not for us they don't have any issues either anyways let's get into the game one of the most PR settings in all of sports in the shadows of the San Gabriel the rosebowl and Pasadena California it will come alive when the powder blue clad F start the eight CL and u l all right so we're to against them so far a littlea or maybe of matchup will keep you wide awake as we know anything can happen when and that right there is a huge reason why this winning record coming into this game their defense takes the ball away and on the opening drive you see the athleticism in the back end of the defense it off and in F their Palmer senior first pick so the Hawai Rainbow Warriors offense will go to work for the first time as we take a look at our impact players for this game David what do you look for to make an impact from your leaders your leaders not only have to lead the football team but they got to step up and plays on the field keep everybody calm these guys job yeah David and they also generally set the tone for their respective football teams regardless of which side of the ball they play on the teammates look towards them to step up in big games like this really need to pick up this conversion and avoid having to settle for the field goal quarterback flips it ahead quickly to the oh he didn't block him just couldn't find any room and he wound up throwing it in reverse they lost yardage and they'll send out the field goal unit right down the boulevard it's good and with that they break the seal on the scoring it's three nothing tell you this is not an easy place to play Jonathan Franklin Maurice Jones Drew Zack shanet in recent years they've had a lot of ability at the running back position how about this name though little known fact the great Jackie Robinson also needed to find a rhythm in what better way and conting got it inride inside the 20 touchdown Bruin the grab and finish the deal in the end zone and what did I start for this offense the throw game getting working getting a touchdown pass this quarterback getting a little bit of confidence this passing game getting into Rhythm nice start for this [Music] offense now they'll up for what they hope is [Music] automatic and the extra point makes it 7 to3 and let's check in with Kevin Conor in the studio Kevin fellas it's a final now in one of the more intriguing games of the week that notable top 25 Clash Washington went into hostile territory e with a convincing Victory the Huskies always seem to get everyone's best punch but today they were the ones who delivered The Knockout each week in college football the tests are just so tough and we found that out again today guys with another ranked team going down about can't beat Kevin the oh what a pass that as they first finally finally the fake now to throw no he's going to get suck and the defense will Coral the quarterback down he goes if you run play action no one's open a big for the def with the first now adant is the offense comes up on second down and a good job in coverage there as they stop it after just a few decb Rising as the crowd Gets behind this defense on third down pocket starts to collapse and they fail to hook up on third down the Rainbow Warriors send out the punt unit first pun of the day and he love to lock him up close to their goal line and he will boom I guess that kind of worked no chance for return let's see where the official spot UCL will go back to work on offense they Unleashed an aerial assault last time that took them right to the end zone David So Reese with that drive I think you've accomplished something you wanted to accomplished make this defense think back on their heels now shoot you might be able to slip a few runs in on this drive to really Jack them up yeah I like that idea but I also like the fact that speed kills they've got it at the receiver position so if you got one-on-one matchups man take advantage swings it out to the flat they make the stop trying to pick up just a little bit at a time and get to that first down marker the Bruins come to the line in the hurry up to the air it's Duncan got the Quick Pass good pick up there they'll move the change and there set up at the 41 first down here for the offense really nice looking pass when I think back to the history of UCLA quarterbacks I think about guys carving up defenses in the Rose Bowl in perfect weather conditions with the gorgeous San Gabriel mountains is a backrop and this guy right here man he's lighting defenses up this season throwing it too in this game seems like stle some programs just seem to be built for a great passing game the patron saint of breu passers is Troy a and honestly Reese it makes me think of the the UCLA blue sweet uniforms with the gold just quarterbacks looking sweet just stoping running foring the defense to adjust there and they swarm him under they keep pushing forward now back to work on second and goal from the [Applause] six got him he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple third and goal from way back there from the guns to pass of a Cho just to throw that one away it'll Beth down and the field and the spot on the 14 for a 24 yd attempt never a doubt right down the middle I knew that was going so they're lining up to kick it off after that last Drive put a three spot on the board and now the defense will try to shut him down he'll call for the fair catch here Hawaii ready to go back to work on offense they hope to be able to cash in on this drive David after having to punt it last time yeah and I think this offense needs to start it with the first play you need to be successful and productive on that first play and it gets you in less predictable situations no doubt too don't you just feel like there's a little bit more sense of urgency on this drive it just feels like they got to be able to put some points up on the board here after the