP caliber season last year until he went up against the Ravens and it was decided there so and Aaron Rogers how's it I agree how's he going to look you know kurk cousins looked pretty terrible and he had Achilles injury last year uh Aaron Rogers he's older you said five snaps he's taken with the his fifth snap he had four and then was out for the season crazy crazy and Willie click and I don't know I'm pretty sick of Aaron Rogers in general so uh I do hope the 49ers win um we'll see maybe it'll maybe it'll work out I'm not sure he's got but gck wison you're expecting a big season uh from him and Aaron Rogers will they be able to connect and Bree Hall was what number two pick in fantasy this year so I'm sure you know there's some fantasy locations out there but for the game I do think the 49ers will take this one um I am going to take as I said the Jets plus four and a half uh I'm hoping for a close game we'll be on that Jets plus 4 and a half Garrett Wilson touchdown Debo 60 plus combined rushing and receiving yards that's at plus 550 under lock access from downtown uh to Princess Auto Stadium very quick so you're just like hey I'm going to the game who's in and you're personally going on people's phones and telling them to get tickets it's that easy uh I love that story that's that's incredible and everyone in bomber jerseys heading down on Saturday but yeah come out Wednesday Thursday couple big games uh I'm excited so nice to have some big gold eyes wins on the weekend you know I I'll give a shout out to Matt who's uh my pal Muk Rondo um formerly the lock in section 141 wearing that massive lock chain for Justin Medlock uh but he got on with his wife and a girl I met named Leah uh they're like whatat are you doing for right now and I'm like what do you mean what I'm doing I'm going to take this bus downtown probably grab a beer and then go to the gold eyes game a great idea so they literally went right on bought the tickets there and by the end I should have sent you this picture to throw up by the end of the game uh there was two bomber fans and then Leah had the feed the fish hoodie and some little Goldie doll and they were all in for the gold eyes as well so hopefully they'll be out on Wednesday I will be out there Wednesday hopefully you guys can make it on Wednesday cuz as I said it was a fun fun afternoon or evening I guess both uh both Friday and Saturday and Wednesday is the date and hopefully they'll get it done on Wednesday but if not we'll have another Thriller game three deciding on Thursday night hey before we go Remo we do have names and logos for the pwhl have you have you dove into this do you have a a long critique of like everyone else on twit about the names and the and the Unis I haven't I haven't seen uniforms yet I don't think those are are coming out yetos I should say they're in production the names and logos Boston Fleet Minnesota Frost victorita Montreal New York Sirens Ottawa charge Toronto scepter my first reaction was that the Ottawa or someone put this on Twitter but I thought it as well the Ottawa charge logo looks like a mix between the Cavs logo Cleveland Cavaliers and the Calgary Flames um you know Minnesota Frost cool Bost the Boston Fleet logo is like the Whalers logo tilted on its side um I don't know they're fine I'm curious what the uniforms look like but nice to have some branding and I'm looking forward to the season two of pwhl uh what's Toronto called again scepter I'm not I'm not crazy weird name that's a weird I don't know whether it's good or bad it's just weird I think the New York sirens is a very cool name uh I you know what I like the fleet and the is the freeze no the frost it's the frost yeah we have Winnipeg the Montreal is sort of it's it's another weird one but I I'll just make that'll be Lost in Translation uh and yes it does look like Ottawa does look like the love child of the cows and the Flames no doubt about it I think the logos of Boston Minnesota Toronto tto are all going to look excellent on hats actually the Montreal one too we'll see what the sirens do and yeah I'm not I I'm not sure what to make of the Ottawa team the more I look at that that uh if I was doing a power ranking of the six I think we might start with auto out six but uh otherwise is great and as you mentioned you know in the next month or so we'll start seeing uniforms from these clubs I mean the league had a great successful first season but they were just names it was just the you know pwhl Minnesota pwhl New York little more brand identity and team identity for the inaugural six and uh we'll get new unies for those six teams and of course new unies for Utah HC of the National Hockey League the artists formerly known as the coyotes um they'll have legit uniforms next year but uh we've already seen them I guess on some rookies with whatever but there're the Utah very icy if you will I.E in Winnipeg ice nice colors very simple with Utah and those will all be collector's items after one year they'll get the inaugural season patch and then next year they'll have an inaugural inaugural season patch for the new uniforms but just in year two of Utah yeah I actually love these I love the Winnipeg ice color scheme I don't care that it's generic with just saying Utah the colors are great it's a classic pattern that's what matters to me this is a clean nice Jersey um so yeah I mean it's basically Winnipeg ice which I think had great Jersey so uh this is I don't know if you need like two inaugural season patches on the shoulders I think you could get away uh with one but hey that's fine and they've got nothing else it's not like they've got a secondary word Mark or something I mean that's pretty much all they got so that's the shoulder patch for year number one it'll look very different next year um that was going to be neat to see the Utah team and have to see when the Jets go to Utah I still I'm still want to go and see the team in Seattle yes um and you know I guess Utah is on the list now uh now as well although I will miss those trips down to Arizona that's why I legitimately sincerely hope that Arizona gets another team quickly hopefully gets a better spot for an arena it can be more
