[Music] welcome to Denon Texas home of the north Texas mean green and the fans have been waiting since early this morning for The Clash we have in store what we have in store today a clash between a pair of AAC squads as we'll see a team coming off a crucial by week the temple out taking on the north Texas mean green for EA Sports college football ree Davis with you alongside David Pollock and Jesse Palmer and guys can't wait to get this one started [Applause] North Texas will kick it off to get this game underway and he hauls it in and everybody's on the edge of their seats he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 the owls offense will get the first possession of the game here he comes and obviously a defense is always going to be aware of a quarterback but boy he finds a way to put defenses on their heels all the time David I mean what can't he do he's got the weapons he's got the confidence he's got the experience Jesse these kind of guys are so hard to defend you're right they better be able to find a way to get pressure on him cuz if they don't this is going to be a long day from the gun the G looking for room they make the stop but not before he takes a chunk out of what they need to move the sticks the owls moving quickly to the line wants to throw it's Brock pressure coming and the quarterback caught up two and sacked at the 12 man it didn't take long for the defense to get home on that play you see them playing man coverage in the back end slowing down the routes from the receivers and the rest of the offense that forced the quarterback to have to hold on to it just a split second longer than they were able to get this out Tempo lining up to pled away three and out and not much choice but to get rid of the ball you'll call for the fair catch here so the north Texas mean green sends out the offense and they'll go on the attack for the first time as we take a look at our impact players for this game David what do you look for to make an impact from your leaders your leaders only have to lead the football team but they got to step up and make plays on the field keep everybody calm these guys typically do a really good job of it after burner's coming and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play an explosive play takes him right outside the Red Zone and they've got it first and 10 might as well run him until they stop him he's got it again they wrestle him down after he picked up sixs inside the 20 and down at the 18 6yd pickup on first down leaves him with second and four out of the gun the inside get CLS ahead for a pick up of four down to the 14 I think that was an example of the offensive coordinator trying to help out his quarterback he's trying to keep these third Downs manageable you know you throw the ball on second down and it's incomplete now you've set up third and long and now you're set up to fil they get him stopped at the 5 yd line but it will be first and goal from there North Texas really has it going on offense here comes the option and he rolls into the house touchdown North Texas it's what makes this offense so hard to stop when you've got an athletic quarterback you got to worry about him in the running game and there on the option he makes the right decision keeping it and caps off the opening drive in the game with a TV [Music] they'll try to add another to their lead and with the extra point they get the first seven of the game a very efficient five playay scoring drive and they punctuated it with a 5yd touchdown run what kind of field position can he help them with on the return he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 Temple takes over and the owl will send the offense back onto the field boy three and out last time David they'd like to be more productive this time around yeah in the last Drive nothing really clicked no rhythm got off the field really really quickly they need to put something together here yeah David bad execution on that last drive so they got to take a collective breath and start playing like a unit this [Applause] from the gun running back on the move they stop him after a 6yd run out to the 24 Tempo lines up quickly third coming they'll Run play action fires to the middle and this is going to be incomplete on third Tempo lining up to put it away they'll look to pin him deep to it fair catch called for and made North Texas takes possession the mean green offense will return to the field if you like oldfashioned grind it up run over and football that last touchdown Drive was for you Jesse that was impressive man great blocking up front and tough physical running by these ball carriers and now you wonder how the defense responds like are they going to get way more aggressive to try to stop the run I got to do something to break the rhythm of that running game so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty first down here for the offense he'll pull it on the read now after that run there in pretty good shape at the 30 yd line yeah and that's the hard thing about these cuties they can move and run all over the place and give you so many options is that that didn't even look like much but he chews up so much yardage and gets those little games that just Death By A Thousand Cuts that continue to happen with this off as a quarterback this is going to be a very tough game you're going up against one of the top 20 units in the entire country they know who your primary target is they're going to be keying on him just like they did that last time foot and they couldn't hold off the heat and he goes down with a sack North Texas will have to punt it away three and out they got stuck in Reverse they hope the punt can bail them out he'll feel the punt and take it back the solid return there offsets some of the punt yardage and really sets up this offense nicely Temple takes over and the offense will return to the field the last time we saw this offense we had to look quick it was a three and out Jesse he just had no rhythm in that last drive so someone's going to have to step up and make a play David and get this thing going yeah let's find some juice find your guy find those plays that you know you can run inside out for backwards