incompletion it's second and 10 from their own 25 out of the gun they he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple defense is about seeing it and pulling the trigger and you can tell they pull the trigger so fast get to the back get him on the ground quickly trying to move the sticks on third down through the air that's reeled in it's Tomlinson he's close to the first down but they're going to Mark him just a little short one of the things I love about this defense is they just have such great awareness and they're always communicating they understood the down and distance they knew exactly what they needed to do to make the tackle to force the punt that is so well done this offense is completely confident in their ability to get one yard they'll go for it on fourth down well the sticks and he's down at the 41 that's a first down and the Rainbow Warriors come to the line with a new set of downs they go to the draw he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple that linebacker saw the express lane right to the ball carry and a great job by the defensive line getting some push making them use their resources on him linebacker comes free making the back field for a tackle for a loss and he tackle on the way to a solid pick up there while we're only through one these quarterbacks have been lighting up their stat [Music] line lots of time left and we're ready to get back to it and open the second period we've got this third down play to open the quarter they'll run the option now the TOs still running at the 40 and that's what this option will do to you they got the pitch man free and he was Off to the Races and that is such great execution by this offense third down and two they know you're running the football but they were physical great job creating a little bit of space Not only do you get the first down you chew up a bunch more yards too nice execution by this offense that completion gets them inside the 10 and the defense is running out room to defend the Rainbow Warriors have it with a first and goal they'll try to get it in with the Run let's go Warriors and this running back is so dangerous down close to the end zone he's got wiggle he's got great vision and burst and he showed all of those attributes TI game and they did on the extra point by the way knocked it right down the middle after that latest answer tied things up just about set to kick it away again he thought about bringing that out for a half seconding it to the 25 all right UCLA off is back on the field ready to go to work to the air on first down quickly nice tackle and the Bruins will hustle to the line nice quick throw there it's so important for quarterbacks to be able to find the Rhythm and to be comfortable and confident you want to just get the ball out quickly accurate easy throw you can tell that these two guys they that play in practice all the time and it's now showing up here on still Z zow dun to the how did he catch that and he's brought down after a nice game they'll line up right the 48 y up a field goal let's see what the defense can do on the run from inside his own five he was looking for some much to be found as he stopped at the 18 Hawaii has it back as they send the offense onto the field and David how they would love to stick it in the endone one more time after that last drive and once you get the defense on their heels and you back them off a little bit you get in a little bit of Rhythm it's really hard to stop Jesse and they're going to try to do it again right here and if you're this play caller you're loving what's happening right now because everything you dialed up on that last Drive ended up working out you're just looking at your play sheet everything you're picking is working let's see if they can pull it off again here they'll snap it from the gun on third down oh I got he got a hand in there knocks it away incomplete and the Rainbow Warriors will try to pin them back with the punt this will be the second time they've had to kick it do I have to score all the time or something it's ridiculous all right about the 28 yd line offense getting set for first [Applause] down dang that brother catches everything and Bruins head quickly to the line oh [ __ ] this may not be good to throw it's dunan Miss receiver there it's incomplete all righte couldn't find his man last time now they'll have tot third and four there's a reason why I don't call man from the gun wants to pass got him and he was drilled just as he released the pass it's [Applause] incomplete OPP break on the ball Force the incompletion and the punt team able to smack the ground the Hawaii off returns to the field the last time we saw this offense we had to look quick it was a three and out Jesse just had rib in that last drive so someone's going to have to step up and make a play David and get this thing going yeah let's find some juice find your guy find those plays that you know you can run inside out forward backwards get some first downs get some positive momentum fires to the big F and he'll move forward to the first they'll at5 nothing wrong with that nothing wrong with that it's a draw you'll take this every time five yards on the first down play and often times running backs love draw plays because there's less traffic in front of them the offensive line is selling pass the quarterback selling pass they don't get the hand off until the very last possible second so the D L rushed away up field [Applause] using our tight here the Rainbow Warriors to keep this drive huming from the gun they'll try to impose their running game and sticking to the run I tell you what a lot of teams that are really good are really stubborn and they continue to run the football even with little success so this offense is going to continue to focus on running the football you can tell finds the tight end he make the stop