anyway we've got a lot to get into today we're going to have some ongoing updates as you know the Packers and the uh Eagles are playing in Brazil that game is about to kick off in a bit so we'll get you some updates man and uh talk about Jordan love getting picked off hopefully and Jordan love looking like crap hopefully like he did uh at the beginning of last season but before that we're going to get into to the Trap game we're going to be talking about Lion's injury news the bright lights lion siiz expectations and keep my name out show mother of a mouth we've got all that and more so from the Lions facing off against the hated Los Angeles Rams they didn't used to be hated I guess but you know there's been chitchat there's been chatter leading up to this game pretty much all offseason the Rams Fans have been yap yap yap yapping I got a Rams a Rams fan that keeps commenting on every video that I do and I haven't responded to that comment because why should I he's going to keep watching the videos until I acknowledge Him and I won't I won't do it and after we layth the smacketh down upon the Rams once again I will acknowledge Him and I will assuage his concerns it wasn't you it was us it wasn't the Rams it was the Lions yes we may have been new to the top we may not be uh Old Guard when it comes to the expectations of reaching the Super Bowl and all these things but we deserve it damn it we deserve it we're going to get into all of that we're going to be talking about it's a trap now why do I say that it's a trap you all know what a trap game is I I feel like this game is setting up to be a trap game it's just too easy easy it's just too easy the Rams are doing everything in their power to make this game too easy for the Detroit Lions people are getting suspended people are getting injured they're shling lineups they're dropping like flies left and right they're doing all types of crazy things trading people sat trop let's go ahead and get into it but before we do that let me welcome everyone in the chat uh Trace is here Ryan Van valkenberg is here Bo Booth is here uh jrod is here Jus a fan is here we've got the regulars uh we got some it so as I said we're going to be talking about this being a trap so the first thing that we want to do is we want to talk about the latest news with the Los Angeles Rams and their injury situation so the Rams are dealing with significant injury concerns as they gear up for the season opener against Detroit Lions quarterback Darius Williams has been placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury sidelining him for at least the first four games of the season this is a major setback for the Rams secondary additionally starting left tackle aleric Jackson is suspended for the first two games and right tackle Rob havenstein's status remains uncertain due to a foot injury these absences could severely impact the Rams ability to protect quarterback Matthew Stafford and defend against the Lions potent passing or pass rushing attack all right now we know that Darius Williams was brought here or brought back to the to the Rams he was originally with the Rams obviously he was there when Brad Holmes was there so Brad Holmes knows who he is he knows how good he is um so it was important for them to bring Darius Williams back to this roster now Darius Williams who was in Jacksonville last year then came back this year will not be playing against the Detroit Lions so now that secondary gets just a little bit weaker travius white is the most healthy cornerback that the Rams have travius white you know acl's mcl's pcls Achilles whatever whatever there is to tear he is a person that tears these things he has a extensive injury history and I believe the last one that he had was a torn Achilles uh and the bills just decided it's time to move on okay the bills decided that it was time to move on trevius white is one of these people that the Bills lost on uh on defense as I've said before the bills have lost so many people on defense travius white was among them so he is going to be the one that is going to be relied on as kind of the rock as kind of the the solidifying piece back there um for that secondary and that's going to be kind of crazy because he hasn't played a whole lot in the last two years I think he's played like 10 games in the last couple of Seasons all right the backups for the Los Angeles Rams are going to have to be um they're going to have to be the key pieces to all of this the backups for the Los Angeles Rams are going to be facing off against Aman Rod St Brown against Sam La pora against Jameson Williams the backups now if I was a backup and I was a rookie and I was going to get extensive Play Time against the likes of these players I would be crapp in my pants now obviously they're all competitors and this is the NFL and so on and so forth however it's not looking good all right so we got that thing going on um so we want to know who's going to step up as far as any of all these people travius white as I said is the the top candidate is he going to travel are they going to say all right we need you to just stay on Aman R st brown or we need you to stay on J Mo I really don't think that they have the luxury to do that but that might be that might be the best strategy for the Los Angeles Rams in their secondary to try to just lock somebody down and just just say let's worry about everybody else but we're just going to try to lock somebody down we're just going to put travius white on someone anyone doesn't matter one of those three and he's not going to come off of them for the entire game and we're just going to let the chips fall where they may elsewhere um that's probably what I would do to kind of steady the ship and stop from the chaos that is uh it's about to ensue here it it can get out of hand pretty quickly uh if we're being quite honest um so that's part of the the the line the Rams adjusting their game plan um they're also going to have to