get some first down BS get some positive momentum it's complete on the right side finally run out of bounds but he has his offense rolling with the first down new set of downs after that [Applause] completion and the senior would love to have that one back just a little too much on the pass nice job by the D defending the rbo they didn't fight on the play fake too hard everybody was able to stay back and they ultimately forced the incompletion looking to throw it's Brock quarterback feeling that pressure and he's knocked down at the 42 they were trying to set up the screen they were trying to take advantage of this pass rush but man that Defender he beat his guy so quickly he just blew the play off I'm not positive but that first down marker might be in the next County on Third and long he'll have to turn it loose deep and the incomplete pass will bring up fourth down Temple lining up to punt it [Music] away and the punt will hit at the one just a little too far for them to be able to down it it'll be a touch back and out to the 20 North Texas sends the offense back onto the field from the gun they'll try to impose their will stopped at the 25 after a 5yd gain halfway there on first down it's second and five off the bootleg wants to toss it got away from trouble and got rid of it that's reeled in it's Young and the defense makes the immediate tackle but he has enough for the first down and now a fresh set of downs for this offense got it set up on the outside they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front ball to set up the screen and create some lanes for their running back North Texas has it going to work with another first down and a pickup of eight opens a world of opportunities on seconding two yeah this coaching staff they're getting this offensive line lathered up and into a rhythm now they're letting drive off the ball on first down on these running plays and they're getting chunks of yardage that'll move the chains it'll be a first down for North Tex here's this offense with a fresh set of downs trying to find his man on first down safe completion on the screen not able to break the big one on that screen to the running back but he found enough and a solid pick up on first down got the completion on the last play still some work to do on second down hand off to the lone back hard running there showing off the arms they finally make the stop with the big run is readyy to move those sticks for the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs they'll ride the hot hand and he'll pick up one it brings up second and nine yeah and the running back didn't get much here but you know you clearly want to always establish the tempo run the football be consistent make that defense physical he can't gal the pit the ball's on the ground and the defense snatches it and theyve reversed the field and they'll drag him down after a good return offense getting set for first [Applause] down to the air it's Brock right down the middle off the deflection missed a great chance to force the turnover instead it'll be second down couldn't make make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again trying play action unloads to the wide out and it'll be incomplete this is some physical pass defense the defense was obviously ready for that play they've obviously been watching film they know that that pass play is one of the bread and butter plays this offense has so nice job defending it they'll run the screen and with that stop we are headed toward the end of the first quarter compl on the number kick it away fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way and a Precision punt there will pin them deep inside their own 10 Y Line that's the end of the quarter and North Texas has the lead we played one before we move on let's have a look at the stats they've swapped ends of the field and we're ready to go in the second they'll break the seal on this quarter here on first down on the ground it's Evans open space at the 25 and chunk plays are the name of the game and they get one here before the defense finally makes the stop not much can impose your will on a defense like popping a big run especially when they know you're going to run it right this offense right now is just more physical they're more physical up front and trenches and this running back and his ability to break tackles that is just so demoralizing for this defense really nice stop there from this senior leader come to the line at the 42 facing a third and short they'll stick to the ground looking for the marker and they make the tackle but the official has tossed his flag holding amazing how many times an offensive holding penalty will stall a drive we'll see if the offense can overcome it here on third down from the gun wants to pass trying to get to [Applause] him and trying to put points on the board on third down now they're staring at four fourth down North Texas will have to punt it away and he'll work his way on the return out to the 35 yd line before he stopped Temple takes over and the owl will send the offense back onto the field they've hit a bit of a lull here and they need to get things cranked up with this possession Jesse just haven't had a rhythm pass on the way it's picked off after making the interception ran that thing back to the 18 yd line and that's just excellent cover man cover won nowhere to throw the football look at everybody playing man across the board and you still got the safety in the middle of the field nobody open and if I'm the QB man I don't need to force it I Don't Force It In The Tight Windows if it's not there he throws it unfortunately gets the interception bad decision by the QB [Music] there line gets set first down CRA used the play fake now to throw getting some heat and he's all bottled up and now it's worse the ball's loose how about that alert play from the defense to scoop it up flying down the left side the 10 touchdown ows the defense takes matters into their own hands this time it's the defense finding ways to put points on the board there is nothing better than being a Defender seeing that ball in the end zone your eyes get big as saucers go jump on that puppy secure it gets you