Aloha Welcome To Paradise AA Hawaii just outside of palulu and the home of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors a tremendous setting and a spectacular game that we have in store we believe we've got a great one in store today and when you got a team that makes it into the top 25 now when you go on the road that's when you prove you belong [Music] the Rainbow Warriors will get us started with the opening kickoff from inside the 10 here he comes and he's able to kick his way through the traffic nicely for a good return on that one before he's brought down okay so here comes the offense for the first first time today and here's the man they rally around and he has earned that type of respect David you dang right you earn it by doing it and he's done it at such a high level everyone believes in this young man in Palmer there's a reason why you're right David he's been in the big moments and he's one the big games this guy delivers when the game is on the line after picking up a couple at second and [Applause] eight to the ground with the back not much he could do there does pick up two to the 34 third and six and they'll need a big play here on this opening drive third down from the gun wants to pass he's got his man he'll have up for the first down and they stop him at the 45 CR set of downs after the completion he'll keep it himself a seven yd pickup it'll be second and three after the good pick up on first down let's see if they keep it on the ground he's looking for an open man on second down using the quick game they are on the move down to the 32 and they pick up another first down and now a fresh set of downs for this [Applause] offense they'll keep it on the ground to the right he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three last play was a near disaster now dealing with second and 13 the run from the shotgun that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there the seventh play of this opening drive will be a third and long feeling some heat quarterback feeling that pressure and he's knocked down at the 42 Third and long situation we're bringing an extra DB on the field we're telling our front guys to pin your ears back and go get the QB and they get the job done they bring the pter onto the field now he ought to be able to use his first punt to pin him deep and the punt goes out of bounds we'll see where the officials spotted but they certainly gave them no opportunity for return so the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors offense will have its first possession of the game here are our impact players for this game and it goes beyond executing an assignment to make an impact in the game yeah obviously we were talking to both coaching staffs this week and we asked them who needs to step up and play well they immediately pointed to these guys right here they are the key for their respective teams yeah and they don't always show up in the Box B but these are the guys are the leaders these are the guys getting everybody organized and have to play well for their team to succeed quick release on the RPO and he is going to lose yard he nowhere to run as he is forced out of bounds looking downfield it's shagger oh he's going to try to hit him over the top big S grab on the right they're ripping off chunks of yards they get it to the 33 That's What's So Scary About This offense they've got guys in the perimeter that can change the game in one single play and you saw it right there too much speed on the perimeter to create that explosive play and the Rainbow Warriors want to pick up the tempo motion trying to get the defense to show its hand quick touch pass to the receiver he's there to make the Stop and they threw it in reverse losing yardage on that play looking for a gap it's Sim B that creas and they knock him down after a pick up of five to the 32 they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here fires to the middle and the incomplete pass will bring up fourth down the Rainbow Warriors decide to punt it away first pun of the day and he loved to lock them up close to their goal line the punt goes out of bounds and a nice job to get them back in I think they'll spot it right around the 15 offense set on first down from the gun they'll try to impose their will and that's why you do explosive work in the weight room armed is a good thing as he gets to the [Applause] 23 off the RPO complete they get him on the ground but not before he gets up for the first down it's first and 10 from the 31 they'll run it from the gun he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three last play was a near disaster now dealing with second and 13 out of the gun the inside hand off looking for a crease they bring him down but a solid pick up to put them in position to pick up a first down now on third down after that run from the gun wants to pass fires to the middle all kinds of room to throw that one in there they make the stop but the sweet R catches plenty to give him a first down the give to the tail back we'll give him a couple on that one second and eight coming up Bunch formation trying to Spring a guy free he's looking to throw almost had the completion just missed it now facing a third and long from the gun wants to pass and they'll miss the connection here on third down and here comes the punt team this will be the second time they've had to kick it away make sure that there's not going to be a return on this one Ball's out of bounds and I think they'll mark it right around the 25 the G and they try the middle of this Stout defense and they rise to the challenge they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 looking to throw at shager using the back as a receiver on the screen they make the stop but not before the screen has hit him for a first down and much more really good execution by this offense hey man sometimes you get the perfect play call at the perfect time that time the defense blitzing offensive line allowed everybody to run up field and they slip in the running back screen and behind it there was nobody there to make a tackle and this offense generates a massive play now on second down after the incompletion back to the passing game and they're not on the same page there they punted on their first drive of the game and now they have to convert on third down to avoid doing it again looking down the middle it's caught now with a great opportunity as they pick up the first down they've got it at the 40 and the Rainbow Warriors will hustle through the line it's a draw they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one offense gets set for second down second com up leaves it with the back on the move at the 30 finally way run out of bounds but he has this offense rolling with a first down with the weapons this offense has you knew it was just a matter of time in the Run game before someone was going to break a long one they just been running into a wall and just couldn't seem to find their creases and get enough movement up front but they finally got it there picking up the first let's see what happens next motion from the offense the receiver on the Jet Sweep head it to the end zone and he runs it in pass score touchdown Warrior Warrior number [Music] [Music] theat unit on the field for the exra [Applause] point and with the extra point they get the first seven of the game 76 yds on the drive for the touchdown and the finisher came on a terrific 24 yd run to the house looking for an alley from inside his own 10 he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 the offense lining up for a first down play Power football with the Run Nifty little dance step and where did he go he's right out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down big play to start this drive now they'll snap it from the 39 try to get the edge with a quick touch pass and a pick up of eight opens a world of opportunities on second and two after the good pickup on first down let's see if they keep it on the ground now the play fake tight end finds a soft spot they make the Stop and not before they do their work up top and pick up a first down Ed the play fake now to throw can't find his man as he took a shot trying to deliver that football and it'll be second