a lot this week I was right on the Indonesia Saudi Arabia being a good match I was right unfortunately this is one I didn't want to be right about but I was right about Canada winning 2-1 what a disappointment now I gotta say one thing growing up Rahi and I went to Canada almost every year almost every year on family vacations does that qualify us for Canadian citizenship we want to ask our Canadian viewers because we would like it now we would like to like Canadian citizenship right boys yeah the kings of conaf Roy you're in a car tell us where are you headed because you're in the back of a car where are you going uh I was screaming during the game so my wife kicked me out and I thought why not drive to the Canadian border get my citizenship that way I could support a good soccer team a soccer team that's growing with good coaching with exciting players who care to play for their shirt that's where I'm headed Oh Canada my home native land I mean welcome welcome well I got I gotta welcome everyone from Canada and the US we're going to try to be uh we're going to try to do something here granted you got to you got to Canadian fans you got to give us this because we're in performance yeah uh you saying this was pich's worst game no it wasn't he's played so so much worse he is the most inconsistent player on our national team probably one of the most inconsistent in the world you go from looking like a little messy to looking like the guy that plays at the park near my house who has two broken ankles he's 57 years old I think he's a little crazy and he likes kicking a soccer ball around that's what he looks like and this game what was what was different about this game versus 67% of US soccer games 67% of US soccer games are awful they're a disaster to watch they're boring they're frustrating they're filled with dispossessions and losing the ball in the in the defensive half this is the us over the past years this is signature us performance and then what happens in the last 15 20 minutes we start attacking but it doesn't seem to be anywhere near going in it's just it's a standard us performance I have glad I'm glad you Ed 67 Roy because that was the last time 67 years ago was the last time Canada beat us on home soil so that that's very appropriate number that you used thank you it was so welld deserved it was so welld deserved the Press let's give Marsh a lot of credit on the one side was an interim manager and the team looked like they had no idea what they were doing that's the US and Ken was well drilled they pressed effectively bombito was excellent in the back whenever you had to deal with things and the Press got to us it got to the US I mean Tim ree gave the ball away so many times his partner Chris wicher wasn't much better yeah Johnny card also everyone gave the ball away yeah before we talk about how how much we sucked uh let's let's talk about the Canada man I mean Jacob schafberg look at the rise of this player you did call that but but but Roy look at the rise of this player man look look at look at how all their players were their players again you know Jonathan David Kyer and we've SE saying that that combination hasn't worked for a long time it's starting to work and they both played great matches this match B was excellent play Super well yeah bomo they have incredibly quick uh backline which you saw it time and time again with cowl attacking with pich attacking with uh Tillman attacking we couldn't break away from them we couldn't get away they would always catch up they'd always win the wall back and send it up they played a defensive Powerhouse of a game it was so impressive Canada is such an impressive team the way they've risen up if we would rise at the rate they're rising over the past few years we'd be one of the best in the world they have 3x the quality on their roster they have 3x the way they play they're now the best team in Kaka let's be real all in the past two years three years I know it's a long time coming but over the past two years we've really started I would say less I would say less rahy you and I were at the match last year US Canada in the Nations League final where we we we no offense to Canadian fans out there but we pretty much dominated you guys in that match it's been basically a year a year in change right Rahi a year in change yeah and and they've done this without Alonso Davies really having any good games under Jessie Mar she really hasn't fired yet so this is all with Alonso Davies not firing and by the way maybe their best player second best player ton Buchanan out just out hasn't played and and the guy who played and the guy who played his most fantastic match in that Uruguay match is K did not play this match he's you know he's injured as well so so it's they didn't have two of their studs and they still dominate us okay get now you guys can can rip into Johnny cardoso and and what he was doing in Tim re because I don't know what they were playing well I mean I think on the one hand you watch Canada and every time they did recover in in after pressing the balls were quick right the passing was quick it was wide or to the four it they had an idea of what they were doing the amount of times Chris Richards Tim ree are sitting on the ball thinking where do I pass where do I pass then I'm gonna pass it back to the goalie there is no understanding there's no sort of plan of where to play the ball and when it does get played we don't have the players Johnny cardoso I understand he's playing at a good club now Roy but I've seen nothing to suggest that he belongs on this national team I never have I never have with him from the first moment we started calling him up to today I know from a club perspective he's been on the rise he's been impressive he went from Brazil to Spain and he's doing well on the National Team level it's been poor from day one it continues to be poor I don't understand what he brings to this national team maybe our new coach will get something else out of him but he just doesn't seem to be up to the National Team level he's a disaster with the US and so is the tactical system what Jesse Marsh has done with Canada and what Herdman started is they saw the group of players they have some players are very strong with certain tactics some players are very strong at certain parts of the game but they have weaknesses across the board what they have done tactically is minimize those weaknesses and amplify those strengths what do we do with the us we've Amplified our weaknesses we're