THE DELRAY BEACH AREA. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE FOR SURE AND MORE SUN THAN CLOUDS THERE. IN THE MEANTIME, THOUGH, WE ARE TRACKING A FEW SHOWERS THAT ARE STARTING TO DEVELOP ALONG THE AFTERNOON SEA BREEZE INTO MARTIN COUNTY RIGHT AROUND STUART AREA AND A LITTLE BIT FARTHER NORTH JENSEN BEACH, PORT, PORT ST. LUCIE, UP TOWARDS INDIAN RIVER ESTATES AS WELL. THAT'S WHERE WE ARE SEEING SOME WET WEATHER STARTING TO DEVELOP. NO LIGHTNING STRIKES, BUT WE ARE GOING TO START TO SEE THOSE THUNDERSTORMS START TO BUILD AS THE AFTERNOON WEARS ON. AND YOU CAN SEE A COUPLE OF SHOWERS AND STORMS STARTING TO DEVELOP BACK ACROSS THE LAKE AS WELL. WE HAVE A LOT OF TROPICAL MOISTURE IN AND AROUND THE PENINSULA. PLUS, WE HAVE A FRONT SITTING ON TOP OF THE STATE. SO WITH THE DAYTIME HEATING WITH THAT SOUTH WIND IN PLACE, IT'S GOING TO BE VERY HUMID OUTSIDE. AND WE HAVE SO MUCH MOISTURE IN THE ATMOSPHERE THAT ANY THUNDERSTORM ONCE THEY GET GOING COULD PRODUCE SOME FLOODING RAINS. AND THAT'S GONNA BE THE STORY TODAY. TOMORROW AND INTO WEDNESDAY TO IN THE MEANTIME, IN THE BAY OF CAMPECHE E AND THE WESTERN GULF OF MEXICO RIGHT HERE. THIS IS NEWLY FORMED TROPICAL STORM FRANCINE WINDS OF 50 MILES AN HOUR MOVING TOWARDS THE WEST-NORTHWEST AT 5. SO FOR NOW, IT'S A VERY SLOW MOVING SYSTEM, BUT IT IS GOING TO MAKE A PUSH UP TOWARDS LOUISIANA. SO MAKING LANDFALL SOMETIME EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING AS A CATEGORY ONE WINDS OF 85 MILES AN HOUR SOMEWHERE BETWEEN HOUSTON AND NEW ORLEANS. IT WILL PRODUCE ANYWHERE FROM 6 TO 9 INCHES OF RAINFALL. AND THEN ONCE IT'S INLAND, IT WILL QUICKLY START TO FALL APART. SO THAT SYSTEM IS GOING TO STAY WELL TO THE WEST OF US. IN THE MEANTIME, OUT TOWARDS THE ATLANTIC WILL SERVE TO OTHER WAVES THAT WE'RE BOTH OF THEM HAVE ABOUT A 60% CHANCE OF DEVELOPING THE FIRST WAVE IS KNOWN AS INVEST. 92 AND COMPUTER MODELS ARE TAKING THAT ENERGY CLOSER TO THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS AS WE HEAD INTO THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. MODELS REALLY NOT TOO MUCH WITH THIS SYSTEM, BUT WE'LL SEE HOW IT PANS OUT OVER THE NEXT FEW. NOT EXPECTED TO AFFECT US HERE IN SOUTH FLORIDA. ALL RIGHT. A VIPER CAST SHOWS YOU CAN SEE THE SHOWERS AND STORMS STARTING TO GET GOING. THIS IS AROUND 02:00PM. THEN THEY'RE GOING TO START TO MOVE FARTHER INLAND. BUT THEN SOME OF THE STORMS WILL START TO PUSH BACK TOWARDS THE COAST AS WE HEAD INTO THE NIGHTTIME HOURS. SO COULD PRETTY MUCH RAIN AT ANY POINT TODAY. SO KEEP THOSE UMBRELLAS WITH YOU. 91 IS THE FORECASTED HIGH. THE WINDS OUT OF THE SOUTH AT 10 ABOUT A 60% CHANCE OF SEEING THOSE SHOWERS AND STORMS TOMORROW AND WEDNESDAY. MORE OF THE SAME TEMPERATURES JUST A LITTLE BIT