after the catch and still some work to do to pick up that first down so an example of a tight end doing a little unheralded work to set up a much better third down situation and I like the QB here re I like the decision where I understand let's get this football out let's get somei yard and then get to third down and we can God because we got rid of the football and took I did not think I had that one and I just need a crease I need you offensive lineman just like right here great job holding the point of attack don't let any penetration come in give me a little sliver and then you see the running back Palmer he'll do the rest lower oh man I had yeah it means a lot to this offense too to have a guy like this that always just seems to fall always short yard situations knows where that first down marker is and he's able to get those hidden yards in piles driving his legs to help keep this drive a lot and that defense is there to guide him out of bounds after a short gain they're close enough for a makeable field goal from the 26 but they'd love to convert this third and long intercepted saw him too late going saw him late do it late touchdown UCLA and this def I probably should have thrown it to the other guy but that was on me the tit end was wide open here so after that ready to go back to work on offense this possession will be test after squandering that long drive throwing a pick six Jesse you're right reys well I think this is really dependent too on the leaders in this huddle right now to oh he gets down field for the big catch he found plenty of room and he gets it to the 39 yd line whole situation changed after that last big play now it's first and 10 from the 39 and the defense finally makes the stop after the sweet run and good game first down here with for maybe one more play until the two-minute warning we've reached the two-minute warning and this thing has been onesided and they hope to at least have something to feel good about going into halftime the offense down to the 25 now first and 10 he wants to throw got his man quickly finally run out of bounds but he has this off rolling with a first down they've done a really good job identifying mismatches and they find one out of the back field there Reese I really don't think it's that hard my guy is better than yours oh [Applause] my the Line pass to 50 pass the 30 pass the 10 and he's he stopped right there dude that is so unfortunate Hawaii has it back as they s the off onto the field they find themselves in a pretty deep hole here but maybe a chance to grab a little momentum and regroup at halftime yeah a big chance like this is this is an opportunity this is the biggest opportunity in front of them in the game right now you got to get some points on the board you got to create something positive Jesse there hasn't been a whole lot to be positive about in the first half if I'm playing quarterback I'm locating my goto guy receiver who can I count on oneon-one to go and make me a play maybe even one on two who can go up catch the ball get us some yards and get us some points it's first and 10 from the 38 yd line right down the middle wide open down field and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play and the Rainbow Warriors have it with a first and [Applause] 10 he's going to pass now improvising there and he gets rid of it couldn't find anybody to throw to he'll just toss it away it'll be second down couldn't make the connection last time on second down he'll let it fly going to try to get it himself damn I tried sliding defs it up anding it back I don't care butach wants the officials to have another look at the monitor a timeout here thinks the call is going to end up going his way so he took a chance by using a Timeout on the challenge and it comes back to B him we'll see if he needs that timeout [Applause] later they just not going our way boys the Hawaii offense returns to the field they come into this third quarter with a lot of work they need to get done yeah and it starts with this possession and and I'm I'm going piece by piece I know this is coach speaking very simple I score I get a stop I score I can get back in this game but it's got to be one drive at a time it it's going to have to be but I think the mindset offensively is we're probably going to have to score every time we get it because our defense has been struggling they have not been getting a lot of stop so this is a critical drive here for this offense third down and this offense is already in a world of trouble they could really use the conversion not to mention multip score oh what a do right on the money to the outside he draged the toe and how about the ball only the receiver could get looking for a productive play on first down he wants to throw receiver looks it in it's complete a nice job by the QB there timing out that drag throw it's zon coverage so he's got to make sure he gets it to his receiver in a window to allow him to catch the ball and then turn it up field hand off to the single back and he won't quite get there but boy after that pick up just a few inches to go for the first and a way of possibilities Here and Now on third down after that last run they'll try to pick up the first through the air Zing it complete to the right he's got enough to move the chains and they'll spot it at like this always happens job there by the quarter understanding that it's Zone coverage on third down you're going to have to find someone working into a soft spot get the ball quickly make an accurate throw and pick up the first well done what unfortun was a nearas now dealing with and 13 and that option game can be tricky right but line lock I press if I press triangle the you know what I'm saying like if I press triangle theth will give you an eight clap and a heartbeat they'll get jacked up they'll get excited and when you think about a