down running back goes in motion he's back to throw on second down swings it out to the flat and he's able to bounce off one tackle for a solid pickup this is the typ of play that decides games are you tough enough to convert third and short from the [Applause] 30 they'll try to power their way ahead they are on the move as they pick up the first down they'll spot it at the 28 here's this offense with a fresh set of downs moving the running back forcing the defense to adjust he's going to pass got him downfield nice pitch and catch there and they'll have enough for the first down the defense is backed up as the offense is in the red zone hease looking to throw it and a really good and the pressure gets there and down he goes at the 18 the and offensively that is not ideal that is not what you want but you know what now you got a little bit more space it's harder than closer you get in tight to the to the end zone so now you got a little bit more space maybe you can make those throws out on the outside spread them out a little bit and throw the football this drive was rolling and then it got thrown into reverse here's a second and 18 the playaction fake fires to the ti again and the defense settled in to stop that one for a short Game Boy they' love to move the sticks here and take a shot at it on first and goal third down on Third and long doesn't need to take the check down into the end zone he's got it touchdown and these guys just score from anywhere out there after that drive it sure looks that way and that's what separates really good offenses from great offenses when you're backed up in a bad position and you can still fight your way out and go get you a touchdown that's a great drive by the offense on to attempt the try kicker is on for the extra point splits the upright the exra point is good that time after that latest answerer tied things up just about set to kick it away again the returner will field it and bring it back really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 Hawaii has it back as they send the offense onto the field after standing on the sideline and watching that long touchdown Drive they really need to put something together to give their defense a rest and that's a real thing man like you played a lot of plays you get worn out you need a chance to go decompress in the sideline get some oxygen Palmer now it's on this offense yeah this is the definition of complimentary football cuz it's a two-prong problem you've got to score points and answer but you've also got to take your time and give your defense an opportunity to get their win on Third and long try to convert through the air a little screen to the running back defense was not fooled by that screen to the back and they'll stop him short of the marker it'll be fourth down the Rainbow Warriors will bring the punt team onto the field this will be the second time they've had had to kick it away slips through the line he did a great job finding some Running Room on that return and was able to set up the offense with good field position from the gun the running back tries to hit the hole he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple after getting knocked back to open this drive it's second and 12 trying the left side joh just a solid stop by this sophomore if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of [Applause] momentum on third down going up top nice defensive way to get a hand in there and knock it away the punt team makes its way onto the [Music] field able to keep them from getting a return and the ball goes out of bounds are going to mark it right around the 20 the Hawaii offense returns to the field wasting no time throwing on this drive fires to the big fella didn't pick up a lot there moved it Forward just a few got the completion on the last play still some work to do on second down give to the running back picks his way and gets four out to the 27 fairly manageable distance here on third down from the 27 [Applause] they'll try to bully their way for the first and they're able to get a third down stop here see if they go for it on Fourth and the Rainbow Warriors line up to punt it away he's going to try to flip the field with this one he'll call for the fair catch here let's see what this offense has dialed up this [Music] time he's got him in the Flat runs through a tackle at the 40 there he goes put it right on him sweet play good pick up and they'll move the chain with the first down they built this offense around finding mismatches and just get the ball in the back and let him do his thing yeah it it didn't have to be long down the field like it threw it right near the line of scrimmage but you know I got a guy when he gets in space he can make big plays happen nice decision by the QB got three on first first down at second and [Applause] seven unloads quickly make the stop at the 40 but it's a 10yd gain and a fresh set of downs now on first down from the 40 Red Pass it's complete and the defense holds firm no pick up at all on that play brings up second running back searching for a hole he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one trying to move the sticks on third down through the air fires toward the end zone and they wanted it all on third down but now dealing with fourth down they bring the punter onto the field now they'll have to punt for the fourth time today how about this it's out of bounds inside the 10 and they're going to mark it right around the 5 yd line what a great job there wide receiver shows motion got his man quickly and he'll be run out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage not a very productive play there second they'll go to the ground and they'll stop him after a minimal pickup not exactly the ideal situation for this offense third and long backed up inside their 20 unloads to the wide out working on the right and they pick up of better than 30 yds on that completion before the defense brings him down that's a beautiful pass and catch I love the job the quarterback does manipulating the defense with his eyes he Froze that safety and that allowed his receiver more room to work his route the Rainbow Warriors in the hurry [Applause] [Applause] up the RPO it's complete and that play just looked to be a mess from the snap and he's right out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage looking to throw it's shager it's complete to the left he's brought down quickly minimal gain there still a bit short of the first down here they come facing third and long from the 40 from the gun wants to pass got it in the middle it's Sims good tackle there to stop him short of the first down and now they have to make a call and the Rainbow Warriors will line up to pun it away really good job by the coverage team to make the Stop and that's where they'll put it in play guys this offense coming back out onto the field he Wast no time and comes out throwing he looks that one in nicely and he'll run across the sidelines after the good gain got some of the work done on first now now let's see what they have on second down they'll try the run just working and poking and plotting and finding his way up to the 36 a third down try for the offense they'll try to move the chains on the ground he'll have enough to move the chains it's first down at the 38 here's this offense with a fresh set of [Applause] downs pulls it and fires to the left he stopped at the 48 a pick up of 10 on the play and that's just a great individual effort by the wide receiver he catches this ball way short of the sticks but because he's able to make the defender Miss now he's able to get the extra yards and turn that into an explosive play the offense set for a first down [Applause] play from the gun they'll give it on the inside and he'll pick up a few yards before he's dragged down and that'll be the end of the first quarter we played one and we are right back where we started all tied up after the first period as we take a look at the [Music] stats we've got a good one going here and looking forward to keeping those vibes going here in the second quarter trying to impose their will with the run one step WRA twep squeeze this junior knows how to get him on the ground third here on third down for this