a touchdown the at unit on the [Music] field splits the uprights let's go to the studio now and check in with Kevin coners Kevin what do you got week in and week out guys you never know what's going to happen in college football check this Western Michigan is lighting up the scoreboard right now thanks to a dazzling offensive display they're up 14 over too we'll Circle back if anything big happens you should know about it thanks for the update on that one Kevin let us know when it goes final able to pick up a couple before he's dragged down at the 19 picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down he's looking to throw setting up the screen oh he just flat ran over it they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall to set up the screen and create some lanes for their running back on the option just working and poking and prodding and finding his way up to the 36 got a little work done on first down now back to the line he's going to pass on second down tremendous awareness along the sideline and the ability to get the foot down for the big pickup North Texas really has it going on offense they'll give it to the back using that running game to bludge and forward he's got four down to the 35 it's the emmo of this offense and they really put a lot on the offensive line to go out and really try and establish their dominance and their assertiveness and they've done a good job of that that early in this game running the football brought down at the 21 yd line a 15yd pickup and they are in Prime position to get points now North Texas has it going to work with another first down running back searching for a hole and he's able to shed one tackle and pick up pretty good yardage a lot of times defenses Blitz to stop the run this very play right here puts the linebacker but man the offense did a great job everybody understood what they saw running back understood pick up a nice positive gain and they were trying to get a blitz and maybe create a tackle for a loss North Texas will come to the line with a first and goal he makes the connection touch down mean green made the snag and stroll his way into the end zone one of the reasons this offense is so exciting to watch they've got guys that are dangerous after the catch if this quarterback gets through his progression day HS you in stride these guys will take it to the half man it's your job to do the rest right you hit me in stride where I don't have to stop running I don't have to break down it makes it so easy the connection between quarterback wide receiver you can tell this is a good one and that's why they got six on that play and the pat gives him a 147 lead so an 82 yd drive there and they finish things off with an eight yd toss for the score [Applause] and they thought about a return Then thought better of it they'll bring it out to the 25 Temple takes over and the offense will return to the field well let's see if this drive goes better than the last one they were in and out quickly after the quick pick David yeah first play big mistake man now let's get this offense in a little bit of a rhythm maybe before you open it up again Palmer or do you trust him right away uh he seems to me like the guy maybe that just needs to kind of get into the flow of the game so maybe you get the running game going here and just give him some easy looks to let him get led up the back goes in motion here's a quick throw out to the left and the owls headed quickly to the line the give to the back brought down at the 38 it's a pickup of 10 and a first down offense quick Tempo and that is exactly why you STI to running the football haven't had a lot of success but boom you pop one right that's what you got to do you got you cannot become onedimensional and just throw the football every down love the offense sticking to the Run nice job get in the first down leaves it with the running back one step WRA two-step squeeze this junior knows how to get him on the ground now on third down after that run to throw it's Brock they're bringing heat fires left and that pass intercepted looking for more room he's inside the 40 the 20 he's at the 10 and he's going to run it all the way back touchdown North Texas look a lot of time left there's a little bit of distance right now being put on the scoreboard there is but it's so awesome when you're a defense and you study all week about what's coming and what routes to be ready for and then you jump the route and you make the plays and you just go get in that End Zone it is so beautiful lining up to add another is on for the extra point and the extra point pushes the lead to 14 [Music] they'll kick it off and send that defense right back out there to try to score again after the pick six the returner will field it and try to do some business not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 Temple takes over and the owl will send the offense back onto the field this is when the pressure can ramp up a little bit on an offense David when they start feeling the heat to answer first score and I think being down 14 you can kind of feel that way but dude if you put a good drive together this is a seven-point game so Palmer no need to panic I was just going to say David I mean this thing can flip quick you go down score all of a sudden your defense gets a stop or who knows better yet gets a turnover this game is entirely different and the defense makes the stop after a minimal game didn't get much on first down it's second and nine they feed him again he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple you know the runner just has to have a little bit more patience and bounce that thing outside a little too early and as a result lost yards trying to move the sticks on third down through the air got it in the middle it's Smith and the catch was one thing and the Run even better a big pick up on that one we've reached a two-minute warning and this thing has been one-sided and they hope to at least have something to feel good about going into halftime this Temple offense putting together a nice drive wants to throw on first down off the play F can't find his man as he took a shot trying to deliver that football and it'll be