STORM CHANCES RETURN FOR SOME AS WE GO IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS, COOLING DOWN FOR THE UPCOMING WEEKEND, SO THERE IS RELIEF IN THE FORECAST. BUT SUNSHINE? NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE STATE, YOU'RE GETTING A LOT OF IT AND WE'RE GOING TO CONTINUE WITH THAT THROUGH THE REST OF TODAY. WARMING UP THESE TEMPERATURES, THE ACTUAL AIR TEMPERATURE, WE ARE IN THE LOW 90S AND UPPER 80S STATEWIDE, BUT WITH THE DEW POINTS AS HIGH AS THEY ARE RIGHT NOW, MID TO LOW 70S, THAT'S AS PRETTY MUCH AS TROPICAL AS WE GET HERE IN IOWA. THEY COULD PROBABLY CLIMB A LITTLE BIT MORE, BUT THE SECONDS IT'S GOING TO MEAN FOR VERYRY HH HUMIDITY LEVELS AND JUST DOWNRIGHT MISERABLE OUTSIDE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE OUTDOORS FOR FOR A LENGTHY PERIOD, WHICH YOU JUST SHOULDN'T BE. JUST DON'T DON'T TEST IT. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, TAKE BREAKS, STAY HYDRATED. ALL OF THE ABOVE. HOUR BY HOUR. BUT BY 6:00 IT REALLY WINDS DOWN AND WE'RE NOT REALLY GOING TO SEE TOO MUCH MORE AFTER THAT. THIS IS WHAT THE SEVERE WEATHER RISK LOOKS LIKE FOR TONIGHT. THE LEVEL THREE IS FARTHER NORTH. THAT'S WHAT I MEAN WHEN I SAY WE'RE NOT THE MAIN FOCUS, BUT WE ARE GOING TO BE IN ITS GENERAL VICINITY FURTHER TO THE NORTH CENTRAL IOWA AND SOUTHERN IOWA, DRY OUT OF THE SEVERE WEATHER RISK COMPLETELY. BUT AREAS EVEN WEBSTER COUNTY, HUMBOLDT COUNTY, SURROUNDING CALHOUN COUNTY, AND POCAHONTAS COUNTY STILL GOING TO BE LOOKING AT A CHANCE FOR SOME OF THOSE STRONGER STORMS TO DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT SO IT CAN WAKE YOU UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. POTENTIALLY. BUT THE MORE HIGHER TORNADO THREAT AND JUST THE OVERALL GREATER SEVERE WEATHER RISK IN GENERAL WILL BE FURTHER NORTH AS FAR AS HOUR BY HOUR GOING INTO THE REST OF TUESDAY, WE'LL HAVE A LITTLE MORE CLOUD COVER. WE'LL HAVE A LITTLE BIT MORE OF THOSE RAIN CHANCES. THEY CAN POP UP HERE AND THERE EVEN AS WE GO INTO TUESDAY NIGHT, BUT THAT'S GOING TO HELP BRING DOWN THE TEMPERATURES JUST A BIT. WILL BE GLIDING DOWNWARD, BUT IT'S STILL GOING TO BE PRETTY HOT TOMORROW FOR TODAY. THE ENTIRE STATE GETTING THE TRIPLE DIGIT FEEL-LIKE TEMPERATURES AND EVEN GETTING CLOSE TO THAT 110 MARK. AND THEN AS WE GET INTO TOMORROW AFTERNOON, LOOK AT THIS, WE'RE GOING TO SEE CENTRAL IOWA, SOUTHERN IOWA, AND ESPECIALLY SOUTHEASTERN IOWA, A BETTER CHANCE FOR THE TRIPLE DIGITS, 100 TO 110 RANGE FURTHER NORTH, LIKE IN FORT DODGE, ALGONA EVEN MASON CITY AREA. YOU'RE LOOKING AT THE 90S AND UPPER 80S WITH THE FEEL-LIKE TEMPERATURES AND WE ARE CATCHING EVEN MORE OF A BREAK AS WE GO THROUGHOUT WEDNESDAY.