adjust their game plan because of the offensive line we know they've done the shuffling around and all these things with uh Jonah Jackson stepping in to play center which I've said before isn't great because Jonah Jackson has very limited experience as a center in the NFL I think he only has like 204 snaps I know Steve aala doesn't have any snaps at Center but Steve aala was working and repping at Center in training camp so this is why you would continue leave him out there um and put Jonah Jackson back there here's the other thing about Jonah Jackson we know Jonah Jackson we know all his tricks we know all his weaknesses we know all his strengths we know what he likes what he doesn't like we know what it's what it's easy for him to cover and block and what is not easy for him to cover and block we know if he's susceptible to certain stunts certain games we know all of his strengths and weaknesses now we've practiced against him extensively I mean when he was available to practice he missed a lot of practice missed a lot of games missed a lot of practice miss a lot of time CU he is always injured Right started off injured didn't even know if he was going to play in this game Jonah Jackson can tell the Rams offensive line about the weaknesses of Aiden Hutchinson and um Alene mcneel he can tell them but Jonah Jackson hasn't or the other Rams people haven't practiced against Aiden Hutchinson and Ali mcneel for multiple Seasons right so it's one of those situations where I can show you better than I can tell you so strap in and good luck all right now moving on to some Recaps we talked about this but we'll just just refresh your memory okay the alliance the Rams offensive line depth chart the Rams have been shuffling their offensive line in preparation for the season opener Jonah Jackson who was signed as a guard in the offseason is being moved to Center while Steve Avala shifts back to left guard this is what I was talking about this decision has ra eyebrows among fans and analysts as Jackson has limited experience at Center and the team is already dealing with injuries and suspensions along the offensive line the Rams are hoping that these adjustments will provide better protection for Matthew Stafford and improve their run game okay number two in the recap the Rams trade Ernest Jones to the Titans in a surprising move the Rams traded linebacker Ernest Jones to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a fifth round pick in the 2026 NFL draft Jones who was a key player on the Rams defense recorded a career-high 145 tackles last season the trade has left a significant Gap in the Rams Lineback and core and the team will need to rely on undrafted rookie Omar Spates to step up and fill the void all right so we've got all of that happening we've got the injuries to the secondary we've got really one healthy Corner that was was looking to start the season we have a rotational Corner who's out everything's just going wrong for the Los Angeles Rams I know that the Lions fans are licking their chops I know that we're looking like this is going to be an easy win because everything is lining up for it to be we've got Braden fist we've got Jared verse coming in here they are rookies they are rookies they did not play in the preseason first taste of of NFL action is coming against pan Su and Taylor deck I can guarantee you there are no PS on the line on the Rams practice squad or active roster but it doesn't matter if they're on the practice squad or the active roster because they haven't been able to practice against them because they've been injured all of these things are lining up and that's why I caution you that's why I caution you because I said last night after we watched the Ravens lose to the Chiefs in stunning big toe fashion not since Kevin Durant had his toe on the line to beat I believe it was the Bucks but it couldn't it went to overtime and they lost the game as we watched that or after we watched that I did a video and I talked about the key to beating the LA Rams heating up the middle of that offensive line and who's the lynchpin in the middle of that offensive line well it's Jonah Jackson Steve Avala is going to be there but he was expected to play center I said DJ reader who we'll talk about in a bit is going to be the key not just DJ reader but interior defensive line pressure we're going to collapse the pocket from the inside and coming around the edge or edges we're going to have Aiden Hutchinson we're going to have Marcus Davenport we're going to have James Houston it's easy to understand why the Lions fans myself included feel like this is just going to be a feast we're going to eat up Matthew Stafford all night long but it's a trap this is shaping out to be a trap game it wasn't supposed to be be that obviously the NFL is not scheduling the opening Sunday Night Football as a trap game right trap games are usually just games that you just kind of go through the motions because you think that you can just show up maybe you're overlooking that opponent because you have a big game next week maybe you're overlooking that opponent because they're terrible and you're just like whatever we got the playoffs next week whatever the case may be trap games come in many different shapes and sizes but I believe this is a trap game I really believe that this is a trap game now the only reason that I am not particularly worried with this being a trap game and I think it is all these things happening the wheels seem to be completely falling off for the Los Angeles Rams the only thing left really is for Matthew Stafford to come down with some mysterious illness food poisoning maybe he goes to Mom spaghetti okay I don't know how much he's going to be out in the city before the game right I'm I'm sure they're already in Detroit or traveling to Detroit today probably so he just has to get food poisoning and then it's just a full-fledged am I am I asking am I calling for anyone to poison his food no