second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again now the play fake coming after him and this sophomore able to wak havoc and get the sack they're at their fastest Tempo trying to get off this third down [Applause] play dropping back it's Brock feeling some heat got his man on the right still running at the 40 and they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up and that's why if you're the offensive coordinator you've got to find as many ways as possible to get this guy going just get him the ball close to the line of scrimmage doesn't need to be a throw deep down the field he's so Dynamic when he has the ball in his hands he saw it right there yeah and sometimes the coverage is just great and as a quarterback you throw the football away or don't try to force it too tight into a window and you just say hey defense won that rep good coverage he is brought down but man what a job to find some Running Room and move the chains chains are set and Temple has it with another first and 10 from the Red Zone looking for a receiver finds his man it's Clark a timeout is called as this offense tries to find a way to get more points on the board before the half well this tight end he's got size and he's got some athleticism he's very difficult to cover oneon-one defense is going to have their hands full with them today snags it they've got it down to the three yd line really well done on that throwing catch here's a Timeout on the field tight game here late in the first half this offense needs a little something to feel good about going to halftime a chance to chip away here on first and goal here's the snap looking to throw can't make the grab as he was going for six right there got nothing last time now second and goal from the three he's looking to throw it's complete to the right he's all the way way down to the 2 yd line just spectacular execution there Temple lines up quickly they're going to throw it on Third and goal pocket starts to collapse he makes a catch in the end zone touchdown out and I tell you what that passing touchdown man that should spark this whole team like The Comeback is more than on now like they got the touchdown they cut into the lead you want to get a stop and go go into the half get all the juices all the excitement and be like listen the passing game's rolling we got this The Comebacks in full effect and with the extra point every little bit counts as they get closer that is what they mean when they say ball control a 14-play touchdown drive and it was finished off with a 2yd touchdown toss from inside the 10 yd line he'll bring it back not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 just a few seconds remaining here as they try to put something up before halftime quarterback touch pass on the Jet Sweep crosses to 35 gets it to the 42 yd line and that's a first down we've got a timeout in the waning seconds of the half maybe a chance to get off a couple more plays one more play before the teams head to the locker rooms looking to go up top on first down fires and picked off he'll try to take it back at the 20 and he's going to take it all the way touchdown ows the DB saw it he thought don't drop it don't drop it then thought don't get caught don't get caught and he didn't the pick six hey these guys can play offense too now look at this I showed you I can be a wide receiver coach might split him out at wide receiver next week after making that big play but defense great job making the interception and you're right doing something with it don't just slide down don't be content take that thing all the way back at the end of the second quarter that means it's time to join Kevin in our halftime update w [Music] [Music] about to kick it away again as we are tied up in the third quarter the returner will field it and try to set up his offense in great field position he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 North Texas takes possession the mean green offense will return to the field using the back as a receiver on the screen and he never had a chance as soon as he caught it the defense was right there that first down was rather unproductive let's see what they've got on second down from the 16 incompleted man is he luy to get that one back defense that close to an interception quarterback has got to just settle down and take a breath threw a bad pick last Drive almost through another one on that last play he's got to regain his Focus fires to the wide out it's complete you sort of get the feeling here in the second half with a game tied it very easily could come down to which of these two quarterbacks has the football last bit of a blown opportunity there on third down with that incompletion this guy's going to have to lock in for the remainder of the game this guy is a daring pun Return Man he's not going to settle for the fair catch a solid return gets a little bit of ground for the offense pulls and fires it complete to the right and a good job in coverage there as they stop it after just a few Temple lines up [Applause] quickly he'll keep it himself just a solid stop by this sophomore they need the 40 to convert here on third down [Applause] back to pass it's Brock they're trying to get to it and they can't make the play on third down Tempo lining up to punt it away and may have to pay him overtime he's pting for the fifth time today yet another punt on the way got to make sure that hamstring stays loose he's been busy and the punt hits at the six and they can't down it and it'll be a Touchback North Texas sends the offense back on to the the field last time David it was one two three kick the last drive that three and out sometimes that puts your defense in a bad spot you got to get a drive together here so you don't wear the defense out I just think David too predictable that last Drive they got to do something here to get this defense on their heels they say you could call holding on every play well they did on that one first down here for the offense here's a snap ready to cut one loose there's setting up the screen they bring him down but a solid pick up to put him in position to pick up a first down guys out of the back field now it's not just run the