defense you got to get those guys up front at this point I'm just going to play offense oh that's not on first down here comes this [Applause] offense wasting no time throwing on this drive he's got the back in the middle knock down immediately but a nice pick up on that one the Rainbow Warriors are in the hurry up and you see so many smart wide receivers so many smart tight ends nowadays that they know where the holes in those zones are and they work with their quarterback and they find them and they sit down in him and make big plays it's to Zone get such a smart player flushed out of the pocket just gets rid of the football nobody to throw it to it'll be second down a nice job by the quarterback there you're outside the pocket nobody's open so you throw the ball away knowing that you still have more chances to get this first down after the incompletion it's second down he's looking to throw it's complete and the enough for the first down it's so nice as a quarterback when you've got a guy like that working for you in the slot he has such a good feel to find the Open Spaces in the defense just makes life so much easier for his quarterback it's complete to the left they get it down to the seven on that pass play in Prime position for a score well we see another catch by this guy this defense is going to need to do a better job of T in coverage I know they want to slap the ball away but if you can't do itce the you got to at least make Hawaii and they'll put that [Applause] score Hawaii ready to go back to work on offense last time they had it they took it down the field for a touchdown they can build some confidence that they could go backto back scoring drives here yeah remember it's not uncommon for offenses to find themselves as the game goes on they had some things not go their way early but they found something last Drive David let's see if they can build on yeah you you you just pick and pick and pick until you find that place where you're like okay this is an advantage I have they clearly found that dude they score here we're in for a ball game from inside the 40 at the 37 it's first down power football with the Run tell me if I don't throw two Pi six of it it'll be second and five I know the passing game sells the passing game is exciting but it's not exciting to get five or six yards a pop on the ground but it will be very successful throws the end okay KCK off [Applause] again I guess Hawaii it back as they the onto the field he'll pull it down and run and a flag flies incomplete let's see who it's on I got scared this defense happy with how that last play turned out able to climb the penalty this offense has a second down play misfired on the last play they'll go back to the air and he'll pick up the first down after a tough run there sometimes these guys just have eyes in the back of their head you saw it right there he was able to buy himself time get outside the pocket and at that point I think the decision was pretty easy hey I can go get this with my feet he was able to do that now they got a fresh set of down oh he dropped it and the physical play there forces the incom on first down that's unfortunate they'll line up for a second down he's looking to throw and that's he dropped it inom that was a physical match up there third down coming they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here firing to the right complete he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense and the Rainbow Warriors are flying down the field going up top on first down and with not much doing down field he parents opened in the stands and threw it to them well this guy must feel like he's run into a buzzsaw in this game he has been under duress all game long and that's a big reason why he's thrown multiple interceptions in the game too nothing coming easy to him it's he's got it up to 20 let's go he breaks into the open and he'll take it in they couldn't get him on the ground touchdown Warriors the Hawaii offense returns to the field all right let's see if I can stop him they'll run it out of the shotgun ran to that daylight to pick up six to the 22 I know it's sexy to throw the football but if you can pound it away and get these kind of gains they will just add up wear the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some points and the pass is incomplete thanks to a big hit my job is to make sure that ball comes loose and I got to go through that guy use my shoulder pad drive my feet and really really be physical damn and this sopore able to wak some havoc and get the sack down by multiple possessions they can't come up empty on this drive in the fourth quarter they'll go for it on fourth down he's going to let it go [Applause] he's big big gain on that out of bounds with a first down Rainbow Warriors come what I'm talking set of downs he's looking to throw it trying to get to him floating away defense is all about creating negative plays and he does a really good job at the quarterback's bottom not taking sacks like that's a great job he wants to throw the football the clock goes off he takes off and gets a positive game a little TI mov [Applause] Hawaii the offense starts with a short field the give to the back determined effort to pick up six and get it inside the Red Zone and down to the 16 got six on first down now a lot of options on second and four gets it out fast they get him stopped at the 5 yd line but it will be first and goal from there this quarterback is having a Heisman moment in this game these are the types of games that Heisman voters are going to pay attention to he's now got over 450 passing he pushes his way down to the four as they get closer and closer now on second and goal receivers is telling the quarterback what they see looking to throw on second down I was really trying to throw it out youself think on Third and goal he's got it Warriors and