if you own mom's spaghetti and you see him come in there don't do that don't don't don't poison this food don't don't order a piz and send it to his hotel with food poisoning in it like I'm not I'm not calling anyone to do that but I'm just saying all that needs to happen is something mysterious to Matthew Stafford and this is just going to be a full-fledged game that was supposed to be great game that was supposed to be highly competitive 52 to3 type of game you know what I mean but the only reason that I am not worried particularly about this game is because Dan Campbell is there and that grit culture is not going to allow any of these players to overlook any opponent they've talked about it before I think Aiden Hutchinson said like overlooking an opponent is crazy we would never do that all right but it's just again it's just easy to see how this is shaping up to be a trap game I don't think anyone expected anything like this I don't think anyone expected any of these circumstances but these are the circumstances they are here and we have to deal with them so I just want to prepare Lions fans just be ready I don't think this is the same as when we played the Seattle Seahawks last season and they were without their starting two offensive tackles CU that's just Pete Carroll that was the Pete Caroll effect P Carroll has our number is there a Shawn McBay effect not for the Lions right I don't think for the Lions it's there's a Shawn McVey effect because Shawn McVey has only beat the Lions when the Lions were trash the lions were good last season and Shawn McVey couldn't pull it out pause right Shawn McVey couldn't be the difference in the game he couldn't get him that extra point you understand what I'm saying he couldn't get them extra two points he couldn't get them an extra three points with his scheme so I'm not worried about a sea McVey effect the LA Ram should be worried about the Dan Campbell effect okay so as I said this has all the makings of a tribe game be careful but then again I know that the fans are going to be screaming it's G to be crazy there is going to be home field advantage and we'll talk about that a little bit later but just just look at it just look at it from the perspective that I'm I'm trying to tell you now if anything goes wrong which 100% don't think it's going to go wrong if anything does go wrong just understand that this a trap game okay if the Los Angeles Rams come out and you know they engineer a drive or whatever the case may be do not hang your heads do not go what the hell is going on here you got Steve Avala over there doing whatever he's doing you got Jonah Jackson in here playing Center I mean Jonah Jackson shouldn't even be able to command the line he shouldn't be able to get the signals in he shouldn't be able to adjust the protections he shouldn't be able to do anything that because we're screaming our heads off it's too loud for them to hear why isn't there a false start after false start after false start why aren't there multiple uh illegal procedure or illegal formations like there were last night with the Chiefs and the Ravens why isn't any of that happening in the first drive why did they score okay now do I believe that they're going to score on the first drive no I don't I don't believe that right I believe our secondary is going to be phenomenal this year terion Arnold said they have a fine system in place where they're finding people they're holding each other accountable five to 500 push-ups right as little as five as many as 500 this is what terion Arnold said right apparently he's not snitching so he hasn't you know he hasn't made good on that fine system and let anybody say uh you got to do push-ups but the fact that they're going to hold each other accountable is why I don't believe that there's going to be too much miscommunication too many blown coverages I mean Xavier worthy last night now yes everybody's saying did J Mo play J Mo did it better true no problem but his touchdown that he caught from Patrick Mahomes that had nothing to do with his speed that had everything to do with miscommunication on the back end the Ravens just let him go I think it was Marlon Humphrey thought he had safety help he was playing cover two right if you're playing cover two obviously he has the zone right the flats watching what's coming out of the back field that safety's got to get over there safety did not get over there he had no help so he lets him go thinking all right I'm passing him off to my man back here okay so that had nothing to do with the speed of Xavier worthy the speed of Xavier Worthy is crazy the speed of J MO is crazy we know these things but that's not what it was about um so yeah just remember man it's a trap it is a trap but that secondary I think is going to do wonderful things um we talked about them traveling and all this stuff so I think that secondary it's just different it's just different man it's just different like it's one of those things and we hope this is the case but you just have a feeling I like I just got a feeling about this one just got a feeling about this one uh terion Arnold apparently perin Johnson is super duper sticky and they've been trying to pick on him and they haven't been having any success Jered G almond Rod St Brown Jameson Williams Sam La Porter have been trying to pick on terion Arnold and have not been having any success Jared gof alond Rod St Brown Sam La Porter Jameson Williams to to an extent had all types of success against other defenses around the league and they're not having that success against a rookie I think we got a good one I think we got a good one and I think this secondary is going to give Matthew Stafford Fitz but just remember it's officially officially a trap game now if that mysterious um food poisoning incident happens I expect the Rams to Forfeit because nobody has any confidence in ston Bennett all right so before we get to the next segment let's see what we got going on over