ball downhill anymore you got to be veral I got to be able to trust you in the pass game and I got to be able to throw you the football and you can do that right there I know you're going to catch it and I can depend on it oh he got loose quarterback gets it up finally pulled down but not before moving the change for a first down QB's can run completely change your game plan I mean every single bit of it you have to understand now as a pass rusher I got to keep him in the pocket I got to understand all the Zone read Concepts and the power read and the Jet read all the different things they can do to you so you having a guy back there in the helm that can run the football you better be alert of it from the first play to the end of the fourth quarter power football with the run and they'll stop him after a minimal pickup how bold will they be on third down after that last [Applause] run wide out in motion a designed Run for the quarterback able to fight his way ahead for a pick up of four but they're still left with a fourth and two they'll leave the offense out there to try to get it past to marker and pick up the First on fourth down looking for the completion complete out of the back field dances away from one he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense fresh set of downs after the [Applause] completion trying to escape and get it himself touchdown me green they look finished but they're all the way back and they have the lead how you talk about calling a pretty good defense you feel good about and you take away the pass and what does the quarterback do he pulls it down and just shows the speed basically becomes a running back takes it all the way to the house and makes your defense look [Music] silly lining up to tack one more onto that lead and the extra point is true and they're on top by seven we check in with Kevin Connor what's going on Kevin all right guys what an update you on a game that went final moments ago Oregon pulled into town on a mission and they're hight tailing it out of here with a huge win Vinnie V vichi I came I saw I conquered and that's precisely what the Ducks did 60 Minutes of football and a convincing outcome and certainly a game with implications far beyond just the standing fellas and Kevin Conor is keeping an eye on everything all over the country sounds like they had a good one there Temple lines up quickly and they're not on the same page there in football you hear the term quick but don't hurt and you could tell when you run these rpos the QBs want to make that decision quick and he I think he hurried it a little bit too much got the ball out quick but obviously was inaccurate his pass and the sack all the way back in the five well that Defender just was better in his one-on-one on the pass rush he does a great job beating the offensive line and to get to the [Music] QB Tempo lining up to pter away doesn't say much for your drive when you're looking forward to the punt sometimes avoiding disaster is the best thing the punter just gets it out of there wide open and it's a fo race that's a perfect example of not settling for a fair catch pick up whatever yardage you can and help out the offense he's looking to throw it excellent coverage and good use of the hands to knock it away listen a lot of times tips and deflections are because you got great eyes and vision on the quarterback you see him release the football you break on it you tip that thing and make sure the receiver can't get it that run epitomizes a veteran Savvy senior who knows how to find Space down to the 18 yd line it's first and [Applause] [Music] 10 operating in the Red Zone here on second down they go to the ground oh gave the defender the business they make the tackle but he's got a fresh set of downs and it's first and goal from the seven nor Texas he has it going on offense he'll ride his man on the option he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three let's see if this offense can answer the belt their coaches challenged them all week long when they got down to the Red Zone we've got to be able to run the football because we're going up against our top 10 rushing defense let's see if they can step up here and get it better third and goal is where offensive coordinators earn their keepy from the gun wants to pass makes the grab and he won't be able to push his way in he stopped at the one brought down at the one yd line brings up fourth andle all they need is a field goal to make it a two-score game but they are going for the jugular and the touchdown here on Fourth and goal they stop him short of the marker and they'll turn it over on Downs Temple takes over and the offense will return to the field first and 10 from their own one and they really need to create some Breathing Room they'll leave it with him that's a 15 he's loose and it is a chunk play a huge gain on that one before the defense brings it to an end well that's why this running game can be so Dynamic this guy is special when he has the football in his hands he can can make people Miss he can run with power and he also has speed you saw it on that last play they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one temp lines up quickly the play action fake throws to the tight end almost had the completion just missed well he did a good job getting to the middle of the field that's where the offense wanted to attack back on that play he's just got to do a better job looking that football in looking for a man it's Brock pressure coming didn't have much of a choice just had to throw that one away it'll be fourth down Tempo lining up to PL it away signals for the fair Catch and holds it in just shy of the 30 North Texas takes possession the mean green offense will return to the field there have been a couple of missed opportunities for these offenses in the last couple of drives Jesse and I think for this offense here it'd be nice to hit an explosive play be aggressive and really pay off your defense's effort last drive and instead of having to move the ball down the field consistently and then getting stopped on Fourth Downs you're right create some of those explosives take those deep shots make those big plays and look this