they've moved out front here in the four I think one of the most underrated we talk about with the QB is timing being able to get the ball out of his hands to his receiver where he can continue to catch Hawaii ready to go back to work on offense he Wast no time and comes out throwing and he can't find anyone open and down he goes a sack here late in the four listen to this Crow just shaking and he can't get it off taken down what a huge play this late in the game defense getting a boost from this crowd on Third and long looking to throw and he needs a bunch okay and they'll miss the connection here on third down well the defense finally showing some life there it's been tough SL too cuz this offense has been lighting them up through the air but a nice indiv ual effort that time forcing the incom ah first down here for the offense looking to move it through the air and man oh man he is in the dark tonight his fourth [Applause] interception we just fell apart boys offense set on first down he's going to pass trying to make magic on the scramble pass the 40 there he goes and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play timeout is called by the offense they have 14 seconds left they'll throw it on first down buys a little extra time got rid of it just in time just couldn't find an open man he'll get rid of it and it'll be second down and after this play the cake will be bit on second down he'll try to make the connection here's a throw down field late ande yo what's up man in this one fun game for us to watch but they can't come up with the w yeah and it's a team game right the offense did their when their and we see a lot of games like this in college football when both offenses are just trading blows back and forth and it just comes down to which defense can get a stop unfortunately for the losing team they just not do four pick sixes so Tech do eight touchdowns unfortunately still can't be UCLA bro how's it going uh SpongeBob's the best rapper what a name I don't know how I lost br's exposure just by sitting at home what do I know all right all I have to do now is not throw four picks in a game easier said than then in theory we should win this game We Know the Way to San Jose heart of the Silicon Valley and home to the San Jose State Spartans an anticipation has been high all week for this one there's nothing quite like a great rivalry matchup in there always butterflies to start a game but when you have a rivalry like this the adrenaline is pumping on overdrive guys they aren't all the same we say that but we know differently the blood is boiling the temperature is hot Jesse you want this week more than most yeah bab we played in these games before everything just seems to be heightened right the game seems to be moving faster the crowd noise feels louder your composure will be early in a game like [Applause] this5 the at the got and he got loose [Music] it and these offensive coordinators tell you they want to start fast and they want to the r game that is exactly what you did first drive you the football off the bive got the for this football lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown [Applause] Drive he'll bring it out from inside his own 10 he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 so Hawaii's offense will have its first possession of the game as we take a look at our players for this one what are you looking for Jesse for a guy to make an impact well these are simply put the leaders of this football team and generally games go how these guys play if they make plays they've got a shot to win this one no doubt they got to show up these are the team leaders these guys have to play well if they're going to win the football picked up two yard on that last one they need eight on second down to up of the hands to knock it away I know you want to prepare for every game the same way but there's just something different about rivalry games Jesse it's because Rees I think players are aware that games like this Define your legacy as a player your record in rivalry games is something that people are going to talk about for years and years down the road you have got to show up and play your best football in games like this already down a score early the last the P the balls on the ground the def pounced on that now they're headed the other way touchdown Hawaii has it back as they send the offense onto the field to say this has been a slow start is a bit of an understatement and they really need to get it going here Jesse that's right the opponent they're firing an all cylinders right out of the gate offensively for this unit they've been slow and struggling they need an explosive play to wake themselves up yeah and it's just the first quarter so it's not the end of the world you've seen slow starts but you got until you that play that that you can use against this defense they come to the line facing third and from the 25 oh that's actually on the way it's picked off and they'll drag him down after a good return on the interception a first down use the play fake now to throw going for the and that ball is picked off and they'll close in on him after a return guys I got to I don't know what's going on I don't really throw pick like that but I'm just like see if this drive goes better than the last one they were in and out quickly after the quick David and there was nowhere to for this qu and down he how does he see if they can a little after the it's second and he's looking to throw he's right on target and the explosive play and they're on the move all the way to the 44 the Rainbow Warriors want to pick up the tempo well the defense did a nice job taking everything away down the field but once the drag route was caught it just couldn't rally to the ball carrier in time to make a tackle and as a result you set it down ripped off a huge chunk play on that