here who else is in uh he said he's worried about NOA I'm not particularly worried about ncua okay I there is one Pathway to be worried about NOA and one Pathway to not be worried about ncoa what is the protection factor of Matthew Stafford going to be now I highlighted it in this video okay and we got to start watching these videos Man learn my thumbnails right when you see the when you see the player you know in the blurry background and the a rip pod like when you see it up there in the in the thin elegant looking letters that's a video that's not a clip right that's a video that's new stuff that I'm talking about so go ahead watch that and share it and smash like buttons and all that stuff because that's a video got to get those views up man got to get you know we got to get Chef out to the people you don't be stingy okay don't be stingy don't hoard this content for yourself you gotta let everybody know okay it's millions of lions fans out there and our subscribership does not does not reflect that there are millions of lion fans out there all right so we got to get it out to the people uh so as I said if you look at the the interior defensive line pressure that was rattling Lamar Jackson last night Lamar Jackson had uh in the first half his average yards per attempt was like one okay they were throwing swing passes out of the back field they were throwing quick screens wide receiver screens smoke screens they were doing all of those things which were behind the line of scrimmage or just ahead of the line of scrimmage this is why his yards per um attempt were so low but they had to do this because he was under the rest he was under the rest like Chris Jones at one point was picking who he wanted to match up against right he would just move before the the snap be like I got this guy line up over the top of him and beat him okay so that element of maybe no alen mcneel or Aiden Hutchinson or maybe even DJ reader to an extent no they're not going to like be moving around saying I got this guy hey I want to crack a Jonah I want to crack a Jonah I want to crack right I don't think that's going to happen but I think they'll be able to get enough pressure on Matthew Stafford to make him have to get the ball out very very quickly and if you have to get the ball out very very quickly it's just going to be we have to rely on these players Cooper cup puka AA to get yards after catch now that is the pathway to worry about pukan AA he can get his Yak now he's going to get his running after the catch he's going to get those yards but that's where you go okay our coverage is sticky okay our scheme is so much better than it's ever been so now we can limit what pukaa doeses after the catch we can limit what um Cooper cup does after the catch you understand what I'm saying so there are Pathways to be worried about pukan nakua and then there's Pathways not to be worried about pukan AA all right chip Bradshaw is here right he says all that stuff the people need chef I I agree with you man um so sick argument says Lamar looked as good as Lamar can look under normal conditions they'll do fine in the AFC they're not good enough to beat the best of the NFC are we talking about the Ravens you got to remember Lamar Jackson is like 19- one against the NFC so I would walk that one back I will walk that argument back it is kind of sick um Craig hog says I cannot wait to see wh Mo break secondaries the Ronin 99 what's up my guy um he says I think the team will be focused and determined to keep pressure both offensively and defensively 100% I believe they are salivating right now right I believe that Aiden Hutchinson is walking around his house and this drool is just running down right I believe this is happening okay I believe this is happening um yeah flowers may not be enough but we do have Lively coming on and obviously you can't forget about Mark Andrews who wasn't used all that much last night look they'll get it together this is year two and Tod Mon's offense um and I think Todd monin is is still working on the balance okay and then they have did that Derk Henry performance is not going to be what you see all season long okay Derek Henry is not washed okay no despite what people may think Derrick Henry is not washed Derrick Henry is still a scary Beast of a man um in that play action game for the Ravens is going to be ridiculous okay just need to see Jordan love do it for an entire season all right so Lions injury news uh we got some updates obviously uh nothing really since the injury report came out it's pretty much um standard for what for what's going on right all right so the Lions injury updates or injury news says the Detroit Lions have remained mostly healthy in the days leading up to their regular season opener against the Los Angeles Rams in their first injury report of the regular season only three players were listed all on the defensive side of the ball eatu malanu and DJ reer were both limited part participants in practice while undrafted safety Lauren Strickland was estimated as a nonparticipant due to a thumb injury okay so estimated this means that we're talking about Wednesday's practice because they don't practice on Wednesday um so that's why it's estimated all right um readers participation is an encouraging sign as the Lions had initially expected him to debut in week two while recovering from a torn quad suffered near the end of last season uh defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn expressed excitement about reader's eventual turn highlighting his leadership and ability to open up lanes for linebackers okay now Lauren Strickland is the only player he he wasn't there on Wednesday he wasn't there on Thursday okay um Lauren Strickland as we know undrafted safety made the team over CJ Moore showed tremendous ability to hit and throw his body around there but we're not going to have him um in the game because of that thumb injury so he's out if he looks great okay um doc maon posted