guy has some serious moves and he tried all of of them and still didn't get [Music] loose that's the end of the quarter and North Texas has the lead let's take a quick look at the national rankings to see how this playoff race is shaking up when you're dealing with a deficit like this it's all about somebody stepping up to make a play and you might as well start here in the fourth [Music] quarter going to run it it's Evans he got a bunch and look close to getting a lot more but he's got the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs easy give to the back a solid pick up there before the defense is able to make the stop halfway there on first down it's second and five the offense showing motion from the tight end trying to get a read on the d p down after a pick up of five but they knocked that defense back and they've got it down to the 34 offense breaks the Huddle on third down they'll try to run for it and I don't think he got there no they sto him short he do does not pick up the first down and you know the standard is indisputable video evidence and the officials will change the call North Texas has it going to work with another first down the give to the back Powers through the defender that defense pushing him out of bounds after a short game after picking up a couple in second and eight three snap motion quarterback trying to get a read the offense coughs it up picks up the ball and tries to make something of it well ball security doesn't just apply to running backs and receivers QB's got to keep two hands on the ball as well and they're very lucky after that fumble that the offense jumped on on Third and long try to convert through the air the offense pops it up and they were on the Move defense coming up with a huge fumble recovery and I I can't do that here right I got the football I got the lead the clock is my friend and now I cough it up offense have to understand the situation have to understand I got to get to the ground I can make sure I don't fight for extra yards I make sure I don't fumble posle fumble I'll say this man in college football you see a lot of bad tackling you didn't see it right there that was an awesome job first off being there at the point of attack once the tight end made the catch there was no doubt he was going down great job formt the 47 yd line it's third dropping back it's Brock how about that play to get a hand in there and force the incompletion tempo lining up to pun it away he'll try to really get into this one a fairly short distance here toward the sidelines not his best work the punt goes out of bounds and a nice job to get them backed up I think they'll spot it right around the 15 North Texas sends the offense back onto the field hand off from the shotgun works his way into the traffic and picks up three to the 17 and ball security at this point is at a premium for this offense you're backed up in your own end you've got the lead so you want to be able to run the football and stay on the field bleed the clock but you know the defense is going to be ripping away at it right they're going to be trying to get hats to the football and forcing a fumble so whoever's got the ball has got to have two hands on it this drive the officials offer the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the penalty they'll line up for a second down play he'll do it himself got to protect the merchandise gets down without taking a hit yeah and it's a nice job by this defense understand listen that QB is a threat and they're going to run all kinds of options and he's going to run the football they were dialed in and got that stcker to the ground throws to the wide out it's caught downfield he'll get it up to about the 32 Y Line before he stopped in Italy first down a new set of downs after the [Applause] completion keeping it on the ground with the single back and you can forget running in the middle against this defense as an offense you've got the lead youve had success running the football you hope that this play is just a blit because you know you're going to have to lean on your Bellow running back to ice this game and close it up just will his way for a couple out to the 35 yeah and he's been dependable I he like just he's been a guy that they've given the ball a lot he's just been so productive giving this offense an easy way to move the football down the field 97 yards on the day on Third and long trying to have a big completion here and that's incomplete a Defender all over him knocked the ball to the ground fourth down coming up north Texas will have to punt it away fourth time tonight we've seen this guy come on to punt he gets it up to the 34 yd line before he stopped and that's where the offense will set up shot looking for a productive play on first [Music] down back to pass it's Brock finds his tight end and the defense had that one well covered just a short game there Tempo lines up quickly a nice job by the defense they're tackling the catch and smothering the tight end they know this offense is going to try to find him in the passing game in a lot of different situations that time perfect coverage and nice job bringing the big guy down not easy to do on Third and long he's going to have to throw for it they've got the screen set up defense was not fooled by that screen to the back and they'll stop him short of the marker it'll be fourth down so after reviewing the undisputable video evidence the replay booth has decided to overturn the call maybe this will breathe a little life into this offense which has been flatlined in the second half here's first and 10 he's going to pass catch in the middle it's Clark and a good job of coverage by that defense just a short pick up L getting set on second down the give to the tail back he stopped at the 45 after picking up 10 yards and the first down the owls are on the move from the shotgun they'll run it a strong tackle and wrap up from the junior after trying the running game on first down they come to the line on second down they'll try it on the ground running the counter crosses the 30 he got away they wrestle him to the ground but he's got plenty for a first down and the owls come to the line with a new set of