one as he gets the first down before he steps out of bounds and the Rainbow Warriors come to the line with a new set of [Applause] out throwing on first [Applause] finally the offense set for a first down play he wants to start this drive with a pass buying some time couldn't find anybody to throw to he'll just toss it away it'll be second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again a little free snap eye candy for the defense throwing right oh he dropped ite and I tell you what we've kind of gotten to the point where we expect QBs to be robots and just never to miss and always put it right on the face sliding we anticipate this one being much tighter than the last time these two met when it was a blowout David and here's the thing you got an opportunity right now you got theball in this to show you is going to be more the oh they catch St some players they're all very aware of what happened the last time these two teams played so everybody's a today re your right we expect this one to be a lot tighter out of the gun they'll run it inside well it's plays like that that will help this offense stay in Rhythm all game long if you can have that kind of success on first down running the football tempo when you're going to run a comeback route you've got to S like you're going deep and that was a great job there by the receiver really making that corner think he was running deep down the field so he got the corner to turn his hips turn his shoulders and then the receiver was able to just pivot around to make it an Easy Pass C give it to the back and a really nice run and pick up there drive moving he'll do it himself y I knew that by it's a nice job by this defense understanding listen that QB is a threat and they're going to run all kinds of options and he's going to run the football they were dialed in and got that suer to the ground ninth play of the opening drive coming up and now they face a third down trying to get to it and this able to wak some havoc and get the sack it's wise not to be too greedy and they'll go ahead and send out the field goal unit he's going to reach for a long one a 52 yd attempt got it it's good and the first points of the day come on that field goal after putting up a three spot the kickoff unit set to go this is a team that really Prides themselves on starting fast we've seen that before and here they are playing at home today nice job on the opening drive lots of poise good emotion they don't get the touchdown they would have liked but they kick a nice fiable they've got the lead that coach has to be happy about on first down here comes this offense it'll be a draw and a pick up of eight opens a world of opportunities on second and two after the good pick up on first they keep on the ground he's going to pass on second down okay why did it take him so long to pass the ball explain that he took like 20 years to pass looking to throw for it quick strike complete and works it to the 40 y be that brother took like 20 years I passed right before from the gun the running back has it we'll give him a couple on that one second and eight coming up you know runs like this often times are like a boxer in a boxing match obviously it's not a knockout punch but these are body blows and as the game goes on these small gains are going to turn into longer R fires into traffic intercepted got some room to run after making the interception he took it all the way okay so here comes the offense returning to the field off the play fake on first down wants to throw feeling some heat oh why can I again on second down he'll let it fly got his Man Down field that one could really put this drive into high gear as they have a first down at the 37 here's this offense with a fresh set of downs pressure coming and he can't escape and down he goes and the Rainbow Warriors in the hurry up he wants to throw here on second down okay a little too much on that one just out of his reach sometimes a quarterback just needs to turn the ball loose it was like he tried to guide that one in and it disrupted the timing and and just like in basketball when when you shoot a shot you start trying to aim it you really really miss you know quarterbacks they got to quickly recognize do I need to fire it I need to put a little air underneath it and it's just a tough thing for a quarterback to be able to do but over time you see they Maps like that still running at the 40 and they finally get him to the ground an easy conversion for this offense defense not exactly the perfect fourth down call there really good job there don't force anything take your time and he finds bro I just got to stop taking St on second and long he's looking to throw going for all throw to the end zone it's picked off and the Freshman just show first down here for the offense motion by the back forces the defense to adjust gets it to the back and I think they'll give him two on that with second and eight coming up a lot of urgency for this offense he's looking for an open man on second down reacted well to the tip it just couldn't squeeze the football instead of the turnover it'll be third down they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one grab near the marker it's Collins now with a great opportunity as they pick up the first down they've got it at the 40 the Rainbow Warriors come to the line with a new set of downs wide receiver shows motion touch pass on the Rock able to pick his way forward for a decent game before the defense gets him down picked up some yardage on the ground now here comes second down he's looking to throw fires to the tight end and chunk plays are the name of the game and they get one here before the defense finally makes the [Applause] stop they'll go to the air getting some [Applause] heat they're backed up first and 10 from inside their own five and they'll try to get this drive started