offense they'll try to pick it up on the ground he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple and here comes the punt team they've been busy out there to punt for the fifth time today yet another punt on the way got to make sure that hamstring stays loose he's been busy Hawaii ready to go back to work on offense their Drive chart is starting to look a little monot us punt punt punt David and their defense is starting to get a little frustrated too just keep putting me back on the field possession after possession Jesse this offense needs to get their heads out of there you know what the punters on the sideline with the oxygen mask right now he's been playing so much he's not used to this this offense they just got to stay on the field they got to put a drive together and get some balance going running and throwing the ball and he dropped it just didn't look the thing all the way in after the incompletion it's second and 10 from their own 25 to throw it's shagger oh goes right through his hands and he will think about that one for a while it'll be third down they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here looking left makes the grab that's a kind of play that can really get you going as they have a first down for 43 looking to throw it again quickly out to the tight end and a good job in coverage there as they stop it after just a few second down coming up the give to the back and they'll bring him down after a short pickup a third and long coming up here up third run the gun wants to pass throwing right got his hand that's where they'll Mark him down but what a play there to pick up a first down when you're going to run a comeback route you've got to settle up you're going deep and that was a great job there by the receiver really making that corner think he was running deep down the field so we got the corner to turn his hips turn his shoulders and then the receiver was able to just pivot around to make it an easy passing catch and he's swallowed up at the line of scrimmage by by the big defensive tackle got stuffed on first down it's second and 10 he's looking to throw gets it out fast oh noses his way through and they finally haul him down but not before the good catch and R the Rainbow Warriors are in the hurry [Music] up one back in the back field he gets the carry they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one last play didn't go well it leaves him with second and 11 he's looking to throw and he really wanted to get the touchdown there but it's incomplete and this offense has gotten off to a good start on third down but this is a different deal on Third and long and makes the grab in the end zone touchdown Hawaii backed up in the shadow of their old gold no problem when you start in the black Zone inside your own 20 coming out it's difficult you can give up a safety you get worried about that the offense puts a great drive together great job executing great job giving touchdown getting set for the point [Music] a and the extra point is true and they're on top by seven precise Relentless execution on that 13pl scoring drive and The Finisher and 18yd touchdown throw he'll start the return inside his spot he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 offense getting set for first down they'll give it to the back he locked up and held on to bring him down they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 up he's looking to throw with the catch it's young second and he's knocked down immediately but not before he moves the chains now on First and 10 from the 29 from the gun they'll try to impose their running game defense closed down quickly after a gain of three they'll mark it at the 32 after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven pulls and fires complete and he won't quite get there but boy after that pick up just a few inches to go for the first and array of possibilities here on Third and short they'll try to pick it up on the ground here and he just needed a few inches and the defense was Surly and nasty into no Sur let's see what he can do with it was looking for more Running Room and found nothing but more tacklers he's down for 24 Hawaii has it back as they send the offense onto the field man what a drive last time for the touchdown that passing attack was Lethal David yeah you know you hear all this stupid commentators like me and Jesse talking about create balance you know run and pass no when you throw that good spin the ball around so the defense has to find a way to affect the quarterback on this drive because last drive he had way too much time can't make the catch and it'll be third down he had that thing and just lost his concentration caught near the sticks it's Sim excellent job working through the air there finding a hole in that defense and picking up a first down and the Rainbow Warriors come to the line with a new set of downs they'll go back to the ground they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one lost one on that last when it's second and 11 fast motion from the [Applause] offense quick release by the QB he makes a stop at the 41 but it's a 15yd pickup and they're rolling with a first down first for the keeping it on the ground with the single back ripping off a good chunk inside the 25 and they're set up with a first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs they're going to ride this running back I know the passing game sells the passing game is exciting but it's not exciting to get five or six Ys a top on the ground but it will be very successful unloads it left it in they'll get it down to the 8 yd line on that throw and catch and the defense is backed up against the wall wide receiver's going to get a shot at it on first and goal and he's strenting he'll take it all the way touchdown Hawaii war that touchdown gives his team a pretty significant lead at this point and that's what you want you want to start fast you want everything to come out start clicking make some plays it doesn't always work that way but when you do man the energy the crowd everybody's into it now the other team [Music] respond now they'll line up for what they hope is automatic and with the extra point they pushed the lead out a little further so it's a 77 yd touchdown drive and it was capped off with the 8yd Run he'll bring it out from inside his own 10 he was looking for more Running Room but none to be found as he stopped at the 23 out comes the offense as they get set to take over they'll run it from the gun find just way ahead for five and now they've got it at the 28 halfway there on first down it's second and five trying play action gets it out quickly ripping off a pretty good chunk of yardage they got it out to the 41 with a first down here's this offense with a fresh set of [Applause] downs it's complete to the right and just a short safe pass play they pick up a few kept it on the ground last time let's see if they go back to it on second down he's looking to throw fires to the wide out reacted well to the tip but just couldn't squeeze the football in of the turnover it'll be third down he'll just keep slinging it catch in the middle it's young they'll move the chains good execution on third down they've got it at the 41 they say success rate can be picking up about four or so on first down first and 10 crosses the 30 he got awayan oh he gave him the LM flag they make the tackle but he's got a fresh set of downs and it's first and goal from the seven what a run great speed great vision elusiveness and David he's tackled down close to the goal line yeah and this offense when you can run the football like this man you will have success especially in the Red Zone trying to get touchdowns after that huge gain now a chance to cash it in from just outside the [Applause] five oh he had it right down the middle and it just squirted right through his fingers and they missed an opportunity for a nice play on first down caught in the back field it's Williamson and the defense knocked him down immediately behind the line third and goal from way back there up third and going for six right through his hands he had a touchdown and just didn't look the ball in it'll be fourth down they'll try to salvage a field goal on this drive right down