all right just about set to go and towing the M for Houston in this one you say Kikuchi and singy we were talking earlier about how he's doing a great job navigating through tough spots I've just been so impressed when it seems like there's more pressure he's more calm and settles in he's done an incredible job with Runners and SC position most guys get a little tight they start to aim the baseball but for some reason he gets looser the ball comes out of his hand with more life and he's able to wiggle off the hook of you know tough situations and get his team back in the Dugout and a pitch swing and a miss and the count is and [Applause] two got him looking and one gone and that's the out of his major league career and it could be the first of many and he meets the goals he set for himself and the expectations others have for him he doesn't want to just win games he wants to dominate at this level do you think Young pitchers could sometimes get too caught up in trying to rack up k early in their career Bo I think they can it's kind of like a hitter that doesn't have power The Thrill is still hitting the ball over the fence and so for a guy even if he doesn't have power stuff or strikeout stuff a strikeout is still something that makes him stick take his chest out a little bit further one out base is empty the pitch foul ball it stays nothing in two BS it back with two strikes next offering way off the plate and now the Lefty HS and misses it's a strike out well there appears to be problem settling in on the M out there today it looks pretty tough to start this one punching out the first two hitters of this ball game and somebody's going to have to put the bat on the ball put it in play and get something going and a base hit right there and that keeps the inning alive Rand gritch with his first major league hit and this is a moment I'm sure he'll never forget congrats yeah great moment for him and his family a guy works so hard and has to wait so long for this to happen and when it does can kind of be overwhelming boo you still have to stay locked in on the game but it's great when you could take a minute to just appreciate what you've done and how hard you've worked to get here and now it's Christian Walker trying to pick up his first knock in the big leagues and that one is in for a strike and one that's towards Center under it makes the catch inning over no runs one hit no errors and a man left now here come the Astros no score back here in Houston our starting pitcher in this one Eduardo Rodriguez and singy a special day for him he's making his major league debut here and I'm sure he's got some nerves he'll be excited for that first pitch to be in and over with so that he can settle in to pitching just like he did in the minor leagues exciting moment he's got his family in town I think This Moment's going to be a huge tone set for his career here's the former MVP Jose Altuve looking for his first big league hit right here the pitch just missed next offering is in for a strike one and one the one- one is fouled off and a onew got him one away he him with the change up right there and I think he was so geared up for once he recognized that it was off speed he just wasn't able to make an adjust really good strike out and pitcher just won the battle they get the out on Alvarez third now we check out the Astros lineup not a whole lot going their way offensively the last few games Chris yeah but and that can put more pressure on the pitching staff to try to limit the opponent to just one or two runs a game knowing that their offense is not scoring right now and that never really works well because you try to be too fine and you end up giving up a lot of runs so we'll see everybody can just relax bring things together and perform at a level that they're capable of the line in the pitch that one ran inside almost got him two out Bas is empty swings and misses and it's one and two and another ball Hammer strike man that looked like a pretty good swing and I was waiting for it to get hammered somewhere I mean breaking ball but he just somehow missed it timing looked solid and his balance was there he big St he just has to remember this is the same game that he's played all the way through the minor leagues to this point the only difference there just more people in the stands and it's a bigger Stadium but the game itself is still the same look at the catcher whatever fingers he puts down that's what you throw and just let him Lead You In this one here comes a pitch fou off he was late