they'll try the Run gives them a little more Breathing Room a three y gain to the seven after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven he's looking to throw gets it out quickly and he'll step across the sidelines after making a good gain on that one 30 and short they've got them back up inside the 20 and the D can get the ball back here he'll get it out to the 25 not bothered at all being backed up and they've got a first down here this with a trying to find his man on first down he makes the connection he's brought down solid pick up a little bit short of the first down picked up some yardage with that completion now second down he's looking to throw wide open down field they'll get him down but not before he crosses the 50 he's down to the 49 and the Rainbow Warriors are moving quickly down the field pre snap Motion in the back field he's going to run it they'll rip off eight on that play it's second and two I think he did a really good job first of all keeping his eyes downi you could see he wanted to throw the football but when it's not there Don't Force It tuck it down get some POS yards and they wrap him up but not before he gets enough on the catch for the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs he'll come out throwing on first down using the quick game all the way down to the 25 yd line move the STI first we reached the two-minute warning and we have ourselves a ball game and they have a chance to take the lead here before the half coming after him and he can't find a receiver and down he goes they've got a solid Drive working but now looking at second and 11 he's looking to throw safe completion on the screen they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall to set up the screen and create some Lan for their running back it's first and 10 from the 13 they're looking to pass from the Red Zone damn and this sophomore able to wreak some havoc and get the sack they've already racked up big sack numbers it's starting to snowball and they are ready to go again it's caught that throw and catch gets them down to the six and the defense is running out of answers they'd love to pick up this third down and get a fresh set with first and goal they're going to try to throw for it on third down and he'll step into the end offense set on first [Applause] down they'll crank up this drive with a pass finds spot in the middle they make the stop but not before they do their work up top and pick up a first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs from the gun the running back tries to hit the hole hey five to six yds a pop I don't know if you guys are really good at mad but that usually equals a first down every couple carries so don't forget about the Run game keep them honest P that R it's aw the5 Lo I'm so focused on that on the down to the 32 and they pick up another first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs wants to throw on first down and the quarterb will take a sack back how do they get so out get and feels the heat coming and it burns him up another sack we might as well State the obvious first and second down didn't work out third and very long complete to the left is exactly what you're looking for when you talk explosive plays the defense finally able to make the stop now from inside the Red Zone oh hit hard just as he released it on first down and just couldn't get it to the receiver they'll try again on second down after the incompletion he's looking to throw catch in the middle it's Perry a sixy pick up that leaves him with third and four I love offenses and quarterbacks that are willing to take the easy stuff take those easy throws that are guaranteed to get positive yard dude and the pressure gets there and down he goes at the now on fourth down they'll send out the field goal unit and this one splits the ight the Hawaii offense returns to the field Jesse they had to kick a field goal the last time they had it yeah often times early in games you're just trying to find your Rhythm some things work some don't on that first drive David be interesting to see what happens here in the second Drive yeah you got to feel for the defense now you understand what they're trying to do what their game plan is now you get to go into phase two of your game plan he is tackled but it'll be a fresh set of downs lot of yardage in front of them and 10 from their own 19 he's looking to throw it using the back as a receiver on the screen they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall to set up the screen and create some Lan for their running back Rainbow Warriors with the first and 10 looking to move it through the air sends it down field he's got it down the left and a pick up of better than 30 y yard s on that completion before the defense brings him down and this defense is going to have their hands full because they're going to need to be comfortable with guys one-on-one on islands in the perimeter of the field and they're just going to have to make better plays than what we saw right there they knew this offense was going to try to be aggressive effort after the productive first down play it's second and six he's looking to throw quickly complete and this defense has its work cut out to get this dude on the ground he was shedding serious tackles on his way to picking up the first now inside the 20 first and 10 from the 18 they're threatening to score in they'll throw it Warriors let's go finally a first down for the offense trying to start the drive with a pass buys a little time with his feet it is hard to continue to get up get up get up like he has being sacked time after time again but this QB this offense they're undeterred and contining to put Drives together and most importantly they're winning the football game they bring him down but a solid pick up to put them in position to pick up a first down here on