the boulevard it's good [Music] after putting up the field goal they're set to kick it away to kick it off and he's coming out of the end zone he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 the Hawaii offense returns to the field on that last Drive defense had no idea what was happening run or pass that wound up in the end zone Jesse Yeah we saw the experience in this offense that last drive too on that touchdown everybody on the same page these guys have reped these plays over and over in practice and in games and it's working yeah so I got to find a way to disrupt it I got to find a way to maybe be more aggressive maybe Blitz mess up this Rhythm they got going pocket starts to collapse and the quarterback caught up two and sacked at the 12 how nice is it as a defense when you can drop seven guys in coverage only Rush four and still get home that makes you feel good if you're the d-coordinator the Rainbow Warriors will punt this one away doesn't say much for your drive when you're looking forward to the punt he'll get away another punt he's been really active today and no doubt he's going to earn his varsity lad and the return man has no place to run no place to hide and a place to be tackled first down here for the offense and off from the shotgun really nice stop there from this senior leader got three on first down it's second and seven second down from the gun the G looking for room he's all the way down to the 27 yd line and they are threatening first and 10 coming up use the play fake now to throw got his man downfield steps into the End Zone 4 touchdown one of the reasons this offense is so exciting to watch they've got guys that are dangerous after the catch if this quarterback gets through his progression David and hits you in stride these guys will take it to the house man it's your job to do the rest right you hit me in stride where I don't have to stop running I don't have to break down it makes it so easy the connection between quarterback wide receiver you can tell this is a good one and that's why they got six on that play lining up for the P ex [Applause] point and they tack on the extra point to cut the lead to 217 lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drive on [Applause] the on the move from inside is five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 Hawaii ready to go back to work on offense they'll have another opportunity to extend this lead after punting last time David and it's important to put that punt behind you it's it's over let it go get back to what you were doing to build this lead yeah and the defense obviously they want a few Downs uh that last drive so we got to put them on their heels here maybe mix up a few Personnel groupings and try to show them some pictures they haven't seen and good coverage by the defense just a short game just had a solid pick up on first now let's see what they've got on second down from the gun he leaves it with the b and a nice solid pick up there before the defense wrestles him to the ground in the dead center of the field as they try to convert this third and [Applause] short PS and fired complete that will be enough for the first down as they stop him at the 43 yd line that is going to drive this def for it's a lot of DCs they focus a ton of energy on how they're un performs on third down and in the Red Zone this defense gives up a couple more third down conversions like that they are going to be in for a very unpleasant film session on Monday wide receiver now comes in motion leaves it with the running back he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple this offense has a second down play up second back to throw it's shager that friends is a busted play incomplete third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a doozy if they can pull it off from the gun wants to pass throws to the wide out wide open downfield that is exactly what you're looking for when you talk explosive plays the defense finally able to make the Stop and he just continues to put up numbers and that number is now over this guy just throws completions man the ball doesn't seem to touch the ground he's back there he's making the right reads right now he is locked into what this defense is trying to do give to the single back they make the Stop and they give up five yds On The Run it's down to the 11 going to work in the Red Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone he's got it in still on his feet touchdown Rainbow Warrior a great catch and run for six this offense is really dangerous because of the weapons they have on the perimeter of the field and you're seeing they go to these guys early and they try to give them opportunities in one-on-one situations and vertically down the field two passing touchdowns now early for this offense [Music] lining up to tack one more onto that lead and with the extra point we have a 287 ball game they marched 78 ydd down the field and they finish it with an 11 yd touchdown Dart from inside the 10 yd line he'll bring it back couldn't find a way to create that broken field as he stopped at the 25 here comes the offense onto the field again out of the shotgun they go to the ground tackle is made at the 28 after a pickup of three after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven second keeps it on the boot leg shoots it to the left a strike downfield really nice pick up there as they have it out to the 44 with a first down well this offense told us coming in they were going to challenge this secondary early and often they were going to use their speed to their advantage and take advantage of this quarterback's touch and arm talent and they already in the second quarter they've got over 200 yards throwing got stuffed on first down it's second and 10 gives it to the back on the draw he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three they've got a good chunk of brown to cover on Third and long from the 41 looking to throw and he needs a bunch and it slips through his fingers incomplete that would have been a huge gain if he could have squeezed it fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way fair catch was called for but there is a flag on the play and we'll have to sort it out personal foul ring the kicker defense the officials offer the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the penalty they'll leave it with him he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple six play of the drive coming [Music] up the give on the inside a strong tackle and wrap up from the junior now facing a third and long [Applause] from the gun wants to pass right down the middle he's got an open man just carving up this defense and getting it down to the 24 this offense is like running a Perfection drill in practice against air chunk play after chunk play and here they come again we've made our way to the two-minute warning and now they'll try to at least cut a little something off of this lead before the break just too much he that time and they knock him down at the 31 what a great job by this defense setting the tone early in the first half they've been hitting the quarterback early and often make him feel uncomfortable make him feel that pressure keep getting him on the ground that's why theyve built a lead they've already racked up big sack numbers it's starting to snowball and they are ready to go again looking to throw on second down he's got it and it'll be a touchdown and I tell you what that passing touchdown man that should spark this whole team like The Comeback is more than on now like they got the touchdown they cut into the lead you want to get a stop and go into the half get all the juices all the excitement and be like listen the passing game's rolling we got this The Comebacks in full effect [Music] they'll try to attack one more on their score and with the extra point they close it to a 2824 game they took it 68 yds on that drive and they top it off with a 31 yd toss for [Applause] six looking for those open spaces and opportunity he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 Hawaii has it back as they send the offense onto the field the way this game started you feel as if you have to score a touchdown every time you have it and now we'll see if they