forcing players to build out of the back something Americans have never done because we want to play pretty because want to possess what why are we forcing the style of play that clearly doesn't work with this team it's unbearable to watch it's so many self-inflicted wounds I mean the amount of times the ball was given away in situations that you just cannot give the ball away Johnny what are you doing Tim ream what are you doing eunis Musa what are you doing the amount of I mean it's it's and I agree with you if they can't play in those places why are we playing ball into Johnny cardoso with three Defenders around him just play it long if you know enough what about brandan Aronson Brendan Aronson the entire game did the same thing he'll get the ball he'll do beautiful little shift like oh this guy looks good darts directly into a Canadian player 100% of the time yeah just fullon rocket launch to the Canadian players legs loses it yeah it's it's pretty harrowing because you know when we when we saw the US uh even last year again I'll go back to the year last year at last year at the Nations that we went to in Las Vegas they were at the top of conaf dominated and so much so that after that in our video after that we said look guys we are too good for conaf we it's time for us to look Beyond and and you know take it to the next level the amount this team has fallen like in terms of a freef fall it's like a meteor that's like crashing into the Earth they're basically they've Fallen they they've just dropped man I remember the ride at Disneyland you know remember Disneyland you go on that ride where like the it's like a freef Fall Ride remember that ride this what's happened at the US national of the G no Tower of Terror it was originally Terror yeah yeah for those International viewers go check it out but like but it's so crazy how this team has dropped and and and to everyone says I you guys have have backed up this narrative as well and I really want to go into the camp because I don't think these players are as close as everyone says if they were they'd know how to pass to each other the field man like you're just not that hard to pass to your teammate if you like him giving the ball properly don't send it to the Canadian guy my God man what you just what you just said saki is what I've been saying for five years and you guys kept beating me up about it that these players aren't as good as we're making them out to be this team is not as good as we're making him out to be look at player by player Timothy WEA rarely starts Musa rarely starts look across the board every single position these players don't regularly start for their Club teams there's a couple Anthony Robinson sure but where does he play We're acting like Anthony Robinson is the greatest thing in the history of left backs plays for fool but I Canada right yeah and I I've been critical of Jesse Marsh but look at what a well coached well- drilled team that has deficiencies in terms of skill level look what they can do right so I don't think this is about the quality of players it's about the understanding between players and certainly yes the coaching and the Federation the management the biggest thing I have is again we have two wasted games now two wasted games why couldn't we have brought in why why not bring in willford nzi just to coach two games just say you know maybe down the road you're gonna be the manager just come in coach a couple games Co bring in yours cherundolo trundel couple games we need you for the camp I didn't even think of the possibility having willfried come in for a couple games for me we talked about it privately for me wif freed N is a right coach for the US Men's National Team it's a guy that takes players who are scrubs who don't do well in any other club who aren't exactly the most talented in the league and makes them exceptional as a unit that's what he specializes in that's what he's brilliant at I would have loved to see him for these two games to see what he could do in a short amount of time yeah at last we're getting a big marketing hire we're getting a guy who has a phenomenal resume not with championships he's won one Championship with Messi mbappe and and Neymar and Di Maria are we getting him is he our manager I think so I think so but I don't think he's the right one I know from a marketing perspective phenomenal he's the right manager I disagree with you there but why why do you think that because he his whole career he's shown the ability to get the most out of young players that's I think we we'll talk we'll talk about we'll talk about whether we'll we'll talk about that separately a man named Harry Kane Sun young Ming I mean these are players that came up under portino yeah let's let's let's finish here because obviously we can we can go on all night but the but I think the main takeaway is that Mauricio pettino if he is in fact and we think he is in fact going to be the US Men's National Team manager has a lot lot lot of work to do and to our friends from the north Canada now's your time to gloat um Jesse Marsh you know You' you've you seem to be have found a manager that that worked for the Canadian group and and congrats to you well well deserved Victory today absolutely well deserved was good too I mean let's not forget whatman did for this team Herman started the transition and and B are continuing on that again the one problem if I'm a Canada fan the one issue I have still is why is Alfonso Davies so quiet that's heads scratching and it can't continue yeah yeah so so so to the US Men's National Team fans let's hear it in the comments what do you have to say about this I hope if anyone saw anything that we didn't please let us know if there was any positives I thought Shelty was okay I mean I think guys can we agree that maybe he had a good game l i tman was okay at times too oh Tillman had a few beautiful rums up the middle uh yeah I think Tillman for me was our best player on the field schy was a solid respectable seven out of 10 uh it was to see um but is he was it enough to replace Turner uh I don't know I don't think so I still felt uncomfortable with him back there for whatever reason yeah regardless what happens against New Zealand I don't think there's any point of us talking too much about what we see in that match we will we'll look at it and see what happens if anything interesting but guys US Men's National Team you guys are you guys need to get better I don't even know if I should say it today should I no no don't