downs they're trying to slow that Rush down with the draw they make the stop it he got work done on the ground picking up six to the 23 leaves it with the back got some room headed to the goal line gets it into the end zone but wait a minute we'll have to check out the laundry on the field just a crushing mistake on the penalty wipes out the touchdown and now they'll have to try to get it together and score [Applause] again they'll try it over the left side did everything he could to discard the tackers but he was just able to get back to where he started man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out going to work on second down in the red zone and still some ground to cover to pick up that first down off the RP complete and just a short safe pass play they pick up a few it's third down now and they ought to be able to get off one more play before the two-minute warning we have reached the two-minute warning and time is is of the essence that this offense is going to make a play not a lot of ground to cover and not much to defend a big third down in the Red Zone looking to pass it's Brock get it out on the screen and they wrap him up but not before he's got enough for the first down and a big opportunity for this offense to tie the game up in the fourth with a touchdown trying to barge their way in touchdown Temple and they take it in for six more points number great job with the score and listen right here at this point in the game there's still going to be time left my defense is going to have to make a stand regardless I'm going to kick the extra point cuz the field goal still beats me if I go for a two-point [Music] conversion ready to try the point after is on for the extra [Applause] point and the extra point was good and we are all tied up in the fourth and for a quick update let's go to Kevin Conor's in the studio fellas I think at least a portion of your audience will have an interest in the one that just finished up Clemson made it look easy but I promise you there is nothing easy about a double digigit win on the road and a win like this only confirms there is something special brewing with these Tigers they'll throw it on first down a lot to go through in the film session this week for both teams but boy it sure is going to be easier for the side that came away with the win Kevin thanks a lot for that one sounds as if they had a good one there on second down just keeps firing and this is dropped incomplete pass he had a huge gain in his fingers and he couldn't hold on not exactly the ideal situation for this offense third and long backed up inside their 20 quarterback moving he'll pull it down and run Nifty little Scamper on this one enough for the first down and he slides in safely you got to keep drives alive late in the game when you're starting to get the fourth quarter and it's a one- score game you got to do whatever you can as that quarterback to scramble around get extra plays extra first downs really nice job there by the QB they make the stop trying to pick up just a little bit at a time to get to that first down marker let's see what they've got on second down 29 pH he's looking to throw firing to the right complete he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pick up and moving the sixti for a first down not much time left but the offense has a shot to end this one in regulation looking for a physical attack from the gun I like the decision there in the RPO game too guys I only only got a couple of yards but that play is going to open up bigger opportunities throwing the football down the field in the RPO game too so keep handing it off to this guy hit the gas kid wide open ahead almost took it all the way there but it's a huge gain and they're set up with a first and goal great execution by this offense the running game coming through perfect fashion breaks the big run finishes inside the 10 and they do a great job of blocking downfield with their wide receivers too and all of a sudden now this offense knocking on the door got it now the chance to pay off that big play from just outside the five Crick they'll run it on first and goal he pushes it forward all the way to the twoy line it's all tied up this offensive line they want the pressure they want everything to go through them here they're saying look let's just run the ball let's get this thing down closer and closer to the goal line let's bleed some clock and put ourselves in touchdown North Texas and in the final moments they've taken the lead and how about this offense man they knew they needed to execute great play calling great Drive put it together now you got a chance to go up by seven late in this ball game and then let your defense go on the field and seal it [Music] for they'll try to add another to their lead the extra point point is good and now in the fourth they're up by a touchdown and an extra point they'll try to pin them back with this kickoff and then have the defense put the finishing touches on a win looking for blockers and the return man has no place to run no place to hide and a place to be tackle they've got to move quickly here still a chance but they've got to force the ball down the field back to throw it's Brock the pass is incomplete and the clock will stop with 5 seconds left got to get everybody lined up quickly time winding away they've got to push the ball down the field he wants to pass it on second [Applause] down he's taking a deep shot late in the game last pass Falls incomplete and that's going to do it well this was an offensive showcase out there today we thought it would be a high-scoring game and it certainly delivered if you love offense then you love this type of game both offenses going up and down the field seemingly it will throwing the ball running the ball but David I feel like if you're a fan of Defense maybe this is wasn't your cup of tea ah more defense optional you didn't really get too much of that stuff but you know listen you got to get a few stops late in the game you got to get one actually just kind of one stop with this many points that was being scored you got the stop plate that's why you got the DB so that's going to do it for us for Jesse Palmer David