can respond yeah and I wonder how much pressure that puts on the offense Jesse like you know this is back and forth I got to score and every possession matters so much what does that do to you as a quarterback well it puts a lot more pressure on you for sure to feel like I got to make every third down throw if guys are open vertically down the field I got to hit on to you can't let our serve get broken looking to go up top on first down makes the grab it's McBride they stop him almost immediately short gain there and still the little ground covered pick up the first they'll immediately call timeout they'll line up for a second down play back to throw it's shager unloads to the Wi out tosses it incomplete couldn't find his man last time now they'll have to convert third and four from the gun wants to pass all kinds of room to throw that one in there offens has gain momentum with third down conversions like that they've got it up to 25 going up top on first down he got it they will score touchdown Warriors and really nice job seeing the middle of the field see deep attack the midal field you can tell he runs a post balls right on him catches the football and then gets to gallop right into the end zone for a [Music] touchdown they'll try to add another to their lead extra point and the extra line comes out throwing on first down grab over the middle it's McBride I love playing manto man defense and I love getting up kiing and jamming you with the line of scri but it's really hard when they start running these Crossing routes and drags and ends because now I'm in Chase mode and the QB has a little bit of space A lot of times and those fast guys can create some separation and get a first down like they did that hey bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one offense breaks the Huddle it's third [Applause] down they'll try to pick up the first through the air and the misconnection on third down the Rainbow Warriors send out the punt unit they're up to a half dozen kicks today going to make sure he doesn't get a return on this one as the punt bounces out of bounds looking for a productive play on first down he's going to pass fires to the wide out and it's incomplete if you're going to take it hit like that you might as well hang on to the ball after the quarterback and receiver couldn't connect it's second and 10 across the 25 he's got R really needed a play like that to get out of their own end they move the chains they mark it at the 29 how aggressive will they get on First and [Applause] 10 they'll give it to him again cross the 30 to the 35 and that's a gain of six 6yd pickup on first down leaves him with second and four looking for a physical attack from the gun that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle bear third they'll run for it on Third and short by the number 4 in [Music] fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way they're able to put a stop to that return right at the 30 yd line Hawaii ready to go back to work on offense here's another opportunity Jesse to stretch out this lead after punting last time I think it goes back to your Playmakers Reese I think it's finding the guys that have been working for you earlier on in this game and getting them the football yeah and there's obviously no need to panic I mean think about it you got the lead Le you got the football you got to be smart with the football make your plays put a good drive together somebody needs to make a play here it's third and long from the 26 they'll throw it to the back on the screen they play that screen nicely he tried to find his way to the marker but it'll be fourth down and the Rainbow Warriors will call on their punt team fair catch called for and Tak it at the 30 Y Line first play of this drive will start from the 31 yd line from the gun running back gets to GI found a little space and he's got four to the 35 after the productive first down play it's second and six he's looking to throw got a man it's Williamson and they reacted well to the completion but it was too late to keep them from getting the first down they'll keep it on the ground and he'll pick up one it brings up second and nine went with the running game on first down now back at it right back to the well and just wedges it ahead a bit before he's brought down the line to gain here is the 43 yd line and it's third down Zing it complete to right he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pick up and moving the sticks for a first down well look that wasn't a touchdown but that was a massive play for this offense they needed some momentum they needed to find a rhythm in what better way and converting on third down awesome job by the quarterback getting first he rumbles ahead for six inside the 30 to the 28 yd line they'll move the running back to try to force the defense to adjust he got his hands on it but couldn't hold on to it what a time that would have been for their first pick of the game they'll snap it from the 28 in field goal range but it's third and short takes the easy one to the back he ended up going backwards on the play and they will not convert that third down they'll run the field goal unit back out there this kicker has already banged a couple through it is true as he puts three on the board [Music] after putting up a three spot the kickoff unit set to [Applause] go and he'll return it and try to get behind his blockers didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 Hawaii has it back as they send the offense onto the field last time David it was one two three kick the last drive that three and out sometimes that put your defense in a bad spot and you got to get a drive together here so you don't wear the defense out I just think David too predictable that last Drive they got to do something here to get this defense on their heels just a short pass to the tight end he knew exactly where he wanted to go with that one and they've got enough for the first down here's this offense with the fresh set of downs looking to pass it's shagger he just missed the Target on that one got to put it on his body here comes the offense on second down [Applause] the give to the back they get him stopped at the 32 that's a gain of four offense breaks the Huddle on third down from the gun wants to pass he's right on target good job running that route to get past the stti because he got nothing after the catch for the off he Lees it with the back able to SC three yards out of that one somehow it's second and seven went to the running game on first down now here they come again wide receiver coming across in motion off play action he's going to let one fly down the middle he got his hands on it but couldn't hold on to it what a time that would have been for their first pick of the game ball is at the 41 as this defense tries to force the punt on third thir and long trying to get to it and the Freshman will chalk up a sack the number one job is to protect your quarterback and they weren't able to do it long enough that time this offensive line Reese they've got to do a better job communicating pre- snap and trying figure out which people on defense are going to be rushing the passer right now this offense just looks confused up front the Rainbow Warriors will try to pin them back with the punt [Applause] this guy is a daring punt return man he's not going to settle for the fair catch a solid return gets a little bit of ground for the offense the back goes in motion off the play fake on first down to throw takes the easy throw in the flat and that will go backwards a negative play in that defense on high alert that time [Applause] on second down looking to throw they're bringing heat it's complete on the right side and that defense is there to guide him out of bounds after a short gain if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum quick strike complete really nice timing on that out route there good Anticipation by the QB getting it out on time and how about the receiver securing the catch taing the toes before he went out of fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way signal goes into the air and he makes a fair catch at the T the Hawaii offense returns to the field they've had to punt the last couple of times