a video uh from practice and if he was cutting and turning and backpedaling and shifting and moving his hips and all this stuff so he looks great so that is the that is the update on iy's progress okay apparently DJ reader is looking fantastic out there I have said that DJ reader is the key to this pressure on Sunday night it looks like okay now he's questionable if he is doubtful okay because if it's a tendon apathy you know of the Achilles tendon or whatever the the injury may be he didn't look like it was bothering him at all but you know it could flare up inflammation and all these things so he's doubtful I don't know if they will upgrade him if they will upgrade him you know 90 minutes before the game but you probably won't see him uh now this news about Brian Branch being moved to safety but then not being moved to safety him playing safety in certain situations um I think in game one if you don't have iffy you gotta play Brian Branson's safety primarily and you let Ami Robertson be the nickel because I don't have any confidence in Brandon Joseph playing with the big boys okay Brandon Joseph is a nice depth piece or whatever the case may be but if you're going to have him up and you're going to start him opposite Kirby Joseph no no um and it it's not even that he's going to be starting it's just that okay when Brian Branch moves into the nickel you only have Brandon Joseph back there opposite cor uh Kirby Joseph Joseph and Joseph is like a law firm okay um but the Brandon Joseph is probably the one that's going to lose you some cases so I think that if this is the case if if he does not if if he if if he okay say that three times fast if if he doesn't play then I feel like you gotta put um you just got to leave Brian Branch back there um because no I don't want to see Brandon Joseph getting in unless we're blowing them out but I don't want to give Matthew Stafford the ability to pick on anyone I want Matthew Stafford to be trying to pick on Kirby Joseph much to his demise okay not his Trin his demise um so this is good news as I said if we see DJ reader for 10 15 snaps like I said before I hope he bullies just bullies mercilessly Jonah Jackson right I hope he just lines up over the top of Jonah Jackson and shows them why we let him go okay so much so that he'll have one of those mysterious thumbnail or hang nail injuries that he has to keep him you know those injuries that keep him out of the game you know things of that nature so this is what I want to see from um DJ reader early often consistent constant pressure early often consistent constant pressure we know that if Matthew Stafford starts moving around in the pocket there starts forcing things he will throw interceptions he will get uh strip sacked he will probably bang his hand on a helmet okay this is what happens with Matthew Stafford okay he does Bang Hands On helmets he did it in the NFC or the the wild card game he's been doing it throughout his career you know what I mean so this is something now obviously we're not trying to injure him but he just has this uncanny ability to whack his hand on helmets like I've seen him do this more than any other quarterback has done it so I don't know what it is about him whether it's just the arm angles you know he throws from different arm angles and all these things and maybe he just he zigs when he should zag or something like this with his arm I I don't know what it is but this is what I want to see from the Lion's front and DJ reader is going to play any percentage of plays uh I think it's players to get commercials uh and the like so with I'm and R st Brown appearing in Netflix's show receiver and being featured in a Little Caesar's commercial with fellow receiver Alum George KD Sam Le Porter showing up in a Gatorade commercial during the Ravens Chiefs opening game and Dan Campbell's Applebee's commercial debuting during the game as well I believe I was correct I counted Three Lions last night on the national stage on the opening night of NFL football game number one no the lions were not playing in the game but they were well represented because Dan Campbell had his Applebee's commercial I'm and Ross St Brown and George KD had their Little Caesars commercial and they snuck Sam leap Porter into a Gatorade commercial that was primarily about you know Lamar Jackson but Sam leap Porter was snuck in there so Dan Campbell's new Applebee's ad is even better than the first one so the first one was the one that we saw last night on Tuesday Apple be's released a fantastic new ad for their 50 Cent boneless wings featuring Dan Campell the lion's head coach acknowledged that there would be more commercials to come the wait wasn't long as his second ad starring Campbell was released on Thursday just hours before the first game of the 2024 NFL season between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs okay in this new ad Campbell plays an assistant shift manager using a coaching style motivational speech to inspire his crew his natural mannerisms and sense of timing make the ad a hit okay if you didn't see it if you didn't see either one one of them they're funny Dan Campbell is a funny man okay they're funny um but this is the thing that I was talking about the Detroit Lions are becoming media Darlings they are in the spotlight they are getting commercials they are doing shows okay they're on series they're being the faces of certain things so now this is what you can expect if the Lions continue to win the Lions continue to perform the Lions continue to employ Dan Campbell which obviously they will the Detroit Lions will continue to be thrust into the national spot like you guys know that the NFL is Big narrative league right they push narratives look at the Jordan love garbage as I call it okay there's a narrative being pushed about Jordan love being the erir parent see what I did there Air Jordan okay I know you got it but you know I just had to highlight it I'm good like that anyway