College Football Parlay Picks Week 1 (Saturday 8/31/24) | Top CFB Bets & Predictions

Week 1 CFB Bets what's up everyone Ben here for odd Chopper and it is time yes college football began last week with week zero and we did do a parlay video we'll talk about that but now we get a Full Slate of Saturday games and you know what we're doing we're running it back of course we're going to take three of them we're going to throw them together we're going to try to cash a plus money though last time I saw you guys on this video was week zero hit the first one hit the second one Georgia Tech was great New Mexico should have won outright why not even close now they played in a hurricane didn't I'll be honest didn't even consider it uh the weather killed us there who knows what would have happened but gave ourselves a chance that's all you can ask for let's do it again right now here we go bringing up the board and yes if you know we're getting a little greasy here we're going to get some weird teams on UMass vs EMU this parly starting with my team of all teams it is my team and yes they made it UMass UMass starts off the barlay minus two and a half at minus 1118 on FanDuel this is one of my favorite bets this might be my favorite bet of the week I have this at minus one and a half uh and minus 135 on the money line personally we'll talk about how you could get access ACC to those lines as well still like it at two and a half atus 1118 don't love it at three certainly not going beyond that Eastern Michigan and ums Eastern Michigan loses two two all Mac linebackers guys that I'm talking 130 plus tackles they lose their entire backfield they lose all their quarterbacks they bring in Cole Snider the ruter Buffalo quarterback not a huge fan to be completely honest they were you know in a bowl last year not a fan of this team I think they got significantly worse they brought in some guys via the portal like every team but not major major influx of talent UMass three and nine last year they're at home bring back their quarterback you want to talk about using the portal to your advantage look at the UMass roster I'm talking Clemson Georgia Tech NRE Dame Dartmouth not to that level but I'm talking about transfers on trans they brought in six transfers just in the secondary they are throwing bodies at the problem and they do have problems particularly on defense they gave up nearly 40 points per game stability at quarterback good receiver and Simpson on the outside multiple backs to use the offensive line absolutely is better this year UMass is on the upswing are they going to be in Elite program no could they fight for a bowl I think it's possible I bet over on their win total I think they win this game they opened as dogs here and it has crossed all the way through now it's pushing three there's still a little time to get on this UMass gets the job done at home they have stability at quarterback they've got a lot more Talent on this roster than they've had in years past they are building towards being somewhat respectable and I do believe that they get it done this week so give me UMass as the first leg of this parlay now before we string the second one together I did mention uh if you have not been on the marketplace and this game I am just I am such a backer of Miami this year I really don't know how I get away from this spot and I respect Florida Florida's playing the world's hardest schedule no doubt um they're not that bad of a team but I think they're worse than most of the teams they're playing that's for sure now the games in Gainesville that obviously helps them you don't want to be going into the swamp and messing around Miami has talent everywhere Ward huge fan he was Incarnate Word then Washington State now he's here they've got everything that you could want on that offensive line they've got weapons all over the place defensively this is Miami we're talking about they are recruiting back to Miami levels they're bringing in bodies serious serious Talent all over this now the coaching staff normally I don't talk about coaching staff in videos like this but you have to with Miami Miami lost a game where all they had to do was kneel the ball that's not the first time that Mario Chris Ball has done that apparently apparently if you read the reports he hired a coach specifically designed to not screw that up like a time management person if that is true that's a serious win for this program because he recruits at an elite level his in-game adjustments at times leave a little to be desired you look at Florida and what they do they bring in uh some Talent as well and and I was impressed with you know Mertz and whatnot I just have them kind of behind I know it's not the most glamorous analysis I just look at Miami and Florida I think they're somewhat similar teams I just have Miami ahead at most positions I'd rather have Miami's quarterback rather have Miami skill position players I'd rather have Miami's defense I wish Miami was at home that's the only disadvantage but inside three it's going to be a competitive game a gutsy game I think Miami could string it together this year and win the entire ACC I know this doesn't affect that I will call for them to go on the road go into the swamp and emerge with a hard fought but a win itself two and a half at minus 110 is a line that I can get on board with dynamic dynamic signal caller if you have not seen cam W play mark your calendar sit down at 3:30 get some food and enjoy yourself because I think Miami Florida is gonna be a great game but I think Miami is the rightful favorite and there's actually a little value left on that particularly at two and a half minus 110 so give me the U not the biggest fan of them but give me the U to get it done you Mass on the board Miami on the board who said it up we're not going to any these madeup schools even though this one in Discord we'll talk about that uh here it is another two and a half so what a parlay I'm making three games all with the same spread no it wasn't intentional that is just how it worked out give me Texas A&M in College Station to get the job done against the Fighting Irish uh full disclosure can't stand Notre Dame sorry to anyone that's a fan uh just not my team really really don't root for them awesome team in the past I'm not super sold on your coach to be honest uh we'll see third year here for him but I think there's going to be some challenges so Riley Leonard takes over no problem with him biggest problem for him is that he's working behind a completely new offensive line and you don't simply rep you're talking about Joe alt you're talking about all Americans draft choices and there was three of them uh that's a problem now they reload with a couple and they've got some guys with starting experience big drop off there look on the outside you know both Collins and Co I think they'll be all right there backfield will be fine defensively got to give Notre Dame credit that front is dangerously good no doubt about it one of the better units uh the secondary they've got some real talent All-American back there but they did lose a pair of starters like all these teams you know there's going to be some losses there's going to be some transfers in high value transfers Notre Dame has a very solid defense and an offense that I'm somewhat not sold on uh on the road super hostile environment this is more about Texas A&M than Notre Dame though I like Texas A&M I'm a big fan of their new coach actually Riley Leonard's former coach at Duke Wegman at quarterback this guy knows what he's doing there's no doubt about it he was you know a lot of guys were playing when he played and he was healthy he was awesome big big fan he takes care of the ball he's efficient he he knows how to get it done he's got weapons all over the place they did lose some guys here and there but the offense returns pretty solidly and the offensive line makes leaps uh he's working behind a very solid unit there and then you look at Texas A&M I mean they recruited an extremely high level they brought in realtime transfers uh to bolster a defense that didn't need bolstering but it helps no doubt about it this team was seven and one at home last year this is a strong unit I look at that secondary Kansas State starter comes in multiple they brought in four transfers that started at the previous school now some of them big step up in competition when you're going from like the Mac or cusa or the sun Bel but man it helps uh no doubt about it and then that is just infused with all the talent that they have that they're building on their own this Texas A&M team is bad balanced they are dangerous and I think that they could with the right breaks this year contend in the SEC I will call for them to get it started with a win here against Notre Dame at home Wegman take care of the ball get some pressure on Riley Leonard don't get eaten up by the Notre Dame front and we'll get out of here and we'll be easy game let's just give it a shot let's see if we can get the goal is always can we get to the third leg intact we're going to certainly try again you don't hit these often but when you do a they make up for a lot of losses and B it's straight awesome no doubt about that so we are going to try to give it give it a shot and let's hope that UMass gets us started with a nice win tomorrow thanks