they've had a David now trying to put something together but re you know how much I love punters and kickers like you don't want to see them very often those are not guys that we want to see on the field we want to do something else and be a little bit more productive offensively here I think David on this drive the quarterback's just got to settle down a little but these last few drives looks like he's seeing ghost we've SE him Force the football he's missed a couple of throws he needs to just take a deep breath and play Within himself now on first down from the 28 first he's looking to throw it pulls it in really nice job there by both guys the throw and the catch to work that defense and get the first down my goodness dude that is close to 500 yd most people can't do that on air most people can't do that in a video game and the Rainbow Warriors will have it first and 10 back to throw it's shager firing to the right complete there to make the tackle but the big throw is good enough to give them a first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs first touch pass on the Rock he brought down but he went backwards after that completion not the way they had it drawn up the loss yardage leaves him with second and 11 he's looking to throw working the middle of the field and it's complete and good blocking in space out there to give him enough room to pick up the first down and at this point the defense looks as if they've been in one of those dis bat races they've got no idea where the ball's coming from he's over 500 yd passing yeah this is a Heisman trophy level performance from this guy the accuracy the decision making the athleticism everything has been on this well that was a lightning fast decision you could tell he knew what he wanted to do right away makes the decision but maybe his footwork wasn't a little bit good and the pass wasn't where he wanted to put that thing I know that on second down he'll try to make the connection this time pulls it in in the end zone touchdown Hawaii really nice job by a quarterback there just letting the play develop he had his eyes down in the middle of the field and I think we saw that deep middle area vacated he said to himself I've got a guy running right into that area I'm throwing this thing on time this is going to be a touchdown that's exactly what happened lining up to tack one more onto that lead [Music] the kick is up and good and put one more on the lead almost ready to kick it away after scoring the [Applause] touchdown he'll bring it back from inside his spot he was looking for more Running Room but none to be found as he stopped at the 23 line gets set first down [Applause] he wants to throw unloads to the wide out and the timing just a hair off that last incompletion leaves him with second and 10 from the [Applause] 23 he'll do it himself and it'll be a pick up of nine they're facing a third and one and this offense just can't afford not to get the first down here already trailing big and the clock is not their friend and with that effort they pick up a fresh set of downs they have it at the 34 yd line first down for this offense they'll ride the hot hand stopped at the 44 but he got 10 on the play from the 44 yd line the offense snaps it on first down now they're going to throw it fires to the wide out got him down field he'll work his way down to the 28 well how about the offense setting that play up we've seen earlier in the game a couple shorter throws just trying to suck those safeties closer to the line of scrimmage anticipating that they would get an opportunity to take a shot they called the perfect play at the perfect time right there this offense absolutely humming as they come to the line again [Applause] keeps it on the boot leg looking to throw and a little too much adrenaline on that throw never gave his receiver a chance Bunch formation trying to confuse the secondary using the quick game maybe a three yd pickup there third and long coming up they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one on third down he drops to throw they're trying to get to it and he just throws it away that is not what you're looking for on third down fourth down coming up this kicker's leg is getting a workout he's already made three field goals and here he comes again and it's no good after the missed field goal it is still a 12o game [Music] [Music] Hawaii ready to go back to work on offense that last touchdown Drive was surgical through the air Jesse it sure was and that's why this offense is so dangerous David because they can score in a hurry because of how efficient they are throwing football and welcome the modern college football that's what it is spread you out find my Playmakers make quick decisions and really put defenses in a difficult situation got his man quick and they pick up just a few on that completion Ball's at the 29 defense can taste getting off the field it's third and long quickly complete well it's a good decision by their quarterback and I know you didn't get the first down but the good news is you got a chunk of yards back now setting up fourth and short and giving yourself an opportunity to go for it here and keep this drive going not going to risk a return here he'll make the fair catch a first down for the [Applause] offense quarterback on the keeper he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three not what they had in mind to start this drive here comes second and 13 he's looking to throw fires to the right got his man downfield a huge play and they get it all the way to the 45 Y Line well ree you and I were talking about this before the game how is this defense going to be able to deal with all the speed they have offensively you saw them just rip off a big play and Jesse now their head's spinning just a little bit give up a big chunk play and it's right back at him now a first down from the 45 yd line they go to the ground they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one lost one on that last wi it's second and 11 they'll Run play action fires to the middle wide open downfield and they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up and this defense is going to have their hands full because they're going to need to be comfortable with guys one-on-one on islands in the perimeter of the field and they're just going to have to make better plays than what we saw right there they knew this offense was going to try to be aggressive got to need better effort in the back end for this defense moving forward they've marched to the Red Zone and here they go makes the grab and he's marked down right there but a good pick up and it'll be a first down listen as the game goes along you start to figure out what that defense does and that offense I think they got a really good clue that that corner route continues to be open I'd keep hitting it this defense might be reeling after those last two and now facing first and [Applause] goal the give and he's into the end zone for a touchdown sometimes we ask coaches about halftime adjustments go blah blah blah blah blah and then sometimes they make some good ones sometimes that blah blah blah blah blah actually works but it's working now but it might be too little too late but at least you got the party [Music] started ling up to ad and it's up and good as they draw Just a Touch closer about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown [Applause] just into the end zone and he'll bring it out really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 Hawaii has it back as they send the offense onto the field got his man down the middle and that corner came in hot despite knowing that he was giving up some size right on target with that last pass now it's second and medium reads it fires complete good call good execution as they move the chains and they have a first down at the 38 here's this offense with a fresh set of downs wants to throw on first down got a in it's Sims and he'll step out of bounds after a very productive play Let's see what they've got on second down Qui out in [Applause] motion they'll ride the running back and leave it with him the Rainbow Warriors brought to the ground but not before picking up the first here's this offense with a fresh set of downs