there is this narrative about Jordan love being the ER parent okay obviously hir not a i r okay all right I'm explaining too much but there's this narrative about him being the air parent to Aaron Rogers um there was this narrative last season that the Eagles were Unstoppable because of their tush push that proved to be false um Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league that's not a narrative that's the truth you know so they like to push their stories out there and they like to prop up certain teams and certain people all the Lions have to do is continue winning and they will be one of those teams does that make sense right so when I said that the lions were becoming media Darlings a couple of months ago it seems to be true remember when I said that the lions were very good for business because our fans are so crazy and so passionate we sell out we sell out preseason games okay and then not to be outdone I guess the Seattle Seahawks fans went and did the same thing in their preseason finale okay but the Detroit Lions fans sold for field out to go see a preseason game to not see Jared G to not see Aman R st Brown to not see Sam laap Porter or J Mo or even khif Raymond to not see Craig Reynolds they didn't even see can vaki right they saw him dressed but they didn't see him play they went to see second and third and four stringers and to cheer loudly it was like practice for the fans the preseason game in at fortfield was practice for the fans for what they're going to do on Sunday night against the Los Angeles ramps so our fans practice not just our players our fans practice this is why the Detroit Lions are up and coming in the media darling ranks this this is why you see so many Prime Time games the Detroit Lions have probably as many Prime Time games as you can have in one season we've got five games one two three four five out of how many games 17 five games are in the one o00 slot okay that Monday regular slot that that it seems like everybody is in okay we we only got five of those just five we open up the season on Sunday night okay we got Monday night game we got Thursday night game we got you know Thanksgiving of course we only have five games in that 1:00 slot that means that the NFL is pushing The Narrative of the Detroit Lions they are pushing them out into the world hey everybody the Detroit Lions are here this is what the NFL is doing by giving us all these games by going hey why don't we give the Lions these commercials you think they didn't know that Applebee's contacted Dan Campbell this is this is an NFL campaign this they got Brock pie they got saquin Barkley okay and they're going to have others you think Applebees isn't working with the NFL on this think the NFL doesn't know you think the money is going to the Detroit Lions and the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles you think that's what's happening no no my friend it's not what's happening so Detroit Lions are on their way they are rising they are not falling all right um so Ryan Van venberg says the Jets have six Prime Time games if you count Thanksgiving then so do the Lions all right so imagine that they put them right next to the Jets who inexplicably I mean obviously because of Karen okay okay I'm not going to act like I don't know what Karen does for the dollar the NFL dollar you know what I mean Karen Aaron whatever you want to call him um Perryman 247 says those those fans that didn't live to see it might rise up um just a quick point of order if you start feeling things on your shoulders or against your hands or rubbing against your arms and you look to your left and right and you don't see anything I might have to leave the stadium I might have to leave the stadium so you know you know if you if you cheering really loud and then you just go like this and you just start cheering louder than you could ever cheer before and you start speaking in a language that you don't know leave and seek help that's all I'm saying uh booo says the Jets make a lousy AR platform all right so let me go ahead and get to got a couple more segments here um so our next segment is lion siiz expectations okay lion siiz expectations is our next segment so what is lions size expectations well Jared gof and Dan Campbell spoke about their expectations going into the game so very quickly Jared GF on week one against the Rams Jared G spoke to the media about the upcoming season opener against the Rams at for field he emphasized the importance of starting the season strong and the excitement of playing in front of the home crowd golf highlighted the improve movements the team has made during the off seon and expressed confidence in the Lion's ability to compete at a high level He also mentioned the significance of facing his former team and the motivation it brings Dan Campbell uh on his expectations he talked about um the Lions as they prepare to face the Rams he spoke about the energy and excitement that the Ford uh field crowd will bring and how it can positively impact the team's performance Campbell emphasized the importance of playing with intensity and focus and he expects play his players to give their best effort on every play he also highlighted the need for discipline and execution particularly in key moments of the game all right um so Jared GF is confidence in the ability to compete at a high level I mean that Jared G you know he he's going to give his boiler plate you know compete at a high level you know everyone do your job and all these things obviously it's it's extra sweet when he gets to play against the the Rams um one second uh so his extrac when he gets to to compete against the Rams obviously there's extra motivation obviously when you got a guy in Shawn McVey I I I don't care if they made up or or if Shawn McVey called him um I believe there was a report how Shawn McVey said that he had called him or whatever the case may be and smooth things out and jarro go was like yeah I haven't spoken