Trump Team Melting Down Over Kamala Harris Campaign | Tim Take

hey guys it's Tim Miller from the bullwark we are less than 24 hours since Joe Biden stepped aside uh from his re-election campaign and I got to tell you the Trump team does not know what the hell to do uh these guys are so lost right now I want to just run down their responses to just show how badly they are flailing um but let's just step back a second and um and put this into some greater context Tim Alberta who writes for the Atlantic U really insightful guy really well sourced with Republic an um probably we'll have him on the pod in the YouTube feed here coming up soon uh he he wrote a really smart piece about how the entire Trump strategy of this campaign was premised on this contrast which is like a political term of art for like the elevator pitch how how you how you define a campaign and their frame was strong vers weak like Trump is strong Trump is a tough guy Joe Biden is old and scen out Trump will stand up you know for America uh Biden is confused and that's why Putin entered Ukraine and why Hamas attacked Israel just incredible that he can frankly be even running anything guy can't he can't put two sentences together he's running can't find his way off the stage see all the stairs around here how the hell do you not where is the stair he says where is the stair it was all Bs like it was it was BS but like there was there was some truth to it in the sense that voters felt that way like if you if you looked at polls voters felt like they didn't like Trump's attitude they don't they don't like his you know cruelty they don't like his bigotry but they they do think that he's tough he's not he's he's a very he's a weak little man but that doesn't matter that's what perception matters in politics and the debate happens and it just reinforced everything they wanted to make this campaign about like Joe Biden is dithering and doesn't know how to finish sentences Donald Trump you know is in Command right and and then the assassination attempt happens and and Trump stands up and he has the bloody ear it was almost like a movie where everything was playing out exactly how the Trump campaign wanted it to play out for their political ends and then there was a plot change then Joe Biden decided to drop out of the race and now we have almost certainly kamla Harris as the Democratic opposition and These Guys these guys are lost like the strong weak frame doesn't really work anymore you have a prosecutor candidate on the other side you have somebody that is younger more vigorous running against the oldest presidential candidate in history now in Donald Trump and and you can see now how lost they are by their response in the first 24 hours a good campaign a campaign that knew what their message was that knew that kamla was likely going to be the other option if Joe Biden stepped aside would have had a clear new frame what's the new contrast uh well let me show you how badly they don't have one for starters Donald Trump himself what's he bleeding about on his social media media this morning it's not even kamla he's still talking about Joe Biden he writes this it's a new day and Joe Biden doesn't remember quitting the race yesterday he's demanding his campaign schedule and arranging talks with she of China like it's I guess a joke about how Joe Biden has dementia uh but again good joke I guess you know some people might laugh at that joke uh but but it plays into the frame of the campaign that ended yesterday plays into the old frame goes on Democrats pick a candidate crooked Joe Biden he lose the debate badly then panics after mistake after mistake and is told he can't win and they decide to pick another candidate again this idea of panicking Joe Biden that plays into their old mindset Biden weak Trump strong but that that is over that campaign's over that's not what this campaign is going to be about anymore they're still stuck in it 24 hours later then we have the strategist for Trump's campaign Chris lasv there's been a lot of compliments about levita about how him and Susie WS are much more serious and running a much more professional campaign that Trump ever has in the past and and there's some truth to some of that but not that professional uh here's Chris's responses yesterday he does a tweet at Pete Budaj calling him a in all caps he does I think a trans joke I think this is a attempted a trans joke about how Joe Biden now identifies as VP or maybe that's a joke about how Joe Biden's confused again I don't know um but they had nothing I they they had some posts about immigration and and kamla being the immigration Zar will definitely be one of the things they attack her on so so they have kind of one attack on her but um but the rest of this stuff is all over the place I I mean like when your when your strategist is on Twitter putting in all caps at the Secretary of Transportation that's not that's not the sign of a discipline message um and then we have Steven Miller um little little gobbles there Santa Monica gobbles um I always can't decide do I want to call him Gobles or Gollum he like a little of both anyway here he is on Laura Ingram last night let's give that a watch they held a primary people they had ballots they filled out circles they went to the voting booth they spent money on advertisements and as president Trump said the the the Republican Party suent tens of millions of dollars running against Joe Biden now they just woke up one morning and said never mind we're cancelling the entire primary we're we're getting rid of our candidate and we're pretending the election has never even happened and we're going to let donor handick a new nominee I don't I don't even know what to say how what is that voice I I don't even know what to say to that um that's not a coherent message uh but the Democrats don't like democracy because Joe Biden decided to retire because he was 81 I I I don't I don't think that's Landing with anybody um but good try then you have Shan Hannity here's Sean Hannity's attack on kamla Harris she wants to ban plastic straws I love my plastic straw I hate those paper straws all right now I will say not a paper straw man myself um I like the plastic straw though I do like these rubber straws I got a rubber straw right here I recommend those um not not sure that's going to be the most potent message though that's what you got night one maybe they'll come up with something better later in the campaign uh and then you have the weirdos on social media getting even weirder Laura lomer who we talked about in a previous YouTube video who is this avowed islamophobe you know somebody that said she wants a white ethnostate uh she's acknowledged from the stage at a trump event so it's not like some random supporter like she would like Trump knows her called her out than her from the stage recently Laura lumer where is she where is Laura she is amazing she did a tweet KLA Harris isn't black I guess I guess this is a reference to the fact that she is the daughter of Indian and Jamaican immigrants and that doesn't count to this white person I don't I don't know uh and then we have Will Chamberlain who's been involved in a lot of the um of trumpist magga policy discussions he's I about to call him a heavyweight that's a little much though he he's you know they don't have any heavyweights on the policy side when it comes to magga nationalism but he's involved in and in a lot of these efforts to try to put some intellectual frame around trumpism uh you can see how intellectual it is with his tweet uh KL Harris shouldn't be president because she has no children now she does have stepchildren so I don't know I guess attacking people with stepchildren is going to be their strategy plastic straws no children not black people is a Joe Biden is old that's what they got right now that's what they got um seems to me like this race has been shaken up they don't know what their new frame is and um and you gota you got to feel good about that if you're if you're the Democrats um we'll we'll continue monitoring what the folks on the right are saying about the likely