they'll throw it on first down and he was hit just as he was releasing the pass and it falls to the ground incomplete and here comes the offense on second down hand off to the single running back he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here to the air it's shagger receiver looks it in it's complete and he was able to get away from one tackle but plenty of help was on the way decent pick up on that play kick it the punt goes out of bounds and a nice job to get them backed up I think they'll spot it right around the 15 and talk about spreading the ball around everyone getting a chance to show off the hands based on the number of targets we've [Applause] seen one quarter to go and might we have the makings of a classic fourth quarter finish he'll start this drive firing got his man on the outside and the defense had that one well covered just a short game there that completion leaves us with second and medium second the inside handoff just gets it to the 28 pick up of one how bold will they be on third down after that last run from the gun wants to pass complete downfield nice job to get it past the sticks and they get him down at the 35 first down and 10 looking to move it through the air the quarterback's a little more On Target there maybe they hook up but it's an incompletion and after the incompletion on first down this offense looking at second down and he really needed to hold on to that one but it was not loose in third down down is coming if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum a strike downfield he's got enough to move the chain and they'll spot it at the 47 the offense in hurry at there's a reason third down is called the money now what a great find by the quarterback great job finding his receiver at the end of the game you look at third down percentages it tells a huge story and it goes a long way in deciding who wins a football got his man on the right and he's knocked down immediately but a good pick up on that play you see this more and more in college football motion the running back out of the back field what am I looking for I'm looking to see if it's man coverage does a linebacker go and chase him if he does guess what I get to do take advantage of my matchup I like my speed better than [Applause] yours the p and throw off the RPO and this one will be stopped for No Gain they'll come to the line needing four yds for a first down they're already two for two on this drive it's complete to the right he's run out of bounds but he's got enough to move the sticks and this set of downs get started from the 33 first and 10 here's the hand off the got a little space they'll finally get him stopped at the one yd line what a run there what took everything on defense just get that guy down on the one yd line he is a monster D and if this offense Jess is going to keep doing that you better bring in reinforcements on that defensive line get some Big Boys cuz they're about to punch this thing in the end zone so now the opportunity with a touchdown to take the lead he'll go to the draw takes it into the end zone for a touchdown touchdown man I love this off being able to run the football late in the game when it matters and punching in for the touchdown and more importantly Take the [Music] Lead they're going to go for two here and try to extend that lead to a field goal motion from the offense quarterback flip ahead quickly to the receiver he'll be stopped short still a one-point game here in the fourth they had hoped to push this Edge out to a field goal but they were denied returner is going to try to see what he can get and they'll get him on the ground as YZ comes out to start the next Drive looking for a productive play on first [Music] down Jet Sweep to the receiver and he fights his way forward gets away from one but not much doing on that one line getting set on second down wide receiver shows motion to the air it's shager makes to grab right on the sideline but he's out of bounds and they're going to lose yardage a third and long coming up here coming up he's looking downfield to throw behind the line it's Perry and how about that alertness and that swarming D to keep him from getting the first down and the Rainbow Warriors will send out the punt [Applause] unit perhaps feeling that coverage coming signals for the fair Catch and makes it at the 25 they'll get this drive started from their own 26 from the gun the ground game they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one didn't get much done on that first play of the drive it's second and 11 he's looking to throw unloads to the wide out and it's picked off that's the turnover they desperately needed not much of a chance on the return but they'll have the ball at the 33 you talk about having to have it we needed to force the turnover we had to get the football back they're in such a good position to run out the clock try to win no serve our ball first [Music] down the Hawaii offense returns to the field after punting the last time they had it they ought to be set up for a much better result with this drive this offense better be licking their chops you're not going to start with better field possession than this all game did you ain't lying forget about the last possession of what we did you're already in scoring position take that football make sure you get some point just inside the Red Zone first and 10 from the 19 and he had it for a second but it just dribbled out of his hands they'll try again on second down after the incompletion the give to the running back from the shotgun and a nice second effort by the back to break a tackle but how about those defensive backs willing to come up stick their face in the fan and make a tackle those are the best run defenses too right it's not just D linman and linebackers getting all the plays but it's DBS that are willing to not just cover but tackle backs in the open field and now on fourth down they will put it on the shoulders of the kicker to save them with his foot it's good and they've regain the lead all field goals are not created equal guys kicks in the fourth quarter Take the Lead they just seem to carry so much more weight so give that young man credit for getting out there and knocking that thing through the uprights with all the pressure all the eyeballs on him he [Music] delivered after putting three on the board the kickoff unit ready to [Applause] go here's the return from inside as 10 he was looking for more Running Room but none to be found as he stopped at the 23 first down here for the offense out of the gun the inside G just enough there to get it to the 25 a pick up of two picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down he's looking to throw and the defense doing a great job committing to the run when you commit to the run like this obviously you can give up some plays in the passing game but you got to stop the run first on Third and long he has to throw for it five to the wide out tremendous awareness along the sideline and the ability to get the foot down for the big pickup wow and what a great job by that quarterback finding his open receiver on third down you know guys one of the most telling stats at the end of the game is third down conversion percentage if you're a great third down team it's invaluable to your offensive success and that's why teams drill third down so much of zings it complete to the right he's really close to that first down marker but they stop him just a bit short they need to get a little closer for a field goal try and they've got to do it in a hurry on Third and short the power run here he's knocked down in the backfield he'll lose a couple the punt team makes its way onto the field they'll look to pin him deep that thing was down for a while but the big bounce carried it into The End Zone and it'll be a Touchback Hawaii ready to go back to work on offense Jesse they had to kick a field goal the last time they had it yeah often times early in games you're just trying to find your Rhythm some things work some don't on that first drive David be just to see what happens here on the second Drive yeah you got to feel for the defense now you understand what they're trying to do what their game plan is now you get to go into phase two