to him so obviously there's things going on there um and jere go is going to be Juiced up for this game now you're not going to see it on his face right you're not going to see it um he's not going to speak too much about it but every chance you get he's got a chip on his shoulder he's got a chip on his shoulder because he was dumped by this franchise and this franchise told him he wasn't good enough for La okay now Aaron Donald came out uh Shady McCoy and deshun Jackson have a a podcast together and Aaron Donal was on there um and this is this is where Aaron Donald raised Shady McCoy and beat the brakes off of him but uh he was very complimentary of Goff and he said he believes that the reason that they moved on was because Jered go was young and they were just trying to win now right so he said it was it was something that worked out for everybody because now Jared gof has been put in a position where he has developed into what they were looking for um when they brought Matthew Stafford in CU Matthew Stafford was a veteran that had been around and so on and so forth and Shawn McBay is very impatient right so Shawn McVey I think was reading his own press clippings he's not the greatest guy in the world he's very abrasive you know what I mean he's kind of like he's kind of like John Gruden right he's got you know smile for the camera and everything but he's got that that different personality behind closed doors um and on the sidelines sometimes as jarro go found out but Aaron Donald didn't have anything bad to say about Jared G said it worked out for everybody um now for Jared G's career and his trajectory he's in the best spot possible so uh that is you know pretty much that's the expectations that we have uh the that the Lions players have they have expectations to get things going hold on uh sorry my cat was being an ass it's not my cat it's my wife's cat uh I'm not a fan of his um but yeah all right so the last segment that we have and we want to go ahead and get to it um I thought this I thought the Packers game was going to start while we were on um but it's not so we'll try to get to it before uh we'll try to get to this segment before the game starts obviously I want to see Jordan love get his tail beat in South Paulo Brazil um but keep my name out your effing mouth shout out Will Smith and should we really shout him out should we really do that I don't know all right so Matthew Stafford has expressed his displeasure with Detroit Lions safy Kirby Joseph criticizing him for what he perceives as dirty play the tension between the two players stems from last year's playoff matchup where the Lions narrowly defeated the Rams 24 to 3 during the game Joseph delivered a low hit on Rams tight end Tyler higgy resulting in a torn ACL and MCL for Higg Stafford confronted Joseph on the field calling him dirty AF and expressing his frustration with Joseph's tackling style Stafford reiterated his feelings during a recent media appearance emphasizing that he believes Joseph's actions are not in line with how the game should be played despite the criticism Joseph has embraced his role as a hard-hitting Defender and remains a key player for the Lions defense Matthew Stafford Let It Go man Let It Go keep our names out your mouth you know look you had your opportunity okay you had your opportunity to to you know ingratiate yourself with the city you had your opportunity to give props to the fans and to congratulate them and to be gracious in your defeat and you didn't do it now you can't stop talking about the Lions you got the question you could have just said you know said what I said back then you know and it is what it is and we'll move forward no but you just had to touch on it you had to talk about how you don't think he plays the game the right way uh you're still trying to push that narrative for your fans to believe that Kirby Joseph is dirty now if you go back and look at the game there were multiple times where the Rams players went low on Sam lto but Lions fans aren't calling the Rams players dirty you're just doing it as the quarterback back in the face of the team who has won a Super Bowl so now you have some pull and some cache and you're using it to say to try to paint a narrative and push a narrative that Kirby Joseph is dirty now what happens when you push a narrative that a player is dirty sometimes other players retaliate right sometimes players try to police those quote unquote dirty players right so you're setting Kirby Joseph up for possible targeting you saying this about Kirby Joseph again means that maybe someone on your team on the offense offensive lineman wants to get downfield maybe Kirby Joseph comes in on a safety Blitz and an offensive line has revenge on his mind you understand what I'm saying so Matthew Stafford very Bush League player very Bush League I think that he needs to keep names out of his mouth he needs to stop talking about the Detroit Lions he needs to move on Matthew Stafford is no longer a Detroit Lion we do not want you number nine in Detroit is wayo okay that's the only number nine that I know y' you guys know a number nine in Detroit on the back of that Jersey it says Williams I don't know the Stafford guy you know like I said I've never been a big fan of Stafford my my fandom of Stafford was highest uh just like everyone's when he came back in his rookie season with separated shoulder and and through the game-winning touchdown against the uh the Browns that was at its peak okay that was at his Peak again and I'll say this I'm not a Stafford fan Matthew Stafford was in Detroit for 12 years no playoff wins no division titles okay for the people that are fans of Matthew Stafford they will say but but the organization but but but but but I don't want to get too far into it but was it the organization playing against the Dallas Cowboys that got intercepted and F and strip sacked on the last Drive of the game when we still had a chance to drive down there get