'S CARE. WE HAVE A LINK ON OUR WEBSITE, KCCI DOT COM, AND JASON, REALLY GRATEFUL. PHIL WAS TAKING TO SAFETY. ESPECIALLY AS TONIGHT'S STORMS ROLL IN. YEAH, ABSOLUTELY. YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO BE OUT THERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS. I MEAN, WE JUST WE BASICALLY TOOK A LIGHTNING STRIKE HERE AT THE STATION THAT TOOK ALL THE LIGHTS OUT FOR A LITTLE BIT. SO, YEAH, LOOKING OUT THERE RIGHT NOW, YOU CAN SEE WHY. STORMS RIGHT OVER THE TOP OF US. MITCHELLVILLE. ALL THE WAY DOWN TOWARDS HARTFORD. AND YOU ZOOM OUT A LITTLE BIT. THIS LINE, LITTLE WAVY. WE'VE GOT MORE STORMS OFF TO THE SOUTHWEST, OUT NEAR DEXTER, DOWN TO YOUR CORWITH NEAR CRESTON AND EVEN BEYOND THERE THAT ARE CONTINUING TO WORK THEIR WAY ACROSS THE STATE. NO SEVERE STORMS OUT THERE RIGHT NOW, A AND THE SEVERE THREAT IS LOW AS WE HEAD IN TOWARDS THE EVENING. BUT YOU'LL HEAR MORE LIGHTNING. THESE ARE VERY ACTIVE STORMS AND YOU'LL SEE QUITE A BIT MORE RAIN AS THESE CONTINUE TO JUST DUMP THAT RAIN ACROSS THE STATE. AREAS LIKE FORT DODGE UPWARDS TOWARDS ALGONA WESTWARD, NOT SITTING TOO BAD. STILL COULD GET CLIPPED WITH A LITTLE BIT IN FORT DODGE, BUT ANYWHERE WEST OF THERE. NOT LOOKING BAD AT ALL. LOOK AT THIS SHOT. I'M GOING TO STEP OUT OF THE WAY SO YOU CAN SEE IT. HEATHER SENT THIS IN. IT LOOKS LIKE AN ALIEN SPACESHIP, DOESN'T IT? THAT WAS THE SHELF CLOUD AS IT MADE ITS WAY INTO PERRY. STORMS ADVANCE THEIR WAY IN AND WHILE THEY HAVE PUT DOWN QUITE A BIT OF RAIN, NEARLY A HALF INCH IN THE METRO SO FAR, AND WE'RE NOT DONE YET. OVER TWO INCHES FOR ALGONA AND AREAS RIGHT ALONG THE BORDER PICKED UP AS MUCH AS THREE. YOU CAN SEE THAT LITTLE AREA THAT'S HIGHLIGHTED IN RED THERE. I'M SURE WE'RE GOING TO HAVE SOME SIZABLE NUMBERS BEFORE THE NIGHT IS OVER. YOU CAN SEE THAT LINE CONTINUING TO SHOVE OFF TO THE EAST BY 2 A.M. MANY OF THE STRONGER STORMS WILL BE OUT OF HERE. AND AS WE HEAD INTO THE OVERNIGHT, STILL SEEING SOME LINGERING SPOTTY SHOWERS FOR THE METRO DOWN NEAR SHERIDAN, PICKING UP ON SOME MORE RAIN AND WE'LL KEEP THE CLOUDS AROUND FOR EVEN LONGER. IN F FACT, MUCH OF THE DAY TOMORROW WILL LIKELY HAVE CLOUD COVER REMNANTS FROM THESE STORMS. BUT ONCE THOSE ARE GONE, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A BEAUTIFUL STRETCH OF WEATHER. CLEAR SKIES, COOLER TEMPERATURES. THE MUGGINESS WILL BE GONE, BUT AREAS TO THE EAST STILL COULD PICK UP QUITE A BIT OF RAIN. INCH AND A HALF MORE FOR GRINNELL, BURLINGTON. JUST OVER THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH IN LAMONI, COMING IN AT A HALF INCH ADDITIONAL. LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE IN THE TEMPERATURES HERE THOUGH. THIS FRONT SWEEPING ALL THAT HOT AND MUGGY AIR OUT AND REPLACING IT WITH SOME PRETTY COMFY STUFF OUT THERE. I'VE HAD A FEW PEOPLE SAY, MAN, I'VE REALLY ENJOYED THE HEAT. WHY IS IT GOING ANYWHERE? WELL, WE'RE MAKING OUR WAY TOWARDS FALL SO THAT HEAT, IT IS FLEETING. NOT GOING TO BE HERE THAT MUCH LONGER. LOW 70S TO START THE DAY TOMORROW AND WE WIND UP INTO THE LOW 80S. MORNING WILL BE YOUR HIGHEST LIKELIHOOD FOR ANY CHANCES FOR SHOWERS OUT THERE. BUT AS I SAID BEFORE, CLOUDS WILL LINGER AROUND YOUR COMFORT CAST. PRETTY GOOD STUFF WILL BE IN THE 80S ON SATURDAY. STILL LOOKING COMFY ON SUNDAY. GOING TO BE DOWNRIGHT PLEASANT THOUGH AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE START OF NEXT WEEK. AND IN FACT, IT'S GOING TO BE PLEASANT FOR LONGER THAN THAT. WE HAVE GOT DAYS O OF SUNSHINE HERE 85 ON SATURDAY, 79 ON SUNDAY. LOOK AT THE MORNING LOW ON MONDAY, 54. THAT'S GOING TO BE QUITE THE CHANGE FROM THE LOW 70S. WE'VE BEEN WAKING UP TO BACK INTO THE 80S, THOUGH BY TUESDAY THAT SUNSHINE DOES NOT QUIT. AND WE'RE GOING TO CONTINUE WITH THAT CLEAR THROUGH THURSDAY. SPOTTY CHANCE FOR A SHOWER OR STORM ON FRIDAY. I KNOW WE'VE GOT A LOT OF PEOPLE LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT CY-HAWK SHOWDOWN ON SATURDAY. AS IT SITS NOW, THINGS LOOK DECENT FOR THAT. WE'LL SEE AS WE GET A LITTLE BIT CLOSER, BUT BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND AND