third down for this offense from the gun wants to pass working that left side now at the 40 there he goes he was just a breath from taking that one all the way and he'll run that momentum right into the fourth quarter and you want to talk about his favorite receiver it might be everybody based on the number of guys getting touches in a chance to show off their hands in the passing game one quarter to go and might we have the makings of a classic fourth quarter finish offense lines up for a first and 10 from the 43 they're going to run it to the right and he's able to find a little bit of Running Room before they get him down they've got a lead here in the fourth quarter and there's certainly still plenty of football to go but this is where you'd love to control the flow of the game right you want to dictate everything to the defense and you do that by running the football that was a really nice run this offensive line is firing off late looks like they're getting stronger as the game goes on and that is a for the the officials offer the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the penalty offense will try to strike on First and 10 the give to the tailb brought down after picking up three down to the 22 at this point of the game the offense has the lead the offensive coordinator knows they to keep running the football so he's going back he's looking at his playlist he's saying which runs work the best for me in this game what can I lean on right here to make sure we win this one really nice stop there from this senior leader and these little touch passes man they're just the easiest completions ever for quarterbacks Palmer I bet you would have Lov being able to just Flip It Forward that counts as to your completion percentage which is good and then it's all run after the catch so pretty easy for a QB you wouldn't have been the only All-American in this Bo Dame if I were allowed to push when I was playing and let's hold on just a minute here as the officials are going to have a second look and the play will stand after the replay booth just does a little double checking to make sure and this offense not only has a chance to extend the lead on first and goal but they can also drain the clock he makes the grab he was fortunate not to lose yardage on that play able to wedge it back to the line of scrimmage can the defense stop again on second and goal to the end zone he goes is it just me or is I'm I'm the one that's doing all the work they're just like get chunk play they're trying to slow that Rush down with the draw these little gains can start to add up as he gets it up to the 34 it's a point in the game I think as a coaching staff where you really challenge your offensive line to go win the football game right we've got to lead late we're going to run the football and the defense and everybody in the stadium knows that's what's going to happen can we run the ball down their throats and impose our will that's what this offense right now is trying to do nothing doing down field he'll cut his losses and throw it away it'll be third down they'll try to run for [Applause] itun moves to change as they get to first down fresh legs man and it is showing of course this team had the buy last week and you're seeing it right now late in the game running the football imposing their will against the defense that looks tired of course they had to play last week and and you're seeing that right now you know you're seeing in college football now with spread offense and Tempo and air raid we're seeing more and more 400 yd days but I can't remember the last time I've seen one look as impressive as this guy has played today David he has been on fire and it's so annoying because all the quick foot game is so good and then you take shots when you get matchups and you see tight ends now that that move like wide receivers and running backs that move like receivers there's so many ways that quarterbacks can hurt you now and he showed all of it today hands it off they wrestle him to the ground but he's got plenty for a first down well the defense didn't Blitz they didn't have everybody in gaps and the offensive line took advantage at the point of ATT back getting some push opening up a hole and the offense ripping off a nice run there he snares in the end touch down Rainbow Warriors defense trying to keep this offense from getting a line on who to block line gets set first down not much working there it'll be second and time out called there by the defense desperate to get the ball back and save as much time as possible you got to believe they just want to run it take care of the football and keep that clock moving on second and nine he's out past the 35 defense on skates that time they finally drag him down at the 42 quick timeout called by the defense stopping the clock to save as much time as possible for their offense he'll keep it himself dang it he's dropped behind the line of scage that'll be a Los of Def if was trying to get that ball back and preserve time for their offense last play was a near disaster now dealing with second and 1 the hand off keep working on that clock he's brought down but there's a flag on the field see they say you could call holding on every play well they did on that [Applause] one let's see what they've got on second [Applause] down those last two running plays guys were awful let's see if they try to convert through the air on third down and they'll take a knee and watch this clock keep on winding winding its way toward a victory and Rainbow Warriors will line up to punt it away this will be their first punt of the afternoon no return coming H it's really easy to get caught up in the emotion of a rivalry game we did this was a huge win yeah [Music] dang it have to find another achiever okay all I just got to learn to stop thring pcks with this team that's going to be it