points and win it was that the organization that did that or was that Matthew Stafford okay so I have no love for Stafford I have made this clear Jared Goff is my quarterback that's my quarterback okay and Matthew Stafford is not all right let's see what you guys are saying in the chat um before we get out of here all right so so the Ron 99 says and you know that McVey complained in the pregame meeting with the officials 100% 100% and that's what happens when teams try to paint a narrative against another player oh you you dirty and it's on film and then you know the coach goes and he's telling watch this guy you know so we're getting unnecessary penalties and personal fouls and we're trying to get that player ejected you know it's all gamesmanship it's all games [ __ ] but I think that when you put a another player in danger when I I joined the network if if you if you played the lions in week three and you had won two games and lost one of them big chance that Matthew Stafford was not going to beat you that's just weak three now that's week three if you play the if you in week two and you played the Lions and you were 1 and0 chances are you were going to go 2 and 0 because you were a winning team your record was one game over 500 isn't that crazy that's crazy right all his wins were crap teams 100% number nine belongs to J by stupid it's the showboating he does while in mid playay after interceptions in the playoffs what do you mean what do you mean did he almost fumble did he get like dude you showboating after an interception do you know prime time do you know Deion Sanders who would run down the field set the tone for this culture which has complete changed the fortunes of the Detroit Lions organization the city the fan base right so that in itself was more important than what a Super Bowl could do because you can buy a Super Bowl right you can buy a Super Bowl you can get all the high price free agents that you want in one year and then put yourself in cap hell for five six years going forward and then what happens when you do that is you have nothing once all of those players are gone that won the Super Bowl that you purchased you have no culture you have no backbone you have no foundation so what we've done is we've set up a foundation for the foreseeable future does that make sense well sick argument we also have to we also have to to take into account last year Kirby was playing behind Kindle vildor and cam Sutton so there were a lot of situations where defense certain parts of the defense was covering for other parts of the defense now again I'm I'm not going to be the guy that that bags on kindall vildor because I don't think Kindle vildor was supposed to be in that spot he wasn't supposed to be a starter he was brought in to be a backup and he was thrust into a starting rle so that's like there's a lot of stuff that goes into it you know what I mean says you can't compare Stafford to golf in Detroit because of the team ah no Stafford you had Megatron you had some good teams with Stafford now okay you had in in in 2014 I mean what did they have have a top five offense and a top five defense you had Sue Fairley you had Glover Quinn you had a heto you know you had a a good secondary you had F fantastic defensive line play okay your linebackers were good that one no so in that one year where you had the immaculate team what did you do with it in the one year okay that Jared gof had this Immaculate team what did he do with it he went to the NFC championship game and the one year that Stafford had it if you want to say it was just one year okay we say the we'll take the best team that Stafford had and we'll take the best team that gof had so if you want to say it was just one year with Stafford and one year with gof Stafford went out in the first round after being intercepted and strip sacked on the same Drive how does that happen he inter uh he was intercepted and the guy fumbled during the return and it was recovered by the Detroit Lions they have four more downs and on that fourth down Stafford got strip sacked and that was the game what kind of coaches did Matt have Matt had uh Jim Schwarz who what did he win assistant of the year as a defensive coordinator Jim Schwarz was a good coach uh Jim Caldwell was a good coach come on now Matt Stafford had two good coaches now Jim Schwarz might not be the the best head coach but he's a good coach okay so sick argument says Matt went 11 and5 9 and 7 9 and 7 8 and 8 with Caldwell same record as McVey so what's the difference okay 63% winning on the road from golf and we were what 10% winning on the road with Stafford I'm turning red what do you mean I'm turning red all I know jrod is I'm one of the people that saw Matthew Stafford throw away countless games by throwing pick sixes at the wrong time or fumbling at the wrong time on the last on the last drive and things of this nature now did he have that magical season with Jim Caldwell where he came back uh and they had like half of the half of the season eight games where there were like game-winning drives yes he did that yes he did that did that get us anything did that get us a playoff win did that get us a divisional uh a divisional title all right Jordan love throws a touchdown to Jaden Reed on a all busted up coverage and zero ability to tackle by by the uh Philadelphia Eagles secondary no sick argument you are not exaggerating okay Stafford when we had Stafford we could not win on the road okay cool touchdown has been called back because there there were fouls by both teams on the play so they will have to replay third down they will have to replay third down I mean this drive should have been over before this uh the Eagles came out hot but then there was a a blown coverage on the the previous third down which allowed uh Jordan love an easy pass out to the flats and they picked up the first down I'm looking at everything jrod but I'm also looking at personal responsibility oh quinan Mitchell
