Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr REACTS to NFL Debut

weren't exactly what you thought they were going to be but is there anything encouraging that you were able to take out of that first game yeah um one you got the first game under your belt definitely needed that or something that obviously you I didn't really get too much during the preseason so kind of my first live actions that was good to um I'm trying to get my feet wet a little bit there how was that the entire experience of your first game I mean obviously wasn't great definitely wasn't what um you know I expected what I wanted to happen with team wanted to happen obviously wanted to come out with a victory and we didn't do that how do you evaluate your own performance yeah I mean obviously wasn't great I needed to do a better job um you know helping the team win it's helping the offense uh and that's why it kind of brought me here is to help the team help the offense you know go so I do a better job with that going forward in what ways specifically uh I got good open and catch the ball that's my job as a receiver that is your job description um that's what I got to do better job did you feel like you weren't getting separation with guys or pie no I mean everything as a whole really you just got to get better at you can't I'm not going to point out one specific findr do you get moment like when the uh definitely a little bit of both um obviously I just wanted the team to win I think we had a chance to win you know definitely towards the end of the stretch that last Drive U obviously couple plays here a couple calls that he maybe should have gotten but um I think the frustration more so just comes from you know wanting to win more than anything said he was a little surprised how much attention you got right away from the defense how about you yeah def oh we maybe get a little bit more one1 kind of how uh the game plan was set up um didn't got you know different coverage a lot of cloud to my side and that's just kind of how the game goes what's the process sometimes where for whatever reason just yeah definitely um especially in college a lot of the game f defensively would have taken you away um um you know we had a lot of success at Ohio State obviously with you know running the ball and having different um the weapons kind of still get the victories and um obious continue to do a better job doing that here has the communication the process been like post game getting on the same page with Kyler just have you guys exchanged text or you guys getting the film room yeah film room definitely um kind of ask me what did I see there kind of go over and play and um I just kind of give him what I saw and got a different feedback there just change words Mar I get it we're asking questions about the previous game but are you the type of guy to let a game like that linger or how do you flush it yeah you got to move on got to move on it's a long season got what 16 more of them hopefully you know I can stay healthy throughout the year and uh just continue to build and get better each week you guys did so much work throughout the offseason to get on the same page how different is it when you get into that regular season yeah it's to it's totally different it's totally different um you could do a lot of things you know in shirts and shorts and then once you go there put practice and you got pads on you do like the The Joint practice we did with the Colts but there's nothing like actually going out there um in live action and really trying to be on the same page so I think that relationship will continue to develop and will get better is that it just a matter of reps then as much as anything yeah I think definitely definitely um like I said that was kind of our first live action together um so I think we continue to get back what are your early Impressions ofi together in preseason with with KY uh yeah but know obviously I and respect you know jg's call or preseason and obviously we all feel really healthy and that's kind of the best most important thing is obviously that we're all healthy going forward so um that's Marvin what are your early impressions of the Rams what do you think of the Rams so far I mean they're a good team they're a good physical team they got a a lot of new guys up front I think that's kind of where their strong suit is um kind of a little different than Buffalo more of a little match coverage so I'm excited to go against it personally when the bills did give you one-on-one opportunities how how do you feel wasn't many of them um wasn't many of them so uh but I feel like I'm you thinking versus just playing you know not getting any preseason game action definitely definitely thinking a lot out there and um you know I think that come with reps think thinking less and just going out there and playing definitely come with reps and something you know I'll get better at but definitely say I was thinking a lot out there is there anything you can do to combat that sort of coverage anything you did in the past cuz you're you're going to face that a lot obiously yeah I mean you just got to team get open for you know yourself making yourself available on the when the ball does Come Away making the play um but the defense is taking you away that means other guys are know have a chance to get open so that's how kind of how I look at it is you know long we're still succeeding on offense that's the best thing of course that continu with KY is something that comes pretty quickly in a few games or something might take uh hopefully sooner or later I think um we'll continue to see we'll see I don't think we're in a bad place right now at all obviously I don't really think that but uh just the live reps will continue to grow and show