of your game plan makes the grab and he's dragged down so they're facing third and short from the 25 back to pass it's shager they're working that left side he steps out of bounds but he's got enough for a first down the Rainbow Warriors come to the line with a fresh set of downs quickly to the tie down and it's a first down they'll mark it at the 44 here's his offense with a fresh set of down and is Enough from the gun they're running back has it a solid pick up there before the defense is able to make the stop got six on first down now a lot of options on second and four fast motion from the offense to the ground with the back and he's stuffed by that big defensive tackle up front line is set on third down from the gun wants to pass it's complet wa on the right side they've got it inside the 40 at the 39 as they pick up the first down used the play fake now to throw unloads to the wide out he makes a catch and chunk plays are the name of the game and they get one here before the defense finally makes a [Music] stop from the Red Zone looking for a man and the physical play there forces the incompletion on first down after the quarterback and receiver failed to hook up they'll try it again on second down he finds his man touchdown Hawaii that is the ultimate grab and go for the score he has been surg Precision has using the scaff the fine instent rather than the blood one the defense has had absolutely no answer for just he's been down their throats all game long a step ahead understanding what he's seeing and just destroying his [Music] defense they'll try to add another to their [Applause] lead and the extra point is good and the lead is nine here in the fourth he put together an 81 yd drive and the score comes on a 17 yd throw for the touchdown from inside his own 10 let's see what he gets couldn't find a way to create that broken field as he stopped at the 25 here comes the offense on first down from the gun running back on the Move picked up a useful 5yd chunk out to the 30yd line halfway there on first first down it's second and five he's looking to throw and it just squirted through his hands he wanted to take off and got too anxious this is where you make the money on the drive ball at the 30 it's third and short from the gun wants to pass grabbed in the middle it's young they'll get him on the ground at the 46 and it'll be a first down this is the moment for this offense to put a drive together it doesn't matter what's happened up to the point of this game but you're trailing right now you got to put some points up on the board this is where all 11 guys need to be playing together as one all down at the 39 yd line but he's got 15 yds on the play and a fresh set of downs and off from the gun not a whole lot of room there three yds maybe second and seven stuck with a running game on first down now here they come again on second down just keeps firing takes the easy completion and a good job of coverage by that defense just a short pick up and here comes the play number six of the drive it's third down third down play from the gun he can't make the catch had it right in his hands and it'll be fourth down so here we are on fourth down and this field goal kicker is going to face all the pressure in the world it is perfect how nice is it as a head coach to have a kicker like this it makes these decisions on fourth down so much easier just TR him out there and let him stroke it through the upright [Music] they'll kick it away after putting up a field goal on that last drive here he comes from inside his own five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 Hawaii has it back as they send the offense onto the field and they've got a little bit of a cushion here David if they can add to it on this drive it would be nice and it definitely makes a little bit of a difference know what I'm up by more than a field goal obviously Jesse my mindset switches and I know I can't make mistakes yeah and David I don't think they have to reinvent the wheel on offense here what they've been calling has been working just get back to doing what you're good at they make the stop but this passing game does some damage and they move the sticks with the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs first for the off pulls and throws off the RPO and that defense doesn't allow a cut back and they get him out of bounds after for a short gain now on second down wide receiver now comes in [Applause] motion dropping back it's shagger he hurls one deep down the left side and he's got it inside the 35 this is so interesting right now watching this offense stay aggressive they've got the lead in the fourth quarter and you're thinking at home we got to just run the ball and try to bleed the clock they found something on defense they're taking advantage of two straight completions I won't be surprised if they throw it again and the Rainbow Warriors come to the line in the hurry [Applause] up hand off to the lone back they'll pick up four second and Six coming ready to fire from the pistol on second down he'll fire he's got an open man a quick tackle made but he's got plenty for the first down the Rainbow Warriors come to the line with a new set of downs wide receiver coming across in motion give to the back and they try to run inside and there is no nowhere to go they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 he's looking to throw didn't have much of a choice there but to get rid of it third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a doozy if they can pull it off on the ground it's Sims he is going nowhere sto at the line of scrimmage so on fourth down here comes the field goal kicker in a huge spot just drives it between the uprights you know it's funny in an age where there's so many college football analytics and everybody wants to go for it on fourth down at the end of the day it still comes down to managing good decision by the head coach here in the fourth quarter by kicking that field goal you've now made it a two possession game your chances of winning this thing have now gone way [Music] up so after putting three on the board the kick off team is out there ready to Bo it away and he takes this from inside the five good job by the coverage unit to stop the Return Man offense set on first [Applause] down he's going to pass working that left side now he's brought down solid pickup but a little bit short of the first down looking at a second and short now and that's perfect for the defense you'll give that up all day you're winning this game by multiple possessions late in the game play Big Zone coverages keep the ball in front of you and tackle the ball carrier in bounds with the first down they'll put it in play from the 33 well down two possessions good news is you get the completion bad news though did not get out of bounds you know right now saving the clock that is at a premium for this offense not much of a chance there he just had to get rid of it to avoid the sack offense gets set for second down couldn't connect on first down now back to the air all kinds of room to throw that one in there he threw that one with some serious Heat this senior quarterback doesn't need a lot of space to get it in there back to the air one more time trying to burn this defensive back and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again he wants to pass it on second down get it out on the screen and he never had a chance as soon as he caught it the defense was right [Music] there third and long and he'll try to throw for it couldn't find a man just had to throw it away to avoid a negative play coach has no choice here the offense has to stay on the field down multiple possessions this fourth down attempt coming can't find his man it'll be incomplete and that is a heartbreaker this late in the game he'll try to keep this clock moving on the ground and he was fortunate not to lose yardage on that play able to wedge it back to the line of scrimmage we reached the two-minute warning and this offense will be quite content just to drain the rest of the time away he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple timeout called there by the defense desperate to get the ball back and save as much time as [Applause] possible they'll
